Delayed Transfer

“If Donald or the person he assigned joins you, will it be dangerous?”  Elizabeth asked, worried.

“Yes.  We are going to be fighting real live monsters who are very cruel and will not hesitate in killing those they consider their enemies, which we are.  Not only that, they will have skills that they can use like the monsters on the video clip that I’ve shown you.”  Mark told Elizabeth seriously then he continued.

“At first it wouldn’t be dangerous since the monsters on the early levels of the dungeon will be what we call, easy monsters but even then, a goblin can still kill a careless man.”  Mark went to his laptop and showed them a picture of a typical goblin which really resembled the one from his dungeon.

“As the dungeon diving, that’s what we call challenging the dungeon, progress, the monsters will get harder but the dropped items will be better and more powerful as well.  The ring and the shoes that I gave you was from a level 10th floor boss monster called an Orc King.”  He showed a picture of an orc king from the internet which approximately looked like the one in the dungeon.

“It was very hard to defeat and I almost got killed but as you’ve seen,p the rewards were much better.  You called it a very powerful artifact and even though it’s very powerful it's still what we can call a low level item.”  Mark said although it wasn’t true that his life was ever in danger.  He just wanted to make sure they understood the danger of the dungeon.

Donald pondered for a bit.

“Can you give an example of what you consider a powerful item?”

“The possibilities are limitless.  You can get an item that will allow you to defy gravity and fly or allow you to breathe underwater and make it possible for you to explore the depths of the ocean by yourself.  You can also get consumable items that will defy time and allow you to become younger although that one hasn’t been confirmed, it’s just my speculation but still, since as I have said that the possibilities are endless, we can get anything."

“How many people can you take on this…dungeon dive?” Donald asked while Elizabeth was looking at him worriedly.  Mark speculated that more than likely, based on Elizabeth’s worries and the gleam in Donald’s eyes, he would not be assigning the role to anyone else but take it for himself. 

Mark couldn’t blame Donald.  It’s going to be an adventure of a lifetime and who wouldn’t want to be a part of it.

“We haven’t tested the limit yet.  In a typical MMO game, a regular dungeon will let you form, four, eight and sixteen party members but event raid can go up to 100 people or even more but for now there will be five of us including the would be healer.”

Mark waited for Donald’s response since it was very obvious that he was thinking very deeply.  Surprisingly it was Elizabeth who answered first.

“Of course we will pay for the role.”  She then turned to Donald.

“We can assign my nephew as their healer.  You know he’s really into this stuff and I’m sure that he will be overjoyed to be part of something like this.”

Donald looked at Elizabeth still thinking and not answering her.  Elizabeth got more worried.  Mark could see the decision in Donald’s eyes and so did Elizabeth.  Mark then took hold of Elizabeth’s hand. 

“I will take care of him.  I promise you, he will not be in danger.  Usually, healers stays at the back and just heals who is injured.  The scepter that I will be giving him is a long range item meaning he didn’t need to be near the monsters or the person he needs to heal.  He can shoot a holy bolt to injured party member and that party member will be healed, and if God forbids a monster did come near him, he can hit it with a Holy Bolt from the item and it will be stunned giving him the time to get away.”

“How did you know that I will be the one coming with you?”  Donald asked.  Elizabeth snorted.

“I know you! And even Mark can see your decision and you still asked that!  Just promise me you will be careful.  Please.  You’re not a young man.” Donald got embarassed.

“Hey!  I’m not yet fifty, I can still go on adventures!  You can come with me and you can stay with me at the back and once we got an item for you, you can join the combat.”

Elizabeth turned to Mark questioningly.  He can see that Elizabeth was also ready and very much willing to join Donald on his adventures. Mark could see how they ended up together.

“You can join us.  I can protect you and Donald.  We will be depending on you and Donald for our livelihood in the real world so it’s in my best interest to make sure that you two are very much safe.  I’m very powerful, even my friends didn’t know how powerful I am.”  Mark boasted.

“Okay!  I’m ready! When are we doing this.  I feel so young again just like those days when I first started my business.”  Donald said, very excited on the prospect of having an adventure. 

“We will be having a meeting tomorrow once everybody is here and I will call you so you can come in and join us.  My friends are very excited as well so more than likely our first dungeon dive will be the day after tomorrow.”

“Alright!  I will also ask for your friend’s account numbers then so I can pay you the money.  I will also be doing a lot of preparing today.  I will go see my doctor for a full body check up and to make sure my body and Elizabeth’s are ready for adventure again!”

“The first dungeon dive will probably last as long as eight hours so please prepare for some food and water that you can carry and of course medicine, just in case.”  Mark advised Donald and Elizabeth.

“We will be going then so we can start the preparation.” Donald and Elizabeth stood up, hugged Mark and went home to prepare.
