Crap, I Was Rifted

Chapter 62 - Mortal Kombat Destroyed Timeline Part 7

Later that night the final round was to happen in Earth Realm. Surprisingly at the Shaolin Monastery of all places. Azul was bothered by it for a moment till he decide he didn't care and absorbed each spirit that came to bother him. He told them to leave alone and they refused. So he let Slannesh eat them. Adding some to his Nether World that he deemed worth it. However, the evil one were cleansed then eaten.

At one point Radiedn came over asking for help. Azul sent him away as he was still pissed at the Elder Gods' indifference and lack of not stopping King Jerrod. In the crowd, he saw a wrapped up Kitana. She recovered enough to move around as normal. She stayed close to her mother who barely spoke.

"Lin Kuei/Shinrai Ryu Sapphire v.s. Edenian Ambassador Jade."

"Wind and wind? Or is it energy. Nah doesn't matter." Azul looked to Sapphire who seemed nervous. "You OK?"

"No. I don't want to fight her. She helped me earlier in the forest against that freak over there." Sapphire pointed at a creature that was carrying a coffin. "I wish to surrender the fight."

"Hmm," Azul just stared for a moment. "That is a very poor reason to do so."

"Yeah, your not," Aurora said. "Get in there and beat that ass!"

"Tch no!" Sapphire stepped back. "She is my friend. I will not kill her. I can't kill her."

"Just beat her in the fight dumbass. It is not mandatory to kill them." Ruby added. "But totally worth it."

"What?! Really?!" Azul nodded at her. "Why didn't anyone say so?" Sapphire looked on incredulous.

"You never asked. I never said you had to kill anyone. It was up to you." Azul looked at her sideways. "I won't send a fighter in there so messed up in the head. Stay here now." Walking forward he talked to the referee. "I am using a sub in." The Elder God nodded.

"Who is going to fight now?" Aurora asked as she stared at her sister. "You and I are gonna have a long talk when we get back!" Her teeth were mashed as she snarled.

"I.. I.. Understand." Sapphire looked away towards the ground.

"I can fight in her stead," Amethyst said.

"No. You are injured so take it easy. Dont give me that look, I kept a check on everyone's health and injuries during the last few days." Azul said with no room for discussion. "Jaina your are up. Be careful of the reach of her staff."

"Very well." Jaina removed her cloak and stepped forward into the arena. She was dressed in a very modified Lin Kuei garb. The thing that really irked Azul was the heels. She insisted on wearing them. "Hello, child."

"Child... I am over 2000 years old." Jade said surprised.

"I am a few millennia old." Jaina summoned to orbs that floated behind her. Azul thought they looked familiar but left them alone.

"Lin Kuei/Shinrai Ryu Jaina v.s. Edenian Ambassador Jade, Fight!"

"Yah!" Jade thrust her staff forward. The speed escaping several people's senses. With a twist of her wrist, an airball shot out from the end.

"Hmph!" Jaina snorted. With her backhand, she knocked it into the air and away. "A slight tingle. Nothing more."

At first it was arrogance Azul thought. Then remembering her skills and experience, it was just confidence instead. Through the bond, he found out he was correct after focusing. Jaina was giving her full attention to the fight. A small portion to the surroundings and her health.

'She is very composed. The skills from Mileena's definitely suit her.' Azul left his thoughts to die as he focused on the fight and it's surroundings.

"My turn," Jaina said cooly after parrying a High kick to her side. The two orbs shot out hitting Jade in the legs.

"Oof!" She grunted as her feet were knocked from underneath. Facedown she placed her hands to hurry and push back up. "Hah!" With a feet of gymnastics, she was away at the edge of the ring.

"Where did she go?!" Jade looked around but didn't see her. Looking up Jaina was not there either.

"Right here." A voice said right next to her. Swinging to the side with a kick, Jade caught nothing." No over here." The voice said again. Jade turned to see no one there as well. "Sorry, I was behind you."

"What.. Mmmpff." Jade cried out. Jaina materialized from the wind behind her. Left hand at the base of Jades back. "Kuff!" A little blood was spat up, but mostly air. Jaina's right hand blocked her mouth and nose immediately after.

"Ssshh shh just relax," Jaina spoke to her as if she was a baby. "Go to sleep now." With a cast of a sleep spell, Jade's eyes dropped before she went out cold. She was held limply in Jaina's arms.

"Match over, winner Lin Kuei/Shinrai Ryu Jaina."

"Easy day," Jaina said as she floated to the others.

"Good work," Azul said.

"Yeah!" Sapphire nodded vigorously. The others chimed in afterward.

"Next round." The referee said as he stepped in. "Lin Kuei/Shinrai Ryu Torbin v.s. Edenian Revel."

'Have no idea who that is.' Azul thought.

"Let's do this!" Torbin excitedly ran into the ring. His opponent did the same.

"Can't give him Any advice mow!" Ashley said upset. She watched intently, hand to the side reaching for her pistol.

"Don't interfere," Kasumi said as she placed her hands on her. "If you jump In, he and you will both be killed. As well points will be deducted."

"Tch, this tournament is messed up," Ashley grumbled.

"It is the fate of whole realms. What do you expect?" Tifa asked. She was not trying to be mean, just putting things out there. "You rather everything goes honkey dorey? That helps nothing! Both sides live. Yay. It doesn't change the survivor that lost viewpoint. Especially if they were the deciding match that determined the enslavement of there realm." She leaned against Azul as he was helping sort through what she learned in her fight. Ahe learned a little from Shun but Azul just helped her better she said.

"She is right," Jaina said to Ashley. "A lot is at stake. But I understand your worry. Torbin will be fine." Jaina placed her hands on Ashley. She nudged her head towards Azul as she whispered, "that lunkhead won't let one of his die if he can help it."

"Right." Ashley smiled and relaxed.

"Fight!"

"Your pretty ugly dude," Torbin said as he started dancing on his feet. Seeing the creature not take the bait he stepped forward and sent a probing jab.

"Fwip!" His jab came out fast and precise. Whack," it hit the creature in the face. Bandages peeling off. That was not all that peeled. The top layer of rotting skin did as well.

"Raaawr," it launched forward at Torbin froze face. Pulling back it bit down on the side of his face.

"Rip," it pulled away a layer of his flesh. That woke him up.

"Ahhh!" Sending a front kick towards his c.h.e.s.t, Torbin was not ready for it to grab his ankle and step back. He was forced into a split. "Shit, that's smarts!"

"You taste good.. Human.." The creature spoke. With a twist, Torbin ankle snapped.

"Ugh," He g.r.o.a.n.e.d in pain. Reaching to his side, Torbin pulled his dagger free. "Eat this!" His other hand covered by him turning over.

"Fwish!" He threw the dagger at the creature's head. With a turn, it got away. Looking back it was surprised by the little balls thrown at its face. "Tick, tick, tick," They were little grenades.

"Kaboom," They blew up at the same time. The creature reeled back in pain. Finally letting his leg go.

"Aaaahhhh!" It screamed. It sounded it like a dying cat. Reaching for its face, it tried to keep the flesh from falling off. "My face! My beautiful face!"

"Beautiful... Yeah ok." Emerald said from the side. Her face was in a scowl. She did not like it's smell. "Rotting Corpse."

"Hup!" Torbin got out of his split and hopped on a single leg. With a clench of his fingers, the dagger returned. Flying right into his hand. "Time to finish you... finish.. you.." Torbin fell down out cold.

"We yield the fight." Azul said with no emotion in his voice. His hand outstretched as he pulled at Torbin.

"He is mine!" The creature yelled. It charges at Torbin.

"I don't think so!" Azul used Biotic Shielding mixed with his Mental Cleasning on the barrier. Pulling Torbin towards him, he felt his pulse diminishing as a toxin ran through his system. "Do not think weirdly of me Torbin."

"Chomp!" Azul bit down and used his Misty Fist to pulled the toxin towards him. A portion of his mind went towards curing the Organs already infected by it. And another was constantly casting curaja to save his face.

"Is he.." Ashley started to say before stopping. She gripped her hands tightly and was about to attack the creature that was smashing against the wall. "It is burning itself!"

"Penalty minus 3 points." The representatives said as he looked at Azul paying him no attention.

"Ugh, that was.. " Torbin looked at Azul by his neck. "Commander I am not into dudes. You pick a really wrong time to experiment." He received a glare as Azul kept working.

"Shut up idiot. He trying to to heal you." Ashley looked at the idiot smiling. If he was joking that means he was ok.

"Here Overlord," Cassandra said. She pulled a beaker out and handed it to him. Azul moved his hand and placed his finger inside it. A cut opened in his finger as a dark liquid went inside. In amateur of moments he stopped and pulled from Torbin. "That was a lot." Cassandra sealed it and put it in her bag.

"Yeah, it was." Azul then ran his magics over himself. He was fine but wanted to double-check himself. 'Esuna, Cure-all, Antipoison, Fullheal, Regeneration.' After casting each slowly he relaxed. "I was not experimenting guy!" He gave Torbin a shove with his foot.

"Haha right." Torbin rubbed his cheek a little embarrassed. "I feel tired but good."

"I think it best we send some to rest," Aurora said. Jaina and Kasumi nodded in agreeance. "What do you think?" She turned to Azul.

"Yeah, that will be fine. Stay safe." Azul gave a nod and looked to Ruby and Onyx. "You two are staying with me." They nodded happily.

"Azul, will you fight a recovery match?" The referee asked.

"Yeah, I will. No way you are getting way with that point deduction." Azul stepped into the ring quite angry. He felt an influx of biotic strands pour into him. "Send whoever you think will matter."

"Very well." The Elder God looked amused. "King Jerrod if you will. Also Reptile."

"Oh look a twofer for me." Azul smiled. Reaching down he attached his mouthguard. His demeanor taking a much sinister disposition. He released his devil powerfully. 'Adrenaline Rush, Focus, Bravery!' Casting each the power influx sent him on full cylinders.

"Final Round.. Fight!" The referee felt the power and jumped away. Just not fast enough.

"Rahh!" Azul used Yell! Reptile jumped to the rear. Jerrod took it in stride.

"Foolish!" Raising his hand, he fired a soul ball at Azul. He watched as it just dissipated into him.

"What?!" With a charge he flew at Azul Flippin into a leg press before making contact.

"Oomph!" Azul grunted. He didn't let the chance go to waste. He reached out quickly grabbing ahold of Jerrod's leg and slamming him into the ground.

"Uhuh!" Jerrod grunted from the pain. He twisted unnaturally into green mist. Reforming out of Azul's grip.

'He has Ermacs powers! But how?! Shao Khan never took over. He should never have gained this power. So when?' Azul looked on wide-eyed. It was a while since he had been so surprised by something. 'Damn it he kept this from all his people.' Turning he saw the horrified look of Kitana. Sindel's eyes looked wide but her face was frozen just as before. 'Kept it from them as well.'

"Surprised. You know nothing of my power!" Jerrod boasted. Raising his hands to the sky's he summoned several undead from the ground. Each infused with a wisp of a soul. "Rip him apart!" He commanded.

"Huh?" Azul looked at all the undead. "Mehh," wrapping them in magic he yanked the soul pieces out. "Your souls are mine!" He engulfed them instantly.

"Poof!" Having had there souls completely ripped out with no remorse, the bodies turned to dust and scattered In the wind.

"Kak!" Reptile fired some acid from its mouth towards Azul.

"Tch," it hit right against a biotic shield before dropping to the ground.

"Oh you are here still." Azul looked at the creature. He didn't want to fight it right now. He knew he would kill him. Despite not wanting to. 'Misty Fist!' Directing it towards his feet, he slid over and elbow him in the mouth. "Behave and you might live."

"Wham!" Reptile moved just a little to the side as his head started ringing. Not one to lie down, he turned and wrapped his tail around Azul. His right Claw coming forward in a slash.

"Rip," He caught only clothes as Azul turned sideways offering his back towards him. Jerrod had come down from the air with a SoulSword.

"Fool. Die for your disobedience!" Igniting it in green flame, the sword actualy caused Azul's blood to boil.

"Hah," with a simple exhale the flames went out. Azul had eaten them. They looked like flames but were souls instead. "Tasty." Jerrod looked on in horror as the sword turned to nothing as Azul pulled it towards him. "Neat treat."

What are you?!"

"Literally your weakness I am afraid." Azul shrugged. "You are going to have to rely truly on fighting me without those bits of aid." Sending a kick towards the man, he watched as his jaw shattered. "Oh wow your really old."

"Shut.. Up." Jerrod said as he stood on wobbly legs. His hair turned silver before falling out. "I can still defeat you!" Using a very powerful magic he pulled the souls of all the Edinians present towards himself. "I will defeat you!"

"Just wow!" Azul looked on shocked again before stepping away. All around the people started dropping like flys. All except Sindel and Kitana. Kitana turned and gave Azul a sad smile. Sindel sent out a biotic strand so strong Azul stepped back. With a push, he felt the psychic link open up. 'What is going on with him?'

'He was poisoned by a User. He was given all sorts of power to make sure he succeeded in taking over OutWorld and then Earth. Even a version of himself that I never wanted to see again.'

'How are you unfazed by his magic?' Azul asked. He figured she was a Pillar like Shepard.

'I am not. This medallion is protecting me from it.' Sindel pointed to her wrist. She started to remove before Azul stopped her by pulling her towards himself. 'What are you doing?!'

"You will see." Azul stabbed his hand into her c.h.e.s.t and pulled out her heart. His other hand pulled the pendant away. As soon as her soul left her body he absorbed it instantly. 'Ok now spill lady.'

Sindel was inside a small section of his Nether World. She felt at peace for some reason and was actually upset he interrupted her.

"Fine. This User pulled him a few years ago. Since then, Jerrod has been changing. More aggressive and started the process of chipping away at other Realms."

"Well Damn. How do I stop this and save your people?" Azul was not suprised since it had been going on for a few years. It would explain the destruction of the place.

"Just kill him!" Sindel said trying to end the conversation.

"What is wrong with you?!"

"Your soul feels so magnificent. This realm is amazing.I wish to stay here! Oh, save my daughter at once!" Sindel's eyes rolled in the back of her as she lost the ability to communicate.

"Tch," Azul focused back on the outside world. Just in time as Jerrod came charging at him with a giant soul hand. "Oh my god, this guy is just dumb." Drawing Slannesh he stabbed Jerrod in the c.h.e.s.t.

"AHHH!" Screaming bloody murder, Jerrod starting leaking out souls. They flew directly into Azul and Slannesh. In seconds it ended.

"Die!" Reptile yelled swinging a mace.

"Ha," Sighing Azul stepped into the attack and stabbed him the throat. "I really wanted to spare you."

With a turn the blade left the side of Reptiles face ending its life.

"Winner... Azul."

"Good job." Raiden floated down. The other Elder Gods watching intently. Right above Azul a medallion floated down. It had a dragon inscribed within. "With this Earth Realm will be secured."

System: Realm Shard Edenia acquired. You are currently the ruler.

Zelda: I will get to work at once on it. If Alita helps me.

Alita: Not a problem.

"Uh-huh." Azul started to put the medallion on but stopped and tucked into his vest. It was then placed in his inventory. "Bye-bye now."

"Wait!" Raiden called out.

"No. Have things to do. Injured to check on." Azul ran off towards the castle. With Ruby and Onyx right on his tail.

None of them noticed Riku had watched from a distance. She shook her head disgusted with Azul eating all the souls.

"So how goes everything?" Azul asked.

"Good," Aurora said. "Her and the others were already in regular clothing to enjoy the celebration." Torbin is doing fine. Everything checks out. The others are in there rooms."

"No sign of Mileena. She really is gone Azul." Kasumi said. She watched as Azul frowned and forced a smile. "How did it go?"

"Yeah, it went.. Oh Shit let me get rid of these souls first." Azul opened his Nether World and flushed the Eidinans out slowly. Sindel was the last to go with a very reluctant look. "Mass Teleport." Using his magic he pulled the bodies of that nearby and reinstated the souls.

"Oh pooh." Sindel said. She watched as her daughter walked over covered in bandages. Turning to Azul she pouted. "Please fix my daughter... Your Majesty."

"Haha very funny." Azul laughed drily. With a wave of his hand he healed her. But very slowly. "Now we finish up here and head home sort of."

"Umm I can stay right. I need to lead my people" Sindel asked. She stroked Kitana hair as her skin regenerated. "I will do a good job I swear!"

"Easy now. Of course you will." Jaina said coming out. "I have checked around She will be a fair ruler. Just need to leave some strong support for her."

"I will stay for a good while." Ruby said. "As will Sapphire to make up for her foolishness. After Aurora talks to her of course."

"That will do fine." Aurora rubbed her chin in thought. "Time here is a lot faster so it will not be an issue for the other places."

"So just need to bring more people in," Tifa said. "I think I will stay as well. After I go back for a bit."

"Think I will stay till you get set up for Warhammer," Ashley added in. "Torbin might as well stay here. Especially since he likes it so much."

"Alright." Azul nodded and they went about there business to busy themselves till later. A foreboding feeling growing in his c.h.e.s.t.
