ANNE ALEXANDRIA CHLOE's POV

"Kill me if you want, mister but I won't tell anything to you. I'm sorry." This guy said as he looks seriously at my brother. W-why?

"Oh really? Then I'll be so glad to do that for you…" I heard my brother said and he was about to punch him when Ethan suddenly stops him.

"Brother, stop!" I said as I tried to stop him as well. My brother… His breathing is so heavy and fast right now and obviously, he's so mad right now… W-what should I do?

"What are you doing? I told you to control yourself, Xander!" I heard Ethan said in an authoritative voice as he pulled my brother away from us. Thank goodness, Ethan is with us but my brother is like a madly beast right now… He's so scary...

"How can I even do that!? I've already controlled myself enough, La Flair! And this b*stard is getting on my nerves right now!" My brother said as he started to yell at him once again. Brother… I was about to stop him when Ethan suddenly shouted that made us all shocked.

"Ramirez!" Ethan shouted that made my brother looked at him in shock.

"Calm down. Do you hear me? You have to calm down, Xander…" Ethan said as he tried to calm my brother who's very mad right now. It's getting out of hand right now and I don't think this person will answer all of my questions if my brother continues to lose his temper so I think it's better if I do this...

"Ethan… Can you please go out with my brother to calm himself for a while? I just want to talk to him privately." I said calmly that made my brother glared at me.

"What do you mean privately? I won't allow you to do that, Alexandria! I absolutely won't allow you to do that! That's very dangerous, Alexandria! What were you thinking!?" My brother said as he started to panic.

"But brother---" I said as I tried to explain to him when my brother suddenly interrupts me.

"No! I will never leave you together with this f*cking b*stard here!" My brother said as he continues to yell at me. What should I do? If this continues, I'm afraid that my brother will definitely lose himself this time.

"Brother, stop it already… Please!" I said because I'm starting to panic as well but when I returned my attention to my brother once again… I saw him looking at me seriously without saying anything. I couldn't help myself but gulped. D-did I say something wrong?

"I will be fine so please…" I said as I diverted my eyes on my brother. I don't know why but his gaze are different from earlier that it makes me even more nervous...

"Do whatever you want because it looks like you don't even need a brother by your side." My brother said so seriously that shocked me that made me returned my attention to him once again. W-what? T-that's not what I mean...

"I'll be going home now, Dylan because it's much better to go home than to wait for my stubborn sister outside of this room." I heard my brother said to Ethan as he walks out of the room even before I utter a single word. B-brother…

"Chloe…" My attention was once returned to Ethan when I suddenly heard him call my name.

"Don't worry too much. I'll take care of him." I heard Ethan said gently that made me smiled and slowly nod my head.

"Thank you, Ethan…" I said before I saw him walk closer to me and tapped my shoulder before leaving the room. I just took a deep breath. I'm really thankful that Ethan is here with us right now because if he's not here… I don't think I can handle my own brother and neither our bodyguards can do what he just did.

"Your brother is right, miss Chloe." My attention was once diverted when this person lying on the bed started to speak that made me turn to look at him. Oh, I almost forgot about him because of my stubborn brother.

"Aren't you afraid of being with me? After all, I am the one who kidnaps you." This guy said seriously that made me just sighed before I sat on the chair beside his hospital bed.

"But you're also the one who helped me so that I could run away from them and meet Ethan that night." I said as I seriously looked at him too and I can clearly see that he startled for a moment before regaining his composure once again. Oh, that was fast.

"You're pretty optimistic, miss Chloe." I heard he said while smirking at me. I just sighed.

"I know but I'm just saying the truth." I said as I crossed my arms on my c.h.e.s.t and looks at him.

"If it wasn't because of you who helped me escaped that time…" I said while he's still looking at me. If it wasn't him…

"I can't imagine what those men might do to me that time…" I said when I suddenly remembered those memories of that night gave me shivers to my body. I can't really imagine what might happen to me that night if he didn't help me…

"But still, I was the one who brought you in that situation and that's your most valid reason for you to hate me for the rest of your life and send me to jail." He said that made me realize something… Why do I have a feeling that he's trying to cover up someone by sending himself to jail?

"But I don't want to do that…" I said that made his eyes grew bigger as if he didn't expect that coming from me.

"What?" He asked in disbelief that made me just nod.

"I just want to know who that person is…" I asked that made him suddenly looked so troubled. Why?

"Why can't you just tell me who is the person who gives you an order to do that to me?" I asked once again but he just simply shook his head. Why?

"I'm sorry but I can't." He simply said. What? But why?

"But why? Why are you willing to sacrifice your own life just to protect that person's identity?" I asked that made him just looked at me so seriously as if he's trying to tell me that I should stop asking him about that.

"It's better for you if you don't know anything..." He said that made me even more curious and at the same time, nervous. What was that mean?

"But why?" I asked that made him just sighed once again.

"It's too complicated, miss Chloe." I heard he said. He's avoiding all of my questions!

"Then explain it to me clearly so that I could understand." I asked. I have to know… I have to know the truth… Please tell me...

"You're pretty persistent, miss Chloe." I heard he said before he smirked at me and crossed his arms across his c.h.e.s.t.

"Because I want to know the truth." I said while I'm still looking at him very seriously.

"Sometimes, it's better if you don't know anything than to know everything." I heard this guy suddenly said that irritates me. Oh come on! Just tell me the truth!

"But it's still better to know everything than to make you look stupid because you don't know anything." I said that made him chuckle.

"You're really optimistic, miss Chloe. I didn't know that you're such a brave girl…" I heard he said as he looks at me while still smirking at me.

"I don't care what you think about me, what I want to know who is that person that you've been protecting all this time." I said seriously that made him stopped and looked at me seriously. This is so annoying because the more he avoids my questions, the more it makes me even more nervous.

"You want to know? What if I still choose to stay silent? Will you send me to jail? Will your brother kill me?" I heard he asked that shocked me and gives me shivers on my body. W-what?

"What are you saying?" I asked because I don't know why but those things… It didn't even cross my mind so how can he even say that so easily?

"Your brother just threatens me just now, miss Chloe… Have you already forgotten about that?" He asked that made just gulped.

"Of course I will not let that happen!" I said. No way! I will definitely won't let that happen for the sake of our family's name!

"Do you really think I would believe you, miss Chloe?" He asked while smirking at me. W-what?

"What?" I… I don't get it… Why can't I convince him? Why can't he just tell me the truth!?

"You are a Ramirez… You came from a very powerful and well known family… You can easily disposed me anytime you want especially for what I have done to you…" He said emotionless to me. W-what?

"Now tell me, miss Chloe Ramirez…" I heard he said that made me even more anxious...

"Do you really think I will trust you?" I heard he asked. Oh no… Did I just made a mistake to talk to him privately?

"You know what, miss Chloe… It's really better if you don't know the truth so just forget everything and start all over again. After all, you've returned safe to your family, right? And as for me, you can send me to jail anytime you want and besides, I don't have any plans on running away from my crimes." He said seriously as if he's already made a decision. What?

"You don't have any right to decide on your own, mister." I said sternly that made him shocked. What does he think he is?

"And if you're that worried about your own safety then I can protect you. I promise you that just tell me the truth. Tell me everything that you know..." I said as I persuade him but he just chuckled and look at me like he doesn't believe me.

"What can a young mistress from a wealthy family can do with an older brother who has a great power than her?" He asked that irritated me. What?

"Don't underestimate me, mister." I said seriously to him while he's just looking at me amusingly. He's really making fun of me!

"I am Chloe Ramirez, the youngest daughter of the Ramirez Family and as long as you provide me the information that I wanted to know then I can promise you your own safety but if not then I don't have any reasons to stop my brother from doing whatever he wants to do to you…" I said seriously to him without even blinking while still looking at him. I saw his face suddenly changed and becomes serious once again. Right now, I'm serious. If he still chooses to stay quiet then I can't promise him not to send him to jail but letting my brother kill him… Of course, I will still never ever let that to happen! Moments later, I saw him took a deep sighed before he turns to look outside the window.

"The one who gave us an order to kidnap you is a friend of mine." He said that made me stopped. What? His friend?

"His name is Shinichirou Hiroshima." He continued. Shinichirou Hiroshima… His name is obviously a Japanese Name and to be honest, I don't really have many Japanese friends in the first place so I really don't have any idea who is him.

"Why does he wants to kidnap me?" I asked and saw him shrugged his shoulders before looking at me.

"I honestly don't know his reasons because even though we're friends. Shin is kind of a distant person so I don't really have any idea on what's he thinking." He said while looking at me and I don't think he's lying to me either but there is one thing that bothers me...

"But did you followed him? Didn't you know that what you have done is a crime?" I asked and saw him took a deep sighed again.

"Of course, I know that it's a crime but Shin is my friend and I honestly don't know why I followed him even though I know that it's a crime but when I saw those two men hired by him looking at you like that..." He said before he stops and divert his attention from me.

"I can't just leave you alone like that…" He continued that made me stopped for a moment while still looking at him.

"And that's why you saved me?" I asked. He's worried about me? So that means he's not really a bad person.

"I didn't even saved you that time and in return, I was badly injured." I heard he said before he looks at his injured body. I somehow pity him...

"But you still saved me and I'm thankful for that." I said to him that made him returned his attention to me and again, he looks so surprised.

"You may have done something to me but it was all forgiven by me when you risked your own life just to save me so I have decided not to send you to jail anymore." I said that made him shocked and look at me in disbelief.

"W-what? Are you serious? But your brother---" He said but was interrupted when I suddenly speaks again.

"I'll talk to him about this but for now I hope for you fast recovery, mister…?" I said as I smiled at him. He's still looking at me in disbelief before he took a deep breath and smiled at me as well. Eh?

"Isaiah. I'm Gabriel Isaiah Natividad, they used to call me Gin." I heard he said before he extended his arms to me.

"I know that you already know me but I want to introduce myself properly." I said as I extended my arms as well shake our hands.

"I'm Chloe Ramirez." I said as I smiled at him.

"Nice to meet you, miss Chloe and I'm very sorry for what I have done to you." Isaiah said as gives me a weak smile. I just nodded my head. I have a feeling that Isaiah is not a bad person…
