Child Of God

Esdeath was in her cabin on the warship. They had been travelling for an entire day already and she had been experimenting all day long.

She had when she was promoted to Vice-Admiral put a limiter on herself. She wanted to know the top of this world and the real heights people here could reach. And that was impossible to know if she went around with her world-destroying power.

So she limited herself to only use water magic and sword skills. Nothing like stopping time or anything on that level of power.

She was sitting in the middle of her room in the famous lotus position. The peculiarity about her situation was that she wasn't sitting on the ground.

In the room was a big ball of water. And Esdeath was using it as a chair. She had been manipulating water all night because she wanted to see everything she could do with it.

And as she had previously thought. She could do anything with it. She could manipulate the ocean perfectly and she could control the human body as well.

Boom!

An explosion appeared and the warship swayed heavily and Esdeath opened her closed eyes. She sent out what she dubbed an awareness pulse.

Esdeath gathered magic in the centre area of her stomach and then sent that magic out in the area like a sonar. She would get a read on anything in her surroundings no matter how small it was.

"Vice Admiral Esdeath!" Hina's voice came from outside the door coupled with a couple of powerfully placed knocks.

"Who's attacking?" She asked while inspecting the sh.i.p.s that fired with her magic pulse.

"The beasts pirates, Jack. He is one of Kaido's most trusted men."

Distress could be heard in Hina's tone. This was Hina's first time meeting a big shot pirate. All she had fought previously was all new to the grand line. And Jack was a pirate from the new world. Then most dangerous kind of pirate there is.

Esdeath cancelled her magic and went to the door and opened it up. Only to find Hina with panic written all over her beautiful face. She tried to hide then extreme fear she felt, but it shone through like she wasn't trying to hide it at all.

"Puppy, calm down. I won't let anyone harm you or anyone on my crew. So let's go see what we are dealing with here."

Esdeath walked passed the distressed Hina in a manner that did not exactly reflect their current predicament.

'How is she so calm?' Hina watched her departed back, completely stuck in thought. She couldn't understand the reason as to why Esdeath was so relaxed.

Esdeath arrived on deck and looked out over the railing and at the sh.i.p.s sailing towards them. They were coming in hot and a very large man stood at the helm of the middle ship and stared at her intensely.

He was around eight meters tall. That's double the height of Kurama, and he was a giant in their previous world. Only Dragon was bigger than his human form over there.

"How unlucky you are to come across me marine. Remember to struggle, because that makes it more fun for me."

Jack laughed sadistically and drew his weapons. Which was two scythe-like weapons and they were bigger then the average human was. And his arms were small in proportion to his very large torso.

"I would say leave and I'll let you live. But I'm not that nice. And since you're young I'm gonna show you how big the world is and how small you are in comparison to it."

Esdeath stood with her hands behind her back military style. Hina was standing behind her almost on the verge of fainting.

There was a heavy pressure in the air and it made it very difficult for the marines on board to breath. Hina was the only one that could stand there and at least look calm on the surface.

"Don't interfere. I will handle this." Esdeath walked forward and jumped up on the railing. She stared at Jack and smiled.

'Let's use them to figure out how much I should limit my power.'

Esdeath slowly put her hand on her sword hilt. She then closed her eyes and breathed out slowly.

She drew her sword and it was drawn at lighting speed and Hina sent out a sword slash that divided the ocean in two.

Boom!

Boom!

The sword energy attack the sent out split into two and instead of hitting Jack's ship that it was aimed for. It slashed straight through the other two sh.i.p.s beside Jack.

"DAMN MARINE!" Jack was preparing to deflect the attack but when it split into two he missed it and he lost two sh.i.p.s because of it.

"I KILL YOU!" Jack was in full rage so he jumped towards the marine warship with his weapons drawn.

"LOOK OUT!" Hina yelled when she saw Jack approach and Esdeath stood still there with closed eyes. She had been momentarily stunned by the display of skill she showed when she drew her sword on the pirates.

"DIE!" Jack arrived above Esdeath and slashed down with his right scythe.

Esdeath drew her sword and countered Jack's hit. She hit him with so much physical force that Jack was blown back by it. He was heading towards the ocean but Esdeath appeared in front of him and kicked him towards his ship instead.

Jack flew to his ship and crashed right into it, almost breaking it apart entirely. He landed on a few of his crewmates and they lost their lives because of it.

Esdeath had used Jack's body and the force from her kick to springboard herself back onto her own ship again. And she landed gracefully on the railing and jumped down on the floor of the ship.

By now all the marines on board that thought they were gonna die had stars in their eyes and they were almost crying from happiness and relief.

"Pull yourselves together, you're marines. And set sail again. We have a deadline, and I want us at Sabaody by tomorrow at the latest." Esdeath walked away towards her cabin.

Hina stood there with her mouth open in shock and admiration. She had this incredible feeling of awe rise up insider her.

She had before her one of the most powerful marines she had ever seen. And Esdeath was a woman like her. Almost all her classmates had told her that she didn't have a future because females weren't fighters.

Hina knew they were just young men that didn't know a single thing about the world. And Esdeath proved just that, she proved that Hina could also fulfil her dream about being the strongest in the world. Someone fighting at the great stage of the world. The stage is known as the new world, where all the powerhouses gathered.

That was her dream. To be able to walk with admirals and emperors and have them look at her as an equal fighter.

'She's amazing." Hina thought as she ordered the members around and prepared to start sailing again.
