Child Of God

Chapter 48 - Bounties Arrive

This world held many mysterious that had yet to be solved. Even smaller and more peaceful seas like the East blue held secret upon secret. Unknown islands and powerful hidden people in hiding. This world has everything and even more than that to offer this worlds adventurers.

But by far, the most mysterious and strange mystery in this world belonged to a single person. And her identity was that of a Marine Admiral. Her name was Esdeath and she was currently sailing the most unknown and frightening sea in the world. The New World.

She was on her warship, and even though this was a ship belonging to the Marines. The entire crew that was on this ship had loyalty to no one else then Esdeath. Her aura as a goddess made it impossible for people like this to withstand her.

Not even another Admiral could have withstood her aura for this many years and not been affected by it. She wasn't just any goddess. She was THE goddess. The one that ruled above all else. Withstanding her is like trying to withstand existence, which none can do.

Esdeath and a tall man dressed in a grey suit with a cloak around him sat in her cabin. This was the mysterious gambling addict that she picked up a few days before. Their destination was her island in the New World.

"Lady Esdeath. I still find it very hard to wrap my head around the fact that it exists multiple worlds. How do they look compared to ours? Are they too all ocean and barely any land?" He said in an excited tone that he clearly tried to mask as laziness.

"No, they are all different. Some have no oceans and still are as healthy as this world. They all thrive and survive on many different energies. And that's why they all look and feel different. So when we visit them, none of you will feel comfortable because all other worlds survive on different energies then this one does."

"During all my years alive in this world I have never felt more of a calling than right at this moment. I simply can not wait to see what all of these other worlds have to offer a nobody like myself." He said and smiled with underlying killing intent.

"You have all the right reasons to be excited. You should know how few people get this opportunity. And especially a personal invitation from me." Esdeath said with arrogance and pride.

"I am truly honoured by my lady." He bowed to Esdeath to display how the small spark of interest had grown into excitement and full-blown loyalty towards Esdeath.

"I'm starting to get used to this fanatical loyalty surrounding me day in and day out. So feel free to keep the compliments going." Esdeath leaned back on her chair and grinned.

"As you wish, My Lady." The man in the nice suit said as his smile grew wider on his face.

-----

A few thousand miles away from Esdeath's warship was her island. Though this piece of land and the rest of this small area of the New World was officially controlled by the Tailed Emperor. The tailed pirates had been going around for a few weeks now and taken control over a bigger area of the sea.

The crew was especially aggressive against areas controlled by Big Mom and her children. And because of this escalation in aggression, Sengoku was getting more and more worried about a war breaking out.

On the island. All the Tails were gathered together with their divisions. The island wasn't empty any longer. Each week, more and more pirates and defected Marines were joining the ranks of Kurama. It was hard to believe it, but the crew just passed 20.000 members.

It was usually struggling pirates that joined a division in the crew itself. Or it was of the other kind, which was like the Rising Sun pirates. A pirate crew surrendering to the Tailed pirate's flag. Jackson was one of these people that took his entire loyal crew and joined Kurama as a subordinate crew ship.

Multiple islands around Esdeath's island was now considered Tailed pirate's territory. And because Kurama came out of nowhere, skirmishes happened daily with other crews working for the other Emperors.

Sabo, Magna, and Hanc.o.c.k were sitting inside the castle around the round table that Kurama put there. The table had nine chairs and they represented all the commanders that Kurama had for his crew. Some of them had not yet been recruited, but they would be eventually. Kurama doesn't take no for an answer.

"Are these real?" Hanc.o.c.k had stars in her eyes as she sat there and stared at a piece of paper. These small but in her eyes valuble pieces of paper had arrived just this day. Hanc.o.c.k was beyond herself about this.

"Why wouldn't they be? You never had one before?" Magna said and grinned. This wasn't his first-time so he was just sitting there with a laid back attitude and watched as Sabo and Hanc.o.c.k were freaking out.

"Why did Master get such a high one and I get not even half of that?" Hanc.o.c.k asked while waving her paper in the air. She was proud of herself. But this little piece of paper also served as proof that she wasn't even close to her Master in strength. And that annoyed her greatly.

"He broke into HQ and fought all those scary old dudes. And you only killed rookies and a few elites belonging to G-1. I think that bounty is more than you deserve." Sabo grinned and in a subtle way, he displayed his own bounty to her.

Killing intent started rising from Hanc.o.c.k as she glared at the blonde boy. "I'll kill you!" She said and stood up in a hurry. Sabo was well aware of how excited Hanc.o.c.k was of getting a bounty of her own. And when the bounties came and his bounty was higher than hers, she became visibly upset.

"Hey, I'm just the messenger, don't blame me! Blame the Marines." Sabo quickly defended himself and brought up his fists in a playful manner.

"You're right! We need to punish the Marines. Magna! We are going and destroying HQ again." Hanc.o.c.k said and prepared to storm out of the room.

"RIGHT ON!" Magna said and threw his hands up in the air.

"Sit down again. We are not attacking HQ!" Sabo said to the giant with an underdeveloped intellect.

"Got it, Boss!" For some reason, Magna was very strict with rules and hierarchy within an organization. So Sabo's young age didn't bother him at all. He always obeyed the highest-ranking person present in the room. And Sabo's rank was higher then Hanc.o.c.k's was.

"Whatever, I'm gonna go and play with the lava boy," Hanc.o.c.k said and stormed off towards the bas.e.m.e.nt in a hurry.

"Good riddance," Sabo whispered and sighed out loud to himself.
