Crap, I Was Rifted

Chapter 82 - Warhammer 30k-40k Prelude

Arriving in Warhammer 30k-40k things were not as they should have been. AzuI felt battered and beaten the moment he entered the body here. More than anything he was drained. The first thought that popped into his head was that he hope things would work out.

As if to taunt him, his mind pulled up a saying.

"Hope is the road to disappointment!" A quote that he heard all the time in the games and read in the books.

AzuI opened his eyes and saw a cell door. He was in a prison again. A far worse one than before. His body was not the same as last time. But the Emperor did say he would not take the role of a Primarch. Feeling the memories, a few of them of the one hear was just weird. He was an actual Eldar this time. The other Azul was separate from him and was actually on Terra with the others.

"Ugh shit this feels weird. What is with my body?" H

-Elsewhere-

"I will not abandon him as you have!" Yelled Mileuda. Her power burning bright hot. She pushed her finger down denting the table with each poke. "I obey Azul. My Convent obeys him. You can not intervene without his permission or stop unless in case of an emergency that would go against his wishes. Do you mean to tell me this is something he would want?" She questioned Galtea outright. The Operator paused and let things sink in.

"She has to have her reasons." Kat said. Outfitted in her armor, she was getting ready to take her Seraphim squads to get some work done.

Seraphim were only the very best Battle Sisters. They are able to join the ranks of the Seraphim, the elite warriors of the Orders Militant. Seraphim receive special training as fast devastating shock troopers. Tons of points were spent on getting them ready over the years. Azul had spent a lot of points and used a lot of mana to create them in his Nether World. The moment his soul arrived in a bigger capacity, something he set up with Alita took place. The points he just earned in Final Fantasy X were spent to acquire more personnel from the Sisterhood.

Kat's squad was heading to the planet's they were orbiting. Her task was to take over the planet from the wildlife quickly. All in preparation for the Tyrannid threat. Over the years they trained and prepared and only were able to make a few posts in the area. They had to evade the Dark Eldar patrols in the area. It was taking Azul and Jaina to long to gain control of the Craftworlds.

She acted as the Prioress. A Prioress is the overall leader of a single Convent of her Order. Mileuda did it with ease with the knowledge she had before. As well as the points she spent to gain more info and battle tactics. Her training as a Canoness was very usable.

Tietra sat to the side of Mileuda quiet. As well as Mileuda, she also had another role as someone who taught advance psychic principles. This was to always push out psychic temptation and battle against the Maledictum. A few honor guard stood behind them. These Sisters of battle were behind looking intently at Galtea. Two continued to look around at the others across from the table. None of them looked away from the screen in front. Tietra was anxious that much was clear.

On the other side, Cassandra watched amused. She was enjoying seeing Mileuda fl.u.s.tered. For a while, she thought the woman had lost all her emotions as she worked on things over the years.

"I plan on heading back to my world once my forces here are at a point they can function without me." Mileuda said. "They are exceeding well. Just a little more and they will be at the point that we need them to be to take over the entire Sector. Several of them already show the qualities of Superior leaders. I want my own World to be ready for when Azul heads back to it. A lot has to be done."

"Wait.. who will lead here then?" Alma asked. Her job here was just that as a spiritual leader. With all the training and doctrine. She helped those who had children keep a little balance. Basically a family counselor. But the children almost all grew up to join the rank and file of the Sisterhood. The male's were taught at different locations. But the families did stick together. They differed from regular Covenants and Legion's that way.

"At first it was to be you and Tietra. I realized you want to return home as well." Mileuda looked behind to the 10 sisters that stood behind her. "The Vorcha humans, and the created from Azul will take over instead. As well as the few Exogeni personnel to help of course. A total of 6 planets are ready for colonization. The points to keep them hidden will only last another year or so. With Azul now here, we can move forward with our plans."

"Well things are nice. That I can agree on. Me and the other Krogan are enjoying ourselves as human." Ruma said. She was a fairly tall muscular human now. With dark red hair. The female Krogan that were with her had about the same appearance. "Considering how they have decided to only be here and our Origin World, things are great."

"Well having their children not dying is a good motivator." Ashley said. "But Azul has perfected his cure for the Genophage to keep the still born's from happening. Tins all the time is not to bad right?"

"Correct. It is better than before." Ruma said. "However, we would like to have more still. Especially after the Reapers are dealt with. According to Azul, there are tons of planets further out for us to Terraform. But that is all in the future."

"Haa, I want him to hurry up with what he has to do for we can go somewhere." Mileuda said. She sort of slumped in her chair a bit. "Hmm but the fighting that will take place soon will have a lot of deaths. I want our forces to be ready."

"They will be fine." Kat said. "Anyway I am heading out. Try not to kill each other." She left with her Lieutenants following behind. 16 Lieutenants that were in charge of 60 sisters of battle each. "I still think before he leaves her to let him appoint A Cannoness to do some other work. A crusade of our own choosing into the area the Tyrannids are coming from. I nominated Tarist for it."

"Thunk!" The door closed behind Kat and her people. The woman Tarist was someone that was given a special Gene-Seed. It contained the genetic material of Lettie and every other woman Azul had bonded with. Tarist herself was a woman that look as if she hailed from Sweden. Pale skin that never seemed to tan. Striking blonde hair

"I have study various ways to help Ramza. It should work." Alma said. The World of Warhammer did tons to m.a.t.u.r.e the girl. But she still had the little bit of naivete.

"Glad you thought of that. I need to save my brother if I can." Tietra said. "I know she wants to as well. But what about Agrias? Mileuda dont you wish to save her?"

"Yes I do. But she is stubborn." Mileuda looked up at the screen. "Well? What have you found in your search?"

Galtea paused taking everything in. As for Lluvia she couldn't help but wonder why the connection broke to Azul. It lasted only a second. She was currently liked with him again. The one that was in the Eldar Gladiator prison. Lluvia was linked with the Azul on Terra.

"You love him dont you?" Everyone around Mileuda, stared at her. Galtea continued, "you spent your points on a vision between you two didn't you? What are you hiding girl?"

Mileuda's smile was that of someone at peace. "Yes I did. I only received a 1000 years with him. But it was enough for me to know some things. I know that following him was the right thing to do still. I plan on having him take my World when this is all said and done." She tapped the table a little. "He does not know it yet, but I will show him later when we head to Persona togethor." Mileuda revealed a Pull to them. It was golden in color with a touch of black inside. "This formed afterward. I cannot wait to show him."

Alma eyes went wide. "Please clarify what that means."

"Of course. As you know, The Users can take whole Worlds under their ownership. I am hoping he takes my own."

"What are you serious?" Alma asked shocked. "I honestly thought it was a joke of sorts."

"She is correct. But usually the User gains that information at level 20. It is around the time they start deciding for themselves how they wish to proceed. What they wish to change and Influence in the World itself. That is their purpose after all." Galtea said somberly to them. She then focus back on Mileuda. "Do you think Azul would want to do that this soon? That is not in his nature. Even with his d.e.s.i.r.es and power influencing him."

"I know this. However his d.e.s.i.r.e to help uplift humanity is there. He wants us better. Considering the threat that is capable of coming to all Worlds," Mileuda shook in somewhat fear, "he rather see us fighting tall, then dead and enslaved. With my World's level, that is what will happen to us."

"Our world level...." Tietra droned out. "I forgot about that." Leaning back she thought a little more herself. 'Maybe I should abandon that stupid quest after all? Fight with him wholeheartedly right now to get him stronger.' She steeples her fingers together to focus. 'No, I have come to far already. He will be fine since it is a quest after all The rewards will make him happy.' Tietra convinced herself it was the right thing. Mileuda ignored the quest after taking it. She did not agree with it much.

"It's value to the rest of existence." Galtea said drly. "Most Worlds have something special about it. It's appeal to the user's. The more they covet it, the more they think about it, the higher its value. The stronger it becomes. The harder it is to destroy it."

"Our world is low still?" Asked Alma.

"Yes and no. Your magic potential is sky high. Your technology is low. Very low at that. But it is improving with Azul doing basic changes. Especially since he started with the plumbing first. Something that people would respond to faster than say the adding of telephone poles and cars. Introducing low method of recycling made those involve think harder about the future. That was the biggest change for the application of Science for you all. Also why he completely supports the Lin Kuei group searching the "ruins" as adventures. The lost technology will help a lot in the changing future." Galtea said with a small smile. She looked at a screen and nodded towards Lluvia.

"Your people are in the middle. Your religion is in the middle. The over all view point of your people happens to be low. However, people like you, Mileuda and Tietra carry a power to change that. Even more so since Azul has shown his favor."

"His favour?" Alma asked.

"I can not tell you." Galtea said with finality. "Lluvia could tell you a little bit with out breaking any rules."

"How can she do that?" Alma asked.

"Because unlike her, I am certified in different aspects as an Operator. I get more leeway. The test we take give us additional information. It also the reason why Zelda is taking so long." Lluvia said. "She went back for additional certifications to allow for more information to be used. When she finishes, it will not take long for her to catch up. I am really excited to see that."

"What about none humans?" Ruma asked. "He has shown interest in some of our work and customs. But not overly so. Is it because he is human himself?"

"Yes and no. The changing of species affects a soul greatly. In Azul's case even more so because of his Pather Power. Taking in the feelings of the surroundings and others is quite dangerous. He needs an open mind while still having a strong soul." Galtea answered neutrally. "The majority of aliens have the advantage whether Technology or Genetically speaking. Azul is also a Xenophiliac. He wont go after you in that destructive kind of way. Unless you tried to wipe out humanity for being an inferior species. He would also try to wipe humans that think they should be the only thing in existence that stands on top."

"Yet he was a Cerebus operative before." Ashley said offhandley. Even through the holo screen her disdain was evident. The others in the room gave a frown at her. "Calling it as I see it. Even Shun thanks it was bad for him to be involved with them."

"She is right. I am against their extreme views. Especially with fitting his old personality." Shun added in. "Since I have traveled with the him here the longest, I have notice a cruel look in his eye when he kills certain people. The maniac glee of those who have given up gives me the creeps. Tiffany is the same way, both of them are exhibiting traits of Dark Cosmos wielders."

"I am keeping an eye on it." Lluvia said. "So is Alita."

"That is good. Did everything go ok in his transfer?" Ashley asked. "Is he ok?"

"He is. Slight adverse affects to the change as a Eldar. But that's mostly personal preference." Lluvia said. "Back to the other thing. Not all of Cerberus are purist. They are as about as much as the Asari, Turian are anyway."

"That is good. Hate to follow some kind of purist." Ashley said.

"The same for us." Tietra said. "The other World's that are like ours live with all manner of creatures. My home World only has monsters and demons. The culture change would be different for them. We also are primitive to other worlds. that is certain."

"Bah! That is just because our time frame." Milueda said in disgust. The idea of getting called inferior tick her off a little. "As long as he keeps his original deal with me, I do not mind fighting this bloody war over and over again. The promise he made to Agria is no different than my own."

"What deal?" Ruma asked.

"He agreed to help provide an education for my people. To you that may seem like nothing. But to us.. it means the world. With the offer he made, I will do what I can to help reshape my World. Even if it means drowning myself in blood. Everyone has a side. Just pick one and be done with it." Mileuda glowed with raw physic Renegade energy. "That is what Agria believed and so do I."

"The problem with lower Worlds is that right there." Galtea said pointing at her. "You live in the here and now and not the future." Shaking her head she was momentarily distressed. Something started to bug her. Old instincts rose to the forefront of her mind. Her eyes went wide. "You three... are different. Way different than what you should be. Even faster than last time." Scrolling through information only she could see, she gasped. "You have awakened stonger than before. He hasn't blocked your growth still!" Searching through the rest, she notice all of them had it. All the people that were "Pulled" anyway. Not the ones he created from the Nether World.

"What do you mean growth?" Alma asked.

"I mean you all can follow your own Path. This is dangerous. It means you all are capable of betraying him. You can ignore the loyalty implementation of the System. Someone disabled it." Alita looked actually worried. "This is a problem. It has been off since the beginning!"

"What does it mean?" Alma asked realizing this could go bad. She noticed that Mileuda and Tietra did not seem to care. 'They already knew this. But why does Galtea seem shocked? Shouldn't she already know something this would happen? Maybe she is a fake.' Alma looked around the room for a bit before stopping. 'I am just acting silly. No way that is not her.'

"It means free will." Mileuda said. "If we wanted to kill Azul we could. We are not like those who he comes across. He respects us enough to allow it. For that I am grateful. Considering what happens to those who try to kill him now, it is a blessing."

"Has anybody wanted to?" Alma asked intrigued.

"No. No traitors yet." Galtea said. "But the possibilities are endless. Clash of personality will cause it eventually. Why is it off?" She worked away at the keys. 'What I am doing could be consider a traitorous act. But.. it is for the best. Lluvia is growing at a fast pace. She can counter any of the problems I cause. As well as Zelda when she finishes. I should hurry her studies up to help her.'

"What is the benefit to it being off besides the normal?" Ashley asked.

"The closer you get to him in anyway, the stronger and more important you become. To him nothing really as he is now to weak to use that. He receives loyalty points for it." Finding what she wanted, Galtea collapsed in her seat. "The System did it.. it did itself with his permission."

"For good reason." A voice came from everywhere and nowhere. A man came out of the floor. It was the trickster. He opted coming out A Rift since it was personal business not work related. "Good evening ladies and few gentlemen. I am the Trickster. The p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e is all mine."

"Are you toying with him?" Mileuda asked. She read the reports about the man as well as Azul's personal view on a creature like him. The fact that he accurately guess the importance of an Avatar of the System was a little scary.

"No. I am also not testing him either. This was done to drag out the ones who have tampered with things. They have been arrested and are getting mentally siphoned currently." The Trickster said seriously. "We are not foolish enough to think this is over. But with the influx of Worlds opening up, we had to. To many places in the last month. The enemy will have there hands full as well. This works in our favor. As well as give a reason for a gift he will receive. If he had decided to help fully things could have gone smoother."

"What gift?" Lluvia asked finding her voice. "It better be a better one than last time."

"I can not tell you just yet. But I have some troubling news. Azul knows his Aeon's are dead. Or have died to be precise. He has also ignored himself dying in his World. Even though he agreed to live his life here now, it does not change the fact he ignoring it. Do bring it to his attention soon."

"What dead? That cant be!" Galtea accessed her terminal quickly to check. It showed Azul was still fine. But his baseline was deteriorating a little. His Synchro rate was rising. Looking at the reason why she frowned. It was the Spear he carried. He figured it out or had an inkling at what was happening with it. "Take a look." The others stared in shock at the screen that showed how much Azul believed in the version of him in certain World's.

"Do tread carefully. Azul is going to pop soon I think."The Trickster said smiling. "Last time he figured out he died during Mortal Kombat. With his real body gone, he knows this is his life now. It only took a few centuries for him to get use to it. The time in Zanarkand helped greatly actually." Looking at them once the Trickster added, "he still needs to deal with some things. Warhammer 30k-40k will bring up some things. The Warp will reach out to him due to some of your actions."

"How did he die?" Shun asked.

Trickster said no longer smiling. "A few years after his first arrival here. Natural causes mind you. Time kept moving onward unnaturally. The Users were suppose to be able to pick up their lives normally when leaving. However, that is not the case for him. It could be caused by his high Synchro rate or something else entirely. No matter it is done. His new life will come easy to him. The memories uploaded into him in Zanarkand by design should ease things. He just hasn't accessed them yet."

"You are smiling." Alma said to Mileuda. "Why is that?"

"Because he mentioned something like that before to me once. It doesn't matter now. I just want to see him. Make sure he is really alive so to speak." Mileuda smile became strained as she realized they still needed to get back in touch with Azul. "We are wasting time."

"Be at ease. He will not die there. Not yet as far as I saw." Trickster said. "A word of caution for all of you. What you believe is random is not the same for a User. His Devil power is about to grow exponentially as well as his power as a Pather. Alita the next you two meet, his Dragon Power will have grown exponentially. I am proud of you for that." With the drop of his hat, he was gone.

"Are you just going to sit there dazed or actually do something!" Mileuda yelled at Galtea.

"I am just.. just give.. me a moment." Galtea was searching using her own abilities. Then the connection came back and her body tingled as she felt the aftershocks. "He is fine. But... the amount of killing he has done.. the Eldar offered him up to the Dark Eldar." A single tear fell from her cheek. "Warhammer is a disastrous place. No wonder no one laid claim to it."

"Did you say no one?" Alma asked. "What happened the last time for everyone?"

"Yes. Not one User has ever done so. At most, they have conquered a single Sector before it was lost. Most Operators only go there when a desperate need of growth and resources is needed." Lluvia scanned through some files. "It never ends well for anyone. I am happy he hasn't changed yet."

Seeing the reading from the influence of Chaos influence, she sent a message to Dyshana to remain vigilant. Lluvia left from the body of her Avatar Maldova. The Asari just shook her head once from the abrupt separation.

"Should we be worried?" Shun asked sitting down after he checked over some readings. He looked outside a window in terror and felt a weird storm was brewing. "What is this place total population?" Checking against the findings he shuddered. Mass Effect was a drop in a bucket compared to it. "What have I gotten myself into..."

"The same thing the rest of us got into." Ruma said finally speaking again. "This place is perfect for my clan. I need to get him to go and crush who ever gets in the way. Take over these Craftworlds and the Sector." Ruma body glowed with power. Her red hair flutter with excitement. "Take us there! My troops are ready. They will gladly kill for an endless war!"

"Do you like war that much?" Emerald asked. The screen scrystal screen flickered a little. Behind her were a few Eldar Warlocks that Azul gave to her for protection. As an Eldar she did quite well. The same as her sisters. But Jaina was by far the strongest. Only one to match her was Aurora (Hotshot) and Ruby in martial prowess. "We are doing our best to get to him."

"About as much as Asari enjoy deceit." Ruma bristled at her. She then turned to Maldova. "When are you gonna tell him and the rest of the crew? Chari already spends time with him as it is. What will you do if they become lovers before you?"

"Be happy for her." Maldova shrugged her shoulders. "I am old enough to get over it. Besides, I think I rather wait to "Lluvia" decides what she wants to do."

"But do you want to? That is the question I have next." Ruma moved over to get in front of her. "You painted a target on his back when you spoke to the Council. Even if you didn't say anything beside what was agreed upon, it wont stop them from prying using other channels."

"I know that. He knows that. That's why we make our move when he gets back." Maldova said staring back at her long time friend. She then looked to Galtea. "He will be ready wont he?"

"If he survives that process then yes.. I believe he will. We will make our move against Shepard and take the others he hasn't gotten." Galtea said grimacing at the screen. "The more "Pillars" we have on our side, the better."

"As long as Jane does not want them." Mileuda added. "Remember Azul said she is a good friend. As well as the one called Swift."

"Yes I know already." Alita added in. "Just wish he took everything himself. Sometimes acting greedy helps." Alita stopped her work and excused herself. "I am heading to Magic the Gathering. He wants to keep preparing before everything happens, so I will assist everyone who is there more."

"Bwoom." She Rifted out instantly.

"She cares a little to much about that place." Galtea said. "I have a bad feeling about it."

"Do not jinx it." Mileuda said. "When there is calm period, send him to me in Persona. I think it will help before the plan you all have unfolds."

"That will work." Galtea said. She tapped the screen and made a note. "Shun best of luck on Terra. It is up to you to make sure he does not fail."

"Hey what am I, chopped liver?" Ashley asked.

"Chush!" The door opened and in walked the others.

"No you are not. However this is hat I was pulled for." Shun said. "I will do my part do not worry."

"Do not worry we have your back." Bishop said. Next to him Torbin was dressed in Astartes armor as well. "The new upgrades took some time to get use to."

"Everyone ready?" Azul asked. They gave him a nod. "Good, we need to head under Terra to tak care of a mutant threat and Chaos cult that has formed up. So easy stuff right."

"Better than the prison cell the other you is in." Tiffany said. "F.u.c.k.i.n.g Eldar, you should pull your forces out and glass the place."

"Hahaha you like glassing places to much. It will be fine trust the others." Azul said. He placed his armor on his head and synched up with the rest. Walking out of the place, they regrouped with the other Astartes that he created to deal with the "problem" down below. The Emperor of Mankind was to busy to talk apparently. This pissed Azul off. But not much he could do since they were on Terra with countless supporters of the Emperor here. But they would have words and soon. "John is going to get a good earful later."

"You really need to stop calling the Emperor by that name." Ashley said. "It makes a lot of people uncomfortable. They already do not like how close you are with him. As well that Primarch of him. You have to much sway and that breeds hatred and animosity."

"They can shove it where the sun does not shine." Torbin added. "You need to stop drinking the koolaid and rember who we are."

"Chish!" Getting into the transport everyone strapped in. "Vroom, vroom." The grav engines came to life and lifed the transports up. 20 transports went down below. Not all would come back.

-Above at A monastery-

"Are you sure about this?" An adviser asked the Emperor of Mankind. The Emperor, Adviser, Horus, and another Primarch that did not originally survive watched the transport go down below. "It is not to late."

"It will be fine." The Emperor said. "The clone of me knows what it is doing. As he put it "John" will answer for he has put in motion." Turning he looked at Horus. "Go to the fleet and lead a spearhead to your brother's location. Angron must be saved or things will unfurl outside of our expectations."

"And what of the Tyrannid infestation we were warned about. What to do with them and these "Sisters of Battle" that work in that area?" Horus asked.

"Do nothing." The Emperor said flatly. "They are not part of the Imperium and never will be." He walked past the others and headed inside. "Azul will do what he must for humanity, and so will I."

"As you command father." Horus bowed his head. A sick feeling formed in the pit of his stomach. 'Why does this feel wrong? It feels as if the World is changing in a way I can not predict.'

Horus thoughts were not wrong. Unknown to him several people had spent points to change things in the World. One to keep him from falling to Chaos. Another to keep Magnus interest elsewhere and incluing him in the Webway project. Last to keep the Emperor from getting mortally wounded and to keep several of the pods from falling into Chaos hands and dying.

The Will of the World was trying to reconnect things but was unable to. The changes were to drastic with other User's doing things in different sectors. Warhammer 30k-40k was in for a terrible conflict that would rip the Galaxy apart faster than normal.
