Crap, I Was Rifted

Chapter 88 - Warhammer 30k-40k Part 7 Companions and the begging of Battle

"Why are your emotions so separated? With your psychic and magic potential, they should not be like this.' Hilda sounded horrified about this. 'But you are functioning still. So you did this intentionally?'

"I do not know what you are talking about." Azul stated. "Wait, you are in my mindscape. It is fine right? Unless I messed up somewhere. No, it should be fine..."

"Can you not enter you mindscape?"

"Mindscape?" Azul had to think for a moment. "Yes, hold a second." AzuI entered via Lin Kuei mediation. He then appeared in front of Hilda. "So what were you saying?"

"This!" Hilda pointed around. All before them were statues of Azul. Various poses of expressions. Words are written on the base of each of them. The only thing weird he found about them, they were encased in chains. Purple pink chains and whitish-blue ones. Some more than others. "Why are you so repressed and restrained?" The sight of a red-green chair caught her eye next. "Da hell is this?"

The Black Statue transported itself to the location next. Trying to harmonize with them. It did not work. Dyshana may not be suppressing it directly at the moment, but her power still kept it in check.

System: Anomaly stopped.

"I know what this is. It is my emotional and mental state in flux. It was fixed by the System but I guess more problems can arrive." Azul nodded back and forth on the balls of his feet. "Makes sense from the changes my mine would be in turmoil. Especially after that bout in the flames again. I also still need to Fight Khaine later."

"Wait! Let me help you. I wish to earn my keep. This is an area of my expertise." Hilda looked at Azul quite happy. The biotic strands allowed him to know she was desperate. Desperate to prove herself. "You let Zelda take care of it last time. I can do it this time no problem."

Looking closer, he noticed Hilda had been remade into a Rune Eldar. Her purple hair looked even more beautiful than he ever imagined. A few djinns had floated down and attached themselves to her. A fire, light, and dark one. They sent Azul biotic strands to inform him of her. She was trustworthy. But needed to be vetted even furthur by him still.

"I forgot about your previous incident just that quickly. Sorry about that, was kind of busy. Glad the fire didnt hurt you. Wait it didn't hurt you did it?" AzuI needed to pay attention to his companions more.

"Not at all. I actually became stronger. Also had my mind cleared a little. Also this statue appeared afterward." Hilda pointed at a statue furthur in. It was one of Azul but well in a mediation pose of sorts. The base read Insight. "This should not have been unknown for a magic user. Your teacher must have taught a different way. A natural understanding most likely."

"That is correct. So is this something that needs to be corrected." AzuI said cheerfully as he waved around both of his hands. "I have control already."

"Yes and no. Having gone through this once before the problems are minimal at best. The practice aging this will give me furthur insights into you. As well as the others you have that help do this. From what I remember, the Thessia sisters in Fire Emblem are all Heron's and help your soul peacefully." Hilda just stared at him. "It will give you better control of yourself later on with me guiding a few darker things. Emotional strength that powers magic way more than what you previously were taught. That is guaranteed. Control equals power. Which you desperately need."

"Great how do we start?" Azul asked convinced. The last sentence bugged him a little. A slight prickling in his gut saying something more might head his way. 'Guess she is really good at what she does. I should increase my preparations. I rather be over-prepared than under.'

"We find the easiest one to release. Usually, things we enjoy expressing. For me, it was courage and sympathy. I dont think that will work for you." Hilda smiled. Closing her eyes she sent out a wave of magical energy. "Found the perfect ones. Follow me."

Following along they came across some giant statues. They were glowing visibly to the eye. Walking around Hilda who stopped, Azul saw the look in her eyes. She was scared.

"Well that cant be good. Ok spill."

"Right." Hilda walked over and stopped at the first one. "This is your Jealousy and Envy. It is one statue. It should be two considering...."

"Considering what?" Azul thought about what it was last time. "L.u.s.t and Wrath are in the black statue instead."

"Your Dragon and Devil power." Looking around, she noticed a lot of the statues were a fusion of two. "Your emotional state is really abnormal. Even though it was fixed. Maybe it is your Pather power causing trouble for you?"

Placing her hand on the statue, AzuI watched as her hand went inside. He immediately rembered a memory. A recent one at that.

It was the fight against that blasted sea creature in Final Fantasy 10. Placing her hand deeper inside he felt a shift. The next was the fight against Kintaro. Another shift brought them to Feros. The firefight in the mines. As if she felt ill, Hilda pulled her hand out. Steeling herself she pushed it back inside. The fighting Azul did in the tutorial popped up next.

"Ugh," She m.o.a.n.e.d falling back a little. With a stretch of mental energy he held her up. "Thank you." As she caught her bearings they watched as the chains broke away.

"That should have not happened. How old are you Master?" Hilda was intrigued and grabbed Azul by the arms checking him over. Her feet moved on the ground sending a pulse throughout the Nether World at the same time. 'His connection to this place is growing stronger. It will not be long till he can ignore the Rift laws outright with this place. I need to slow it down and strengthen the borders for him. But how to bring it up? Hmm maybe let go naturally. I will let fate be and prep instead. He has enough people pushing his strength anyway. Ehhhh Slaanesh is spreading greed in him more. But why?'

"Physically I dont keep up really. Since the bodies tend to have different ages. However, my primary soul is about a few millennia old. This soul in front of you. I didnt send that info to you earlier?" Azul then thought about a few ways to get her prepared for some things. A biotic strand entered letting him know how dedicated she was to making sure the place was safe. 'Hmm, I need to give a little more leeway. She is not Zelda.'

"I have not gone through it all yet. I went after what I thought was important. The type of person you were. But this will help as well." Hilda said to him as she stood up straight. "I can work on freeing these. It will help your emotion and your mind link up more… correctly. In case the System tries to out to some kind of test later, you won't have stressed this part."

"Alright." Azul said looking around. Then back to her. "Get to it at your convenience."

"Thank you." Hilda nodded her head and then walked to the next biggest statue. The strangest thing was that there was a crack in the middle of it. "Do not resist this lady or you will regret it." Her smile gave Azul the shivers. But in a good way.

Placing her hand into it, there was a strong glow of psychic magic. With a strong push of her hands, she could move and tamper with what was inside. AzuI saw images of himself but this was him in Street Fighter.

He never actually went but the various him's that were there. Engaged in various acts of s.e.x and violence. Azul swears they f.u.c.k.e.d all day it felt like. And fought all night in underground matches. He had a strong urge to go and fight Seth for some reason. But he was not with Rose in this one. He was with Chun-Li in a set. In the other he was with a mysterious woman that used a weird art. Something was very odd by the way the two acted with each other.

Pulling her hands out, Hilda looked at Azul red-faced with an actual bloody nose from excitement. She licked her lips sensuously and gave him a wink. Defintely not Zelda.

The chains broke off and Azul felt horny immediately after. Looking down at the base he saw the words. Responsibility and devotion. Then he thought about it, the last time he had engaged in s.e.x.u.a.l activity personally was with to long ago.

"Haven't actually had s.e.x since before X. Or I did and forgot. Maybe I should take things a little slower in that department?" Azul pondered out loud. Hilda had grabbed hold of him and helped calm him down some more. She was a lot better in the physical aspect than Zelda apparently. "That was before Zanarkand. I hadn't done anything s.e.x.u.a.l for close to a 1000 years..."

Azul felt Slaanesh react to that. He/she power grew exponentially crazy. Also felt a bond with it change, stronger then before. But it was reaching out to someone. Someone in Azul's actual Companions, but he couldnt tell who at the time.

"Better?" Hilda asked. Azul gave her a nod and she let him go. "I wouldn't worry about Zelda to much. She will come around. Just let her work through things like you do everyone else. Then confront after it gets to weird."

"Thanks." Azul smirked before leaving her to work.

Exiting back, AzuI watched the foyer. I didnt really care right now. We were leaving post haste. The Eldar wanted to work on leaving. They did not want to fight against the Tyrannids. I didnt argue as I told them good luck and left. I took some armor and weapons and all the tanks they had were already in my inventory.

"Ah, fresh air! Azul said to the sky. The Rune Eldar around him laughed. We headed to our vehicle to leave. Bit stopped when the gate opened.

"Bwoom, bwoom, bwoom!" Several Eldar came out. Not even 3/100 of the forces but some nonetheless.

A squad of Swooping Hawks leads by an Autarch. A full guardian squad. And a heavy weapons team.

The Autarch walked up to him and removed his helmet. He knew who the Eldar was from the memories. Soba was his name. He was a very no-nonsense kind of guy.

"Greetings old friend." Soba said in a salute. "We will come with you and serve as needed. Is that acceptable?"

"Of course. We have room on board. Better yet hold on." Azul opened his inventory and pulled out another grav tank. To them, it looked like he made a tear in warp space. "Here for you guys. Let's go." His face was priceless as they headed to meet up with the others back at the makeshift base. The ruins of that city.

The Thessia sisters slept peacefully behind him. Azul could feel the worry but the happiness they exuded. Even though they were not in Mass Effect right now, they were happy to move freely without the threat of the stigma they carried.

Arriving, Azul was informed that Angron had found some more forces and Jaina was able to convince some p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e Cult Eldar to come with her.

Remembering she had to act as a diplomat at one point in Warcraft, it made sense. Azul's personal memories from his time on my earth had definitely become stronger since he fused with old man him. No longer foggy like a distance past movie. Then again, considering the other information he now had in the noggin, several things made sense.

Lluvia: Spells from Growlanser are now incorporated into most Rune Eldar. Dragon and Devil power have been increased. Troops are almost here. Bai Han is on standby preparing.

'Thanks for the update.' AzuI said through the link calmly. 'So what are the statues inside me doing this time?'

Lluvia: Can honestly say that is something different is happening. I will pull all the information I can on it. However, I think that is something your current level cannot handle. But it is related to your Pather Power precisely.

'Well, what did I need to do to be able to handle it last time?' Azul scratched his chin against a phantom itch. He didnt react to Emerald walking up behind him. She then propped herself into his back. "Hey, there sleepy head." Azul grabbed her hands and kissed them. She did nothing but relax into him completely. Falling right back to sleep. "Heh, ok."

Lluvia: Gain levels. So far you are hindered by your level restraining your body keeping it in check. After this and the other nonsense that we had to deal with, I think you will hit a great level. Which will then open the door for more functions. I will be offline to help with the difficulty level to drop even more so.

Lluvia: Remember whatever happens it is to make sure you gain enough strength. When this over, we will have a lot to talk about. My job as your Operator must come first for now.

'Alright do what you must.' Azul felt his body tense up. Her words were distant somehow. He sent a message to Alita to find out what was going on. He opened his eyes to a strange sight. The Rune Eldar were all nearby sitting, waiting.

Connecting his psychic power to them, he started to show them imagines of the Tyrannids. The fighting that he knew and what he read. To each of them, this was a blessing. The tactics employed would be a great help for the future. When AzuI finished, they were to tell the others about ways to combat the menace.

"Go and do what you can. Spend time with your family in the coming hours." Watching them nod in understanding, Azul started to formulate a plan for the upcoming battle. Jaina came in with the Autarch "What is it?"

"Have you thought of more plans to do? Or are you fresh out?" Jaina asked. She looked at the Thessia sisters near him. 'The protection level is dangerous. They must know what is planned. Or they are keeping an eye out for assassination attempts.'

"A few. The others are laying down an inscription were I believe they will be. It will help with doing some damage to them quickly." Azul looked at her and waited to see what she was going to do next. 'Hilda and Zelda had pulled all the information from last time. Ruma sent over the I formation she rembered. Each extremely dangerous zone has been prepped and prepped again.'

"Very well then. Also, I was told you had something for me?" Jaina asked.

"Yes. Here." Reaching into his inventory, AzuI passed on the other items he had for her. Just small things and whatnot. The biggest was the Warjack. One of the other things he had passed on, was how to pilot it.

"I have some studying to do myself. So I hope you control these better." She passed the control over to a few behind her.

"Also be careful in the battle. Daemons can mess with your head a little.." Azul started to say before she waved him off. "I know I know. Just a little worried. In case ya know?" He gave a shrug at the end.

"Yes I am aware." Jaina forced a smile out. She then left. 'At least he is trusting me to do this myself. Just worry a little bit more. Not bad having such a worrisome friend. He is not even spying on me. things are looking better.' Jaina smiled turned real as she thought about the few things she needed to take care of back in World Of Warcraft.

Azul felt a small knot in his c.h.e.s.t for some reason. Something was off, but he didnt know what. Switching back into a deeper meditation, he switched around to various Worlds. His mind divided deeper towards the him in Final Fantasy X.

-Final Fantasy X-

"Hmm?" Anima said as she looked at him. "It is you again my Summoner. You need to stop popping in like that. You will give me a heart attack."

"Sorry about that. I just needed to see you are ok. All of you anyway. Just more indebt is all. How is everyone?" Azul said as he looked around. There was no one nearby but him and her.

"They are in another temple doing trial that Riku recommended. I am out hunting with the other you. Sapphire is with them in the temple." Anima moved closer and hugged him. "You are worried. Why? We are strong and very powerful. Trust us."

"I do.. just things are just a little scary right now." Azul stared Anima up and down. He noticed her clothes had a lot of cuts on them. Looking around he could tell the fight was intense. "What have you been fighting?" Then it hit him. She was fighting the other him. Sparring while they killed monsters. A very effective way to fight considering he didnt know when she would try to strike him most times.

Anima smiled at him. "You are getting better at this. I am happy my Summoner. I have a question." Seeing Azul shake his head yes, she continued. "If my personality changed, would it be that big of a deal?"

"A small change no. A big change I would question." Azul grabbed her and held her tighter. A quick check from his power over her, nothing was amiss. "Everything seems fine. Is something the matter?"

"No! I just want to be stronger. That way I can can go to the more dangerous places with you." Anima said a little heated. "Azul, I received a good reward earlier. I wish to use it, but was unsure."

"Just dont change to much that you forget your friends and the current you. Be happy Anima." Azul gave her a kiss as she pulled back and stared him down. Eyes glowing with death magic.

"Mmh good. Time for fun when we get back yes?" Anima asked. Azul gave her a simple nod. "Good I look forward to it. I also miss the others. Go away now my Summoner. Next, we meet, I will be stronger and different. You can count on it."

"I look forward to it." Stepping back he faded back to Warhammer. Azul thought about going to tactics, but his Operators said next time he goes there, something important was gonna happen. So he passed. AzuI decided to just focus on the here and now.

-Begging of the Fighting-

"We cant fight all of that!" Bai Han said. "This is more than I thought it would be. I attack from the shadows, not frontal war front."

"At least there aren't any Genestealers. Thank life for small favors." AzuI said to them. "Regret coming here yet?"

''Absolutely, completely and truly." Bai Han never looked away from the Tyrannid menace. The large mass in the sky causing a sense of dread.

Rayna had arrived with a few others. She just couldnt stay back anymore. She did not send a part of her soul. She came with her full self intact. She had power and wanted fight to her heart's content to gain more.

D'Vorra had brought a few others with her. They were created from her doing missions in Mass Effect. A few men and women with her DNA inside. Each completely linked to her as the leader of the hive. Minds bolstered three times over to resist the call of the Hive Fleet up above.

"I wish I had a giant mech to fight with. Or a small one like Jaina has." Rayna looked over at the Warjack Jaina had under her control. The envy was plain on her face. Seeing the other Warjacks sent her into a full on fit. "I need to get out more!"

"Take a good luck at it. It most likely won't look like that after this battle." Azul said quietly. He walked over to her and grabbed her hands. "This should get rid of your jealousy. But make sure you take good care of it."

"Doop!" A mech dropped from a Rift. To precise, a wanzer from Front Mission 4 did. Azul purchased it from the shop using the points earned from fighting against Korhil.

"The tech is special. So make sure you do not leave it behind." Azul told herm Rayna nodded quickly before running to jump inside. 'A combination of Reaper, Mass Effect, and Super Robot Taisen technology. Hopefully, it stays in one piece.' Rayna couldnt speak with how excited she was. She was already linking it to her Omni-tool and working on changing any problem she came across.

Looking to the back group, Azul gave the order. "Fire at will. Dont stop till the crystal matrixes are in the red!"

"Shouldn't we conserve some of it?" A Rune Eldar asked.

"No point. If they make it into our lines, we are done for. Several squads are still en route to help us still. With the sheer number difference we won't make it, unless we whittle them down." Azul shook his head as he watch the endless amount dropdown closer. 'We had to send the others to go to key areas. I am glad Angron was able to devise that strategy for the problem Ruma faced last time.'

The psykers had barriers to deflect any drop ends back into the distance. Only a few would be of use to attack. Azul had a spell set up outside for those pushed out. A wall to make them fight to get through to them.

Once the wave stopped coming or he had no choice, Azul would activate his next spell to burn large groups of them. Another one to send them flying into the air for the shooters to take out. The third one was set for after mana was earned from killing. Azul would create a bunch of level 1 Rune Eldar to fight. The current ones would go out to engage in melee, while the new ones would operate the platform weapons and tanks. All to gain levels quickly to help fight more effectively.

"This is slightly a problem." AzuI said to Bai Han who stared. "Absolute Water Rain!" AzuI channeled the spell he was casting for the last hour. With the help of the Thessia sisters, he was able to reach furthur than he realized with the energy range across the outer areas.

All across the sky he created little needles of physic water. Raising Slannesh up above, he focused some of his power as well. The needles became bigger. SO big the distance didnt matter, you would see them no matter what. They would shatter upon impact to do the most damage.

Aurora stepped forward in her white Rune Armor. "Chish!" The breathing attachment vented. She and a group of psykers with their raised hands up, prepared another assault. "Bzzzt!" Electricity formed as they waited for the needles to hit before firing.

Emerald and Amethyst had prepared a set of stone spikes. Inside they were hollowed out and filled with warp waste that they experimented with. Something Amethesyt had cooked up over the years she waited for her. She was a scientist that enjoyed the... darker arts. Azul could feel a slight pull on her psyche as she reached out to him to check on a new mixture reaction.

'You are good. I think it will work find.' Azul thought to her. He felt the connection grow even stronger with her the more they talked about science. 'We just need to make sure our forces do not suffer from it.'

'I know. I think I have something for anyone that mutates.' She gave a mental smile and looked back up as Azul fired.

"Ting, ting, ting is all that could be heard across the sky. A 1/4 radius of needles tore through things then shattering in a large crescendo.

"Pew!" All large range snipers fired at once towards the deepest part of the fleet. Inside the rounds, were satelite beacons. It broke through the mass and caught the image of the Hive fleet. The numbers were better than the estimates suggested.

"Bzzzt!" A giant arc of lighting appeared from Aurora's hands that danced in the air uncontrollably. The rest of the warlocks fired next. Their shots were precise but smaller. There targets were the giant spore pods that were descending.

"Detonated the moons in orbit!" Azul ordered. Instantly the three orbiting rocks blew up in space. The pieces heading straight towards the planet. "Think the heavens for Teleportation magic."

All areas with the population were finely shielded. THe good news, the Tyrannids would take a massive amount of damage from the attack. The bad news, Azul would have to buy some new moons.

This lasted for only two minutes before a giant pod unobstructed came down. It was about the size of the empire state building! It was covered in a black fog that stopped the psyker attacks on contact.

Seeing that he ordered everyone to stop the assault at that mass. The new ammo they prepared was unable to do anything against it. Formations were change to brace for impact and fall back and readjust.

"Thud!" The chitinous building landed in the distance. A wave of black smoke started to head towards the army. It travelled much faster than the formations could hold against.

"Drop the quick formations!" Aurora ordered the psykers. "Switch to solid defense!" Instantly the Rune Eldar stomped their feet. Large stone domes formed up. Then metallic blast walls appeared next in key locations.

"Azul felt the tingle of something else. A very large creature dropped next. Something new to the battle.

"Damn! Brace for impact. Redirecting the remainder of the spell from above, AzuI pulled it down to help with the next spell. "Water Veil!" The aquatic membrane formed and spread out in an instant. He could feel Slaanesh pump physic energy into him.

Then he felt the warlocks send some his way as well. Bit by bit a strange energy left the gladiators and the civilians and headed my way. A notice popped out that he ignored. He couldn't afford the distraction.

Azul's Pather Power took in a large amount of Biotic Strands to help funnel the energy and increased the defense of the veil. When the smog made contact, he could feel a type of contagion inside it. If this would have hit the troops, they would have had a shorter battle. To much lag added to their movements.

"Mental Cleansing!" AzuI said as he braced his feet. The energy added to the water veil helping buffing everyone.

'Enemies approaching!' Bass said. Hee was connected to several transmitters across the battlefield and sent Azul the info that he would need to help with triggering traps. 'A wave has made it past the first perimeter. All the creatures match the description of Termagants.'

"All long-range units prepare to open fire!" Azul said as he pushed the Water Veil back against the enemy. He wanted to weave it into a spell but it was better to help wash off any of the contagions they may have carried. 'Zelda your up.' She stepped out of his shadow.

With her arms outstretched as she performed a High-level spell, she turned all the energy she had into some type of Frozen Zone. She pulled all the heat from the area towards herself. With Azul close by, he shielded everyone from the heat by standing right behind her. to help transfer it It was heat created from his energy now, so it returned to him. Just painfully at first. The first wave of enemies Froze in place instantly.

System: Willpower Check 35 Pass

"Fire at will!" Bai-Han said considering. Several Lin Kuei members took control of the ice and weaved it into projectiles. "Strike team 3-5 go!" Several members of Rune Eldar and human shot off. Emerald created some mist with the use of her wind abilities. Obscured from sight, the teams would strike deadly and try to cripple the enemy. The rangers would fire sniper rounds as best they could.

"Release!" The Rune Eldar launched the remainder of the stone traps into the air. They pushed it as high as they could before detonating it in one go. Warp Energy blanketed up above and mixed with the clouds. Waves of Tyrannids came through but paid for it. The bodies came in melted and deformed.

"Crreee!" An entire flock of gargoyles lost their wings. Spiraling straight down, they were slim pickings for the barrage of fire.

Zelda's body started to tremble in front of everyone. She took a deep breath and blasted the Lin Kuei and others with a quick regen spell and provided a boost to their speed and flexibity.

'That is enough! Return now Zelda!" AzuI yelled at the woman. She reluctantly agreed and stepped into his shadow. Azul's biotic strands felt the exhaustion she had acc.u.mulated just that quickly.

Her body was fine, but her spirit was a little weakened. She had sent an attack up high to thin the Hive Fleet herself with an explosion. It worked but strained her a lot.

AzuI looked to the firing squads. The guns he provided did its work, as well as the ones from the Craftworld. The cross combination of Mass Effect Shredder, and Inferno ammo made work of the chitin like armor. Even more reason none of the Tyrannids could be allowed to escape. The ability to negate that type of ammo or make resistance to it , was a risk he was not willing to take.

-Second Wave-

8 minutes. That's how long it took to mow the first wave down. Next wave came out twice as big. With Myoptic spores mixed inside. The floating little creatures of dumb were fired at on sight.

AzuI looked up and behind them. 'Bass, have the Arwings, and the F-62 Trident fighters to make a strafing run. As well as have the one with the best shields go through and get data on what the enemies have this time. The cameras were already taken out by them. The black smoke may be gone, but the dust and sand has obscured vision a little.'

'Understood.' Bass chimed at him. In less than two minutes, Azul watched as the fighters shot past in the sky. They fired long-range missiles into the area blasting away everything their paths. The laser fire charging up before hitting deeper into the enemy ranks next.

Then he heard it. A sound he wished to never here again. The ground shook as the air cleared revealing a Mawloc coming out of the ground. The fighters doged with ease, but something was wrong. Another Mawlock appeared from the ground faster than the scanners could detect.

It caught one Arwing by the wing. The only good news, was that the sh.i.p.s could still fly. They released the bombs they had before pulling up and yanking towards the party. Upward they fired the turbo lasers into the sky wildly.

One Arwing wasn't to lucky. The Mawloc had devoured him after firing acid at another one and missing. Despite its size, the creature had ridiculous agility. The other two disappeared from view. AzuI could see them, but not to well. The Warp Gate above was messing with his vision.

"Boom, boom!" the Mawloc blew up. Its body fell slowly to the ground. The Arwing and the pilot didnt make it. Bass confirmed the death and the loss of the machine. The pilot had self-destructed. Reaching out, Azul pulled the psyche to him. He barely got it before he felt a warp fluctuation targeting the pilot.

"Duuum!" The entire sky blackened in an instant.

As the firing squad stop the advance of the enemy everyone looked up. A few minutes later, the Arwings that made it came back. All of the Trident Fighters didnt make it. It was the first real loss of the fight since it started.

They were not in good condition. Multiple scratches along the hull. Azul could tell one of the pilots was unconscious. The Arwing started sailing straight down. Looking close, AzuI could see a Termagant on the bottom of the belly of the fighter.

System: Willpower Check 31 Fail

An mental attack from the Hive fleet messed up Azul's senses. It focused in on just him. The controlled psychic might caught him off guard.

"Bailout!" AzuI said to the man over comms. He didnt respond. His fighter was heading side ways next. Bad news it was the direction of the mortar team. As if guided by an invisible force. 'Bass, activate the self destruct!'

In a split second the ship detonated. It was high enough that It did no damage to the forces. AzuI pulled the pilots psyche to himself and was shocked.

In that short time they were in there, the Hive mind was already fighting to take control of them. AzuI reached out to the other pilots and felt the foreign presence. A quick Mental Cleasing and they were good to go for a few moments. Azul made a note and sent the dead pilot a message of apology and let him know he will bring him back as soon as he could. AzuI felt his acknowledgment and refocused on the fight.

'Someone tampered with them. A blasted traitor in our group. But it is not in this part of the battlefield. Ugh, I can not send anyone here off to deal with it. It will have to wait for a bit. Those pilots will not make it.'

The pilots banked off to the side and headed back to the enemy. They fired all missiles and fired the turbo lasers until they overheated. They were taking out as much as they could before it was to late.

"What are they doing? Tell them to come back!" A gladiator said. It was one of Angrons that worked with outfitting the pilots.

"They are going to damage the enemy. They are already corrupted by the Tyrannids influence." AzuI said to the gldiator. "You should get back to your squad." He did not like that answer.

"Cotus!" Angron yelled. The man then moved back to where he needed to be. Angron walked over to Azul. "Brother what happened? Surely the mental buffs were enough?"

"The enemy was influencing the surviving pilots. I didnt think that was possible at their current stage. It was my fault. I should have accounted for something like that, a bit of sabotage to ruin things. It won't happen again." AzuI said to Angron. His biotic stands just let Azul know he was worried for his people. "Trust me. Mental Cleansing!"

"Bwwoooomm!" It traveled out hitting everyone on the battlefield. Including the Tyrannids. This disrupted the synapse control to the Hive Mind. D'Vorah was able to invade their minds and turn them instantly. Over 300 odd Tyrannid Warriors were forced to retreat with her.

I will do what I can to solidify them and recover.' D'Vorah thought to Azul. Amethyst and Emerald followed behind to make sure everything went smoothly.

Azul didnt want to use so much power already, but he had to. "Magic Shield!" The spell washed over all the troops depleting a vast majority of his magic and psyker power. He could feel the change in a lot of people. As if a small haze of sluggishness that affected them, all disappeared. What shocked Azul was the strands from Zelda.

She had pure disappointment and anger in her towards him. Why, he didn't know nor did he care right now. "This will last for the next 24 hours. It should help. I need that energy to decrease their numbers." AzuI said to whoever was listening.

Zelda simmered down a bit after that. She was affected by the battle herself. A group of Rune Eldar had just died. A group of 30 or so taken by a wave of Termagants where D'Vorah's group use to be.

The problem, was that Ruby should have taken up that spot she thought. But Ruby had stayed near Azul in case of any more changes to the area.

-Wave 3-

The next wave was upon them and Azul had to activate the fail-safe spell he placed on the ground. A giant geyser of scalding water travelled up puncturing holes into the enemy. The spell was able to clear an entire wave by itself. Up in the air, the spell energy would linger for a while to help in any way he had to use it.

They had 12 minutes of respite, as the next wave didnt come out yet. Bass gave information on all the ammo and energy reserves they had. They were not looking good, better than last time though. . But that was to be expected considering the enemy numbers were higher than they anticipated. Casualties were really really low. About 8% of the forces this time.

'I can not pinpoint the traitor. What to do?' Bass sent the message after replying to key personnel. 'Even Ruma had found a little sabotage in her location.'

'We can only keep searching. To many Biotic Strands for me to find anything. I have searched my immediate area to know luck.' Azul was bracing himself to deal with the next attack. He was prepared to deal with them. 'If it is the same as last time, it will go better. So far so good.' Azul was slow chanting to cast spells on his people. Preserving mana as best he could for now.

"Craaackkk! Vrrrrmm!" The ground cracked and vibrated. But not from heavy enemies, no. The sheer number of Tyrannid Warriors that ran out with Scything Talons and Rending Claws.

Bai Han gave Azul a look. Nothing needed to be said, as he started to walk forward. He stopped Azul. "Stay here. We will go." AzuI wanted to argue but felt a pang in his head.

System: Companion Mission allow Bai Han to lead the troops in battle. Rewards:??? Decline: Lost of respect by Bai Han.

"Go. Dont die!" AzuI said as he took a seat. If this needed to be done again, so be it. "Maxium Power!" Power washed over the troops going into battle. Every buff Azul could do increasing their strength and giving, even more fighting capabilities with additional healing. AzuI did his best to recover energy afterward.

"We are heading out to the left side." Jaina said. Ruby gave Azul a look before heading with her. "Ruma has arrived and I dont want them getting ambushed again." AzuI didnt say anything as his headache got worst. Clutching his head, he just nodded at her.

System: Mission Jaina wishes to prove herself in command once again. Allow her to flourish unabated by your hand. Ruby Thessia Lunastrider wishes to witness the might of Jaina Proudmoore personally.

Rewards:???, ???? Interfere: Jaina's admiration turns to hatred. 50% decrease in magic training and aptitude. Decline: Ruby will ??????

'What the hell?!' AzuI didnt know what was happening about the last part. The rest was fine. If Morai-heg was messing with Ruby their would be trouble.

He couldn't ask the Operators for help. Didnt know if he wanted to actually. He was glad they asked not to not communicate with him during this battle. Going without their advice actually decreased the difficulty a little. AzuI watched as everyone fought. He didnt interfere just spectated. Then he felt Hilda moving about. Next, a change in himself occurred.

'I have released another part of you.' Hilda's voice sounded extremely chipper. 'Conceit and Pride were dealt with as well as Disgust and Intrgue. How do you feel?'

System: Nether World has reached the next stage. Physical trait Overlord has moved to the next stage.

'I feel a little better.' AzuI stood up and checked the map on his forces. Jaina was right about Ruma's group. The Warband definitely were in an ambush. Despite having increased forces and changing their approach they way Angron suggested. But their forces were plentiful with know real issues besides the ambush happening. With the bolstering from Jaina and Ruby it would be fine. 'How do you feel? As well as Zelda.'

'Good considering. I dont like that hole in the sky.' Hilda's voice had a little dread in it. Azu felt her moving around to another statue. 'Zelda is actually helping with another statue. This next one is a single one. It says Death Junkie. It is quite massive. I will release that next so be prepared.' She smiled happily to get to work on it.

AzuI just sent his approval. He was going through the information of the Overlord II when the Swooping Hawks made it from the rear. They had no damage whatsoever on them.

"The other areas are cleared Overlord. What will you like us to do now?" The Exarch in the group said neutrally. His biotic stands came out calm and happy. Azul found it weird but considering how he had dedicated himself to serving the Craftworld still after everything, it was understandable in very weird way.

"Exarch, soon we will have to engage in melee. The big ones are not out yet." AzuI turned to look at all of them. "I need you to injure as many as you can. Take no risks. Your speed will be needed on the battlefield considering the little Termagants may deploy again. I won't micromanage your tactics, just get that done and you will have been a big help." He agreed and stood by waiting.

"For what it is worth, I am sorry about the others." The Exarch said with regret in his voice. The others felt the same way. "The Rune Eldar at your side fight just like we do. The change in the Dark Eldar over to them is appreciated. Seeing them fight is enjoyable."

"Everyone has a choice in life. They choose theirs." AzuI put the helmet on as he stepped forward. Slaanesh in his right hand, a Rune axe in the left. "Come, let us see if Eldar melee can crush these monstrous beasts."

A few notifications went off that he ignored. He did not want to know what happened. He wanted to focus on just killing the enemy and his troops making it out alive. AzuI cast every buff he had as they moved into the fray.

The next 10 hours were gruesome. AzuI did not expect it to go so right. They fought the Tyrannids with everything they had. They never broke past the middle line. The Tyrannids paid for it with ichor. The Swooping Hawks were forced to retreat. None were dead, but they were no longer able to do anything. Their melee weapons had been destroyed and guns exploded. The armor they had left, might as well have been tissue paper.

Jaina and Ruma's group took it better than most. They were backing up the Gladiators on the left side of the battlefield. The notifications were that of them succeeding in their tasks.

Rayna and a few Eldar guardians almost didnt make it. She fought valiantly till a Toxicrene burst out of nowhere taking her Wanzer out. Before it fell, the creature was ripped apart by a very powerful psychic blast that AzuI had no idea where she got it from. He thinks it was from losing the Wanzer more than dying. She retreated with the parts and returned to the recovery area to fix what she could.

AzuI felt several biotic strands hit him hard. Someone felt discontentment. Not that he didnt stop more of the creatures. But that he failed somehow to do it by himself. AzuI would have a talk with whoever it was. Once he found them of course.

'I think I know what is going there. It might be a quest to test your commanding abilities.' Hilda thought happily to him. She was giddy as she rolled around in the fields that Azul created for her. She was taking a break before heading back to work. Zelda was speaking with Link somewhere with D'Vorah about things. 'But I can not be to sure. I say focus on the fighting.'

'Right. I need to go over with the Operators in the future about some quests that they take.' Azul then started to go over logistics more. 'So far so good.'

The Thessia sisters, the High-Level Rune Eldar Psykers, Azul had fought hard securing the middle. A Psyker wall blocked the most of the nids as Azul and Angron fought close engaged in melee.

A calm took over the battlefield as they watched the last of the enemy drop. In the sky, another light spell went out to help them see.

AzuI watched in the distance as a Hive Tyrant walked out from behind enemy lines. Stepping over the corpses of its brethern. Another group was coming out from the side of it. AzuI couldn't tell what it was. But he marked them as his just in case they had changed from last time.

Just then he felt the statue Hilda had been working on last giving way. Beautiful delicious Combat L.u.s.t. Azul's psyker power jumped up. His Laguz blood flowing powerfully. Azul had gotten a second wind of sorts spirtually.

"Agron it's all yours!" AzuI said as he moved past. "Its a Hive Tyrant. Jaina, Zelda, and Link will help you take it out."

"Sure leave us the hard one." Angron said jokingly. He then stopped once he saw where Azul was headed. "On second thought, thanks!"

"We will take care of the other!" Aurora declared. Her sisters and the Rune Eldar following behind her to engage. "They thing has been calling you for awhile now."

System: Defeat the Carnifex Old One Eye in battle. Doing so will complete all Broodfather qualifications and secret qualifications. Difficulty: ???

"Take care of everything else. I do not want any surprises coming from behind on us!" Azul ordered. They sisters faltered for just a bit before shooting pass.

System: Command Check 40 Pass

AzuI ran towards the Carnifex Old One Eye. It was misplaced from time and defintely here due to the difficulty increase. It should not be here at all, and the two Hive guard that were beside it, looked more dangerous.

'Misty Fist Lv7!' A very thin layer appeared over the weapons. Cutting through with Slaanesh, made it a lot easier on the little ones. The Rune Axe was used on anything big that got in the way. AzuI had to duck a pair of scything talons from a Warrior right off the bat. "Hup!" He put extra momentum in the dodge. Not to waste energy, but to set up for the axe strike on a warrior that tried to get past.

"Ching!" The axe cut it right down the middle after breaking the chitin. AzuI slid on the ground then running full tilt. Not stopping as he went into rotation in a c spin. "Ching!Ching! Ching!" The axe cut off another 3 warriors with ease.

"Haa!" Azul paused to check the area quickly. 'So far so good.' Then the pause got the better of him. He had to make sure they didnt get past him to easily. AzuI looked on in horror as a group of Termagnats ran pass on the side. 'Spoke to soon!'

A large group had made past the Thessia sisters. Not from lack of trying but way more than should have been there arrived. Azul spotted the hole they crawled from.

"Fire on my position!" AzuI yelled to the mortar team. A scything talon went through his c.h.e.s.t and lifted him up into the air. AzuI almost dropped Slaanesh with the lax grip. "Die!" He channeled a concussive shot through the sword blowing the top half of the warrior that had him. The blast blew him off into the air.

"Weeeeew!" The sounds of the shells sailing through the air passed his by. Using a small biotic shield to protect himself, he was caught by one of the shots. THe armor took most of the damage and reduce the cut from the Tyranid.

"Boom!" AzuI went straight to the ground. Explosions started to rain down all around him. Sitting up into a kneeling position, he waited for the shells to stop. 24 seconds later they did. Not waiting for the dust to clear, he sent out water tendrils around the area. They danced around on the ground finishing off any Tyrannids they could.

"Rooar!" AzuI turned to see a Hiveguard coming barreling through the remains of its hive. It came right at him. With a swing of its massive claws, AzuI was lifted off the ground by a powerful swipe. Right before the other hit, he made his move. He redirected the tendrils to wrap around it's backside. This kept him from only flying up a little bit. Pulling himself back down, AzuI swung with the axe.

"Ching!" The rune axe lodged into the beast, but that was it.

"Ping!" He watched in horror as the blade shattered. Even with the reinforcing from everything, it as nothing compared to the upgraded Tyranid.

"Shit!" AzuI cursed. He watched as the shards scattered in slow motion. Sending out a psychic pulse, he pulled them back. He didn't get the chance to get them all, as another Hiveguard barreled into him pinning him down to the ground. "Kuff!" AzuI coughed up blood. Not from the charge but the weight of its body as it pinned him to the ground even harder. "Get off!"

It slid back a little as it brought its mouth talons or was it mandibles down trying to scoop him up like a piece of road kill. I moved to the side a little between the mouth blades.

"Thump'" It tore a ditch in the ground. Pulling the pieces of the axe again, Azul sent it all toward the neck of the creature. "Ting ting!" They circled around for a moment before breaking. Feeling the resistance, AzuI smashed his hands togethor and watched as it fell. "Thump!" It twitched only a bit.

"Huff….did the mortar only get the one?" AzuI looked back to see what happened. A warrior had broken through from Ruma's side. It made it toward the mortar team first line. The gladiators did there best to pin it down. The mortar team abandon the guns as they fled. 'Damn cowards!' No that was wrong. They were just civilians. The fact they stayed was a blessing in the beginning.

Reaching his hand out, AzuI casted protect on his people. He felt the energy leave him harder this time due to the distance. As the protective energy wrapped around the gladiators, they fought with renewed vigor. It would have to be enough as, AzuI turned back toward the Carnifex One Eye. He felt as it moved behind him. When the shells came it must hid itself somehow down below.

Azul turned and saw how it survived. It threw a few Hiveguard and warriors to the ground and stepped over the remains. It looked at him with a sharp gleam in its one good eye. Azul charged at it with Slaanesh pointing out.

'Cycle up!' As he cast the spell on himself giving me a few microseconds of processing to act faster, he went ahead and activated the other speed-boosting while switching a part of his mind to the Growlanswer and Final Fantasy Tactics abilities more. 'Haste, Dash, Adrenaline Rush Lvl 4, Regen!'

The Carnifex had its claws and bone sword! Azul got pissed. Why couldn't it just have the claws. The swing came fast and powerful. AzuI didnt risk blocking it. Sidestepping with a little effort proved to be the better idea. Despite the increased distance he still felt the pressure from the swing. Then everything got worse.

"Ripp! Crack!" The armor ripped and tore with its bindings. AzuI was now fighting this monster without any armor on besides his Cerebus clothing. He felt the attack from an outside force effect him.

'It have to have been the Hiveguard tackle a few minutes ago that finished it off.' AzuI looked at its taunting gaze. It was as if it was saying just one good hit and you are mine. 'That traitor made things a lot worse. But I beat the Carnifex last time with know armor. But One eye is not just a simple one.'

"Overlord's.." AzuI started to say before he heard the mental yell.

'Dont do it Master!' Hilda said. 'Remember the Daemon that is coming this way. If you use that trump card as you put it, you won't have the strength to fight. The Necrons after. Mileuda and company are still not in this quadrant yet.'

Stopping the use of that move, AzuI had to make do with using Misty Fist on just his left arm for protection. The healing waters though weak were better than nothing. Regen would compensate with the already healing ability he possessed.

'Thanks Hilda.' AzuI focused on fighting the Carnifex again. This engagement would go better than the last. When the bone sword came he ducked the swipe and hurry to use his clawed hand to grab the sword. The momentum took him with the swing. Launching it in that same direction. 'Lv4 Concussive Shot!'

"Fwwooosh!" Azul fired a large water shot at it. "Booom!" It blasted Old One eye right in the face. The damage was decent but made it better for the next part.

"Tink! Tink!" the Carnifex looked down at the present he left it. Two grenades hit against its carapace. It had the chance to see it right as it detonated.

"Kaboom!" The blast caught up with Azul even though he was a good bit away. "Bam!" AzuI hit the remains of a building going through it.

Health -23

"Kuff! Got to move! I know it is not dead!" Looking around quickly Azul didnt see anything of use in the room left. Standing, he felt the pain immediately. His left arm was broken. Placing it relative in place, He used a low level spell. Regen was already taking care of most of the work.

'Cure!' AzuI felt the bone fragments regrow as he walked out of the building. 'Cure!' He used it again this time on the rest of his body. The aches and pains dulled with the help of the upgrades working harder than ever. Just to help him get back in the fight.

'Master take a breather for a moment.' Hilda said.

'I cant and you know that.' AzuI said not wanting to argue in any way. 'Bass, is there any tech around I can use?' Walking out he could see the Carnifex was struggling to stand. Feeling a pang of guilt at the gladiators that died he could see. AzuI shrugged it off. He already started pulling on their physic pain to strengthen himself and the others. 'Acc.u.mulate!' Azul's vision tinted slightly as he ran to the Carnifex.

'There is nothing usable my Netop. The power is drained and no possible way to overcharged them fast enough. I am sorry.' Bass said. He was still keeping tabs on the battlefield giving the relevant data to help find the traitor.

'There is nothing to be done about that dont worry. Keep up the good work.' Making it towards the Carnifex, AzuI changed Devil power. He could feel the warp scream at him. "Ragh!" With his hand double gripped on the sword, he swung side ways.

"Chiinng! Chiiing!" The blade screeched against the chitin armor. Ichor seeped out slowly. It wasn't strong enough of a blow. Focusing on using his psyker power to boost his physical strength, AzuI felt the heavy taxation it placed on his body. He hopped forward under the beast and started to swing up rapidly.

"Splurch!" Ichor fell from up top landing on his c.h.e.s.t and face. The burning sensation just pushed Azul harder as he swung. "Splurchh!" A deeper cut causing more to land on his left arm.

Health -56

"Shit!" Feeling the cooldown finally drop, Azul used his biotic shielding. 'Biotic Shielding + Defense Up!' Using togethor, the psychic membrane formed around him protectively. With a back swing he all the way down old One eyes belly. The Ichor poured on top him in seconds. The beast tried to squash Azul instantly.

"Fwoosh!" Azul used teleport and appeared above it. "Thump!" Old One Eye smashed the ground so hard, several Tyranids and Rune Eldar fell down. It looked up in the air staring at Azul with the one good eye.

"Sching!" Old One eye brandished its Rending Claws and swiped at Azul. "Doop!" With the attacks connected, Azul spread his shield forward and wrapped the claws up. He then pulled them togethor as hard as he could.

Health - 79

"Grrrrooo!" Old One Eye let out a howl that almost destroyed Azul's eardrums. His nose started bleeding as it bombarded him with the psychic attack.

'Time for me to use that trap I set up for this part.' With a mental trigger, his body was immediately over saturated with warp energy. "Grrrrr!" Azul gnashed his teeth as the Runic lines on his body lit up.

Azul discarded his shield and wrapped the psychic energy around himself. Using Misty Fist, he created a large construct of a nail and hammer. "Ding!" The nail smacked into the back of the beast. "Doop!"The hammer smashed ontop driving the nail in. "Doop!" Another hit and it pierced all the way through. The extra power from the Warp making the attack much more brutal.

System: Intelligence Check 45 Pass

Azul had the midde of the large nail turn into needles. "Ping!" All at once it shot out of the Carnifex in several directions. At the end of the needles were anchors. Azul sent it to attack every Tyranid he could in the area. "Ping! Ping! Ping! Ping!" Several Hiveguard were hit. The anchors then pulled back towards Old One Eye.

Azul landed ontop. He felt several of his spells scream out, so he just let his magic seep out in the one spot. His skin started to burn from the overuse over energy. He targeted every one of his people with Regen and Curaja. Then the down ones were hit with Revive.

System: Paragon Awarded

"Grrraaahhh!" Old One Eye shook its self free and broke the anchors. Azul teleported to in fornt and stared it down. "Grrraaa!" Rending Claws raised high, Azul felt it draw power from someone. He ddint wait a moment longer.

With a final slash with the sword, he cut down creating a physic wave of energy that followed. He felt the weakening of realspace because of it.

"Scccchinnngng!" The Strike cut the chitin all over. Countless wh.i.p.s of water scratched against the chitin. Azul kept redirecting it to follow over the same cut marks. Then it was all pulled back to him as he pulled everything to his core.

"Ha...do... ken!" Azul pulled from the surroundings and felt the area where the traitor was. 'I will have Jaina deal with that. The large blast traveled through Old One Eye then straight up into the air. Azul was not taking any chances with another dropping in.

Right as it dissipated, Azul snatched at the consciousness of Old One Eye. He ate it for himself instead of feeding it to Slaanesh or anyone else. Ichor fell from the sky. Azul didnt have the strength to dodge. His health was fine, but his body was screaming.

"Huff.. huff this stuff tastes terrible." Some had gotten into his mouth burning his bottom lip off and burning the majority of his right side of the body. Looking around, he saw the others had gotten hit by another wave of Termagants. "Tch! Esuna!" A white bit of magic washed over Azul. Cured of his status conditions, he ran that way. Several water tendrils came out of his back. They picked up rocks and pieces of metal to throw at the small horde. 'Have to clean up before the Daemon host arrives!'

Two hours later. Everything died down a little. Azul felt the place freeze as he was pulled to his Nether World. This did not happen last time. A chance for a break as well another Quest finish.

It was time the Eldar Gods did a little more work. He found it odd that he didn't get to level up. But then again that did happen last time.
