Danmachi: Dragon Heart System

Chapter 8 - Arrival & Separation Fee?

An Old man was seen running towards the two young men. Obviously, this was Old man Taro, the blacksmith who was ordered by Silver to create him a weapon that suits him most. He's carrying the weapon right now.

"Silver, you forgot your weapon!" Taro yelled as he ran toward Silver and Bell.

"Oh, I almost forgot!" he's not a forgetful person but if he was busy, he might forget something.

"Hey, Brother. What does he mean your weapon?" Bell asked as he didn't know about it.

"Um... I was out hunting and I found goblins that have a large sack with them, so I thought of attacking one to see what does it contains. Fortunately, they were Mythril ores. Seeing many of those ores at the hands of the goblins, I annihilated them in order to stop what was those goblins want to do." he said and added, "I also decided to use some of it to make Old man Taro a weapon for me. Some of them will probably be a weapon for the guards at the village as those monsters."

"Those Mythril ores are pretty hard to turn them into ingots which shows its superiority when it comes to sturdiness and can be used as a weapon with high cutting power, pretty neat ain't it?" he explained as he reached the two. "Anyway, here are your weapons. I know this one won't make a good impression on people but it is compatible with you as you already know how to use a sickle."

Silver was confused with the sentence 'here are your weapons' as he looks at Old Taro.

"Did you just say, weapons?" he finally asked.

"Well, I think you won't be using it always plus I made Bell a dagger, a Gradius, yours was a Gladius and a Buckler, take good care of 'em!" he said as he pulled them out showing them to him.

Even though these things are heavy, Old man Taro was a dwarf so it was not a problem for him to carry such heavy things.

"Thanks!" he put them in the carriage they rented that just arrived a few minutes ago.

These carriages need strong and good breeds of horses to be able to travel. Good thing is, he bought the very carriage and hired Albert as the driver.

"Hey, sir Albert. Are you ready?" he asked and smiled with courage and excitement showing on his face.

"Of course! Let's go! It's a good thing that I have this horse when I arrived here." he said as the horse was his.

Bell stepped in first before Silver since he was busy placing them at the back. The carriage looked like a pick-up truck.

Silver removed all his weights even before this day as not to tire the horse, however, he has one problem. He can't carry his heavy weapon while riding the carriage or he might destroy his only way of transportation.

So he decided to buy a bicycle that is very sturdy, sturdier than a normal one and can carry a thousand kilograms. Albert, Jack, Bell, and Taro kept asking him from where did he get his 'bicycle', he lied that he was the one who invented it just a few days ago.

Silver's Dragon Staff was strapped on his back using a strong bag that fits his staff in his back that is nearly unbreakable unless burned.

He pedaled his way to the south, to Orario as he learned where it is exactly.

He reached his destination just right before Bell. He's faster than a horse using the bike. Heck, he was even as fast as a Ducati motorbike that had reached almost 200 kmph. He was even faster than Hayate when it comes to bicycles.

Since he was already here, he walked directly to the Guild. On his way, people were looking at him as he was a new face in this city.

Upon entering the guild, he saw familiar faces. Of course, these were the Guild Employees of the Guild. He walked near the counter from where is Bell's most trusted dungeon adviser.

"Hello, sir! How may I help you?" asked Eina.

"Hello, miss Beautiful. Can I register to be an Adventurer?" direct to the point as he is.

Eina blushed as she was called beautiful by a fairly handsome young man.

"There are some requirements to register as an Adventurer, you need to listen closely." she said, "The requirements were: You need to have at least 10,000 Valis, with a familia, and strong enough to go into the dungeon."

"Great! Here's 10,000 Valis!" he pulled out a pouch and counted the coins until it was exactly 10,000 Valis.

"Wait! You can't just use your own money, you have to earn them on your own through the dungeon." she didn't expect he has that much money.

"Oh, okay." he thought for second before he said, "How about, you hold my money then I will go and earn in the dungeon. And also, if you met a boy named Bell, give him half of my money after he finished the registration even if it takes time."

"Oh, okay. Are you perhaps his brother?" she asked.

"Well, yes. I'll go now and collect half of my money tomorrow after I earned 10,000 Valis on my own, bye!" he said and waved goodbye to Eina.
