Delayed Transfer

Mark and his buddies ended the day with the plan to continue with the decoration of their cosplay costumes for the upcoming comic con on Friday.   The next day, Mark woke up early and went to the 11th floor to continue the construction of his Villa after a quick breakfast.  He was really enjoying the process of creating everything by himself and after a couple of hours, he inspected what he had done so far and was very happy.

He went outside the dungeon and the group was already busy in completing the designs of their costumes.  Mark was planning to wear his mage set but with the help of Armina and Enleed, his set became darker and grittier.  It didn’t look like a costume but an actual clothes of a mage going on an adventure.  Enleed set was unfortunately a leather set since they were still in the second floor of the dungeon and the first mage set would only drop on the third floor of the dungeon.  That meant that everybody else were wearing the leather set.

Late afternoon came and everybody’s leather set was done.  When Mark inspected the get up as a whole, he was thoroughly impressed with Armina and Enleed’s design capability.  Even though the leather set armor were basically identical with each other, with their efforts, the difference now was so complete that you wouldn’t know that the sets were the same. 

The overall theme were dark, gritty, fantasy adventurer sets.  Everybody couldn’t wait to go to the Cosplay event on Saturday which was the day after tomorrow.  Mark then requested something from the group that they found a bit weird.  He requested that they bring all the armor to his room and let it remain there for about an hour since he would do something magically on the armor.  Everybody complied and brought the equipment to Mark’s room.

When everybody was gone, Mark put all of the equipment into his Inventory and activated his skill Inventory Item Restoration. All of the design were perfected by the System and even the temporary ones like temporary dye were made permanent.  All the imperfection were cleaned and every added component were enhanced by the magic of the System.  When he removed the sets from his Inventory, he was really impressed on what the System Interface did with the armors. They looked like they were made by highly skilled craftsmen for actual adventuring and slaying of monsters instead of costumes.

Mark called everybody to get their equipment and when everyone saw the changes that happened, they couldn’t believe how real the armor looked.  As if somebody went to a fantasy world and stole the equipment of adventurers.  Armina asked how he did it and he said that it was a secret.  Mark was happy that nobody insisted on knowing how he did it.  Everyone took their armor set and wore it to check how it would look and Mark couldn’t help but gasp on how good everyone looked.

Everyone looked like they were ready to battle as if they were actors from the set of the Lord of the Rings movie.  Armina then said that they didn’t even need to wear makeup.  Mark asked everybody what would they say when anybody asked which anime or movie their costumes were from and Sam just shrugged and said that they should just say that it’s a generic adventurer costumes.

Everyone then went outside to eat to celebrate their successful costume design project.  While eating, Mark asked everyone if they were happy with their current living condition and if they have any suggestion of changing anything in the house.  Enleed turned to him and answered him with a serious expression.

“Mark, I really want to thank you.  This has been the happiest I’ve been in my life.  I’m living in a real life guild house together with like minded people.  My people.  Expecting to do a dungeon dive every week wielding unimaginable magic in real life battling monster.  This is a dream come true Mark and you made it possible for me.  I came from a family who persecuted me because of the things I love.  I can’t shudder but imagine what my life could’ve been if I was gay as well.  We haven’t been doing this for so long but right now, I’m content.”  Armina suddenly hugged Enleed and everyone laughed when he pushed her face away.

“Sam told me that the dungeon diving could only last a year because of the durability of your item but I don’t care.  I am treasuring this moment and know without a doubt that this year would be the happiest that I will be experiencing so far maybe ever.”  Armina hugged Enleed again and she actually burst into tears.  Even Sam was a bit teary eyed. 

Mark himself felt he would cry any moment.  He felt that each one of them were broken trying to find comfort on the things they love.  He hoped in his heart that not everyone in their community had a sad background.  Then he thought of Sam and he had a good background where even though his family couldn’t understand, they didn’t hate him for it, and Mark felt a bit comforted.

“Enough with the sadness.  It’s different now.  We’re true blue adventurers who battles monsters and were now celebrating.  Let’s go get drunk!”  Mark shouted and everyone cheered and agreed.  After that, they went bar hopping and drowned themselves in alcohol.

The next morning, Mark woke up at around noon.  He thought that with his physical stats, he wouldn’t be affected by alcohol so much but he was wrong.  They partied until the wee hours of the morning and just got back when daylight was coming in from the horizon.  His head was hurting so much that he cast Dryad’s Circle.  After a few seconds, Mark felt alive again and knew that his friends were suffering as much as him  before he used Dryad’s Circle but he didn’t plan to offer to heal them.  What he wanted to do was to taunt them and he laughed hard.

Mark went to the 11th floor to work on his villa and was really proud on what he had done so far.  Based on what he could see, it would probably take him at least only two more weeks to complete it.  Since it was already in the afternoon, he planned to continue his solo dungeon diving the next week since tomorrow would be the comic con and Sunday would be their group dungeon dive.  So he went outside to check how everyone was.
