Child Of God

Chapter 42 - Hanc.o.c.k Takes Action

On the seas of the New World, a massive galleon was sailing at high speed. It looked intimidating with its gigantic size and scary looking jolly roger on its sails.

On the boat were five people and none of them was steering the ship. This vessel was entirely made from a magic so it needed no one to steer it directly. A thought was enough to get it going, or if you thought "go west" the ship would travel west.

"Master, where are we going?" Hanc.o.c.k said while sitting on the railing of the ship and playing with a tiny fire she had summoned to her hand. She could shape the fire however she wanted, and right now it looked like the fox head present on their sail.

"Since I am an emperor now, or will be soon enough. And since I am super lazy and slow in doing stuff, I need thousands of people working for me. So we are going on a hunt for recruits." Kurama was sitting on his throne that he placed on the ship.

"So you know which ones were are recruiting yet?" Sabo asked, excited that he could finally leave that hell, that was Esdeath and Kurama's training island. He and the sisters had done nothing but practice and training their bodies since either of them arrived there.

"Some of them I know where to find. But if we see someone promising on the way, we can just kindly ask them to join as well."

"And are you sure anyone will join us, Master?" Sonia asked a little concerned because they all knew how powerful New World pirates are.

"Do you know how many new and imm.a.t.u.r.e pirate enter the New World every single day? And among all of those fresh pirates, none will decline a place behind an emperor. You can find no safer spot than with an emperor. Marines will avoid them just because they are flying my flag."

"There is a ship in sight, so I suppose that theory will be tested right now," Mari said and pointed at a ship in the distance. It was much smaller than theirs and slower as well.

"What an unfortunate group of pirates. Look who else is approaching." Kurama pointed in another direction. And what the kids saw was the most peculiar thing. A man with an afro hairstyle cycling on the water surface.

"Is that the ice admiral? Aokiji... I think his name is." Sabo was trying hard to remember all the people he had to study while on the island.

"Correct! Now, the question is, what is he doing here on my sea? Let's go ask him." Kurama directed the ship towards the smaller and slower pirate ship.

The group of mages here used magic to enhance their sight a lot, so not even Aokiji could make them out before they spotted him. Magic, if used and trained correctly was superior to most powers and abilities in the universe.

Over at the pirate ship that had no idea they had been targeted by an Emperor and an Admiral, life seemed to be good. There was a party going on, and no one was looking out for any dangers approaching. And this proved that this was a rookie ship.

In the New World, you can't ever take your eyes off the sea. It would take but a second for a Sea King to swallow a small ship like theirs, or a random tsunami to destroy them.

"ALL HAIL CAPTAIN JACKSON! THE MAN WHO BROUGHT US SAFELY TO THE SEA OF OUR DREAMS!" A beautiful woman stood with a large cup in hand and yelled to the rest of the crew. The people on the crew responded with a large cheer.

The woman had long blonde hair that reached down to her waist. She had clear ocean blue eyes that sparkled in the sunshine. And she was wearing a purple suit with a sword strapped to her waist. And beside her stood a man that looked to be in his late twenties.

He had short brown hair with brown eyes looking over his crew with pride sparkling within. He had on a black suit with two swords strapped to his back.

"There's no need for this, you guys! We did this as one single unit. We are strongest when we are united, so we will celebrate the hard work we all put into this journey. So ALL HAIL THE RISING SUN PIRATES!" He yelled and raised his cup and downed the entire thing.

"oooh, loyalty among pirates? I never thought I'd see the day." A tall man with an afro said while sitting on one of the beams.

"A-ADMIRAL AOKIJI!!" One of the pirates with a cup in hand dropped it on the ground and fell backwards in fright. His legs stopped responding the moment his bewildered mind managed to comprehend the sight in front of his face.

"Everyone prepare to fight!" Captain Jackson and his right-hand woman drew their swords. A man on the deck drew his pistol and shot Aokiji in the head. But of course, the bullet went straight through.

"hmm, not the smarted move, young pirate." Aokiji's eyes landed on the teenage pirate that had seemed to fire out of fear.

"I'll make your deaths quick and painless." Aokiji dropped down and landed on the deck, right in front of the group of pirates.

He raised his arm and a long ice javelin started growing out of his palm. He grasped it and quickly swung it towards the pirate's necks.

"Not my crew, you bastard!" Jackson appeared in front and stopped the swing with both his swords. Jackson was pushed back slightly, but he stopped Aokiji without having to sacrifice any of his crew.

"Haki? Impressive. But it's far from enough to stop the inevitable." Aokiji summoned an ice sword in his other hand and swung it towards Jackson. But before it landed a foot arrived and slammed into the Admiral's c.h.e.s.t and sent him crashing through the wall of the crews sleeping quarters.

"Phew, made it in time!" A black-haired beauty had arrived beside Jackson. She smiled and praised herself internally.

"Who are you?" Jackson asked while observing the hole Aokiji made with his body. No Admiral was going to lose that easily so his guard was still up.

"Hanc.o.c.k, nice to meet ya," She said and reached out to shake his hand. Jackson gave her a look as if she had lost her mind.

"Not now, we're facing an admiral, let's shake hands later." He turned his attention toward the sound in the sleeping quarters.

"oyoy, that hurt. Who are you girl?" Aokiji came walking out practically unhurt. He looked Hanc.o.c.k up and down. From the way she was standing, he figured she had been properly taught. She showed no openings, even when standing casually. She was dangerous, to a degree at least.

"Names Hanc.o.c.k, 4th Tail of the Tailed Pirates. Nice to meet you, Admiral Aokiji." Hanc.o.c.k declared her status to the people present and the Rising Sun pirates lost their thought process for a moment.

"ooh, looks like I have to get serious here." Aokiji's body started changing and the entire ship started getting covered in ice. The temperature dropped so low that the weaker pirates lost their usual mobility. It was getting hard to even move.

"Fine by me! Jackson, that's your name, right? Stay right there, I'll be right back." Hanc.o.c.k said and her body started heating up, and the ice around her and Jackson disappeared slowly.

"Interesting!" Aokiji said and summoned a javelin and tossed it at full force towards Hanc.o.c.k.

Hanc.o.c.k smiled and put up her hands in front of her. A barrier made of fire appeared and blocked the javelin. The barrier and the javelin wrestled for dominance for a few seconds, but Aokiji's javelin finally got consumed by the flames.

"My turn." Hanc.o.c.k covered her hands in flames and jumped towards Aokiji. And he did the same thing and met her with his fist. Their fists clashed over and over again and every time they met, more of the ship got destroyed.

'Master was right, I'm not strong enough yet. Aokiji is still not using haki or his fruit to the fullest. He knew he was stronger so he is testing me, AAH! So frustrating!'

Hanc.o.c.k started to feel the fatigue building up. And she knew that she couldn't fight much longer than this. Every punch from Aokiji felt like a boulder slamming against her hands at lightning speed.

Aokiji and Hanc.o.c.k clashed one more time but this time she couldn't hold out against him. So as their fists clashed Hanc.o.c.k lost her ground and Aokij's fist passed her defences and headed for her c.h.e.s.t,

"That's enough for now, children." A massive palm came and grabbed a hold of Aokiji's arm and then flung his whole body into the wall of the sleeping quarters, this time he didn't crash through it.

"Aokiji, leave now and I'll let you live, but stay and be stubborn like that Akainu boy, and I'll kill you." A vicious killing intent assaulted Aokiji for a second, and it stopped his breathing. He only managed to take a breath again when it disappeared.

"Tailed Emperor, how unfortunate to run into you." Aokiji stood up with some difficulty. He had a defeated smile on his face.

"You heard me, boy, leave!" Kurama used a deep and dark tone, and it proved successful because Aokiji moved to the railing and jumped over it. While in mid-air he said his last piece to Kurama.

"Hope we don't meet again, Tailed Emperor." He landed on a small ice platform where his bicycle stood. And he didn't hesitate as he got on and left the area.

"T-Tailed Beast Emperor!" Jackson's right-handed woman came and said without thinking. She was in a trance as she stared at his massive form. He looked like the real definition of an Emperor. His aura his face, his outfit. It all said, mighty Emperor.

"It looks like you guys need a new ship," Kurama said and turned towards Jackson with a business smile on his face.
