Crap, I Was Rifted

Chapter 91 - Warhammer Part 9 Necrons... quick work (Rough Draft)

Azul whole up right before things turned unbelievably crazy. A Monolith had broken through the blockade up above. Not with out taking massive damage and heavy fire through most of its structure.

The Monolith was both a ship and a fortress. Housing thousands upon thousands of Necron. the Necron were once a humanoid type species before the arrival of C'tan turned them into living metal.

"Hmm." Ruma turned to Azul. "Do not worry. No casualties. We are good. A lot of the fighting previously went a long way." As a former Krogan Clan leader, she knew a thing or two. She also knew his fears and worries. "We kept everything together."

"Great work." Azul gave her a reassuring smile as he watched everything unfold. A few Necron Destoyers were going to make it pass a break. "Overworked, need more troops in the future. I will fight a little more. Thanks for taking care of everything. Did more than I thought and pushed harder than I would have been ok with."

"Heh!" Ruma smacked him on the back. Azul stumbled forward a little. "We need to push hard to. It makes the "soul" grow much more. Thanks for trusting us on the battlefield. It goes a long way." Her biotic strands let him know she meant it. Also that she wanted to see him smash some things up close.

"Humph!" Azul snorted as he ran out. The Vegnagun Cannons opening fire nonstop. Ruby and Aurora right on his tail. "Oh, no rest even now?"

"Bang!" Ruby's Relic Warhammer smashing into a destroyer. Its body flew in to two others in the way.

"Not if you are fighting." Ruby said. She did a twirl as she smashed and leaped around the battlefield. "But, Matriarch Auraro was super worried bout you."

"Eh? That true Hotshot?" Azul slid across with a quick use of Dash! As the cannons moved out firing independently with Bass's control, he used mostly physical moves next. 'Lv 7 Misty Fist!' As the water wrapped around, Azul struck harder and faster.

"Yes." Aurora answered. Swooping down, she unloaded with raw psychic power. "Shredding!"

"Wooosh!" Several discs of wind formed. As it scattered across the Destroyers disconnecting several pieces of the body.

"Peeeww!" Powerful Bright Lance's fired from behind them all. Emerald and her Warp Spiders had appeared and opened fire all out.

"Well damn." Azul looked mouth agape. They execution of their movements had shot up over a hundred fold. "Raaahhh!" Two Destroyers he rapped up were crushed before he tossed them in to the air.

"Ha!" A set of gladiators near Angron literally threw rocks at the tossed up enemy. "Hit the deck!"

"Boooom!" The rocks exploded in a blaze of Warp Fire.

"Huh?" Azul looked on puzzled. Instincts told him to throw up shields. But Aurora beat him to it. "Those are some weird rocks."

"Yeah... and they stink." Aurora said quietly. She stood in front of him surprised at how fast she was able to move just then. 'Our senses and fighting prowess is really a lot better near him. Must be careful of that.'

"Bring it down!" Azul ordered. His sh.i.p.s in the air fired everything at the Monolith. 'I do not think any new quests are important at this time.'

"Shit! Should we retreat?" Emerald asked from the rear. Seeing Azul look up relaxed, she was puzzled. A deeper look revealed all the Warp energy gathered around him. "Is he getting ready to use it as an attack?"

"You will die with that much inside you!" Ruby said from the side.

"It will be fine. I promise you." Azul said, confidant. "I claim Warhammer 30k-40k as my own."

System: World shard used. A corner of the Galaxy is under your control. 3/20 World shards. Additional options are available.

"Do it now!" Azul commanded.

Above the entire sky lit up. The plasma batteries from the sh.i.p.s were set to 90% power. The Monastery turbo cannon absorbed gasses from space to increase the power output on the smaller guns.

"Lv6 Biotic Shielding." Azul muttered. The Barrier formed as he pushed it up above. His sole focus and energies towards shielding the battlefield.

D'Vorrah started to go into overdrive as the power increased within Azul. She started chattering to the Tyrannids to clear Warp Space. They obeyed quickly to help their Queen and BroodFather.

The ability of Shadow in the Warp pushed aside energies that travelled towards Azul. Long dormant creatures were flicked aside by the dark ability of the nids. Cloak from them, Azul was able to shape things easier.

His Biotic Shielding increased in density. With the use of Misty Fist, large aquatic hands reached out to pry open the monoliths in the air. Sanguinius stared in interest, Azul's fury was completely under control. It reminded him of his own Blood Rage.

'He refuses to allow his people to die. That is commendable.' Sanguinius turned to look at Lion'El Johnson and Angron. 'Is that why these to follow him? What could it be that causes them to have such fate?'

"Heh, you need to get in touch with your humanity." Lion said demurely. "It is something that a lot of us suffer from. As well as what will cause problems in the future. I am throwing my lot in with him. Just like Angron."

"But the Emperor.." Sanguinius started to say.

"He has his own plans. Keeps his own secret council. I am ok with not being a part of it." Lion shook away his brother's protests. "You will see in time. Hopefully, it won't be to late."

Both Angron placed their hands on Azul's shoulders. The strong will of the two forcing a change up above in the sky. The Biotic Shield turn denser from the Lion's effort as the Aquatic hands turned fiercer from Angron.

"Hey, there are a few "things" popping up." Aurora said next to him. "It requires us to deal with the Necrons ourselves."

"Sorry, but nope Hotshot." Azul shook his head disagreeing. He did not want to take the extra risks. Enough was enough. The troops may be healed but they were seriously mentally fatigued. "I want to wrap this up, and the others all in one."

"Good." Aurora stepped in front then leaned back into him. "This has been a roller coaster of stuff. But we are so much stronger for it. No wonder it is so hard to get a foothold in this place."

Sanguinius just thought it odd the way the two interacted. 'Wait.. he looks just like the advisor the Emperor brought in. Especially if I think of more human features.' Focusing himself, the Primarch felt things slowly click in place. 'Is this an effort by the emperor to infiltrate their forces or to build an alliance with the Eldar?'

As the hours went by, the sky slowly cleared up. Imperium forces, as well as Azul forces, made sure everything was taken care of up above. The planet was under Angron's command as per the rules of the Imperium afterward.

Azul was placed "under" the command of Angron. That is what the Imperial Edict stated anyway. Ruby did not like the phrasing of the Imperials, so she excused herself. Aurora was listed as his Honor Guard Leader. With Jaina in charge of the Rune Eldar forces altogether that resided on the planet.

Angron had collapsed from mental exhaustion after the little meeting finished between them. Immediately, he was taken to an Imperial ship for treatment. Azul and his honor guard went with. Jaina took control of the ground forces and relief effort from a ship under Azul's control. Along with a few women that were close to Angron. He picked up a bad habit from Azul in that regard.

-A few Days Later-

"Ahhh!" Stretching, Angron woke up inside an infirmary. "What happened?"

"You overworked yourself yah igit." Azul chastised him. "No worries, they did not attack me." Angron smiled a little at that.

"Glad you guys made it. So what happened?" Angron waited to hear the tale. Before they could start, they heard yelling.

"Move you bloody pointy ears! Before I gut you!" The voice reminded Azul of a Norwegen butcher he met once. He knew the man to be Leman Russ after a quick thought. Leman Russ was the Primarch of the Space Wolves. The second voice was deep and sounded of a deep Asian accent in away.

"He is right! Move! It is not like we will hurt him." Jaghati Khan. Primarch of the White Scars. Definitely looked like the pictures still.

"Look at you string bean." Leman said as he approached closer to the bed. He stopped and snarled at the Rune Eldar. Angron's gladiators stepped in front of him. Defending the Thessia sisters outright from the man. "Loyal but foolish. Move whelpling." He started to raise his hand to hit the gladiator that stood unflinching.

Needless to say, AzuI was angry. "Leman enough!" Angron started to get out of bed.

Before AzuI stepped forward, he felt a hand pull him back. It was Zelda. He didnt even notice her earlier. "Tsk!" He grunted and waited. He then turned to Angron. "Your brothers need to reign themselves in."

"They should. Before they create a feud with our fresh allies." Lion El'Johnson walked in with Sanguinius. "What do you think Leman? Want to undo the Emperor's efforts already?"

"You are in no condition to get out of bed just yet, Angron." Zelda said angry. The gladiator captain turned from the others and looked at Angron angry as well.

"You just lay back down Angron. Allow everything to settle." Her name was Novus. A native of the planet like a majority of the Gladiators. She looked defiantly at Leman, causing him to smile. He took a step back a little unnerved. "Try not to cause to much of a ruckus please."

Laying Angron back down, she changed a few of his bandages with the help of the others.

"Ah, she has fire in her. To bad, she is was raised on that Eldar infested planet. She would make a fine Jarl." Leman said rubbing his chin.

"No a better Khan." Jaghati said. "Anyway, welcome to the land of the living brother. You have been out for quite some time I heard."

"How long?" Angron had to know.

"A week or so." A voice said coming through the door. A man with a slight red tint to his skin said. As he walked up with a weird bag of glowing liquid. He changed the one currently hooked up to both Angron and another of Angron's gladiators. "There, all better now." It was Magnus the Red.

Feeling the energy and the rush. Angron immediately tensed up.

"Let me help." Azul used Mental Cleansing on the entire room and cast Cure again on Angron.

In a matter of minutes, Angron felt the last aches leave his body. Removing the medical bandages, they watched as the scabs vanished. The flesh underneath still needed to recover despite the magic used. The damage was that extensive.

"A little warning next time." Leman said. "But thinks for that. My shoulder had a really bad crick in it."

"No problem." AzuI said looking to Aurora who was quiet. "Tell me the loses we suffered over all."

"I think... I think you should wait till later." Aurora looked away. "The numbers are bleh."

Ruma walked in with another set of Angron's Gladiators. The second Captain, Torfin spoke up. "We are all that remains of your units my Primarch. The village we evacuated however.. it is still standing. Another Gladiator arena freed."

Angron gripped his hands so tight, that the skin on his knuckles started to tear. His teeth were clenched so tight, his mouth started to bleed from the force on his jaw.

'Haaa, he lost like I did last time. But, he is a natural Primarch. I hope it allows him to do better.' Azul sent a reassuring set of Biotic Strand's to Angron. If you need to talk, I will do my best to listen.'

Zelda tapped Azul's shoulder sending a wave energy through him. This triggered the Dragon Power that calmed him down to manageable levels from the memory.

"So many lost." Angron mumbled.

"It could have been much worse." Torfin said. "When you gave that final strike and hit the daemon, its body started to tear. Cuts kept forming on its body. The relentless attacking you did, the endless bashing away at its limbs, keept it from really getting up."

"The biggest thing that cinched it, was you." A Gladiator said stepping forward. She pointed at Aurora. It was the woman from that village that was captured.

"Huh me?" Aurora asked a little dazed. "All I remember was getting wounded after Azul went back to fight against other daemons."

"Your wound closed and you jumped up biting the daemon with your teeth. Your right arm fingernails kind of looked like claws. You were unconscious from what we saw." A gladiator said with a twinkle in her eye.

"It was a good thing Bai-Han was there. We may have lost you if he wasn't." Zelda said. Azul tried to remember the battlefield and got mostly nothing.

"Where is Bai-Han?" AzuI asked not really looking up. He remembers at one point in the battle, several members of the Lin Kuei applied the Butcher's Nails to themselves.

"In surgery. The butchers' nails are being removed." Leman said. "Thanks to that woman of yours, he will be fine. Hopefully." He gave Azul a lopsided grin.

"Woman of mine?" AzuI didnt know who he was talking about.

"He means Mileuda." Ruma said coming in. The room was starting to get a little crowded. "She passed over a way to remove the blasted device even better. Nifty thing that it is." Ruma pulled out a syringe from her side pouch. "Here some go go juice to keep you from wierding out again."

System: High Cure-All has been applied. Healing restraints have been temporarily removed. Soul is recovering.

AzuI felt a lot better. The dark thoughts in his head disappeared. The small after effects of using the Warp Energy clearing away.

"Now what?" AzuI asked towards Leman.

"A meeting of the Primarchs." Leman said frowning a little. "In a few hours anyway. Will you attend?" He was hoping Azul would say no. Why does the Allfather want him to attend I wonder?'

"He will be there." Angron said.

"Yes, I will be there." After AzuI said that, the three left. Magnus, and the Lion remained. "What is it?"

"Just want to speak is all." Magnus answered quietly.

"Ok.. Well, Ruma sorry about the clutter of the battlefield.

"Oh, dont apologize for that. The clan loved the fighting even while doing the covert ops, they were happy. This place is perfect. Plus we all became stronger. I like it here and so do they."

"Do you want to stay?" Azul asked.

"Hmm not for now. We wish to head back. We will definitely come back after we get better gear." Ruma was all smiles. She leaned in close to Azul and spoke l.u.s.tfully. "I still want that roll in the hay." Pulling back she stared.

"Sounds like fun to me. Before I forget. Take Zelda back to the ship." AzuI watched as she followed that order. Looking to the rest, he had to ask. "As for the other Eldar, what will you do now?"

"We will follow you of course." The Autarch said. "You plan on saving my people from Slannesh, that is a worthy cause."

"I agree with him on that." Archon from another group said. "We will head back to the ship as well and regroup and consult the star charts. There are tons of Craftwords in danger right now."

"Very well. Hand me the spirit stones of the others. I will return them back to us." Azul outstretched his hand waiting.

"We have no wraith bone for them. Do you?"

"I will not use that method." Receiving the stones, Azul spent the mana to create bodies for each of them. As the stones floated out front. One by one, the Eldar opened their eyes. They were not as strong as they were before, but there was a stronger psyker power in all of them now. They were also more resistant to the Warp. "That's better. Take to the ship and help them with the recovery process." It was strange, they were all bathed Mental Cleansing to help.

AzuI looked to the Rune Eldar. "Were you able to recover the glands on the battlefield?"

"Some." Emerald said. But others looked damaged. I have them on our ship."

"Even if they are damaged, I will do what it takes to fix that." AzuI was not gonna act stingy with his people. They were the first and he was gonna give them special treatment. "Do they all still wish to follow me?"

"Of course." They all said one be one. "No matter where you go Over Lord."

"Good."Azul waved his hand over them, washing them in each of his energies. A small part but enough to help them in the future with some things. "Congrats on becoming the CraftWorld's first Phoenix Lords and Ladies."

With a little cheering, they finally settle down. They talked about what to expect in the future. A lot of them were excited for the fighting. A few wanted to just travel. Before they knew it, it was time to go to the meeting. As Azul walked, he felt Hilda working on the statues again. Isha sent him a message about something.

'This woman Hilda... is very passionate. I never seen someone take such interest in their work before.' Isha watched her work intently. She worked a statue to the side herself. 'Do you think she should have this much access?'

'Yup. You can help her if you want. When Zelda is done with whatever she is doing, get her to help to.' Azul walked slowly in the hall. Him and Angron at the same pace. Their Honor Guards behind them respectfully. 'As for.. the Everchild. If she is capable of doing anything to help in the area, go for it.'

'I see.' Isha said demurely as she carried out her tasks.

-Inner Chamber-

AzuI was with the rest of the Primarchs. He felt uncomfortable. Their presence alone made him feel unnerved. He remember all they accomplished and would if the World stood the same. After a few instances of doubt, he shook it all away.

'I may not be on par with them or a Primarch, but at least I never screwed up like some of them had or will.' Azul looked them all over from his position by the wall. He was not offered a seat at the table. 'Another change from last time.'

"Boop!" A few of the other Primarch's appeared via holo communication. They stared at Azul and his group with interest and animosity. Mostly from Fulgrim. The Primarch of the Emperor's Children was a man thought sought artistic belief and perfection.

"Yoh," Azul said as he waved at them. Keeping it casual is better than the alternative. "How are things?" Feeling Aurora was a little tired, he pulled a seat from the corner for her. "Sit down Hotshot."

She complied and fell asleep quite fast. Emerald and Amethyst tended to her instantly. Ruby stood on guard.

"It is rude to sit without the host present." Said Roboute Guilliman. Primarch of the Ultramarines.

"It is rude to invite people over and not be here. Besides, I dont think he cares if she sits and waits."

"Who are you to decide that?" Dorn said dignified. "You think you know what father thinks."

"Totally not what I was getting at. But you need to relax. Like seriously relax. Before you burst a brain vein." Azul was about to say more, when the door opened. In walked Bai-Han with the Emperor. From the looks of things it went well. "Greetings Emperor of Mankind," AzuI said to him with a nod of his head. He then addressed Bai-Han, "I take it everything is fine?"

"Yes, in a few days I will be good to go. In a month the pain will disappear, with a year, it will be as if they were never there from the beginning." Bai-Han walked over and stood right next to him.

The others just looked and then turned to the Emperor that smiled. He was happy for the change of pace Azul felt.

"Let's all have a seat. No need to remain so rigid." Sitting down, the Emperor motioned for the rest to sit. At the table, there were at least a 101 seats. "This is the room we originally we all would have commanded from. But Chaos forces intervened interrupting my plans."

Azul felt a stirring at that mention of that.

"We must do what we can to find our other brethren." Spoke Sanguinius. "If any of them had the same fate as these two.. I shudder at the thought about what could have happened." He said looking to Angron and the Lion.

"I know. But right now, we have to take the chance with what we have. Hopefully, they are resourceful as the rest of you have been." The Emperor said. He was determined to continue the Great Crusade. Which I would have done the same of. "Angron do your best with your Legion under your command. I give you 3 months to get rested and acquainted with everyone."

"It will be done." Angron said after thinking for a bit. "I have good people helping me."

"I do not have a Legion for you Azul. But I know you have your own forces you will make up. Just remember to keep the Eldar in line." The Emperor said looking dead at him. His stern gaze told Azul all he needed to know. He was counting on Azul to succeed in this... venture of controlling the Xenos. Also was giving Azul a way for lack of presence he would have here. "While you are at it, try to map out the sector."

"It is true that you can go where we cannot." The Lion said stoically.

"Ha! A right job for a lightfoot." Leman said with a boisterous laugh.

"You are right. But give me a year or so and this lightfoot will dance circles around you." Azul said to the man with a toothy grin. He didnt mean for his fangs to come out, but they did.

"I look forward to it pointy ears." Leman said happily.

It was then AzuI noticed the table had a numeral number on the front of it that lit up. The numbering had changed. Or maybe this was just the designation for something for Angron.

"Designation XII Primarch of the War Hounds. Patres Ordinis Xenos." Angron read out loud. "Thank you, Emperor."

"Dont screw it up." Jaghati said smiling. "Someone has to deal with the relations between us and the Xenos. Who better than one raised by them such as yourself."

"That I will." Angron felt happy for some reason. He sent a message to Azul. 'To think he gave me your designation but I still have the original name of my Legion. I think my forces from my home planet of Nuceria will have the name of World Eaters still. What do you think?"

'I agree. A good distinction for you.' Azul responded back happily.

Listening as the meeting go on, Azul made some notes about things. The other Primarchs to the right had been raised with Xenos as well. A man thinner than most, had been raised by the Kroot, till an Etheral had found how gifted he was.

One man was raised by Orks. His savagery matched Angrons, Jaghati, and Leman.

Another was raised by himself entirely. He lived in a Necron Monolith remains. He used it to learn all kinds of things apparently. If there wasn't an accident, AzuI doubted he would have joined the Emperor's crusade. He looked as if he rather be tinkering away with something.

'I think he was only settled down by the idea of heading to Terra to via for the technology. The next was someone who wore a full body suit of sorts. The voice came out mechanical and always with pauses. As if it the person was having trouble talking.

"That is all." The Emperor said before leaving. Concluding the meeting.

A Custode walked over to Azul and spoke with a stern voice of disappointment. "In five hours, head to the audience chamber. You need to go through debriefing Xenos. Do not be late." With a pivot, he walked away.

"Well... ok then. That was unpleasant." Getting up from the wall, AzuI spent time talking with the other Primarchs personally. Well as best he could anyway with the ones who wanted to speak.

Magnus and Sanguinius had a good bit to talk about with Psyker abilities. They hit it off relatively well. Leaving was easy as the others wanted to part as well.

Lion El'Johnson had left five minutes after the Emperor. So he was surprised to see him when Azul turned a corner. Proped against the wall, he pushed off it when Azul came close. He fell in step with Azul easily. His biotic strands told Azul he was worried about something.

"Lion, it is ok to ask me anything. Come with me to the audience chamber if you wish. I have at least 30 minutes to spare." AzuI said to the man hoping it would work like it did last time. 'Everything ok?' The mental probe was taken in easily.

"Thank you." His voice was filled with relief. Arriving in the chamber, he scanned the room. Finding nothing, he pressed his gauntlet. AzuI could hear faint static in the room. "I need your help. On my planet of Caliban, there is a strange creature there. I have not seen it, but I have heard it. Deep in the forest when I was a child. I dont know why I am telling you this, but I feel like I must. The weapon one of your forces fought with. The markings, match a cave exterior. I would like for you to come to Caliban and investigate it with me."

"That is strange. But I dont see a reason not to." AzuI thought about it and basically just wanted to see what it was for himself again. "When are you headed that way?"

"Next month. If the warp does not screw it up. So will you do it?" Lion asked to make sure. Mentally he sent a message back to Azul however. 'It will happen much later this time. I just wish to make the offer here and now.'

"Of course." AzuI agreed. The moment he did, the System sent the notification.

System: Quest Chain Lion El'Johnson has a secret so dangerous it threatens Caliban and the Imperium itself. Rewards: ????, Increase favor of the Emperor, Absolute Loyalty of Lion El'Johnson and the Dark Angel Legion. Failure: Dark Angel Legion falls to Chaos completely, Horus Heresy one step closer to success.

"Azul you are early." The Emperor said walking in.

"Ah yeah was just talking. What's up John?" AzuI said. Not really paying attention.

"Oh. Didnt know you knew my name. It is always refreshing hearing it called again." The Emperor played it off for a few that listened in.

"Yeah, I could see that." AzuI turned and noticed a small group of Custodes and a few Sisters of Silence nearby. The biotic strands of confusion from Custodes was funny. They didn't see why the Emperor was so relaxed with a Xenos such as himself. And so forthcoming. "So whats the danger?"

"No danger. Just the chance to talk." Sitting down, John relaxed in a few seconds and started to drink something that was placed in front of him.

"Oh yeah, I have something for you." Reaching into the Inventory, AzuI pulled out an orb. Walking over he handed it directly to him. "Take it. I dont want it."

"This is?" The Emperor asked. His eyes never left the orb. "It can't be."

"A piece of the Immaterium and Chaos itself. I dont want it. Best given to someone who has already messed with that stuff." The Custodes stepped back as the Sisters circled the Emperor.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

"Absolutely. Do you not want it?" Azul eyes searched the Emperor for any false hood.

"I will gladly take it." Trembling, the Emperor placed it inside himself. The World lost its color for but a moment. "Thank you. I will never forget this.

System: You have given the Emperor of Mankind the key pillar to his own World. The World is free from its shackles and is on a path to the unseen. The Warp has been buffed. Daemons will find it harder to escape and enter real space. Increase in Tyrannids throughout the Worlds. 500 years till incursion from Unknown space.

Rewards: Incalucuable, Emperor of Mankind Loyalty absolute. Can be called to other Worlds for assistance. All Warhammer 30k-40k items in shops are discounted. Growth increase for those applicable to Warhammer 30k-40k.

System: Would you like to rework Slaanesh? Would you like to rework Khorne?

'Sure?' AzuI didnt really know what that meant specifically.

System: Slaanesh has turned into a User Soul Weapon. It cannot be stolen, destroyed, or possessed. It can not be accessed even against System regulation denizens or Avatars.

'Holy crap. I need to look deeper into this.' Azul thought about how dangerous the two items were. 'As well as the notifications I didnt read during the battle.'

"Azul, thank you." The Emperor had stood up and actually bowed to him. "You have done humanity a great service."

"Happy to help. Hopefully, we can win this time against Chaos." Azul said smiling considering from the history, of the Worlds humanity and the galaxy lost everytime.

"We definitely have a higher chance now. Let's talk a little. Not to formally at all right now." John looked to the Custodes and they left the room. "I know you are upset about what is happening on Terra. But it is for the best. We are headed back there now actually."

"Right. Why did you screw me over?" Azul asked. He kept his anger in check. Mostly because of his people that were to close and from the level difference between the two. 'This bastard is busted. Shit is in black and red.'

Observe: Emperor Of Mankind John Level 80

They talked for a few hours before AzuI left. Heading to this chambers he was surprised to see Skarlet there. She looked different but felt more m.a.t.u.r.e. Before he could ask her anything, he was pulled to his Nether World.
