My parents brought us three brothers to a fancy restaurant. I recognized the main entrance with its brass lampposts because sometimes my mother had looked at websites for the place she'd seen on TV shows. Only now I wondered--had she been here before?

The restaurant was supposed to look like an immaculate looking 18th century, French Chateau. A couple of staff members politely greeted us at the entrance and escorted us upstairs. I couldn't help but stunned, the dining room looks breathtaking enough since it was decorated in gold and black hues with crystal sparkling everywhere I look.

The lighting was gentle and soothing. The black table cloth was offset by huge bunches of white flowers and crystals were used as table decoration. The waiters wear immaculate black suites and serve us with a smile plastered on their face and friendly attitude. The menus were in French and English and I was fortunate that I had learned both.

I could see a spectacular scene of various types of mouthwatering bread being served with olive oil or butter. The dishes were mostly tiny enough that I wanted to order more. I won't overeat though—probably. At the end of our meal, what awaited us was a trolley of a variety of desert and before we return, we received a little gift from the restaurant. It was a sweet brioche to take home.

I guess I'll come again.

[Home sweet home…]

I softly murmured while unbuckling my seat belt. Our chauffeur walked around and opened the car's rear door. As he offered his hand, we stepped out and stepped into our house and we started doing our own respective things.

[Otouto! My beloved otouto, oii! What's that on your mouth?!]

I still had no idea why my second brother was screaming at me or why he was shaking my body like I just do unforgivable, even almost crying. Granted, he was seeing his brioche being taken away from his bag while he wasn't looking. It was now being eaten by a huge glutton. I like to make him annoyed. I couldn't understand why he still has time to chat with his friends fully knowing that I sit near him. All social-freak in this world should just die. Correction, human should die and let this dragon take over.

Ah, I was too tired.

[It was asking me to take it, mon frère]

I said this with serene, immaculate confidence, as simple as statement fact. As my remark lingered on the air, Ryouhei was in shock. He jerked away from me, his heart churning as if I had a rifle pointed at his heart.

[…]

[Petit frère]

He suddenly encircled his arm around my neck, smirking maliciously.

[Hmm?]

[Let's talk about something more infinitely serious, won't we?]

He said half-heartedly.

[Oh…and that is?]

I challenged him.

[You see, I took part-time work at a cafe and I couldn't come tomorrow.]

I raised my eyebrow. I didn't know that my brother goes to work. Actually, no one does. I was surprised that he was shockingly good at hiding.

[…]

I just remember that student shouldn't work yet unless he was forced to do it. Kami-sama aka Author-sama?! (Author: Ryuga! I'm a God of this story! Anything is possible with the power of 'Magical tags'! Ryuga: Abus.e.m.e.nt of power!!!)

[You didn't have money? I thought Okaa-sama already gave you a lot though.]

I asked.

[She did but I couldn't use it forever. Furthermore, I'm old enough to do my own things, petit frère.]

*flick*

He flicked my forehead while saying that.

[You know, searching for job experience or something like that.]

I still couldn't understand why he was telling me that. Ryouhei had notice I turned away and he was determined to convince me. He suddenly gripped tightly my shoulders.

[?]

[One day. Help me one day and work in my place.]

I'm sorry?

Furthermore, you could substitute someone to go to work?! Kami-sama! I demand an explanation! (Author: Like I said ... anything is possible in a story!)

[..]

[If I don't?]

He suddenly whispered and I glared at him.

[Fine. I'll get extra income anyway.]

Before I returned to my bedroom, I awkwardly shove him a paper bag that I hold onto his hand and turned my face away to hide my embarrassment. He saw another brioche inside it and paused for a moment. Ryouhei looked at me teary eyes. He started jumping at me and hugged me while showing his brotherly love.

[Petit frère! So, you still love after all *sob* Je t'aime!]

[Ugh…gross, get lost!]

I g.r.o.a.n.e.d inwardly when I realized that I would have to go to work on my weekend. I just hope no one that recognized me would come and ask me if they saw me. I pulled my favorite purple hood up and putting on the mask, I started walking. My elder brother burst out laughing because what else could I do? What I'd said was completely true but it was nuts. He also required a few seconds to install of what I'd said to him.

[Aniki! That's rude. I just stated the truth.]

[I know. It just I was still surprised that my lazy otouto is actually going to be diligent for once.]

He slapped my back. This had never occurred to me since I always stay home and played with my cats. The concept of I going to work in this world was actually so foreign for him and also for me. How many people that I'm going to serve? Is I…actually going to talk to them? Even during my previous lives, I was not the types that work with other people. In fact, most of them didn't even recognize me since I was always doing my adventures alone.

[Anyway…where are you going this late?]

[Going for a walk]

*****

The city lights radiance pierced through the dark sky upon midnight. A white-haired youth walked across the street as he slid his hands into his hoodie pocket. He watched the crowd on impulse. He could hear their chattering with other human beings as if there was a festival. He stared upon the sky as if trying to figure out something that has been going through his mind but he immediately shook his head and continued his walk.

He turned to an alleyway, coated in vile stench on the wall, also on the floor. He suddenly stopped. Taking a deep breath, he broke into a brisk walk and by taking one final step up to the wall with his leg, he used his frenzied momentum to casually springing up into a vertical jump from wall to the other repetitively until he arrived on top of the tall building. He soon pulled himself over the rails on the roof.

I've been always been a night person, so I would often find myself bored after my brothers who decidedly not a night person, went to sleep. To pass the time, I used to go for long walks and spend my time thinking.

I usually spent my years like that even in my past lives, walking alone at night, and never once feel any reason to be afraid. Lying alone here, it was such a quiet night. So many things to me and I actually have been taking it quite hard although I have never shows it.

In fact, after I was born so many times, I would always find myself murmuring while doing a simple venture. It was as simple as that. However, I tried my best that make it disappeared. Make it forget.

At least forever…

[Why…why…why…]

I was originally just a lonely dragon only waiting for my death. I've always hate human for causing my death but I was frightened because I found myself woke up as something that I despised the most, a human. I smelled fear inside me. Something I have never felt before. And, I've started to question my entire existence for a long time.

Oh, what an irony.

How many times was it since I was reincarnated as human? Was it once? Was it twice? I was reincarnated more as a human than my real origin that I began to doubt that I was cursed by them.

I had learned that human was a deceitful being. They could betray each other easily as long as there were benefits on the line. Of course, some of them could prefer loyalty over benefit but to find someone like that was easier said than done. Well, no one knew what they truly hide in their heart. I was just tired. Too tired to even live. I even tried to suicide but sometimes, I became hesitated or sometimes, I was interrupted.

I was just a bystander. I only watched them and their annoying behavior with a hateful gaze. Called me petty, but it's not easy to make a dragon change his mind. It might take forever. I knew that I was stubborn.

Using my strong constitution, I have skillfully done parkour until I had reached the top. I slumped to the roof with my back against the floor. I couldn't help but blankly staring upon the glittering darkness skyward.

[System, are you there?]

System, its entire existence was still a mystery to me even after I was reincarnated more than six lives.

I turned silent for a while before answering the system.
