Blue Devil

Chapter 42 - Wakanda.

"What's a devil got to do to get a drink around here?" Nick complained as he stood in front of a group of people all of which were discussing him in their own language, Wakandan.

Of course Nick could only understand them because he took the memory's of speaking it and other languages from one the female guards head who had escorted him through the building.

There was an old black man with white hair and he was sitting in what looked like a throne in the middle of them all, he hadn't taken his eyes off of Nick since he was brought in.

"Haah, this is getting boring." Nick sighed as he flexed his arms, breaking the parts that was holding the cuffs together and he then released his stingers and cut the cuffs off his wrists.

And while he was doing this he was surrounded quickly by the female guards from all around the room with their spears pointing right at his neck, shouting at him to get down on his knees.

"Mum did always say I was going to be popular with the ladies." Nick grinned, chuckling to himself before he suddenly teleported leaving them all wondering where he went.

"I'm over here." Nick called from behind the throne, his stinger underneath the man's throat, cutting into him just a bit, but with how sharp his stingers are who could blame him.

"I'm just going to take the king here for a little while and pop back in a jiffy, you won't even miss us." Nick smiled to the stunned people in the room before he teleported away with the king, a good thing too because as soon as they disappeared a spear had replaced where Nick's head just was.

...

"Come on old man! I thought you were the black panther!" Nick shouted at the old man on the ground with a nauseous look on his face, Nick completely despised T'Chaka, sitting on top of so much power, one word from him would flip the world upsidedown but no, he had to be a coward like all the black panthers before him.

Nick thought angrily as he looked at the pathetic king, he was everything Nick didn't want to be and so represented just what he hated about himself and what he possibly could be if he didn't start to make a difference.

It was at this moment that Nick reaffirmed his goals and promised to himself that he would start to actually make a difference in his new chance at life.

"Get the hell up! I've seen children handle teleporting better then you!" Nick gritted his teeth as he looked down at T'Chaka, he knew it was wrong to take his own self hate out on the king but his mind was too clouded with the recent events.

The painful process of having his entire skeletal system changed to metal, dying and getting into a relationship with Death and then when Felicia found out and ran off.

He needed an outlet and T'Chaka was a perfect target.

"Come on, before I lose my remaining patience. I need to show you something." Nick said down to the man before walked past him and into the next room.

Only after the king had finished dry heaving did he actually look up again and weakly climb back up onto his feet and after some hesitation and looking down at his feet did he followed after Nick.

"Allow me to present to you, Ulysses Klaue's. I've heard that he has eluded you for quite some time now." Nick said once the king had walked into the room, pointing to a man stuck to a chair with what looked like black webbing. There was also some covering his mouth, stopping him from talking.

The king looked on shocked, but what also seemed like a hint of regret and anger but from what Nick could tell not directed at Klaue.

"And that's what really surprises me, how has this man been alive for so long if he is who you and I know him to be... a thief, a murder of innocents and I'm sure that all of his other crimes would take too long to list. So! Why is he alive?!" Nick demanded of the king, trying to get a response from him, get him to reveal his true nature, his killer intent rolling off him in waves, all directed at T'Chaka.

Nick suddenly grabbed Klaue's head, ignoring his muffled protests, and forced it so the brand on his neck was directed right at T'Chaka, "How did he just get off with this if not for you allowing him to... but why would you do this? ... That's the question I have been asking myself ever since I learned of this little story." Nick asked the guilty looking man before him, letting go of Klaue's head and walking so he was directly in front of T'Chaka, looking down at him with hate.

"So, why did you do it?" Nick asked, his voice cold and piercing, stabbing at what was left of T'Chaka's sanity.

T'Chaka was completely silent.

"No? ... Let me answer for you then, you let this monster run free because you wanted to cling to your power as long as you could, wanted to give your country a common enemy that they could all hate ... probably letting you get a bit more free rein in the process ... 'He can't be a bad king if he's still trying to get justice for my dead family.' ... that's it isn't it, you want to keep their hate off of you and onto him when they actually realise that you haven't progressed your country at all... Well, am I right?" Nick asked him the king but he stayed silent, retreating in on himself, trying to hide from Nick's accusing eyes.

"ANSWER ME!!!" Nick screamed, shaking in rage, his Byakugan activating and the eternal flame becoming more fierce as if affected by his rage, it started to grow bigger and more blood red in colour around where it would have eyes and mouth.

All the king could do was nod his head weakly and choke out a, "You're right." Quietly.

And upon hearing this confirmation Nick's rage was settled having served its purpose... to get T'Chaka to confess to his crime's and so he was satisfied.

"Good, now here's what's going to happen next, when we get back you are going to make me an honorary citizen of Wakanda or whatever the equivalent is and then you're going to arrange for a public execution for Mr. Klaue's here, said execution will be carried out by me, seen as I'am the 'hero' in this little tale you're going to help me tell." Nick smiled deviously at the man.

Said man could only nod his head along to Nick's wishes.

...

"We're back!" Nick shouted once he teleported the three of them back into the throne room, Klaue still stuck to the same chair on Nick's left, the king was doing his best to not look depressed on Nick's other side.

As soon as they had reapeared there was multiple shout's of, "My King!" From all around the room.

"Alright stop crying, you're meant to be royal guards! Act like it!" Nick shouted at them, releasing a lot of blood l.u.s.t all across the room, making all the people stop in place, there was even some people who fell down onto their behinds crying because of their new found fear of Nick.

"Oi! T'Chaka! Get control of your people!" Nick said slapping the king on his back, waking him up from his daze, the king looked around the room unfocused before he turned back to Nick and his eyes seemed to regain a bit of light, but it couldn't hide the ingrained fear of Nick, "Weapons down, as of this moment Nick Stark, the Blue Devil, is an honorary citizen of Wakanda due to his admirable efforts in the capture of Ulysses Klaue." T'Chaka said over the quiet room earning him a few gasps and mumbled chatter on the subject.

But there was one voice that was above the rest, "What?!" A young girl standing in the doorway shouted, next to a young man, Nick instantly recognise them as Shuri and T'Challa, the king's children. The future Black Panther and a technology genius.

"You heard him right Princess, no need to shout, some of us have s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e ears." Nick said as he rubbed his ears, faking that he's hurt by over dramatically wincing.

Everyone around the room was shocked by how Nick was acting with their mouths hanging open.

But Nick didn't care one bit, "Get the other task sorted king'y, I'll be taking a look around while you get things ready." Nick said while he was walking out of the throne room, past the still shocked people and T'Challa and Shuri at the doorway, he didn't even spare a glance back at them after he walked out, they weren't the reason he was here.

The room only filled with noise again when Shuri started shouting at Nick while she ran after him, "Hey! Wait up! She sounded excited.

...

"Hey! Oi! Slow down, you don't even now where you're going!" Shuri w.h.i.n.ed as she followed Nick along the corridor but when Nick stopped suddenly she ran into his wings, hurting her nose a bit.

While she was rubbing her sore nose Nick sighed and then turned around to face her, "What do you want?" Nick asked her, straightforwardly.

Now frowning Shuri said, "I wanted to talk to you, after all there is only one person like you in this world, I thought you would be interesting, but I guess not." She said proud of herself for what she felt was a spot on judgement, looking up confidently with her arms crossed.

"If that's it then goodbye." Nick then turned and started walking away again.

Leaving Shuri surprised because she normally got her way and didn't expect for Nick to react like that, she quickly ran after Nick and jumped on to his back her arms barely able to get around his tucked in wings and to his neck, she latching onto him for dear life, "Wait! I really want to talk to you!" She screamed desperately, with tears in her eyes.

Nick huffed annoyed at her child like attitude but gave in soon after, "Fine. We can walk and talk, there is somewhere I need to go before the thing I asked the king to do is sorted out, you can come if you want."

"Yay~!" Shuri cheered happily.

...

'This has been the greatest mistake of my life ... well it made top five at least' Nick's current unhappy state was because of the curious young woman walking along side him, she wasn't annoying or a bad talker it's just that she didn't stop, very word out of her mouth was a question about him, about what his abilities were, why his eye were like they are, and even things like what shade of blue his di*k was, who the hell asks that?!!! Well apparently she does... and she didn't even stop there! Does she have no shame!

"Alright that's enough! Do you really I will tell you these things! Especially that last one, I mean do you really think I would tell you what colour blue my d*ck is! I mean, come on!" Nick raged at her.

"I'll just have to find out for myself then... " She mumbled to herself quietly with her head down but that did not stop Nick from hearing her.

'Great now I've got a bunch of assh*le's laughing at me inside my head.' Nick thought as he listened to the rabbit eared fox, over grown chicken and parasite laugh at him, the only good thing was that the eternal flame couldn't laugh yet and Shukaku loved him too much to laugh, 'I've decided, you're one of my favourite son's Shukaku.'

There were then some triumphant yells and I told you so's directed at Kurama.

"It doesn't matter, we're here now." Nick said as the walked into a room filled with different ancient weapons, mask's and statue's.

He walked up to a small panther statue on one of the shelves, picking it up and then dropping it on the floor, shattering it into pieces.

"What are you doing?!" Shuri screamed at Nick as she rushed past him to the broken statue.

Nick ignored her and bent down to the broken pieces and picked up a smooth black piece and holding it up to the light so he could see.

It was a panther head that seemed to be made of obsidian, the eyes looked alive with a purple glow and the sharp teeth silver, most likely vibranium considering where it came from.

It was the amulet of Bast, the panther goddess, it would be his gift to Felicia, he couldn't think of anyone better suited for it, he just hoped it would be one of the things that would lead to them together again ... hopefully ... a man could hope couldn't he.

"What's that?" Shuri asked him, her curiousity surpassing her anger of Nick breaking the statue.

"The entire reason I came to wakanda... oh and to get a full body vibranium armour but you could help me with that couldn't you?" Nick asked her rhetorically.

...

"Well here it is, the Panther Habit, made from a uniquely crafted vibranium-weave, completely bulletproof and near-indestructible. Due to the lightweight properties of the vibranium the suit doesn't inhibit the wearer's mobility in the slightest, the wearer then becomes physically superhuman, enhancing their durability to be able to withstand explosions and gunfire, as well as strikes from physically stronger opponents. The gloves have a vibranium-laced knuckles built in, while the toes are also laced with vibranium, both of these are meant to enhance strike attacks. Vibranium claw's are embedded in the tips of the gloves' fingers, serving as the primary weapon. The claw's are exceptionally strong and razor-sharp. Cool right?" Shuri told Nick as she stood next to a mannequin with the black panther armour first seen in the movie.

"Very cool, would you like to see something even cooler?" Nick asked her before he said, "Alright Venom absorb it."

And right after he did black tendrils shot out of Nick's suit and attached them selves to the vibranium suit across from him, seeping into the armour and ripping it off the mannequin and towards Nick, letting it be absorbed into Nick body, at least that's what it looked like from Shuri's prospective.

Once the armour was finished being absorbed into Nick his black combat suit began to change, the clothes seemed to become fluid and bubble under the surface.

It finally settled down to a look that seemed between what his suit was before and the Panther Habit, hugging his body tighter but it still has the white markings and ammunition pouches.

A mask like the helmet for the Panther Habit but with pure white eyes briefly wrapped around Nick's head, they covered all but his horns, and then the mask retracted back down his neck.

"What the hell was that?!" Shuri exploded.

"It doesn't matter I have other business to tend to right now." Nick said before he smiled at her cheekily and he then teleported away from a very stunned woman who now seemed determined to get the answers she seeked.
