ANNE ALEXANDRIA CHLOE's POV

"Will you please stop doing this already? We're no longer at school anymore, Chloe…" I heard Dylan told me but I didn't listen to him as I wear an apron and opens the refrigerator. Hmmm…? Where are the ingredients that I will be needing for the porridge? Oh, there it is.

"Chloe, stop it already." I was about to get those ingredients when Dylan suddenly pulled me gently towards him and closed the door of the refrigerator as he looks at me with those weak eyes. He's really not feeling well… Don't they have any maids here?

"You don't have to do this, okay? So please just leave. My siblings will be here soon." I heard him said once again that made me just sighed as I shook my head.

"What are you saying? It's part of our contract, remember?" I told him that made him stopped as he looks at me in confusion.

"What do you mean?" I heard Dylan asked that made me just sighed.

"Mister Dylan La Flair, I am Chloe Ramirez. I'm a woman of my word. You wrote that rule then I will definitely follow it." I told him as I gently shove his hands holding my arm as I opened the refrigerator again and get all the ingredients that I will be needing for a porridge and bring it on the table.

"But we're still not married yet and going to house of man alone is not appropriate, Chloe…"

"First things first, Dylan… We're not going to marry legally and secondly, I'm going to do this anyway so might as well practice it now, right?" I said that made him shrugged his shoulders. Well… To be honest, aside from I'm also worried about him… There's another reason why I am doing this for him and that's to avoid Nathan's suspicions to our relationship. I couldn't help myself but sighed once again as I remembered how Nathan told me about his thoughts about Dylan and I's relationship a while ago...

"And that was the regional ruler of Japan's Azuchi-Momoyama period through early Edo period, Date Masamune." I said as I finally ended my report. My teacher asked me a few questions about it in front of the class before he finally lets me go and as I finally return to my seat… I immediately got my phone in my skirt's pocket secretly to check if I have unread messages but I don't have… I just took a deep sighed before I locked my phone and put it inside my skirt's pocket again before I returned my attention to our teacher who's now discussing about my report just now. We're having our World History Class right now and to be honest, my plan on visiting Dylan at the infirmary a while ago was postponed because I suddenly remembered that I will be having a report on our World History Class which is right after our subject a while ago that's why I couldn't go but for some reason, I can't fully focused my mind in the class right now because ever since Dylan excused himself a while ago… He has never been back. I just took a deep sighed once again. This is totally not me…

"My dearest cousin..." I suddenly heard Nathan said that made me turn to look at him and saw him smiling playfully at me. Huh? What's with that creepy smile, Nathaniel? I was about to ask him when he started speaking first.

"So you still have concern with him, Chloe?" I heard Nathan suddenly asked that made me confused and shocked. What was that supposed to mean?

"What kind of question was that, Nathan? Of course, I am." I said and asked that made him shook his head before he returned his attention on the board. Wait, why do I have a bad feeling about this?

"Well, to be honest with you, Chloe..." I heard Nathan said while still looking in front as his voice suddenly becomes serious. What?

"I'm starting to doubt your relationship with him…" Nathan suddenly said before turning to look at me once again. W-what did he just said?

"W-what? What made you think that?" I asked as I tried to calm myself. Is Nathan really doubting our relationship?

"Because I can't see the love and concern between the two of you especially with you, Chloe… As if it's like, all of these are just an act..." Nathan said seriously that made me gulped while my heart is still beating so fast right now. N-no way… He can't doubt us… Not you, Nathan...

"Y-you think so, Nathan?" I asked that made him just nod. No way…

"Yes, that's my honest thoughts about you and Ethan, Chloe…" I heard Nathan said seriously while still looking at me straight in the eyes. What should I do? I can't let this happen… Of all people, I can't let Nathan doubt us because he's very close to my dad and if he did doubt us then Nathan might probably tell this to my dad and all our efforts will all go to waste...

"But looking at your right now…" Nathan suddenly said that made me returned my attention to him and saw him looking at me with those sapphire blue eyes.

"I think I just made a mistake because the Chloe Ramirez that I know is someone who will only be bothered with someone who's very important to her so that means, Ethan is really important to you." I heard Nathan said while still looking at me before he smiled at me. Really?

"Do you really think so, Nathan?" I asked him as I saw him simply nodded at me.

"Yes but I realized just now that not all couples are that showy when it comes to their feelings to their lovers just like your mom and dad, right? So maybe I just really misunderstand you both and for that, I'm sorry for judging you, Chloe..." I heard Nathan said as he winked at me while still smiling at me. I just nodded at him before I returned my attention on our teacher. Oh my gosh… My heart is beating so hard right now...

And that was what happened a while ago. I don't know why but as soon as our last class ended which is our World History Class… I immediately get out of the room to avoid my crazy cousin who's very observant.

"So you're saying that this will be your first time cooking porridge? As in, in your whole life?" I heard Dylan asked as he sat on the stool here inside the kitchen. I just nod at him as I pour the rice on the porridge and wash it.

"Yes." I said as I start to wash the rice. I'm doing the right thing, right? My attention was diverted to him again when he suddenly stayed silent which is very rare but I was stopped when I suddenly saw him...

"Hey… What's with that shocked looked?" I asked him as I saw him looking at me in shock. What's with that!? I saw him just gulped before he slowly stood up and walked closer to me.

"Are you really sure you want to do this? After all, I still can move my body. I can actually cook it for myself." I heard Dylan said but I stopped him.

"No." I said that made him shocked.

"You made this rule so I need to follow it, right?" I told him while he's still looking at me in disbelief.

"B-but---" Dylan said but was interrupted when I suddenly speaks.

"No buts, Dylan. Anyways, just sit back and relax." I told him seriously. I saw him sighed while nodding his head at me before he walks and sat on the stool again.

"Oh and by the way, you know how to cook porridge, right? So what's the first step?" I asked him after I finally finished washing the rice and when I look at him once again…

"Are you serious?" I heard Dylan asked me in disbelief but why does his face suddenly looks so scared? This guy is really underestimating me! I'm going to show you that you can never underestimate Chloe Ramirez...

DYLAN ETHANIEL's POV

"I'm really sorry, Dylan…" I heard Chloe said as she apologized to me once again. I just took a deep sighed while stirring the porridge right now while she's sitting on the stool where I am sitting a while ago. Do you wanna know what she did just now? She almost burnt our kitchen for goodness sake. Geez. My head feels so light right now…

"Dylan, I think I can do it now…" I heard Chloe said as she stood up and walked closer to me.

"No. You might burn our whole kitchen this time so please just sit there and do nothing..." I said as I tried to control my patience because I'm starting to feel tired now. I think I overworked myself too much.

"B-but I already told you that this is my first time, Dylan! It's not like really want to burn your house..." I heard Chloe said while standing beside me. I just sighed. This girl...

"I know that but if you continue doing this---" I said as I tried to explain to her but I was suddenly interrupted when Chloe suddenly speaks.

"Fine." I heard Chloe said disappointedly that made me stopped. What?

"If you don't need my help then I shall take my leave. Good bye, Dylan..." I heard Chloe suddenly said before she walks out of the kitchen. Oh geez. This girl really likes to walk out every time something like this happens. I immediately turn off the stove and followed her to the living room.

"N-no… That's not what I mean… Wait!" I said as I'm getting close to her and saw her suddenly get her bag on the couch as she continues to walk towards the door.

"Chloe, wait… I said wait, Chloe!" I said to the point that I'm almost yelling at her that made her stop as she turned to look at me with a sad face.

"I'm sorry for bothering you. I'm leaving. See you at school---" Chloe said while looking at me but she was suddenly interrupted when our entrance door suddenly opens and there I saw my younger brother and sister.

"Brother, we're home!" I heard they said in unison as their eyes suddenly diverted to Chloe who's now standing close to the door.

"Huh?" I heard Diane and Darryl said while still looking at her.

"Who are you?" Diane and Darryl asked Chloe who's simply standing in front of them. I just took a deep sighed. So, this is it...

"Brother! WHO IS SHE!? WHAT IS SHE DOING HERE!?" I heard my younger sister asked me while pointing out Chloe.

"WHY ARE YOU TWO TOGETHER ALONE!?" Darryl asked while staring at me and Chloe. Seriously… Why do they have to act like my parents?

"Both of you… Please calm down and let me explain, okay?" I said as I start to walk closer to them and stand beside Chloe who's simply looking at my siblings with a blank expression. What's on your mind, Chloe?

"But brother---" I heard Diane said but was interrupted when Chloe finally speaks.

"Are they your siblings, Dylan?" Chloe asked that made Diane and Darryl shocked. Maybe because Chloe calls me Dylan and not Ethan...

"Yes… These are my siblings… This is Diane and this is Darryl." I said as I introduced them to Chloe. I don't know what's exactly on Chloe's mind right now because she stayed silent for a while before we saw her took a deep breath before she started to speak.

"Is that so… Hello, good evening..." Chloe said as she smiles at them. Huh? What's with that lady like voice, Chloe? That's totally not you...

"I am Chloe Ramirez and I am your older brother's fiance." Chloe said as she introduced herself so gracefully. Hmmm…? I must say that Chloe's doing her job so well. I wonder what made her change like that? I mean, she's been so distant with me especially when we're school but now, she's really like my real fiance who just got introduced with my siblings.

"I'm so glad to have finally meet the two of you…" Chloe said while still smiling at them and for some reason, I also smiled as well.

"W-what's wrong? D-don't you like me for your older brother, Diane and Darryl?" Chloe asked politely that made these two immediately shook their heads.

"N-no! T-that's not it!" Darryl said as he startled. Huh? That's rare...

"Wait, did you just startled, Darryl?" I heard Diane said that made Darryl's eyes grew wider. Pffft. Hahaha! These two...

"Of course not!" Darryl said while his cheeks start to turn red. Hmmm…? Is this punk having a crush on his brother's fake fiance? Hahaha!

"Yes, you just did! Oh my gosh! Don't tell me you like her? She is our brother's fiance!" Diane said that almost made me laughed. My goodness. These two are really crazy...

"Of course, I know that! Stop concluding things, Diane!" Darryl said before he walked passed by us as I saw Diane greeted Chloe once again.

"We'll get change first. Wait for us, okay?" Diane said while smiling at her. I saw Chloe just nod her head while still smiling at Diane before Diane followed his brother upstairs...

"How cute…" Chloe suddenly said that made surprised me.

"What?" I asked. Wait, what was that mean? I saw her turned to look at me while still smiling.

"Your siblings are cute… Don't you agree with me, Dylan?" Chloe said as she smiled genuinely at me.

"Of course and they are also my everything…" I told her before I turned to look at the stairs again. And that's also the reason why I am doing this…I don't want them to experience hardsh.i.p.s just like what I'm facing right now, that's why I am doing this to save our company and also to give them a better life…
