"Alex… Are you all right?" I heard Rachel suddenly asked that brought me back in my senses.

"Huh? I'm fine… Why did you suddenly asked that?" I asked. We are now walking back on campus because we just bought something in the nearby supermarket.

"Well… You look like you're not fine to me, Alex… What's wrong?" I heard Rachel asked once again that made me just sighed. Actually, something is really bothering me right now and honestly speaking… It's all about Isaiah Natividad, my new personal bodyguard...

"This is so unbelievable…" That's the only thing I can say when my brother finally left. I just shook my head as I took a deep breath and turned to look at the sky once again. What should I do now?

"Seriously... How can I give you my trust after you kidnapped me before?" I asked while I'm still looking at the sky as I saw him turned to look at me in my peripheral vision.

"I know that you find it weird for me to become your personal bodyguard but believe me… I will never betray you again, Lady Chloe..." I heard Isaiah said that made me turn to look at him and saw him looking at me seriously but calmly. Does he really think I would believe him? I mean, yes, I already forgive him because he also tried to help me escape that time but that doesn't mean I have to trust him and let him be my bodyguard just like what's happening now.

"I'm sorry but I can't believe you that easily." I said honestly as I saw him took a deep breath and walk closer to me that made me move backwards. What does he want? I was taken aback when he suddenly stops from walking closer to me before he took a deep sighed. I think he noticed that I'm moving backwards every time he moves closer to me, that's why he stops moving...

"Then I'm willing to prove myself to you, Lady Chloe… Just please don't avoid, My Lady..." I heard Isaiah said something like he was begging me. W-what?

"Just do whatever you want…" I said before I decided to turn around and walk away when I suddenly heard him speak.

"Ah, Lady Chloe… I have to tell you something." I heard Isaiah said that made me sighed before I turned to look at him again and saw him looking at me seriously.

"What?" I asked. Wait, why does he suddenly looks so serious? What's wrong? I saw him took a step closer to me but this time, I didn't move backwards...

"That guy… I heard that Shin is nowhere to be found right now… Is that true, Lady Chloe?" I heard Isaiah asked that made me arched my brows.

"So what?" I asked him back that surprised him. Why is he asking me that? He should know that because they were friends, right? I saw him regain his composure before he sighed and started to speak again.

"I know Shin… Every time he disappears suddenly, I know that he's planning something behind our backs." Isaiah said seriously that makes me nervous. Huh?

"What?" I asked. Wait, what does he mean by planning behind our backs? Did I do something wrong to do that crazy psycho?

"Sooner or later, Shin will definitely come back and I doubt Shin will definitely let us go this time." I heard Isaiah said as he continue what he was saying. Wait, what's with that 'us' means?

"What do you mean by 'us'? You're the only person who betrayed him and not me!" I said. I don't remember doing anything to him so why do I have to be included in that person's plan? When in fact, that Shinichirou Martinez is the one who did something horrible to me!

"But now that you already know...or shall I say, you and your brother already have an idea on what kind of person he is..." Isaiah said that made me stopped. T-that...

"Do you really think he will let the two of you go that easily as well?" Isaiah asked me seriously that made my heart skip a beat. T-that… T-that's right… Shinichirou Martinez might be thinking of a plan right now to make my brother and I shut our mouths.

"Remember, Lady Chloe… Shin is the only heir of a very wealthy and well known Martinez Family… If your brother can do anything just to protect you then Shin can also do anything if she wants to get you." Isaiah said that made me even more nervous. No way… T-that can't be happen… I don't want to see him anymore… I don't want to meet that Shinichirou Martinez once again! B-but how? H-how can I avoid him if my parents are the ones who want us to get married in the first place!? I'm still in a daze when I suddenly felt Isaiah hand on my shoulder and when I look at him once again, I saw him looking at me with worries in his eyes...

"I didn't mean to scare you, Lady Chloe but I'm just reminding you that I am the only person who knew Shinichirou Martinez that well…" Isaiah said while still looking at me straight in the eyes...

"So please have on trust me, Lady Chloe…" I heard Isaiah said that made me just nodded and took a deep sighed.

And that's exactly what happened a while ago when my brother left us. Actually, I am still not sure if I can really trust him or not but for now, I think I should focus on his real motives on why he suddenly wants to help me. Yes, that's right. I need to know the truth first...

"Come on, you can tell me, Alex… Wait, did you and Ethan fight once again?" Rachel suddenly asked that made me took a deep sigh as I shook my head.

"We didn't, Rachel..." I said calmly as we continue to walk beside each other. Come to think of it, I haven't seen Dylan since this morning… I wonder what keeps him so busy to the point that I can't even talked to him ever since he joined that Archery Club… Though I won't mind him being busy but I just can't stop myself from worrying about our plan to make the whole school believe that we are really in a relationship. I just sighed. But how can we even do that if he's always busy?

"Then why are you in a daze like that, Alex?" I heard Rachel asked me once again. I just sighed. She's really persistent...

"I'm just tired, Rachel…" I said that made her frown. What? She doesn't believe me? But I'm really actually feeling tired, you know...

"Tired of what, Alex?" I heard Rachel asked once again that made me took a deep sighed. Here she goes again...

"Rachel, I'm really fine… Believe me…" I said while we're still walking.

"How can I believe you if you're acting like that? You know, Alex… I know you too well… You may be serious and snobber sometimes but you are not like this… Are you really okay, Alex?" Rachel asked for the nth time that made me returned my attention to her and saw her looking at me with those worried eyes of hers… I don't know why but I suddenly felt guilty. My gosh… This girl really knows how to make me speak.

"Yes, I'm really fine… I'm just worried about my assignment because I can't find the book that I need for my research…" I told her that made her just nod. Well, that's also one of the things that actually bothers me but the main reason was really Isaiah.

"Oh, is that so? Then let's go to the National Library later to find a book similar to what you needed. Is that okay with you, Alex?" I heard Rachel suddenly suggested that that surprised me. Oh, I didn't expect her to say that.

"Of course… Thanks, Rachel…" I said as I smiled at her. Rachel is really a good friend that's why I feel so lucky to have her by my side… We are now close to the campus when my phone suddenly vibrates on my skirt's pocket that's why I get it and check who message me this time.

That's what Isaiah said that made me look up and saw someone from the rooftop holding a flower pot. Wait, is that person going to throw that to us!? I was about to yell at that person when that person suddenly let go of the flower pot and was aiming for...

"Rachel!" I said as I immediately pushed her that made her fell on the floor.

"Kyaaa!" I heard she said as we both heard the flower pot broke into pieces that made the two of us shocked.

"W-what was that?" I heard Rachel suddenly asked before she slowly stood up and walked closer to me.

"Alex! What was that? W-who did this to us?" Rachel asked in panic as I'm trying to figure out what just happened to us...

"I… I don't know either…" That's the only thing I said before Rachel looked at the flower pot on the floor once again. Who did this? Who's that person who wants to harm my best friend? I was back in my senses once again when my phone suddenly vibrates in my hand and when I take a look at it… I saw Isaiah's message once again.

Fr.: Isaiah Natividad

I'm sorry if I can't be there to save you, Lady Chloe because that person's accomplice is with me right now and he confessed that that flower pot is actually aiming at you but rest assured that I'm going to do everything I can just to protect you, Lady Chloe… I will always be here for you.

Isaiah said on his message. I-it actually aims me… But who did this? Why is he aiming for me? W-what did I do wrong to that person?

"Are you alright, Alex? Did you hurt anywhere? Do you want me to bring you at the Nurse Office?" I was brought back in my senses once again when Rachel suddenly put her hand on my shoulder.

"Rachel, I think you're the one who needs to visit the Nurse Office." I told her to divert her attention to me as I saw her look at herself first before she returned her gaze at me.

"What? I'm just fine. You don't have to worry about me…" I heard she asked that made me just sighed. She doesn't have to know that someone is after me or else, she'll get even more worried about me...

"But I wonder who actually did this to us..." Rachel asked once again while looking at the surroundings. I also wonder who that person is and why is trying to harm me...

"Have you find it already, Alex?" I heard Rachel asked once again as we're both looking for that book.

"No. How about you?" I said and asked. We are here at the National Library now as our class ended early.

"No but look at this, Alex..." I heard Rachel said that made me turned to look at her and saw her holding a book again.

"What do you think? Should I borrow this one also?" Rachel asked that made me just smiled.

"Of course. As long as you can read it and return it on it's due date." I said that made her pout. Hahaha!

"Geez. You're so strict, Alex." Rachel said before she returns the book. Well, she already has four books in her hands right now. Well, what should I expect from a book lover like Rachel...

"What? I'm just telling you my opinion…" I said that made her chuckle.

"How about---" I heard Rachel said but was stopped when the book shelf from beside us suddenly lost his balance and was about to fall down on us when we suddenly heard a very familiar voice.

"Look out!" That person said while Rachel and I hugged each other as we expected that the books from the shelves will definitely hit us but it didn't happen that's why I opened my eyes and saw this guy holding the shelves back in its place. Wait… What is he doing here?

"A-are you two okay?" I heard Isaiah asked while still leaning on the book shelves.

"Y-yes… We are okay. How about you, mister? How was your arm?" I heard Rachel asked while both of us are sitting on the floor from the shocked.

"I'm fine." Isaiah said as he finally stood properly and turned to look at me with worries in his eyes. What is he doing here?

"How about you, miss?" Isaiah suddenly asked as he averted his attention to me once again. I just nod at him while looking at his arm. Is he really alright?

"That's good to hear. You two should be careful next time, okay?" We both heard Isaiah said before he walked away and left us while holding his left arm. Wait, is he really okay?

"Are you okay, Alex?" I heard Rachel suddenly asked that made me returned my attention to her.

"Yes… How about you, Rachel?" I asked that made her just nod as I saw her looked at Isaiah once again.

"I'm fine but we're very lucky that that person saved us." I heard Rachel said as we both look at Isaiah walking away from us but I doubt he will really leave us... No, leave me. He really didn't break his promises to me… Can I really trust you, Isaiah?
