Child Of God

Chapter 5 - A Lifetime Of Servitude Starts As Friends

The huge fox monster that had been released on the village was still going berserk and destroying anything that stood in its way. It didn't matter if it was a building a person. This village had some crazy strong people if going by the standards of this world, but they couldn't do a whole lot because what they were fighting here was essentially an immortal being with near unlimited chakra.

"Keep it contained in this area for as long as you can. We need to wait for Minato so we can seal it again. Keep your distance, don't go up close." An old man dressed in battle attire was yelling out commands like there was no tomorrow. He was the strongest one here, even if you counted in Minato himself. This old man had them all beat.

"Keep it up! Don't let it further into the village." He was looking around on all the ninjas in the village that were fighting the nine tails. Although they could keep it contained for a while. They didn't have endless chakra as it had. They could only keep this up for so long.

'How many more are going to have to sacrifice themselves before we can stop this monster. Where are you Minato?' He was trying not to look worried or anxious, but time was running out and he as well as the people here knew that.

"Need any help, boy?" A small childlike voice came from behind him. His battle instincts kicked in and he swung his adamantine pole backwards towards where the voice had originated.

"Easy there, boy. I am here to help." He watched as the little girl stopped his weapon, using only her pinky. The ninjas that guarded him all lost their minds for a second. They had never seen anyone stop that weapon so easily before.

"Who are you, little one? And why are you here?" He tried to apply a little force but the pole did not advance in the slightest. It had completely stopped at her finger, so he took it back seeing as he could not overpower her.

"First of all. You should show a little respect towards your elders. Why are all of you the same? Is it because of my form?" Rory looked at herself than the man in front of her. All this while the fighting was still happening in the background.

"Elder? What do you mean. Never mind, we don't have time. you said you are here to help. What do you mean by that? Who are you?" He said in a hurried tone, but he still tried to keep as calm as possible.

"Minato asked me to help, so I decided to do so. So just let me know if you want me to take care of that cutey over there." Rory pointed at the rampaging fox in the distance. All around her, people's jaw's hit the ground because of her nickname for the nine tails.

"ARE YOU INSANE!?? DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MONSTER IS?" A ninja that stood beside her screamed in her face with an angry look. Clearly very emotional right now.

"Respect, young man!" A fist that no one around, even the old man could follow hit the young ninja, and he crashed into the wall of the house next to the one they stood on. Rory cleaned of the small amount of blood that she had on her fist with a napkin.

"What are you doing, stop that!" The old man said and the rest of the ninjas, despite being freaked out and scared surrounded her with weapons in hand.

"Let me say this now. Disrespect towards me, will not end well for any of you. Start showing it or I will continue to let that cute little thing destroy your home." Rory said while casually wiping her hand with the napkin.

"You're right. We apologize. My name is Hiruzen Sarutobi. It's a p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to make your acquaintance. Now could you help us with the nine-tailed fox? Before the entire village is destroyed." Nobody was pleased with her attitude, but they all witnessed the speed of that punch. They all understood that this was the worst time to make this person an enemy.

"Hi, Sarutobi. My name is Rory Mercury. Of course, I will help. I told Minato I would so just tell your men to back off as I do my thing." Rory said and walked to the edge of the building and jumped towards the fox.

"Retreat! Everyone back off!" The call was made and every ninja made their way back while trying not to get killed by the fox as it madly swung its claws around. As they were retreating the fox stopped using his claws and pointed it's facing upwards. It opened its mouth and something started to gather at the tip of its nose. It looked like a small black or purple ball that quickly grew larger until it was the size of a half a house.

"RUN! TAILED BEAST BOMB!" The ninjas heard the voice and saw there black sphere of death that the fox was almost ready to release. Hiruzen stood there watching the sphere. He put trust in the little girl and refused to run. He saw the girl appear before the fox and noticed that she was flying, or at least hovering.

'Gravity Jutsu? Who is she? I have never seen her, and Minato has never mentioned her. We just have to hope that she can deal with this attack.' He stood there and watched the girl hover in front of the tailed beast bomb.

"Hi there, Handsome. How about you stop this childish rampage before I have to spank you, huh. What do you say." Rory had a tailed beast bomb pointed right at her face and she barely cared.

*ROOOOAAAARRRRR* The fox roared so loud that a few of the weaker ninjas had to cover their ears and a few others got on their knees in fear. To them, this was the most terrifying beast in the world. The attack was released together with a roar and it flew towards Rory, ready to annihilate her.

"Guess you're getting the tough love now. Let's see what you can take." Rory raised her hand and stopped the attack with her hand. She had the attack in her hand and she raised it towards the sky and let it fly off into space. The ninjas watching all lost their minds, again. Hiruzen's jaw hit the floor. This little girl was more impressive and terrifying then the paperwork the city council managed to stack up for him.

'Well, this is one person I can't let the council offend at all. I don't even want them to meet. If they offend her, we might all just die at that moment. So troublesome. Why can't anything be easy..' Hiruzen just stood there until the ground started to shake.

*BOOOOOOOOOOM* The air and ground vibrated slightly as the beast bomb went off way up in the air. The shaking, even though the attack was way up in the sky, signified the incredible power behind that attack.

Rory disappeared and the ninjas saw her standing on the fox's nose. She had moved in an instance yet again, and nobody knew how she was doing it. She was a total mystery to them and everyone that was with Hiruzen was scared of her now.

"Bad kitty!" Rory lightly punched it's nose as she stood on it and the fox crashed down on the ground, causing the whole area to vibrate like an earthquake just hit. Rory was left up in the air and watched as the fox got back up again after that punch.

"oh, not enough to put you down, huh," Rory was about to attack again but she stopped herself as she noticed its eyes. They were the same as Obito's. She did a quick scan of the fox and immediately found what was going on.

She snapped her finger and the Sharingan influence disappeared from its body. the eyes of the fox started to go back to normal and for a second, clarity was visible in its eyes. This was until it saw Rory standing there in mid-air and smiling at it. Anger started to swell up again.

"Puny girl. Get ready to die!" It said in its mighty voice and swung one of its claws trying to squash the little girl. The huge arm came to an abrupt stop just before it hit the girl. The ninjas around the battlefield all saw how Rory stopped the fox as easy as she did its attack.

"I see you require another punch. Hope you survive, because your super cute." Rory appeared on its nose again and stared straight into its eyes.

"Don't die!" She stretched forward her hand and flicked the forehead of the fox. The sheer power behind that flick made the giant fox fly thousand of miles back and destroy everything in its way. The fox was like a giant ball of death as an entire village was destroyed by the fox as it tried to stop itself.

Rory appeared a few meters in front of the fox and held out her hand, and the beast again came to an abrupt stop and Rory remained still. Even the giant body of the fox and coupled with the speed it was going, was not enough to move her. The beast itself had a hard time understanding what was going on here.

'What is she?!! The old man can't even compare to her.. what the hell.' The fox was alive, but also very beat up. It didn't think anything here could hurt it, but this little girl's punches actually hurt. He didn't understand why they hurt so damn much.

"Have you calmed down yet you silly fox. I just want to talk with you, not like those ninjas over there. I would never hurt you, you know." Rory said as she sat on its head and gently stroked its fur. It was so fluffy that she didn't ever want to stop.

"YOU JUST PUNCHED ME!" It roared in rage but for some reason, it couldn't move its body. It tried but some weird energy was holding it down and it became impossible for it to move.

"You refused to talk, so I had to at that time. Now that we are alone, we can talk in peace." Rory had by this point laid down on its head and continued to stroke it's fur.

"Fine, whatever. What do you want? Do you want my power like all the rest? typical humans.." The fox grumbled like an old man and tried to shake off the annoying girl playing with his fur, but he still couldn't move at all.

"Power? Your power isn't even comparable to mine. Why would I want yours?" Rory said while indulging herself in more fur. It was like she had gotten addicted to it at this point.

"A human couldn't possibly have that amount of power. If that is true, then you are certainly not human. What are you?" The fox had calmed down now, start asking real questions. There weren't many beings still around that could battle him and win. That boy only won because of those eyes he possessed. He didn't know of anyone outside of maybe some humans that had his siblings powers, that could stand equal to him in strength.

"It took you this long to realize that? I am divine. Nothing here compares to me, not even the girl that's sealed inside the moon." Rory pointed at the moon. The fox showed a visible reaction to this. He had an idea of who she was talking about, but he wanted to be sure.

"What girl are you talking about?"

"You call her the mother of chakra or something like that. She is the mother of that six paths guy. That boy sealed his own mother inside the moon. What an unfortunate fate." Rory visibly shook her head in disappointment. Imagine your own family attacking you. What a tragic fate.

"How do you know about the old man?" the fox had a look of shock on his face as he asked that question. Why hadn't he met this girl before? This was information very few people, if any, knew about. This girl really was a mystery.

"Reading minds isn't that difficult you know. Plus, I am way too powerful for anything in this world to lay hidden from my eyes." Rory said with a prideful expression.

"HA, HA, HA, HA, INDEED IT APPEARS SO!!" The fox laughed out loud for a good solid minute and the whole are shook from his laugh alone.

"Tone it down, will ya. I'm going deaf here." Rory covered her ears with her tiny hands, and she looked adorable doing it as well.

"Sorry, sorry, little girl." He stopped laughing like a maniac and just enjoyed the moment between them now.

"Little girl? You should treat me with respect since I'm way older than you." Rory said casually but the big fox thought he heard it wrong.

"How old are you? Because you do know that I am a thousand years old." His eyes glanced up at the girls stroking his hair.

"Ye, I know. I am four millennia older. I was born five thousand years ago. So you should treat me with respect." Rory said and hit the fox on the head. The punch itself felt like a house crashing down on his head.

"Forgive me, my lady." The fox spoke jokingly and laughed lightly.

"Oh, I like that. Call me from now on. That totally fits me." Rory stroked his fur so fiercely that the fox thought it would come off.

"Whatever you say, miss Divine.." The fox was in a strangely good mood, despite the fact he had just been battling a few thousand ninjas and then gotten beat up by this little lady.

"No! Call me My lady. From now on and until the end of time, I am My Lady to you." She punched the fox in the head even harder, making him grown in pain from that little fist. She was small but she packed a real punch.

"Fine, My Lady. So what are you doing here anyway?" He changed the subject before the conversation had the chance to become any weirder than it already was.

"I want you to become my companion. Make a bond with me. Accept my blessing and become one of my followers." She was laying on her back with closed eyes, just enjoying the moment.

"Fine, but only on two conditions."

"Shoot. Whatever it is, it's no problem at all."

"Free will. I don't want to be sealed back inside some human. and second, the condition is that you free my siblings." He spoke in a very serious tone of voice.

"Of course you can have free will. I might travel to other worlds, and yes they exist. Then you have to follow along, but you can do whatever you want while we are there. Sounds good?" She was still laying down chilling on the back of his head.

"That's okay! About my siblings?"

"Are you sure they would want it. I have looked at them, and some of them are pretty happy where they are. At least 2 of them are pretty much in sync with their host." Rory already knew about the other beasts. She had scanned the planet and looked for them. She knew which ones were friendly with their host and who was not.

"They are just like me. They all d.e.s.i.r.e freedom. If you offer it, they will take it. Especially if I am there to prove that you are speaking the truth. But I want a test period first. I will travel with you for a while, and if I find what you say to be true. Then we come back for my siblings." He glanced at her again. She still had her eyes closed and she was pondering about this deal. It was perfectly okay on her part. She was basically just deciding what world to visit next with him next.

'He seems to care greatly for their safety by the way he spoke and making sure I am trustworthy. Interesting fellow.'

"Of course it's a deal. Let me know when you're ready to make the bond." She said and sat up with her eyes still closed.

"Whenever you are, My Lady." He smiled mischievously.

"Okay, then. Get ready!"

"Kurama, the nine-tailed fox. Accept my blessing and.. Blah, blah, blah.." Her hand started glowing and she put it down on his head. Instantly he felt a massive surge of energy enter him.

'What is this insane energy. The old man really can't even compare to her. Where the hell did she come from.' It was the scariest, but also the most empowering feeling he had ever experienced.

"You now have my blessing and our bond is now eternal. All with my blessing inherent part of my power. I am interested to see what kind of changed will come to you." As she said that, Kurama started shrinking. It took only a few seconds and what was left was the biggest looking mortal man Rory had ever seen.

"What the hell!!? What happened to my tails... Why did this happen!?" Kurama was now a four meters tall man. He had short slicked-back hair with a semi bushy beard. His hair was fiery red and a mix of his fur's orange colour. He had bulging muscles, and coupled with his height, he became the scariest bouncer to ever walk the mortal plane. He had on a very simple looking robe with a semi-exposed c.h.e.s.t.

"You look incredible Kurama! Absolutely the most handsome man alive! I want to eat you up!!!" Rory yelled and jumped up and sat on his right shoulder. She proceeded to snuggle his entire head and by using her arms, she stroked his hair and his beard.

"T-Thank y-you... My Lady!?? I still don't understand how this happened. Do you know?" Kurama actually started to stroke Rory's cheek with his hand. He barely realized he did it. Something just felt incredibly natural about this action. In his eyes, Rory had become something he wanted to protect by using his everything. It all felt incredibly natural, so he didn't feel bad about it.

"It's divine energy. it's super strange in nature, so I figured you would get some additional benefits or something. And BOY is this a benefit." She said as she was eyeing his body and face. A chill ran up Kurama's back as he received that stare.

"ahm! anyways, My lady. What is to be done now? Mind if I ask about these other worlds? Are they similar to this one?" The fact that other worlds existed didn't shock him that much. He was old and have seen a lot of things. He was mostly interested in if they were similar to this one, as that would be pretty boring for him.t

"No, most have nothing in common. They all contain very powerful people. Some of them will even be able to put a dent in your armour. Even after bonding with me." Rory said as she was hugging his head and enjoying his hand stroking her head in turn.

"How exciting. Though, should we return to that village? They might be looking for an explanation at this point." Kurama suggested to his new lady that was sitting on his shoulder.

"I do want to talk more to that Minato kid. He was interesting and I am curious if his wife died or not. So ye, let's go over there. FORWARDS KURAMA!" She yelled and pointed in the direction of the village.
