"Best friend!?" I asked while still looking at them in shock. Are they serious!? I saw my brother simply just nod at me as he stands beside Ethan.

"Yes, that's right." I heard my brother said. What? But I have already met my brother's friends before and I am sure that I didn't met or even saw Ethan attended any parties or my brother's wedding before…

"But brother, I haven't---" I said but was interrupted when my brother suddenly starts walking closer to me with a very serious face.

"Hey, what happened to your face? Why is your cheeks bleeding, Chloe?" My brother suddenly asked seriously that made me stopped. Oh no…

"A-ah, this? I-it's nothing, brother. B-believe me…" I said as I tried not to startled but I still need!

"Do you really think I'll believe you, Alexandria?" My brother said that made me even more nervous.

"B-brother… Please let me explain." I said while looking at my brother's serious face. Oh no… He's now calling me 'Alexandria' so that only means… He's starting to get mad already.

"No. I don't want to hear your explanation." My brother said sternly. W-what?

"B-but brother---" I was once interrupted when my brother suddenly faced Ethan.

"Dylan, what exactly happened before I came here?" My brother suddenly asked him that made Ethan anxious.

"Ah that…" Ethan said as he scratches the back of his head as he avoids my brother's eyes.

"Dylan, what happened to my sister? What happened to her?" My brother asked once again as I saw Ethan took a short glance at me before he returned his attention to my brother. No, Ethan… Don't tell him yet… Let me tell my brother personally. I really really wanted to tell him that but unfortunately, I can't or else, it might have triggered my brother's anger even more.

"Well, I can tell you everything that I knew but can we just at least leave first? And we also need to bring this injured person at the hospital before he dies." Ethan said as if he heard what I've wanted to tell him right now. Ethan…

"Oh, that's right. Is he still alive?" I heard my brother asked him. W-what kind of question was that?

"Of course, Xander." Ethan said before my brother nods at him and carry the guy who kidnapped me a while go to his car. I was about to get inside the car when brother suddenly called me.

"Why are you sitting at the back? We're still not done talking, right?" My brother sternly said that gives me shiver. Oh no… I really don't want to sit in the passenger seat because brother is scary right now but I also don't have any choice! That's why I sat in the passenger seat while Ethan and that guy sat at the back. As the car started to move, my brother also started to interrogate us.

"So what happened, Dylan?" I heard my brother asked him. Oh no… My heart is beating so fast right now… Like my heart is going to burst out inside my c.h.e.s.t. I suddenly saw Dylan suddenly looked at me at the rear view mirror with a poker face. W-what is he thinking?

"I think it's better if you ask your sister instead, Xander." Ethan said before he diverted his attention at the window.

"No. I want to hear everything from you." I heard my brother said. Wait a minute… Why does it sound like he doesn't trust me?

"Brother, won't you trust me?" I asked and saw him took a short glance at me before he returns his attention to the road.

"In times like this, I can't just easily trust you." He said that made me frowned. What?

"What was that supposed to mean?" I asked and saw him seriously looking at the road.

"Because I'm sure that you're going to lie to me." He said sternly. What!?

"Of course not!" I said. I can't believe that my own brother actually thinks about me like that. How could he...

"Then I'll hear you out but I want to hear Dylan first." I heard my brother said as I turned to look outside the window and ignores him. My brother is really annoying!

"So what happened, Dylan?" I heard he asked him again while I just continue to listen without looking at them.

"Well… First is you have to calm down and promise me you won't kill someone after you hear it." I heard Ethan said that made me looked at the rearview and saw him seriously looking at my brother. I-is he really going to tell him?

"The way you speak right now makes me think that I might really do that later when I finally heard what you will going to tell me now." My brother said that made me even more nervous. Oh no… My brother looks so scary right now! I just gulped as I continued to stay silent here. Oh no… What to do?

"Don't do that. You're the heir of your family, remember?" I heard Ethan said. Yeah, that's right, brother… You are the only son and heir of our father so you must not do that! You must never do that!

"Then tell me everything now. It's making me freaking nervous so what exactly happened?" My brother asked once again before he took a short glance at me as he continues to drive.

"I was just walking to relieve stress from work and school when I suddenly heard a scream from that abandoned building and because of my curiosity, I went inside and coincidentally, I saw your sister being chased by two men." Ethan slowly and calmly said while still looking at my brother...or shall I say, he's observing my brother's reaction?

"W-what?" I heard my brother said as he suddenly pushed down the brake pedal that made gives us shocked as I saw him gripped the steering wheel tightly. My goodness! Good thing we're all wearing a seatbelt!

"Wait, Xander! But before they even do something to her, I immediately saved her so calm down already, okay?" I heard Ethan said as he tried to calm my scary brother right now. I just took a deep breath when my brother suddenly turned to look at me with those scary eyes...just like our dad's eyes.

"Where are those two bastards right now?" He asked Ethan while looking at me with those scary eyes.

"I have already reported them to the police before we left the building just now so there's nothing to worry about that." Ethan said that made my brother turned to look at him that made me sighed in relief. It's making me tremble every time my brother gets so mad like this...

"Why haven't you told me about this earlier, Dylan!?" My brother shouted at Ethan that made Ethan startled.

"H-huh? Isn't it obvious? It's because I know that you're going to kill those two when you finally heard about this so as your friend, I have decided to save you from being imprisoned." Ethan said seriously at him. To be honest, if we're not having a serious conversation right now… I might be laughing already because of how they talked to each other… You can really see how close they are with each other...

"You…" My brother said as he glares at him.

"But we can visit them in jail anytime so you don't have to glare at me as if you're going to kill me, Xander." Ethan said that made my brother took a deep breath before he returned his attention to me.

"And you…" He said seriously that give me shivers once again.

"Y-yes, brother?" I asked but to be honest… I'm starting to get so scared to him...

"How did you get there? What happened before Dylan appears to saved you?" My brother asked seriously that made me gulped. W-what should I say?

"T-that…" I said… S-should I tell him the truth?

"S-someone kidnaps me while I was walking along the streets…" And there, I finally said it. I saw my brother suddenly gripped the steering wheel once again while still looking at me seriously.

"W-why a-are y-you l-looking a-at m-me l-like t-that?" I asked as I tried to calm myself down but I couldn't! Because I can really sense brother's anger right now!

"Who's that person who kidnaps you?" I heard my brother asked that made me stopped. Oh no… What should I do? I… I can't just tell him that the person who kidnaps me was the one sitting beside his best friend at the back…

"B-brother… I---" I said as I started trembling when I suddenly heard Ethan's voice.

"Charles Alexander…" Ethan said that made us looked at him.

"Can't you see that you're sister is having a hard time explaining to you because she's not ready yet to tell you everything? Didn't you know that what happened to her a while ago might be too traumatic for her?" Ethan said seriously that made my brother stops before he turns to look at me again but this time...

"I-i'm sorry, Chloe… I didn't mean to ask those things to you so suddenly. Forgive me." He said that while looking at me gently and with so much worry in his face.

"I-it's alright, brother… I understand…" I said as I avoided his gaze because if I didn't then I might ended up crying in front of them right now… We are now finally home and while we are at the hospital a while ago because we brought the guy who kidnaps me first there to get treated, my brother suddenly invited Ethan to come in our house, even for a short while to have some talk so he's now here at the receiving room with us.

"Do you want anything, Dylan?" My brother asked as we all sat on the couches here.

"Anything is fine, Xander." Ethan said as he sat across my brother.

"Is that so? Will you please give us some tea? Thank you." My brother said to our maid before she bows her head and went out of the room, leaving the three of us here.

"So what are you going to tell me this late at night, Xander?" Ethan asked my brother. I just took a deep breath because I don't know why I should also stay here… I honestly don't understand why my brother wants me to stay here with them.

"I can guess that it's something important, right?" Ethan asked again that made brother just nod.

"Dylan… You know that you are one of my trusted best friends, right? And you know that I've treated all of you just like my real brothers, right?" Brother suddenly said out of nowhere. Huh? My attention was suddenly diverted to Ethan and saw him looked at him in confusion.

"I know but the way you speak to me right now makes me nervous… What exactly do you want to tell me, Xander?" Ethan asked seriously as I saw my brother took a deep breath first before he turned to look at me and return his attention to Ethan. Wait… What's with that suddenly look, brother?

"Dylan, thank you for saving my sister." My brother said politely that made Ethan and I surprised. So that's what my brother wants to tell him all this time?

"I actually don't know how to repay you for what you have done to my sister because what you did something that can't be repaid with any thing but let me offer you something in return, Dylan…" My brother suddenly said that made Ethan and I suddenly looked at each other.

"You're being too serious, Xander… Just get straight to the point." Ethan said seriously as he returned his attention to my brother again. Wait, a minute… I'm having a bad feeling about this...

"Please marry my sister, Dylan..." My brother said seriously. Huh?

"What!?" Ethan and I said in unison. Are you serious, brother!?
