Child Of God

Chapter 4 - Ending Disputes

Rory didn't want to make herself known to the world yet, but she also didn't want to miss this show. So without Obito's knowledge, she followed him as he travelled to his target.

She was jumping from treetop to treetop and watching Obito running to what looked like quite the big village. It was filled with people, and in terms of strength, there were a lot of them that could battler him equally.

'This could be interesting. How will he deal with this village? Many of them are just as strong, if not even stronger then he is. Maybe his eye's power is hard for these people to handle. I'm excited.' Obito arrived outside the village and stopped running. His chakra flared and he started doing some hand signs that Rory didn't recognize.

'What's that boy doing?' As she was questioning him, a massive explosion of smoke appeared and a loud roar soon followed.

A giant orange fox with a crazed look in its eyes appeared and immediately started destroying the village. What looked like both civilians and warriors started moving in every direction. The civilians were being escorted away from the fox, while many others starting engaging it and trying to get it's attention away from the villagers that were fleeing.

"A distraction. What a clever boy." Rory saw that Obito and a man with spiky yellow hair had found one another. They were exchanging a couple of words before there fight started. Obito was skilled but there was a very clear difference between them. Obito relied on the power of his eyes a lot more than his pure skill in weapons or close combat fighting.

Rory appeared on a tree close to where those two were fighting and she didn't make any attempt in hiding herself so they both noticed her very quickly.

"It's dangerous here, please getaway." The man with the yellow hair didn't sense anything about her because Rory hid her power level away. So to them, she was just a beautiful little girl who was sitting on a tree branch. Obito, of course, knew better than this.

"I am just here to watch so you should focus on your opponent again, instead of me. He might kill you." Rory pointed at Obito and making no claim to be on either side on this dispute.

"huh? Is she your leader?" The yellow-haired man asked Obito from nowhere. Either he is a genius for making a semi-accurate conclusion, or he is totally lost right now. Rory didn't know which one it was.

"eh, I guess you could call me that. I am everybody's boss at the end of the day. But your fight is with him, no?" Rory sat there casually and swayed her legs back and forth.

"She is not my boss. Now get ready to die, Minato." Obito said in his famous deep and raspy voice. He started running towards Minato and the ground by his feet broke apart by his feet as he started up his sprint.

"Whatever. I won't let any of you destroy my village. I will protect it." Minato started sprinting as well, and as he ran he threw two very special looking kunai. One headed straight for Obito while the other was thrown at Rory's head.

"Naughty boy." She caught the kunai between her fingers and held on to it as she inspected it closely. Obito used his Sharingan and made the kunai simply pass through his head. This wasn't good enough as Minato appeared above him where the kunai was and he slammed a small ball formed technique down on Obito. It was one of his most famous techniques, the Rasengan.

"Argh," Obito got buried in the ground and part of his body got destroyed just like when Rory hit him before. Minato disappeared immediately and as Rory was inspecting the kunai he appeared beside her.

"Apologies." He said as he kicked the side of her body to try and capture her. If this was his boss, then she was the priority if he could get her in a surprise attack.

"Not gonna work. You're too slow, believe it or not." She held onto the leg that he used to try and kick her with. She took a good hold of him and threw him to the same spot that Obito laid at. She appeared where he was gonna land and punched him lightly into the ground making him cough up blood.

"W-Who are you?" Minato said as he struggled to stand up. Her speed didn't go unnoticed by him. It was in the same league as himself when using his flying thunder god technique.

"I'm Rory Mercury. And I am not your enemy. You attacked me first so this is one you Minato." Rory bowed down and picked up Obito. She wasn't gonna leave him here after all.

"Let me down, I don't need your help." Obito was complaining, but in the end, couldn't do anything to escape her grasp. So he was forced to be carried in the princess position by her.

"Please, my village, my wife. Save them. I can't!" Minato had a hard time moving from the sheer force behind that punch so he was forced to ask her to save his wife. He had it all riding on this little girl, not being completely evil inside.

"Will you be my friend if I do?" Rory asked while tilting her head.

"Wha..? S-sure... Just save them, please!" Minato coughed out more blood. Rory smiled at his answer and snapped her finger.

"Why don't we save her together then, my friend." Rory watched Minato get up completely healed. His body was just a little sore, but otherwise, he was all fine."

"How did you do that?" Minato's jaw had dropped at this display of power.

"Shouldn't we go and save someone? What's with all the questions?" Rory pointed at the fox destroying and killing in the distance.

"Y-Yes of course. Please, Rory, stop the nine-tailed fox while I make sure my wife is fine." Minato bowed and immediately disappeared from that place. Rory's eye's followed him despite his speed.

Obito was fully awake during this whole conversation and he was just too shocked to speak. Almost nothing was going as he had planned it from the start. All because of his new "friend".

"Then I have to leave you here then, Obito. You better leave this village now. I like it here actually, so I won't allow you to harm it more. So go harm another village instead." Rory said and threw him to the ground, and he g.r.o.a.n.e.d in pain as he landed.

*sigh* A quick sigh came out and Obito disappeared in a spiral and soon no trace was left of him here. He knew it was pointless to fight her, so why test fate. He could still finish the plan, it just required a little more detailed planning now.

"Okay, so let's go beat up that fox." Rory disappeared like the wind.
