DYLAN ETHANIEL's POV

"Dylan…" I just drink my medicine when I suddenly heard Chloe's voice calling me that made me turn to look at her once again and saw her looking at me nervously. Hmmm…? What happened to her?

"What? What's wrong with you?" I asked as I leaned my back on the couch. We are here in the living room right now while waiting for my siblings to finish the cooking. Actually, they are the ones who insisted on doing what we have left. Well, maybe because they saw that we have a visitor and that's the reason why we're alone here in the living room.

"I'm so nervous, Dylan…" I heard Chloe said as I saw her took a deep breath. Honestly, I also didn't expect that those two will arrive earlier than I expected because they told me this morning that they will be having a group study in their classmate's house after their class. Anyways, I'm glad that they're both here now. I couldn't help myself but smile. Actually, Diane and Darryl arrived at the right moment because I could be able to see this rare side of her. Hmmm...? I wonder why I find her so cute every time she looks so nervous just like now?

"Hey! Are you listening to me?" I heard Chloe suddenly said that brought me back in my senses. Oh, that's right…

"Of course, I am but why are you so nervous anyway?" I asked as if I didn't know what she's talking about that made her furrowed her brows while still looking at me. Pffft! Hahaha! Look at her… She looks so annoyed right now. Hahaha!

"Are you crazy? Your siblings wants to talk to me! What should I say? I don't even know what should I say if they start to ask things like when or where did we first met? Or when is our anniversary or something…" I heard Chloe said and asked as she starts to panic. I just sighed. Okay, I think I should stop teasing her already. I just took a deep breath before I stood up and sat beside her that made her attention returned to me.

"Don't worry too much about that…" I simply said that made her arched her brow.

"Are you serious? Of course, I will definitely---wait… Don't tell me, you already told them the truth?" I heard Chloe said while looking at me in shock that made me shake my head immediately.

"Of course not! Why would I do that? Do you think I'm that crazy to tell them about that?" I said seriously that made her stopped before I saw sighed for the nth time as she nodded her head and leaned her back on the couch.

"Then why are you acting like this is something that I shouldn't be worried about?" Chloe asked before looking back at me. Oh, well...

"Because I'm just here by your side so you don't have to worry too much…" I said that made her stopped and looked at me in disbelief.

"What do you mean?" I heard Chloe suddenly asked that made me just sighed.

"If they start to ask you things about our relationship, you only have to say that you're the one who fell in love with me first." I said seriously at her but I'm just actually making fun of her that made her glared at me. Pffft! Hahaha! Her face is so hilarious! Hahaha!

"Are you serious?" Chloe asked while giving me a death glare. Relax, Dylan… Don't smile or even laugh… Just hold it in, Dylan… Hold it in...

"What do you think?" I asked that made her eyes grew wider that almost made me laugh.

"You're insane, Dylan!" She shouted at me that made me burst out laughing.

"Just kidding. Hahaha!" I said between my laughs. Oh geez. This is so hilarious.

"Can't you be more serious even just for now, Dylan?" I heard Chloe said as she rolled her eyes on me and crossed her arms on her c.h.e.s.t. Ehem… So, she's now mad? Or shall I say, embarrassed? Hahaha!

"Okay, I'll stop… I'm sorry, okay?" I told her that made her glared at me once again. Okay, back to serious mode, Dylan… I took a deep breath to calm myself before I start to speak.

"What I'm trying to say is, just stop worrying too much because as much as possible I will be the one to answer those questions for you. The only thing you have to do is to listen carefully so that if other people ask you about our relationship next time… You already know what the answer." I told her as I finally calmed myself. Come to think of it, I haven't laughed like this for quite a long time.

"Then why don't you just tell me right now?" I heard Chloe suddenly asked that made me furrowed my brows. Seriously?

"If I did that and they suddenly came and hear it what we are talking about then what do you think will they think? What kind of reason should we give them if they know about it, Chloe?" I said as I slowly gets closer that made her eyes grew wider.

"O-okay fine. I-i get it j-just stay away from me..." I heard Chloe said while gently pushing me away that made me smile. Oh, did she just startled? Hahaha! I just leaned my back on the couch once again while still looking and smiling at her.

"By the way… What if they suddenly ask us about our anniversary when you were not around? I'm afraid that we'll answer them differently..." Chloe suddenly said seriously while sitting beside me and continue what she was doing a while ago and that's to look around the house. Hmmm…? I wonder why she's been looking around the house since she arrived here.

"Then just tell them that it's on my birthday." I said simply while still looking at her.

"When was your birthday anyway?" I heard she asked while still busy looking around. Honestly, ever since we first met… This is the first time I have seen her up close like this because everytime we are at school, I'm just looking at her thinking that I need to do that in order to make them all believe that I am her boyfriend who had left her a few years ago but right now… Just right now… I'm looking at her without thinking of anything...

"On 28th of October." I said while still looking at her. Come to think of it, Xander's right… His sister is also beautiful and I can't argue with that...

"October 28th..." I heard Chloe said that made me just nod as I closed my eyes while still leaning my back on the couch.

"Wait… Correct if I'm wrong but isn't it also the day you saved me?" I heard Chloe asked that made opened my eyes and turned to look at her as I saw her looking at me with those beautiful hazel eyes of hers.

"Yes, you're right…" I said while she's still looking at me in surprise. Look at that face. Isn't she cute? Hahaha! I saw her that she was about to speak when my little sister suddenly came in.

"Brother!" Diane suddenly said that made Chloe and I turned to look at her and saw her smiling playfully at us. Huh? What's with that smile?

"Yes, Diane?" I asked as I suddenly distance myself to her. Geez. So that's the reason why she's smiling at us like that?

"We'll be finish in a while, brother." Diane said while still smiling at us. I just nod at her as I also smiled at her.

"Sure. Just take your time…" I said before I saw her nod her head and left us. I just took a deep sigh as I leaned my back on the couch. Seriously… How can I become so careless in front of my siblings?

"Dylan..." I heard Chloe suddenly called me that brought me back in my senses.

"Hmmm…?" I asked her as I turned to look at her once again. Hmmm…? She doesn't look so worried, nervous or scared just like a while ago… Maybe she finally calm down.

"Happy Birthday…" Chloe suddenly said as she smiled at me that left me off guard.

"Thank you, Chloe…" I said as I smiled at her also. At first, I really thought that Chloe is someone who is spoiled brat because she was born in a very wealthy and well known family and in addition to that, she has a brother like Xander who's willing to spoiled her big time but I was wrong… She may be an annoying rich girl sometimes but I can feel that she's a great person who are loved and treasured by her family and friends...or shall I say, friend? Now that I think about it, why does she only have Rachel as her friend?

"Can I ask you something?" Both of us suddenly asked that in unison that made us stopped as we both chuckled.

"Go ahead. As long as I can answer it..." I said as I suppress my laughter. I'm actually feeling quite better now though my head still feels so light and my whole body still feels so hot but for some reason, talking to her right now makes me forget that I am actually sick right now...

"Don't you have any maids or butler here?" Chloe suddenly asked that brought me back in my senses. Oh that...

"We actually have but they are all on vacation." I simply said. Yes, that's right. They are all on a vacation because I permitted them and I honestly think that they actually deserved it.

"What? As in, all of them?" Chloe suddenly asked in disbelief.

"Yes…" I said. Why? What's so shocking about that?

"Why? How many are they anyway?" Chloe asked once again. Oh, now I get it… Chloe came from a rich family that's why she's not used to not see any maids or butlers around especially if your house is just as big as this...

"We have two maids and a butler." I told her that made her eyes grew even wider in shocked.

"That's all? Are you serious?" Chloe asked once again in disbelief that made me smile and slowly nod my head.

"Yes. Have you also forgotten that these days, the 'La Flair Conglomerates' is on the brink of bankruptcy?" I told her that while still smiling at her that made her stopped as if she just realized what I wanted to tell her but honestly, even though we regain our status and reputation back, we still preferred to be like this because our parents raised us to be independent.

"Oh, that's right… I'm sorry." I heard Chloe said that made me shook my head as I smiled at her once again.

"No, it's fine. So it's my turn already?" I said and asked her that made her returned my attention to me before I saw her nodded her head.

"Sure. What is it?" I heard Chloe said as she gives me permission to ask her.

"Why do you only have Rachel as your friend?" I asked her directly that made her looked at me in confusion.

"Why? What's wrong with that? Does Rachel doesn't deserve to be my friend?" Chloe asked continuously and seriously that made me shook my head immediately.

"Of course not. That's not what I mean... What I just wanted to ask you is, why do you only have her as your friend? Don't you want to make more friends other than her? Are you not friendly?" I asked her that made her silent for quite sometime before she took a deep sigh and turned to look at me straight in the eyes.

"It's not that I'm not friendly but it's better to have a few friends that you can give your full trust than to have many friends who can soon will betray you or gossip you behind your back." I heard Chloe said so seriously that made me stopped while still looking at her because something suddenly crossed my mind. First is, Chloe's attitude is very unpredictable and she also doesn't want to interact with other people other than those people who are close to her like her own family, relatives and her only friend… She is also a very secretive person and she also rarely open up her feelings to other people… Could it be that, Chloe was betrayed by someone she trusted the most before? I am now currently in deep thoughts when we suddenly heard my siblings voices.

"Brother, dinner's ready!" Diane and Darryl said in unison that made us turned to look at them and saw them looking at us while smiling so widely. How long have they've been there?

"Let's go! The food is so delicious and it will taste even more delicious if it's hot." Diane suddenly said before she pulled her brother towards the dining room and left.

"Let's go?" I said and asked Chloe as I turned to look at her and saw her smiling while still looking at the place where my siblings are standing a while ago.

"Okay." I heard Chloe said before she turns to look at me as I nodded at her before we both stood up and walked towards the dining room with her.
