The next day, Bell hurriedly ran into the Babel to find some armors and weapons that can replace his dagger and his armor that was just a small b.r.e.a.s.tplate issued by the Guild for new Adventurers.

At an early time, around sunrise. Bell readied himself for the day. Syr gave her lunch for Bell to eat so he wouldn't need to buy one.

Bell doesn't want to take it, however, she said that it was okay to take it since she can always eat leftovers.

Bell started to look on the 4th floor of Babel as it was the floor where the Hephaestus Familia has many shops. Specifically, they were shops with different types of weapons each, different types of armors like heavy and light armors. All were separated base on their types and the specialty of each shop.

For example, there is a shop that sells many short swords and daggers but they don't sell great swords or pole weapons. A shop that sells heavy armors with different defensive capabilities but doesn't sell any light armors. There are also shops that sell special accessories with special effects like anti paralysis.

Bell found a shop that sells various types of armors. He started searching everywhere inside the shop where he saw many light armors. Only one had caught his eye.

A set of light armor that was placed in a box. When he took the b.r.e.a.s.tplate, it was light, lighter than that of his b.r.e.a.s.tplate he used. He took the whole box since it was a whole set of armor and placed it in front of the shop owner.

"Ah, I see! You have good eyes." the shop owner said.

"Sir, how much will it cost me?"

"Since it was a whole set, it will be around 75 thousand Valis. That armor was just created by a new member of Hephaestus Familia and its materials were not that good. Pyonkichi Mk-I, the first armor that kid created." said the owner.

"75 thousand Valis? I'll buy it!" Bell counted his money and paid the owner.

Bell walked climbed further up until he saw many knives displayed just right in front of each store that sells knives.

He saw many knives but only one caught his attention. A knife that is 30cm long, longer than his current dagger.

The knife's blade was a one-sided edge with a pale white color blade. From just one look, it is sharper than a dagger, a great weapon perfectly fitted just for him.

"You've got a good taste for knives and daggers, huh?" a man who is polishing a sword had been observing Bell.

"Yes! They are easy to use and lightweight, they are also sharp and very durable base on materials used to create them." Bell turned to look at the shop owner.

"You have at least the basic knowledge about weapons, eh? You're smarter than you look. Anyway, the name's Garon, and I'm one of the best smiths in Hephaestus Familia." Garon proudly introduced himself.

"I'm Bell Cranel, nice to meet you!" Bell was happy to be complimented.

"That knife over there has no name, you can call it anything you want but if you want to buy it, you'll have to pay over 100 thousand Valis as it was made of a Bugbear's Nails." Garon started to polish his sword again.

"I'll buy it!"

"Let me see... Hmm... It's about 120 thousand Valis."

"Here, 120 thousand Valis!" Bell paid it and quickly climbed down the tower.

It took him almost 12 hours just to search for a set of armor and a weapon. He's very grateful to both Syr and his brother, Silver, for helping him.

Syr gave him her lunch for him to eat if he were hungry even though Bell has enough money, and Silver gave him money that helped him so much in many ways since Bell can't make that much money as he hadn't joined any Familia that's why he couldn't get further down the dungeon to earn more.

Now, Bell walked back to the tavern so he can eat dinner and rest early for the next day.

When he stepped in, what he saw was quite unexpected in his part.

"Oh! Hey, White Hair~nya!" Bell was greeted by a cat person whose hair was a c.h.e.s.tnut brown color and her eyes were gold who was holding the dishes.

"Anya, be careful with the dishes!" a human waitress whose hair was light brown and brown eyes.

All the dishes were falling down but in an instant, a purple glow appeared out of nowhere and no sound of falling or breaking dishes but rather, they were held by someone and at the same time stopped Anya from falling down.

Bell couldn't believe what he was seeing right now. His brother was just in front of his eyes.

"Yo, Bell!" Silver greeted Bell by doing a two-finger salute.

"Brother? How come you are here?" confused, he started asking his brother.

"Yesterday, didn't I say, 'may we meet again'? And besides, I work here as an all-around worker." Silver smiled quickly walked into the kitchen.

"Is that so? But why didn't you tell me that you work here?" Bell asked.

"Well, I also want to take a temporary leave for a few weeks so I can go visit our home village." Silver said and he added, "And I want to say, advance happy birthday, Bell!"

Silver then walked in the kitchen and came back with a box. The box was big that it made the people around them wonder what is inside the box.

"Let's open it tomorrow, at dawn, is that okay with you?" Bell nodded at Silver and Silver turned to look at the girls, "You girls can come too." he said in a low volume but a clear voice with a smile.

The girls understood why he said that. After all, when someone is celebrating their birthday, it's better to have more celebrant. As the saying said, "The more, the merrier".

After they are done eating, they climb up to the second floor where those rented rooms are. Bell entered his room and slept. Silver also entered his room but he didn't sleep, instead, he hurried back down and helped the girls to serve Adventurers. Since he was the one, the Purple Flash, who will serve them their food and/or drinks and get their order in a "Flash".

With Silver's help, the waitresses' work has lessened. Even if it's just a little, it was enough as they were not as fast as him. Also, with Silver helping May, the cook of the tavern, a cat person, the foods that were cooked was served faster by a notch.

The tavern was open at day around 8 AM and closed at night until 10 PM. They are open for a total of 14 hours, 7 hours to serve the citizens and 7 hours to serve the Adventurers. For someone like Silver, it doesn't seem too much since he was working.

Bell was having a good dream tonight, a dream that he always wanted to be. He wants to become as strong as his brother and do heroic deeds like how his brother did before. (Our MC's past will be revealed in the future chapters.)

The next morning, Bell woke up at dawn as what his brother said to him. He really wants to know what is inside the box.
