It was so dark in there, what was it I didn't know. No light of hope was coming inside. The wolves of fear engulfed me, I was in their claws, wounded badly. I struggled with my vision to see something.

My heart was thumping against c.h.e.s.t so fast that I could hear the beat in my ears. I went for my hands and found them untied, same as my legs. I wasn't held captive but still where I was laying ?

I was frightened that it was a dungeon or some underground cell because no ray of sunlight was daring to peep in. Or perhaps it was night time. I was fully aware that my powers were reduced from zero to none. It was difficult to comprehend my whereabouts without knowing my surroundings.

I stood up with my wriggling legs and a fearful heart. Walked cautiously around with my hands stretched out a little to analyse what things were present around me. The s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e pores of my hand touched the wall. It was rough mainly bricks attached to cement without any covering.

I feared that certainly I was underground but how I reached here. Yesterday I was in that magnificent chamber. And definitely I didn't passed out to be carried here. I had to escape, walking around I preferred to stay tucked to the wall to avoid stumbling.

The wounds on my t.h.i.g.hs weren't healed yet. A hiss left my lips with a whimper, I couldn't die there without clearing myself on terms. Finally after crossing a corner I leaped towards next wall and my hand landed on a handle. I couldn't wait for any further moment and pulled it in one go as I sighed out loud with a pounding heart.

And a ray pierced the darkness, dancing onto the stage of despair with the wings of hope. I stepped outside immediately locking my feet onto the ground firmly. It was a familiar place, it took me some seconds to recognize that I was kept in that lighthouse type tower.

I entered the gateway towards the inside of the kingdom. I knew I should've escaped but it was impossible with my current condition of body, I was a human now with no powers. While the people there mastered every possible magic.

I needed to find a way to restore my lost powers and abilities for that I had to stay in the medium I lost my magic within until I find solution.

I strode inside walking across those white houses again. It seemed that time loop was replying.

And I was stuck inside to live those all moments again.

Running across the streets I reached in the midst of the market area. No one noticed me walking alongside them. Wondering about the reason I passed by a tailoring shop.

Where the reflection in the mirror solved my mystery, I was standing there in a brown cape with a hoodie cap covering my pointy ears which I rested down.

I was awestruck that why would someone abandon me in outskirts of the kingdom with such a dressing.

I touched my cheek and pushed the cap onto my forehead to hide my glowing green eyes. Suddenly I heard some distant whispering. Though not clear, I averted my head a little and saw two ladies who gasped at my sight.

I remember what people did to me previously so I pulled the cap much down enough to hide my half face.

I wanted to see Ezlynn and others, where were they and how they led all this happen. I had many questions humming and buzzing in my head. The only place I could find them was the royal palace of King Theon as they were the part of royal servitude.

Striding towards the path where that soldier captured me, my heart raced faster upon those horrific flashes. I was figuring out the way when I heard a swarm of people cl.u.s.tering around, running in the direction toward me.

On the front my gaze slid onto the two ladies I saw previously. Every person had lights lit with fire in their hands. Their faces were creased with disgust, eyes filled with rage. They seemed ready to kill someone-or me !

My legs alarmed the senses and my feet carried me away from them. Running aimlessly in the streets from an other I turned my head behind from time to time but they were behind me all along. I heard a muffled shriek while my body qas drenched in sweat, panting I felt the swarm behind me when I reached a dead end.

'No it couldn't be the end of me. Not here.' Again my head spinned and I heard a voice much clear than before still not audible enough. A man stepped in the front with that lit wood, chuckled a demonic laugh and threw the wood towards me. Tears crawled down on my cheeks and I struggled to find way. When I heard a loud shriek again.

"CHARIS WAKE UP"

With a jerk I opened my eyes and found myself in the bed, all wet in sweat and tears dried on my cheeks.

"It's fine. Calm down Charis. It was a nightmare."

I shot up in the place and sat when Ezlynn c.a.r.e.s.sed my head and hugged.

"It was so horrible everyone was after me. I was helpless and-and he burned me alive. Ow I never ever had a nightmare. And never want to again."

My voice was stuttering but somehow I found solace in her embrace.

"Maybe that's a gift for you from Gods. A strange gift allotted in this kingdom."

Ezlynn chuckled softly. While I pondered upon her words.
