Devil's Word Magic In Fairy Tail

Today, Gildarts and Cana are setting out on a journey so that Cana can learn Crash Magic.

"Well then everyone, we'll be off now." Gildarts said to all of the guild members that had come to send them off on their way

A lot of people were concerned about Cana's wellbeing as she was still just a normal child and Gildarts was... Well, Gildarts...

"Be careful out there! We don't want our little Cana to get hurt now do we?" Said Macao

"Yeah! If she returns bruised or anything like that you'll have all of us to answer to Gildarts! So keep her safe!" Wakaba threatened Gildarts with a smile.

"Oui, make sure she gets enough rest too, okay Gildarts?" Reedus said concernedly

"Good luck with your training Cana! Come back as a splendid Fairy Tail mage!" Laxus encouraged her

And other such sentences were being thrown at Gildarts and Cana

"Don't worry! I can keep my own child safe okay! Sheesh…"

That his face was twitching a little and the look of it basically said 'Do you think I'm an idiot? Of course she'll be fine damn it!'

"Goodbye everyone! Goodbye Arthur nii! See you later!" Cana waved goodbye to me and the rest of the guild

"Yeah, see ya later Cana! Make sure you steal all of Gildarts' moves! Since I doubt he's a good teacher anyway. Hahaha!" I said as I waved back to her

"Sure thing, I'll do my best! Hehehe." She replied.

"And how would you know that! In fact… I'm a great teacher! I'll teach her well and diligently so you don't have to worry about anything! Got it?" Gildarts replied to my comment on him being a bad teacher and seemed quite irritated... Is he actually bad then?

They then boarded a train and soon it took off, now they're completely gone from sight…

"Whelp, there they go…" I said

"Yeah, I wonder if Cana will be able to actually learn Crash Magic…" Laxus said

"I think she can! Only problem is if she's as destructive with it as her father is! Hahaha!" Wakaba laughed

"You got that right! Hahaha!" Macao also laughed

"I'd say there's going to be another bigger problem too…" I silently said under my breath while thinking of Cana drinking over 30% of the guild's liquor budget away in the future…

"You say something Arthur?" Laxus asked me

"Oh no, Nothing at all… Don't worry about it." Yeah… I'd better keep my mouth shut about this haha…

I mean who'd be able believe that a cute and adorable little girl like Cana will one day end up as the greatest alcoholic this guild has ever seen?!

Heck didn't she drink like 50 barrels of booze once in one go? I might be off on the number a little but still…

Three weeks passed and I've been going on 100,000+ jewel reward jobs every day.

Whether they were combat related or about collecting rare herbs, flower and other plants I managed to finish them in less than a day by abusing my magic's unique capabilities of basically being able to do anything I need it to do as long as I have the magic power needed...

Heck I even did one job where I had to capture ten mountain Vulcans for a circus…

It was good money, 50,000 jewels per Vulcan! That's 500,000 jewels in all!

So yeah, maybe I should stop going on jobs for a while… I've saved up quite a bit of money after all.

I've placed all of it inside my {Storage} spell and currently I have 7,250,000 jewels! Not bad for piggy bank savings huh?

If converted in USD$ it would be about 72,500 dollars… Sweet!

As I won't be working I think I'll spend most of my time now trying to learn to use both Mana Skin and Mana Zone…

Mana skin shouldn't be too hard to learn, since it's just coating yourself in mana or in this world's case Ethernano/Magic Power.

Apparently most Magic Knights in the Black clover verse use it unconsciously at one point or another…

Then have I used it?

I guess I'd have no way of knowing if I have now would I…?

Either way I should try to learn how to use it consciously from now on!

The technique is considered basic but essential! It can protect you from both attacks and the environment so it's quite useful.

As for Mana Zone…

It allows the manipulation of the mana or in this case the Ethernano around its user, it also has quite a bit of perks to go along with it.

The user's reaction time is enhanced, their senses are heightened and they can discharge more magic power than they personally have.

The magic power can be used for their personal spells and can be discharged from any and all directions within the zone.

I don't know if i'll be able to learn Mana Zone in a short period of time... It seems quite hard to do after all.

For now I should start with Mana Skin...

The most effective method of training it is by going to grand magic zones where the mana is violent and uncontrollable!

Because of that maintaining the technique becomes hard as the coating has to adjust constantly to the ever changing mana…

I don't know if I can find a similar place to that here in Earthland though…

I guess I need to do it the old fashioned way and rely on sheer time consuming training! Sweet…

Three months later it was December and I had made quite a bit of progress in using Mana skin.

I can now cover myself in a coating of magic power at will!

It protects me from any incoming attacks and even better, it protects me from the environment!

With it I now walk in a scorching desert without breaking a sweat or in snowy mountains while only wearing u.n.d.e.r.w.e.a.r! Kinda like Gray I guess but I just don't have a stripping habit...

With this and my two other defense spells 'barrier layer' and 'steel skin' I should have enough defense to be able to go head to head against Zev or anyone else with similar physical strength no problem!

Well that's just talking about Zev from one year ago…

By the time I meet him again he'll have grown much more powerful than back then!

But that doesn't mean I won't have as well!

For now it's time I went and visited Roseyard village's graveyard where my parents and everyone else are buried.

As today is the anniversary of that event one year ago…

Today is December 15 X772.

I bought a bouquet of roses and cast {Gate} to travel back to my hometown that is now but a huge field of roses.

A true Rose yard if you will…

I walked to the big tree on the hill and sat in front of the graves of my family and friends placing a rose at each grave.

Heh, this might become a yearly thing for me to do…

I still have no leads on the tower of heaven and so I've no idea where Matthew and Lilith are currently.

That is if they're still alive of course…

If Erza can still escape the tower in this timeline I hope she takes them with her to Fairy Tail, that way we could have a touching reunion! Haha…haa…

Maybe not… I did basically abandon them after all…

No amount of apologizing can fix what's been done and I don't plan on begging for their forgiveness either.

I don't expect to get it after all...

That day, if I had only teleported to them and escaped with everyone via a {Gate} spell instead of running away by myself…

They wouldn't have had to go through any pain or suffering…

They might not even know I abandoned them is the worse part...

Never mind... There is no use in dwelling in the past I guess. I need to look forward to the future!

I spent the rest of the day talking to my parent's graves.

About what has happened since that day and what I'm hoping to achieve in the future.

For starters I need to find the Tower of Heaven and I need to kill both Zev and his father…

Those are my two current goals! And they're quite hard already!

After that there's dealing with all of the problems of the future like the Balam alliance, Zeref and Acnologia…

Finally there is the year of X795…

That year will be the year of the death match with all of the remaining participants.

A good twenty two years and a few months away from now, guess I've got my hands full huh?
