The shadow of the man gradually coated the pair as the sun kept on rising behind his back. The power he held in his palm was still unknown to the two as clearly, judging from the lack of a generator or a piece crystal on his body, he's not a crystal user. What mystery surrounds his power or what is his potential, these are crucial questions before the inevitable fight begins.

Mike - "Ferdinand, I know you hate me for killing Sniper but I'll let you know that if we were to fight, I won't miss killing you. "

Ferdinand - "No, Mike, I do not hate you for killing lord Sniper, I was ordered to do so. I came to fight you today because I wanted to face an opponent that's of my level. "

Mike - "Before we start, I wanna know how you got the ship without us noticing you. "

Ferdinand - Agent Spy disguised himself as me while serving as an undercover agent for Overwatch while I went through the final test on my power's potential. That day, where you and the rest came for Australia, I, with the use of my ability, managed to sneak on board. Finally, to make it fair, my power does not rely on the crystal but my mind. To put it simply, I'm a psychic user.

Mike - "I see... "

Ferdinand (under pressure) - "Very well, Mike, shall we begin? "

Mike - "Kadyn hop on my back, I need to keep you close. "

Hopping onto Mike's back, Kadyn grabbed tightly Mike's abdomen as she readied herself for the worst. As Mike activated his crystals, Kadyn no longer felt the gravity pulling her down while she tries to not fall from Mike's back instead, she felt like being in space.

Mike - "Emperor Requiem, show yourself! "

Just as Mike's voice called, a golden armour suddenly appeared out of nowhere, wrapping Mike's body inside its. The sand flowed around Mike just like a wind of stars while the gravity around him was entirely suppressed. Now floating in the air like a divinity, Mike invited Ferdinand to take the first move with a movement of his hand.

Ferdinand - "The emperor who took down Sniper, this is going to be interesting. "

Ferdinand, with 2 fingers, pressed on the ground, causing the gravity around him to shift downward.

The rocks and plants started to sink underground as the gravity increased with every second. Soon, even the rocky mountains started to crumble as a result of Ferdinand's power. Mike, on the other hand, did not even felt the impact of Ferdinand's power as he stood still on the soil without even the slightest of concern. He was calm, even though Ferdinand's abilities are something he never encountered before, Mike kept his cold in the face of an unknown danger.

Ferdinand - "Interesting, you didn't even use the slightest of your power to stand your ground against my attack. "

Mike - "Let's get this over with! "

Ferdinand, seen Mike's determination, knows that only one of them will walk away from this fight. The calm face of the young man can only mean that he was ready for whatever he may throw at him. With both of his hands, Ferdinand lifted massives pieces of rock in the air.

Ferdinand (while throwing the boulders at Mike) - "Take that. "

Mike - "If you wanna fight, you gotta do better than this. "

The rock flying toward him all suddenly became dust and flew to his side. Not even a single drop of sand managed to touch the pair as Mike slowly walked toward Ferdinand's position with Kadyn on his back. Seeing that small attack won't harm his opponent, Ferdinand lifted small pieces of rocks from the soil. Accelerating the speed of the stones, the small rocks quickly became a tornado of deadly projectiles around him.

Ferdinand - "I hope you are prepared for this, Mike! "

Launching all the pieces toward Mike, those who missed their target ripped a deep hole inside the soil while the ones that made it to Mike were all deflected back toward Ferdinand.

Seen his attack coming back at him, Ferdinand quickly dodged the rock bullets. Grabbing a sword from his belt, Ferdinand jumped in speed toward Mike.

Ferdinand - "This is the end. "

While he quickly approached his opponent, the ground around Mike suddenly became a pit of spikes hastily closing itself on him. Launching himself on the air, Mike, with a single punch, destroyed all the spikes on the soil. Suddenly met with Ferdinand's blade, the edge of the sword crashed on his arm. With a punch, Mike quickly distant himself with Ferdinand. Swiftly launching himself once again toward Mike, Ferdinand started to once again to slice his opponent. Blocking the strikes launched toward him, Mike, with a well-calculated punch, broke the sword in half. Realizing that his weapon was broken, Ferdinand quickly backed from his enemy in shock. Using his psychic power, Ferdinand dragged Mike to the ground and started to throw him anywhere he sees fit.

Suddenly, Mike disappeared after hitting a rock, leaving only sand and dust behind him.

Ferdinand (surprised) - "What the... Where did he go? "

Looking around him, Mike was nowhere to be found, just like that he vanished from the world.

Ferdinand (in a panic) - "Impossible, I was in control of him! How could he get away from me? My power is unmatched he could not possibly be stronger than me. "

Mike (appearing behind Ferdinand's back) - "Your power won't change the fact that your head will be reduced into a fine red mist. "

Turning his head to face Mike, he was quickly met with a punch from his opponent. Dodge to the side, Ferdinand was suddenly stabbed in the neck by a piece of sharp rock. Quickly flying away from Mike, Ferdinand hastily removed the piece from his neck.

Ferdinand (in pain) - "Gack! Impossible... I was holding your... (in shock) "

Mike was standing in front of him without his armour.

Mike - "You were holding me, yes, but it was my armour you were holding. By taking it off, my armour becomes invisible and by diving underground, I managed to sneak to your back which explains why you lost track of me. "

Ferdinand (ashamed) - "Something so stupid and simple! "

Mike - "And also knowing you would dodge my punch, I placed rock spikes around your neck so when you dodge my attack you will get yourself impaled. "

Ferdinand - "You were playing smart, congratulation. Now without your armour, let's see if you can hold on to my raw strength! "

In a flash, Ferdinand launched a fist toward Mike's face infused with all of his power.

Kadyn - "Mike! Watch out! "

It was too late to dodge since Ferdinand's speed was unmatched to the n.a.k.e.d eyes. Defending by placing his hand in front of his face, Ferdinand made an impact on the palm of Mike's hand only to slip to the side.

Ferdinand (In shock) - "What the heck?! "

Hitting another rock spike that impaled him through the arm, Ferdinand scream in anger and pain.

Ferdinand - (in pain and anger) - "Gaaack! The f.u.c.k? Impossible! I hit you, I definitively hit you! "

Mike - "I may not hold against the strength of your power but I can redirect part your power to another direction. "

Ferdinand (in pain and anger) - "You little bastard! Gaaack! "

Ferdinand (in his mind) - « I must retreat, this little bastard has tricks that I never faced before. I need to understand his power a bit more before I face him once more. »

All of sudden, Ferdinand dashed to escape Mike but not long after, he hit an invisible wall, breaking several of his ribs.

Ferdinand (in confusion and pain) - "How the hell... "

Mike - "Do I still need to explain? I already said that if we were to fight, I will kill you. "

Ferdinand (in his mind) - « He's serious, he wants me dead, I must find a way to get out of this situation. »

Launching his fist toward Mike, Ferdinand was quickly smacked in the face by a piece of rock.

In a flash, Ferdinand grabbed Kadyn from the ground and pointed his fist against her head.

Ferdinand - "You bastard, you don't want your beloved girl to die, right? Let me go if you don't want me to kill her. "

Mike - "When we first started fighting, I thought you were a respectable opponent who talks respect and equality in battle but now, I realized that you were nothing more than a c.o.c.ky piece of shit! Like all pieces of shit, you will always end up under people's a.s.s. "

Ferdinand (in anger) - "Piece of shit? PIECE OF SHIT? I hope you enjoy seeing her little face distorted into a thousand pieces! "

The corpse of Ferdinand laid on the ground, the ordeal was finally over, for now.

After destroying with ease all the enemy units guarding the small village, Mike freed the prisoners kept inside the village prison. Amount them, all his friends captured 10 months ago by Ferdinand.

Genji (exiting his cell) - "It took you long enough to get us outta here, huh? "

Mike - "It's true but you can at least be thankful that we are all still alive. "

McCree (putting his hand on Mike's shoulder) - "Partner, you alright? "

Mike - "I'm fine, thank you. "

Dane - "Glad to have you back, Mike, Kadyn told me about your return. "

Mike - "Hey, thank you for everything you did to help her and me. "

Dane - "It's nothing. "

Bernhardt (taking to Heavy) - "Aleksei, this is McArthur, our friend... "

Soon, the group made their way back inside the 5th fleet. They were gone for too long to realize that the Talon territories were divided into 9 pieces. Overwatch, during their absence, was able to gain back most of Europe and North Africa. Italy is currently the only country to be under Talon's control in all Europe due to its powerful defences.

*Inside Mike's chamber

Mike entered the room with Kadyn on his side. As he walked to lie on his bed, Kadyn followed him on the bed. Turning her head to look at Mike, she hesitated before opening her mouth.

Kadyn (with a shy voice) - "You know Mike, I... "

Mike already fell asleep as Kadyn talked. Slowly approaching Mike's face, Kadyn looked at the scars and wound on top of it.

Kadyn (while kissing Mike on the face) - "Thank you, Mike, for always being there for me. That wish I made that night was, in reality, a blessing for your future. I would never mind that you don't love me, I only care about you having a bright future in which you can forget all the horror that happened in your life. I was never meant to live if it wasn't for you, I couldn't be happier to be here with you even though we are wanted by the world. "

With that said, Kadyn fell asleep with a smile on her cheek with Mike's arms wrapped around her waist.
