Esdeath was walking back from Sengoku's office. And on her way she happened to pass the plaza where academy recruits were sparring.

And on one side you had someone she was very familiar with. Esdeath was looking at Hina, and how she was sparring with a white-haired young man. They were fighting using swords and they were pretty equal.

In terms of pure talent with weapons, the boy had Hina beat. But she was quite a bit faster than him so she got around his defences a few times already.

The problem was that Hina could never land a clean hit because every time she bypassed his defence he hand or sword would pass through him like he didn't exist.

"Hina! You need to work on balance, yours is horrible." Esdeath came from behind and said to the pink-haired teenager.

"Vice-Admiral Esdeath!" Hina said and stopped fighting to salute. The boy she was fighting with also lazily saluted but there was no intent in it. It was just an action he made out of habit.

"Smoker! Salute properly, or else you'll get it!" Hina yelled in his face like a mother scolding her disobedient son.

"It is okay, Hina. No need to punish him. And you can't even hit him so how would you hit him?" Esdeath tilted her head and asked the girl, to which turned red in the face.

"I'll hurt him when I learn haki, he better watch out when that happens." She glared at Smoker and smiled at Esdeath.

"I see. That's good. Now I must be going, I have another errand to run outside of the base." She pinched Hina's cheek and Hina looked like she was waiting for it at this point.

"I see. See ya later, Ma'am!" She saluted again.

"ye, ye," Esdeath said and waved while walking away.

Esdeath was standing in the on the ocean surface quite the distance away from the marine HQ. She wanted to try a new move she thought about.

She used her right index finger and submerged it in the water below her feet. She then closed her eyes and started to listen to the water.

'Where are you?' She was using the water like her own personal messenger. Since all people in the world live near water, she could get clues or direct contact with almost everyone in the world.

'aha, there you are' Esdeath stopped searching now that she had the location. She stood upright on the water then slowly her body started to turn into water and she disappeared into the ocean.

On the other side of the world, inside the sea known as west blue was an island that was famous for its pirates. This was an island that the marines in west blue had fought against for years and years. They always got new recruits whenever they lost members and the leaders were impossible to track down so their crews never diminished.

Outside the island was a marine ship that belonged to one of west blues Rear-Admirals. He was here because the reports said that the leader of one of the pirate gangs had finally shown himself.

"We move in when night falls until then keep watch over their movements," Roman said to his men. He was one of the oldest and most experienced marines in west blue.

The water behind the ship started to change. Bubbles were starting to gather at one spot and soon a shadowy figure flew out of the ocean and landed on the deck of the ship.

"What's the status of the pirates on the island?" Esdeath said as she landed on the ship and squeezed water out of her hair. She was drenched and her suit was stuck to her body and was somewhat revealing her u.n.d.e.r.g.a.r.m.e.n.ts.

"eh... W..Who are you?" Roman said and swallowed while watching Esdeath's body from head to toe. All the marines on the ship that saw her current wettened body stood on attention.

"Calm it down boys, I'm way out of your league." Esdeath winked to a marine rookie standing off to the side.

"I'm Vice-Admiral Esdeath from HQ. I was passing by when I overheard your conversation up here." Esdeath put up her hair in a bun and her cuteness immediately shot through the roof.

"Passing by? You mean to say you swam here?" Roman asked confused.

"Ye, I suppose so, ye." Roman was the only one that could look at her without losing themselves in her beauty.

"I... see. Well, we got a report that the pirate captain we have been chasing for years has shown himself on the island." Roman reported in his military tone. And the fact that someone like a Vice-Admiral form HQ stood before him just hit him, so he became a lot more respectful.

"It's a trap. I'll go in myself, give me the location." Esdeath reached out her hand clearly asking for the report about this pirate captain.

"Here, Ma'am. I was suspicious as well, that's why we have waited to go in. I wanted to observe the situation a little closer."

"You're clever. But you and your boys just stay here, I'll go and take care of this." Esdeath threw the report back to him and walked over to the railing and climbed up on it.

Esdeath jumped into the ocean again and like some superpower, she zoomed through the ocean at incredible speed. She took off so fast that the ship experienced some turbulence because of it.

Over at the beach on the island Esdeath exited the water, but this time she was completely dry. Her hair was still in a bun so she looked very innocent and insanely cute.

'Manipulation is getting too easy.' Esdeath laughed to herself. Esdeath had found out how many questions and annoying trouble you could bypass with a little s.e.x appeal.

'Now let's have some fun.' She started walking.
