Delayed Transfer

After Donald and Elizabeth departed, Mark received a call from the architect and he was asking if he was available for consult.  Since it was still early and more than likely, his friends would take several more hours, he agreed to meet with Sebastian.  The architect then said that he will be there in 20 minutes.

Mark let the architect in when he arrived.  They talked in the living room where he was shown a bunch of pictures of medieval style two story homes.  Honestly, he was very surprised with the variety and he could see that Sebastian was very please to see his reaction.  Mark perused the designs and chose a three bedroom, two story medieval looking house.  It had all the modern amenities that he could think of. 

Mark then told the architect that he would like to rent a warehouse where the architect’s company could put in the complete list of materials that were needed to complete the house.  He also asked if its possible to get a step by step video instruction on how to build the house.  Again, Mark was very surprised that the videos of the step by step instruction on how to build this type of building was already available and Sebastian said that he was not even the 10th one who had the same request. 

Sebastian said they would find  a suitable warehouse and then give him the list of the prices of the materials that he would need as well as the rent price of the warehouse and the price of the video instruction but then he told Mark that Donald Dren requested for a copy of the prices as well and Mark agreed.  After that, Sebastian went on his way happily to prepare for the project and advised Mark that he would call him in two days once everything was prepared. 

Mark was very much happy and surprise that the eccentricities of rich folk who wanted to go back to basic paved the way on how easy it was to fulfill his desire to have a good looking old style house that will fit the forest clearing on the 11th floor.

Mark played Diablo 4 on his laptop for an hour when he received a call from Donald Dren.  Donald was asking why he needed a design and materials for a medieval style house and Mark said he needed it for a personal project.  After the call Mark went back to playing until Sam arrived with Melissa.

“What the heck Mark!  Why didn’t you invite me on this Dungeon Dive!?” Melissa shouted.

Mark looked at Sam and Sam just shrugged.  Melissa saw that and she snorted.

“Do you think Sam can keep anything from me?  He actually told me that you invited your guild mates to live with you so all of you can focus on gaming.  With just one twist of his ears, he spilled everything!”

“You believed him!”  Mark said innocently.

“Of course I didn’t believe him but then he told me you can prove it so here I am!.”

“I thought you don’t like nerd stuff Melissa?”

“If its in the computer it’s nerd stuff but if it’s real, it’s an adventure!  Just like going to Europe!” Melissa said excitedly.

"It is definitely not like going to Europe!  We will be killing monsters and you will see brains and guts spilled all over the floor!” Mark said, exaggerating the grossness.

“Yuck!  Is that true?”  Melissa asked looking sick.

“Yes it’s true!”

“I still want to see the portal!”

Mark invited Melissa to the party and after instructing her on what to do to accept it, they all went to the basement to show her the portal.  When Melissa saw it, she was full of wonder.  She then turned to Mark.

“So what happened in that Warehouse was your doing?”

“Yes. It’s a skill from an item that I got from the dungeon and I almost died before I defeated the monster who dropped it.  Unfortunately, I’m the only one who can use it.”  Mark then removed Melissa from the Party and the dungeon portal disappeared from her sight.  They went upstairs to continue talking.

“I would have asked you to join us, but this is not your cup of tea.  This adventure as you call it will be bloody and dirty.  What Sam and I really want you to do is to manage the people who is doing the project for me.”  Mark said to Melissa.  After thinking for a bit Melissa replied.

“Okay, I’ll do that for you as long as you pay me well.  Oh by the way we received an notice from the telecommunication company about the large download that we were doing and when I called them to ask about it, they said that it’s a standard procedure to investigate this types of activities to prevent illegal businesses.  I told them we were paying the internet fees promptly but they said that we will need to give them the details on why there’s a large amount of download.”

“I see.  Let me call somebody about this.”

Mark called Donald’s brother, the lawyer and told him about his project details and the request of the telecommunication company.  Donald’s brother then said that he would handle it.  He was advised that he may need to create a company to continue doing his project but then Mark said the download was actually not for business but personal.  Donald’s brother said that he would take care of it.

Mark told Melissa that it was taken care of and to continue with the project.  He then told Sam that he still need to inspect Melissa and the employee’s work to make sure that the project was without any issues and to not forget to bring the laptops and hard drives to him every week.  Sam said he understood and would do so.

Melissa then asked why couldn’t she live with the team as well since she knew what was happening already.  Mark then said there’s no more room and if she really want to live there, she would need to talk to Armina first.  Mark suggested that she could go get her own nicer place and then find a business location for the project where she and her employees could go everyday.  Mark advised Sam to start doing that as to prevent and issues with the project.

Mark called Donald’s brother again and gave Sam’s number so they could coordinate with each other to make everything legal for the project.  Mark found it weird that he needed to do these steps since he was only downloading animes, webnovels, movies, music and games and he was paying for it anyways but he guessed that the large amount triggered some flags.
