ANNE ALEXANDRIA CHLOE's POV

"Hey…" I heard Dylan said as he tapped my shoulder that made me turn to look at him. We are here at the classroom right now while having our lunch break.

"What?" I asked him that made him furrowed his brows. What? Why is he looking at me like that?

"Why? Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked him that made him even more serious. What? I'm just asking right? I was about to ask him again when Dylan suddenly speaks.

"Why you asked? It's because ever since you arrived here at school today, you haven't spoken to anyone else even to your friend and your cousin most especially with me..." I heard Dylan said that made me stopped. R-really?

"Now tell me… What the hell is wrong with you? Did something happen at the National Library?" Dylan asked once again seriously that shocked me. Why is he asking me that again?

"Why did you asked?" I asked. Actually, I didn't tell him the truth that we're almost got hit by the shelves at the library because if I did that… I know that Dylan will definitely tell this to my brother and if brother knew about this… He will definitely talk to Isaiah and he will know about our deal. Well, the deal I'm talking about is, I asked Isaiah if he can just hide his presence from everyone because I don't want my classmates especially Dylan to know that I have a bodyguard… Aside from this is my first time having one, they might find it suspicious that something's going with me right now.

"Because ever since yesterday, you and Rachel are avoiding me." I heard Dylan said that made brought me back in my senses and turn to look at him once again but this time, he looks at me with so much worries.

"What exactly had happened at the National Library yesterday, Chloe?" Dylan asked seriously while still looking at me with worries in his eyes that made me nervous. Oh no..

"I already told you that nothing happened yesterday… Even Rachel already confirmed you about that, right?" I said as I divert my attention to him. Speaking of Rachel… She didn't attend school today because her relatives from her province called her yesterday and asking her to go back there as soon as possible. I think it's an emergency because Rachel's face suddenly became pale while talking to her relatives yesterday.

"Yes, I know but I am not blind nor numb, Chloe…" Dylan suddenly said sternly that made me returned my attention to him and saw him looking at me seriously. W-what?

"I know and I can feel that both of you are hiding something from me, Chloe…" I heard Dylan said. What?

"We're not hiding anything, Dylan. Stop being so paranoid, La Flair." I said. My goodness… Just stop asking already! I just took a deep sigh as I turn to look at him again and was shocked to see him looking at me as if I did something wrong to him.

"What's with that serious look as if I did something horrible to you?" I asked him but he keeps on looking at me like that… What's with that!?

"Why is it hard for you to trust me, Chloe?" I heard Dylan suddenly said that shocked me and confused.

"H-huh?" I asked. Wait, what's that supposed to mean? I mean, where did that question come from?

"Tell me… What did I do to you for you to hate me like this, Chloe?" I heard Dylan asked that made my eyes grew wider. Is this also part of his acting as my fake boyfriend? But wait, I have a feeling that someone's looking at us or shall I say, our classmates are looking at us now!

"W-what are you talking about, Dylan?" I asked as I saw our classmate starts whispering with each other.

"I just want to know everything about you, Chloe…" I heard Dylan said that made me sighed. Okay, so he's just pretending… I'm actually glad that he's playing his role perfectly but that doesn't mean he needs to put me in a bad situation always…

"It's not that I don't want you to know what happened yesterday, Dylan… It's just that, nothing really happened." I said as I tried to convince him. I just saw him simply took a deep sighed before he nodded his head before he turned to look at the window and completely ignores me. Wait, why do I have a feeling that there's something wrong with him? I mean, he's acting weird today though he's always weird in my eyes. I just shrugged my shoulders as I stayed silent here beside him... I don't know why he suddenly acts like that but because I am not in the mood to talk about what happened yesterday… I just let him be like that until our lunch break ends and our next class started but we're still in the middle of recitation when I saw Dylan suddenly raised his hand.

"Yes, La Flair? Do you need anything?" Our teacher asked before Dylan slowly stood up. Wait a minute… Now that I got to look at his face for quite longer… Isn't he look so pale right now? Is he sick?

"May I excuse myself if I can go to the infirmary, sir? Because I wasn't feeling well, sir..." We heard Dylan said that made me stopped. He is really sick! So that's the reason why he suddenly stops annoying me a while ago…

"Is that so? Sure. You're excused, La Flair." Our teacher said before he nodded and his head. I was about to talk to him when he suddenly passed by me without even looking at me. Wait, did he just ignore me? Or I was just being exaggerated just now?

"Dearest cousin…" I heard Nathan suddenly called me while my attention is still on Dylan as he excused himself to the teacher again before he finally left the room.

"What?" I asked. I don't think he's okay...but why didn't I noticed that he's not feeling well a while ago?

"Ethan just ignored you, right?" My crazy cousin suddenly said that made furrowed my brow as I turn to look at him. What?

"That's what you get if you hide something to your boyfriend. Ouch… Why did you suddenly pinch me, Chloe?" Nathan said in a low voice while glaring at me and holding his arm where I pinch him. This crazy guy…

"How dare you say that… I didn't even lie to him." I said in a low voice while he's still glaring at me.

"Are you sure about that, Alexandria?" Nathan suddenly said that made me sighed. Here we go again ~ He's calling me that again so that means he's really serious right now. I just sighed as I look at the board once again.

"Alexandria… Are you sure that nothing really happen?" My crazy cousin asked that made me just sighed. So I was right… Nathan was listening to our conversation just now. I couldn't help myself but sighed while my eyes are still focus on the lesson but obviously, I'm already distracted right now.

"You know me, Nathan… There are things that I can't tell anyone even if how close they are to me..." I said seriously while my eyes are still focused on the lesson. To be honest, I also don't understand myself why I'm like this…

"So something really do happen..." I heard Nathan said that made me sighed. And there I finally said it.

"Why didn't you tell him that? Don't you trust him? I thought you love him?" I heard Nathan asked continuously that made me just sighed again. He asked too many questions...

"Firstly, I didn't tell him because what happened yesterday is nothing important. Second, it's not that I don't trust him… It's just that there's nothing he needs to know because nothing happened yesterday." I answered him that made him turn to look at me as furrowed his brows. What? Still not satisfied, Nathaniel Santillan?

"Stop looking at me like that. Our teacher might have noticed that we're not listening to him…" I told him but he still keep on looking at me as if I hadn't warned him. What's wrong with him!?

"You still haven't answered one of my questions, Chloe…" I heard Nathan suddenly asked seriously that made me turn to look at him again.

"What?" I asked as I furrowed my brow. And what was that question?

"I thought you love him?" He said as he repeated his question a while ago. Oh geez… Right, that was Nathan's question a while ago.

"Do you love Ethan, Chloe?" I heard Nathan asked once again that made my heart skip a beat. W-what? Of course not! I don't have any romantic feelings towards him! There's only one person in my heart and that's Christian!

"Of course…" I said before I returned my attention in front. Of course, I couldn't say those things to him even if I wanted to...

"Of course, I do love Dylan…" I said even though I don't want to say it, I need to because we have to make everyone around us believe us… Even though it was just a lie…

"If you love someone, you have to trust them, Chloe…" Nathan said once again that made me sigh and returned my attention to him.

"But Nathan, you know that I'm already like this ever since we were kids, right? So don't force me to do something I can't actually do…" I said as I tried not to sound annoyed but I can't help it. I really don't understand why he's being persistent again.

"I thought you already get over with it but looking at you now..." Nathan suddenly said that made me stopped and confused. What?

"Obviously, you still can't get over it even though it's been so many years had passed since that happens…" Nathan said seriously but calmly while still looking at me straight in the eyes. What was that supposed to mean?

"What are you talking about?" I asked him. Why do I feel like he wants to tell me something...I didn't know? But what's that? Are they hiding something from me?

"Nathan…" I called him once again when he didn't answer me. Come on, Nathan! Tell me already before the teacher really noticed that we're not listening to him! I saw him just sighed before he finally look at the teacher who's still discussing something in front.

"Just like what you have said earlier, Chloe… There are things that you can't tell anyone even if how close they are to me and because we are cousins..." I heard Nathan said before he took a glimpse at me as he showed me his smile. What's with that smile?

"Unfortunately, I'm also like that…" I heard Nathan said while still smiling at me… Wait, let me rephrase that because he is now smirking at me that made me annoyed. Wait, he is looking at me as if...he's just making fun of me!?

"You're just annoying me… Am I right, Nathaniel Santillan?" I asked him as my voice suddenly became serious and was right! He's really making fun of me because he couldn't stop himself from laughing though he tried his best not to make it louder. Geez! So, I was right!

"Of course. I'm your dearest cousin, remember?" I heard Nathan said while he's trying his very best not to laugh or else, we will be discovered by our teacher. This guy!

"You're crazy. You almost make me believe that." I told him that made me roll my eyes on him before I returned my attention to our teacher again. My gosh. He made me worried about something like that!

"Chloe…" I heard Nathan called me once again but I didn't turn to look at him this time because I'm really annoyed by what he did just now.

"What?" I asked him while still looking at the board. My goodness… I think I need to ask someone to teach me how to solve that formulas later...

"No matter what happens, we, your family will always be here for you." Nathan suddenly said seriously that made me returned my attention to him again. Huh?

"What's with that sudden seriousness, Nathan? Stop it. It's not like Dylan and I were going to break up." I said as I tried to lighten up the mood because Nathan… Nathan looks so serious but at the same time...he's looking at me as if he wants to tell me something or he's just making fun of me once again?

"You're right. I shouldn't get worried myself with those things because you are the famous heiress of the Ramirez Family..." Nathan said as he winks at me that made me just shook my head and return my attention in front.

"Oh, shut up." I said as I could no longer suppress my smile. See that? This guy doesn't really have seriousness in his body. Anyways, I wonder how's Dylan right now? I hope he's just fine. Maybe, I'll just visit him at the infirmary after this class ends...
