Child Of God

Chapter 102 - Escaping Prison: Guide To Life, By Kurama! [2]

Kurama stood by the multiverse-gate, waiting for his student to arrive. His annoyance was slowly building up, for Hanc.o.c.k had set the time to one hour, and here he was, ready to go, and she was nowhere in sight. Not only was she nowhere in sight, but she was also four hours late. Kurama had an insane amount of patience, so he had used this time to meditate and find what Rayleigh called, inner-peace. If the fox didn't possess such an incredible amount of patience, he might have destroyed this part of the world.

"MASTER! I AM HERE!!" From the staircase came the unsure voice of Hanc.o.c.k. She was approaching a.d.u.l.thood and her body showed it, yet every time she opened her mouth, Kurama heard that little girl he found when he first arrived in this world. If going by her voice alone, she hadn't grown at all.

"Kurama opened his eyes and flared his aura as he spoke. "Maybe not today, but one day soon, I will have my revenge for this!" His tone made Hanc.o.c.k halter in her steps. She was utterly confused about what he was referring to. She was right on time, as she had been working on that, and she hadn't done anything else so she had no idea what this came from.

"Whatever do you mean, Master? I'm here, an hour to the dot. And I didn't destroy anything on my way here, so there is no reason to drop a punishment on me like that!" Her voice carried an air of arrogance that came naturally with her age, and her status. She saw herself as above everyone in this world, as she held power and status above them all, that definitely showed when she spoke. You could feel the arrogance ooze off of her.

"On time? My dear student, are you so unbelievably oblivious to the reality that you are unaware that you are four hours late?" His tone was surprisingly calm, but Hanc.o.c.k knew this was very bad. Kurama was pretty straight forward in his behaviour. If he was mad, he would tell you he was, if he was angry with you, you would know immediately. Hanc.o.c.k had only heard that tone when he was suppressing a lot of boiling rage.

"Heheheh, a-am I really? T-That can't be right..." Hanc.o.c.k backed away slowly, maybe going with him might not be such a good idea now. Depending on what world they went to, her time with him could be miserable.

Kurama appeared in front of her faster than she could blink and grabbed a hold of her collar, slowly lifting her over his shoulder. "I was gonna let you take charge of this vacation, but as you have now proven yourself entirely incapable of handling even the simplest task, I will take the reign from here on out. And this is no longer a vacation. This will now be a training camp. It's time I stop being nice about your attitude!" Kurama snapped his fingers and all the other Primes appeared like magic.

"WE HAVE ARRIVED!!" Milim, together with Rayleigh stood in front of the group. She had been travelling with him this entire year and this was the first time she was meeting the rest of the Primes.

"Must. You. Always. Yell!?" Sabo felt the strong urge to punch this tiny girl in the face. But because of her physique, she reminded him of Wendy, so he couldn't in good conscience hurt her. Though that didn't mean the others couldn't, and Seilah immediately slapped Milim across the face, making her crash into the stone-wall of the room.

"Nice!" Sabo gave her a thumbs up, to which she just shrugged her shoulders and went back to reading the book floating in front of her.

"Seilah, dear, you gotta start using words. You can't respond to everything with a shrug." Isaac said playfully. Since he was the one to get her into the Cosmic Eye, she still saw him as her Master/Teacher. He was the only one she really listened to. She would obey Maleficent and the other Primes stronger than her, but Isaac's advice was the only ones she took to heart and contemplated over.

"Very well. I find Rayleigh's Knight appalling. She needs more discipline." She said and was ready to disintegrate Milin. The poor girl had just a few hours ago met these people, so she wasn't prepared for how scary they were.

"People, enough with the pleasantries." Kurama helped Milim up with magic and gave her a sympathetic look. Being a newbie in this group wasn't easy. Even though Sabo and Hanc.o.c.k were the weakest, they were still here before most other Primes were.

"Milim, I forgot to mention this to you. Most of us do not like annoying and loud people, so try and tone it down a little bit. Else Maleficent might kill you, and I can not stop her if she were to do so. None of us could." Rayleigh smiled kindly, but behind that smile layed the cold-hearted truth that he would simply find another Knight, were she to perish. She was dispensable, was the message behind that smile.

"I'll keep that in mind." She said as she walked back, with much less enthusiasm than before. The reason they had been gone for a year was to Rayleigh could help prep Milim for being part of them. Most of that was training into how not to annoy the other Primes. Now that he watched the results, he imagined that most of what he had taught her probably went into one ear and out the other.

"Okay, everyone calm down. Sir Kurama, please speak of why you have gathered us here." Issho said.

"Vacation for most of us. Training camp for the little ones. I need to instil some discipline into Hanc.o.c.k and I thought this was the perfect opportunity to hammer in some real power into the ones lagging behind the rest of us." His eyes resting perfectly on Sabo.

"I feel so targeted," Sabo said dejectedly.

"Because you're weak," Tier said.

"You're only strong because the boss handed you power. When you met us, I could kick your a.s.s. Wait until I get the contract from the boss, then I will be the one to do the ass-kicking around here." Sabo glared at her.

"You wish" Was all Tier said.

"Okay, we've wasted enough time. Lady Merlin and Maleficent will not join us at this time. They are doing something-"

"probably involving a bed," Isaac interrupted and said happily."

"I do not enjoy being interrupted!" Kurama sent a wave of his magic at Isaac. That forced him to use his own magic to defend.

"Sorry, boss, my bad!"

"Can we go now?"Seilah asked as she looked up from her book. They couldn't see it on her face, but she was excited to explore the multiverse some more. Experimenting on different species always put her in a good mood.

"Absolutely!" Kurama pointed a finger at the gate and spoke with a commanding tone. "Two-hundred-twenty-seven!" And the door opened up slowly, revealing the complete blackness within.

"Let's go! Everyone step on through." Kurama said as he grabbed hold of Hanc.o.c.k that layed embarrassed over his shoulder and threw her into the gate.

"AAAAH!" Her scream disappeared beyond the gate as the other Primes watched on and giggled. It wasn't often you saw Hanc.o.c.k facing any sort of defeat. Because she was Kurama's personal student, not many dared messing with her. Acnologia was the only one who did it without caring if Kurama retaliated. That man pretty much wouldn't care if he died because of it, he just always did what he wanted. And, no single Prime, except Kurama could take him down alone.

"Then I'll go first, I hope you picked a durable world because our dual is not over!" Acnologia said as he walked over to the gate and keeping a glance at Kurama.

"You'll be surprised, I guarantee it, my friend," Kurama said and motioned the others to follow Acnologia.
