Chapter 21 - Chloe Rollo

A day has passed, he saw that one of the waitresses is missing. or she probably took a day off. He had been working for the whole night and only get to sleep for 5-6 hours.

As always, he doing his training routine. After his training, he started to use his magic at the wall, opposite to where Bell and Ais trained. He had been experimenting on how to use his magic more efficiently.

After training for hours, he stopped, he looked at the Babel tower. He thought of something, something that happened last night which is not his problem.

During that night which is last night. Silver saw Bete enter the tavern. It's good that he saw him when he is already drunk, bragging his strength and lastly, he said that the new member was useless as he hasn't been active in dungeon exploring.

This angered Silver. He walked towards Bete, punched him right in the face, and kicked him out of the tavern. When Bete tried to go back in, he was dragged by Silver to the Manor. Of course, Bete was angry because he was being dragged like a ragdoll by someone who had just joined, he tried to attack Silver. Unfortunately for Bete, Silver already knew he would try to break free, then Silver punched him in the gut, ribcage, and face, and knocked him down.

Back to the present, Silver was looking at his skills, Fire Javelin, Flaming Fists, and Blazing Aura.

[ Fire Javelin - charge at either left or right hand and throw it in a specific direction. It can also curve while being thrown. Deals 120+(30% Mag. Power) that penetrates 50% of Mag Resist.

[ Flaming Fists - imbues both hands with fire increasing its damage. Deals 120+(40% Phy. Attack)+(50% Mag. Power), it lasts for 8s and can be used again after 2s.

[ Blazing Aura - upon activation of this skill, it increases fire element attacks and raises Strength, Endurance, and Magic by 15%. Deals extra 100+(20% Mag. Power) every second to nearby enemies.

Range: 0-2 meters

MP cost: 120/s

Chant: Blaze ]

Silver nodded seeing the skills. He was satisfied since he trained all of his fire attributed, except Electro Heat Aura, to increase the heat that his attack would emit. For example, he threw a Fire Javelin and only grazed the side of the targets but they were burned until they become nothing.

Where did the targets came from, you ask? Silver bought those targets, the ones used in archery. Where the heck did the bike go too, you ask? Well, ones you have bought something in the system, the system will give you a pocket dimension that can store items that came from the system itself. It can only, and only store things that were bought from the system shop.

Silver finished his training today.

He wore his mask as he goes back down the wall. His working days are on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at day, at night, Saturday and Sunday. It was Saturday right now.

He started to do his job. He met all the waitresses and greeted them, except Chloe. Yesterday, she took her day off so he didn't see her.

"Here are the ingredients that we needed." right now, Silver was cooking with May.

"Thank you for helping me tonight, Sir Silver!" May said.

"Drop the Sir, thingy." he said.

Silver picked up a knife.

Someone entered the kitchen. She has black hair and black cat ears. This was Chloe Rollo, a waitress with another strange and mysterious past.

"What are you going to do?!" Chloe immediately goes defensive as she saw Silver with a mask on his face and holding a knife.

"Woah, there! Calm down, Miss!" Silver said.

But Chloe attacked Silver without hesitation and not even paying attention to what he said just now.

She tried to punch him in his face, only to be palmed away by Silver. She tried to punch him again and again, only to be dodged, palmed away, or blocked by him.

"Come on, calm down!" Silver said as he appeared behind Chloe, grabbing her arms together like he was a policeman.

Soon, Mia appeared.

"Chloe, stop! He is our helper here!" Mia said, calming down Chloe.

Silver released her from his grasp and removed his mask revealing his handsome face.

"Why the heck would someone work while wearing a mask?!" Chloe was really angry and glared at Silver.

"I don't want them to know who I am!" Silver sighed.

"Why?" Chloe asked.

"Because I'm handsome and famous!" Silver said while stroking his hair with his hand.

In Chloe's eyes when she saw him do that, she felt she saw her special someone but something is missing.

"Just kidding! I'm not that handsome." Silver said and smiled since Chloe didn't reply.

Chloe's face turned red.

"Hey! Are you okay? Um... I think sh-" before Silver even finished, he saw that only he and Chloe are in there.

All he could do was to start cooking the orders. Chloe also started to work as well.

Silver was cleaning all the plates, spoons, forks, and mugs. He had just started to wash them, he stopped as there was someone who entered the kitchen.

"Aren't you going to rest?" Silver continued to wash the plates without even looking at the figure.

"Let me help you." it was Chloe.

Silver didn't stop her from helping him. Both of them washed the plates.

"Are you here for something?" Silver broke the ice.

"Actually, I'm here to say sorry. I'm sorry that I attacked you so suddenly." she said.

"Don't worry, all is well, isn't it?" Silver looked at her and smiled.

She blushed when she saw his smile.

"You have a great family." Silver suddenly said.

Chloe was startled at his words.

"I... don't have a family." she frowned.

"Yes, you do." Silver finished washing the last plate.

"What do you mean?" she was confused.

Silver picked up and placed all the plates neatly at their respective places.

"Hostess of Fertility is your home, after all." he said.

"..." she didn't say anything.

"You know, I really like cats, especially the black ones." he said and smiled.

What Silver said was true, though it was only before he got reincarnated. His love for black cats was so high that he would protect them even if it is cost his own life. The last time he protected a cat was before his death.

Hearing what Silver said, she blushed. Unexpectedly, Silver c.a.r.e.s.sed her head making her blush more.

Chloe was a shotacon, after all. Even though Silver was already 15, he can still be called a young boy excluding his mental age.

"Oh, yeah!"

"What is it?" she was startled.

"We haven't introduced ourselves. My name is Silver, Silver Cranel. Nice to meet you!" he said and smiled at her.

"M-my name is Chloe, Chloe Rollo. Nice to meet you too!" she said while blushing at his handsomeness.
