"The new hit idol Nadakai Yūmeijin keeps shattering record after record with her songs!"

It was lunch break at Majimena Academy.

Yūi and Yukkuri were eating their lunches while watching an online video of a blue-haired idol girl performing.

"Don't you think it must be awesome to be an idol?" Yūi said before taking a bite off her riceball.

"You think so?" Yukkuri replied before taking a sip of milk carton.

Yūi's eyes started sparkling. "Fans everywhere cheering your name, all the boys wanting your love and attention, everybody wanting your autograph. . . Doesn't that sound exciting?"

Yukkuri interjected. "No thanks, the shut-in life already brings me more than enough excitement to be perfectly honest."

"Oh really? I thought you wouldn't mind having some influence on people." Yūi replied while taking another bite off her food.

Yukkuri made a thinking face while giving a sinister smile. ". . . To have everyone at my feet, begging for my attention, like slaves awaiting orders from their master."

"Okay, I'm sensing a less than pure aura surrounding you. . ."

Yukkuri continued the conversation. "I wonder how dangerous life as an idol would be though."

"Well don't they have like, security in place, bodyguards and stuff like that?"

"But would you feel safe entrusting your life just to them?" Yukkuri questioned. "Wouldn't you want some form of self-defense I guess?"

"Heh, of course, I already made preparations for self-defense!" Yūi said in a smug tone. Yūi moved a hand to her t.h.i.g.h, and then suddenly threw it into the air holding a flashlight. "Presenting Liebenslight!"

Unsure how to react, the green-haired girl let out a few words. "A. . . flashlight. . ?"

Yūi continued talking in her smug tone. "Not just any flashlight, my dear friend. This is a special flashlight, my mana flowing through it, an extension of myself."

". . . Mana you say. . ?"

"Exactly! It allows me to use all my special attacks! Bam! Rapid Fire Light Barrage! Boom! Beacon Of Eternal Light And Shines!"

". . ."

"And when things get really serious; Super Ultra Hyper Shining Beam!

". . . All you did was shining with your flashlight though."

With a tone as if she was stating the obvious, the ponytail girl said: "Yeah, what did you expect from a flashlight?"

"Well, just something. . . more from that which you're planning on using for self-defense I guess?"

"I can also smack people across the head!" Yūi said as she swung around the flashlight.

"Wouldn't a well-aimed punch to the neck be more effective though?"

"I guess so. . ." Yūi replied in a slightly disappointed tone.

Feeling bad for her, the hair buns girl tried to cheer her up a bit. "Or ehr maybe you could think up some other way to attack with it."

"Hmmm. . ." The girl with red-pink hair started thinking. "I guess I could blind people if I shine it straight into people's faces?"

". . . Is that really your master strategy though?"

In a quick motion, Yūi turned on the flashlight and shined straight into Yukkuri's face. "Don't underestimate the power of blinding li- AAAGGGHHH" . . . Only for Yukkuri's glasses to reflect the light right back at Yūi.

"Good job girl."
