"Marriage!? Are you serious, brother!?" I asked while still looking at my brother. He's also bowing his head to Ethan right now and that only means he's serious about this… But what!? Marry him!? No way!

"Yes, t-that's right… Are you serious about this, Xander?" I heard Ethan asked while still looking at my brother in disbelief. Of course! Who wouldn't be surprised about that!?

"Am I the type of person to joke around like this?" My brother asked seriously that made me and Ethan turned to look at each other. No way… I was about to speak when someone knocked on the door. My brother stood up to open it and we saw our maid enters.

"You can leave it there. Thank you." Brother said politely before the maid left and that's the time when I finally speak.

"No way, brother! Why do I have to marry him!? Are you crazy!?" I asked that made the two of looked at me.

"Wait a minute… I understand that you're shocked as well but why does it sounds like you hated the idea of marrying me that much?" I heard Ethan said that made me glare at him. Of course! Because he is not Christian!

"Chloe… Dylan… Please stop." My brother said once again and as we both turned to look at him. We saw him massaging his temple head.

"But brother---" I said but was interrupted when my brother suddenly looked at me.

"Chloe, I'm doing this for your sake." My brother said. What? For my sake?

"How come it's for my sake? Brother, you want me to marry this person that I just met!" I said as I pointed at Ethan. How could you do this to me, brother?

"What's the difference of marrying someone that I just met and someone that I have never met yet?" I asked while my brother is still looking at me. I can't read what's on his mind right now...

"They're just the same, brother… They're just the same!" I said but was startled my brother suddenly yelled.

"You don't understand, Chloe!" My brother said so sternly that gives shivers on my body.

"I'm doing this because of you! I'm here to help you because I don't want you to become like me…" My brother said as he slowly lower down his head.

"I don't want you to marry someone you don't even love…" He said that made me took a deep breath as I tried to stop my tears from falling. Right now… Seeing my brother like this… I can feel the pain that he's feeling right now…

"More than anyone else in this world, Chloe… I want you to be happy… I want you to at least be happy with the person you truly love…" My brother said as I saw him raised his head up and looked at me straight in the eyes. Be happy with the person I love?

"But I don't love Ethan so why do I have to marry him?" I asked with a calm voice.

"I'm willing to do everything I can even deceiving our own parents just to help and protect you, Chloe…" My brother said so seriously while still looking at me straight in the eyes. Brother… I-is he really going to do that? For me? I was about to speak once again when brother suddenly speaks.

"Only if you really want to marry Ian…" Brother said before he leaned his back on the couch. What did he just said?

"How did you know about us?" I asked. How? I didn't tell anyone about our relationship so how can brother knew about that? I saw him took a deep breath before he crossed his legs.

"Because I am your brother, Chloe." He said seriously as if he's telling me that nothing is impossible for him. I just took a deep sighed. Yes, that's right… I forgot that sometimes he's becoming so overprotective towards me.

"But don't you think this is also unfair for me, Xander? I just met your sister and you're asking me to marry her?" Ethan suddenly said that made me returned my attention to him. That's right… This set-up is also unfair for him and I can't blame him for not agreeing with my brother's idea.

"What? You can't do that, right? Because he's always busy with his work! You're not even his priority, Chloe!" My brother said angrily that made me lower down my head as my tears started to flow down my eyes. I can no longer hold it anymore…

"Would you still choose to reject my offer even if 'Ramilan Empire' can get your company back on its track?" I heard my brother said. Wait… How did it happen? I mean, Ethan looks so young to become the owner of that big company… Wait… I don't understand… Is that really true? My thoughts were interrupted when brother suddenly stood up.

"I'll give you two a little more time to talk about this and if the two of you really don't want it then it's fine with me. My brother said seriously before he walks towards the door and leave the two of us here. Wait… Did he just left? No!
