"That bitch dare to offend me. How dare she spout nonsense in front of me."

Adara entered her chamber which was no different than Charis's except everything in hers was overly decorated like each thing was snobby , pushing the door and it flew open.

Her robe was brushing the floor, scouring the dust all the way. The whimpering cl.u.s.ter of maids followed her half running and walking but no one dared to utter any single word to lower her temper. The guards outside in the arcade stiffened and thump the spade in their hand on the ground as the signature that they were actively doing their duty with diligence.

The iron spade made a significant sound against the marble floor in that quiet arcade as they saw the blabbering angry queen striding with a fast pace, her gait was the manifestation of bubbling volcano within her.

"She went too far by going against me. She is nothing more than a mere prisoner here. I have to teach her a lesson that- ill mannered brat."

Raging like a bull she was fuming with anger in the middle of the room and smacked her fist on the table twitching her teeth.

"Oouhh !"

In a fit she got herself injured and the hand was hurting like hell becoming red at once. The queen got her a.s.s whipped by a prisoner; whom she thought of no worth. Her pride got hurt immensely as no one ever had the temerity to disobey or to speak in a loud voice before her.

After all she was the one in authority having the title and the crown of being a queen. Solely she was the one managing the inner affairs and took an overt interest in particularly the building of soldiers; the daughter of the former general of the kingdom took this chance to live her freedom and upto her wish.

That was the moment she came across the most trusted and second in command to the King. Both grew feelings and started seeing each other, who would dare to stop him when the queen herself used to call him in her bed chamber for - work.

"You ! kneel here !"

One of the maids who was probably the chief of them got a chill settling at the base of spine as soon Adara pointed at her out of blue with fire in eyes.

"Mm-my Queen. I-I am sorry. Please for-give this servant."

She pleaded at once with teary eyes and shaky legs knowing what was coming.

"KNEEL!"

Unwilling to surrender she knelt more likely plopping onto the floor with eyes tightly shut. She stretched out her arms moving the sleeves a bit higher, exposing a bruised skin she remained rooted there wriggling like a mere insect who was caught by someone who was about to step on her.

Adara strode towards her princess bed and took off a whip from it's one leg, the atrocious queen was not in a mood to spare and she had to take revenge. In her way she would crush down every single person who ever did a mistake ; even unknowingly.

"Why did not you lie ? You were the incharge. You could have; You should know how to please your queen."

She swiveled the whip and give one beating to the maid on arms.

"Why did not you lie that Seren belonged to me ?"

She questioned her once more and again whipped her. The maid's face got smeared with black kohl as the tears washed it from her closed eyes. She was quivering under the shadow of the queen. She gave her a good beating until her anger subsided a little. Blood was flowing from her purple arm and the bruises split opened. The rest of the crew stood there quietly not to provoke her any further.

"Get lost you all. Get out right now from my sight !"

Adara shouted at them and all bowed immediately rushing out of her chamber. While a lady servant helped the chief to wobble out, stammering in the corridor everyone went off. She wandered about the room after their dismissal thinking of ways to teach Charis a lesson but her blood got boiled up once again as the insulting words were echoing in her ears; her pride was unsettling now.

[Sound of knock on the door]

Without even thinking for twice she permitted the person to walk in. Her creased brows dispatched at once , relieving her emotions a little.

"Come in."

She knew who it would be at this hour because of the specific twice gentle knocking.
