The days and weeks went by and about a year after leaving, Gildarts and Cana finally came back to the guild.

It was September 22nd of X773

"Citizens of Magnolia! The city will now change to Gildarts shift! Residents, please move to the designated areas!"

The announcement rang across Magnolia and the City split creating a straight path towards Fairy Tail's guildhall.

"Ohhh! It's Cana and Gildarts! They're finally back!" Macao exclaimed and seemed quite excited to see them after a whole year

"It's finally time huh? Boy, they sure took their sweet time didn't they? Hahaha!" Wakaba laughed and was also excited

The front doors of the guild opened and Gildarts walked in together with Cana who had grown a bit taller than last time.

She also had longer hair.

"Yo! We're back!" Gildarts said while waving his hand towards everyone with a smile on his face

"Welcome home Gildarts, Cana. I assume your journey was fruitful?" Makarov asked

"But of course! Watch this…" Cana said and tapped the wall next to the front door

The wall then turned into cubes and was destroyed creating a hole in its place.

"The wall…!" some people were surprised while others seemed like they expected as much.

"Sweet! So you managed to learn crash magic huh, Cana? Good job!" Arthur yelled from the back and came walking forward.

"Yeah! I sure did! Hehehe!" Cana laughed and was happy to be praised.

"Hey Arthur, could you fix the wall? Otherwise I'm taking it out of Gildarts' budget." Makarov asked Arthur.

"W-what?! Come on! I didn't even break it myself this time!" Gildarts rebuked to Makarov's comment on him paying for the wall

"Your daughter did. Parent's responsibility." Makarov replied

"... Fine, I get it... Arthur if you could please save my wallet." Gildarts asked

"Sure, I can do that. {Repair}!" Arthur then cast his repair spell and completely recreated the wall out of the little cubes that remained.

"Thank you my boy."

"Yeah, no problem gramps!"

Needless to say, the Fairy Tail guild's building was loud as hell during the entire night.

A huge welcome party was thrown for Gildarts and Cana's return and also to congratulate her on learning her father's 'Crash' magic.

As expected, it ended as an all-out brawl followed up by everyone being hung over the next morning…

As for after that you ask?

Well… Cana would later on prove to be quite a problem child…

Because Gildarts said she was quite good with 'Crash' magic and was strong enough to take care of herself, Makarov allowed her to take any requests other than 'S' rank and above like he did with Arthur.

The problem here was…

On any jobs she went she would mostly destroy everything in her way to reach her end goal of completing the task given to her.

Most of her earnings went in reparations for the damages she caused, even Gildarts had to pitch in from his own purse a couple of times…

Yeah, it was that bad!

As for other matters… The guild had another 'peaceful' and 'mostly' uneventful year, other that all of the normal stuff that happens.

Like the Magic Council giving Makarov an earful about literally everything the guild members do!

Breaking and destroying things is the damn motto at this point!

Hahaha! You gotta love Fairy Tail ey?

(Arthur's POV)

This December I visited Roseyard village again.

I guess I really will be doing this every year huh?

Anyway, now I'm nine years old and by the end of this year Gray should come and join the guild…

How do I know this even though I actually forgot what year he comes to the guild you ask?

Well…

A job request came in to the guild today, Gramps seemed shocked at its contents and made it into an 'SS' class job nearly instantly.

Job Location: Land of Isvan (A neighboring country to the East of Fiore)

Job Description: To all TOP Mages of any neighboring countries, please! Vanquish Deliora and save the people suffering under his mindless destructions! He has already destroyed many settlements in Isvan and his destructive path might even reach other countries soon!

No one actually managed to see its contents, but I was quite interested in a job request that could make even the great Makarov Dreyer instantly remove it from the public eye and place it as an 'SS' rank job.

And so checked it out with {Clairvoyance}! The bane of all of my troubles as it would seem.

Seriously this spell is really handy! You get to look at any place within your range while avoiding detection!

Anyway, as it would seem Gray's town has already been obliterated by Deliora and he should soon meet his teacher, Ur.

While I myself cannot take on this request with neither my rank nor my abilities…

I could still go to 'The Land of Isvan' and help them out.

Who knows? If I teamed up with Ur we could potentially win against Deliora…

My current strength based only on Magic power alone shouldn't be inferior in any way to canon Natsu from the original beginning of the story, and with my more versatile magic I could probably easily win against him should we fight…

That might not be enough to beat Deliora but if I'm teamed up with a Wizard Saint level mage like Ur then maybe…

For now I'll go home and rest for the night. I'll have to leave it to tomorrow's me to decide

Ahhh… Well… Here I am!

In the Land of Isvan!

It took me about a week going from train to train and also taking a few carriages until I finally managed to get here…

But well, I'm here!

So now what…? I really didn't think this through did I?

I wanted to help Gray, Lyon and Ur but… I don't actually know where they're at Do I? Hahaha…

Well I guess I should go look for them. Can't be that hard right? Ur was famous here I think… Right?

A month later I finally f***ing found the bloody mountain they live in…

People here seem to know Ur personally and they even told me about her 'kids' or actually her disciples, Gray and Lyon.

Like the fact that one of them strips in public very often…

Gray's developing his stripping habit… like… Already? That was fast… I guess it was meant to be huh?

I went up the mountain and found the house… Good, but they're not here!

After walking around for a while I decided to use my ace in the hole! {Clairvoyance}!

There they bloody are! Oh and the two little guys are only wearing boxers, who woulda thunk?

Anyway, as I was walking towards them to say hi I saw that another person was also nearing them.

To my surprise it was Ultear! Ur's daughter.

This seems to be the scene where she thought that Ur had completely abandoned and replaced her for Gray and Lyon while in reality she thought her daughter was dead…

Ultear was basically tortured up until now as a subject of some crazy experiment…

Now she's escaped and trying to find her mother only to see this! Sad story really.

Really annoying too!

After her misunderstanding she basically left and went back to her torture like experiments until she was able to escape by herself easily via her own power that she gained from them.

If only she had walked another step back then she'd have fallen down the slope and met her mother!

It always annoyed me that it happened like that in the original story…

Oh, the misunderstanding is taking place!

Whelp time to fix that! {Teleport}!

I teleported behind Ultear and pushed her down the slope via kicking her in the back as 'gently' as you can kick a person.

Now… GO MEET YOUR MOTHER DAMN IT!

"Aaaahhhhh!* she screamed while falling down the slope. Probably confused why she'd been pushed in the first place.

"Who's there?!" Ur is being cautious it would seem…

"A girl?" Gray said after he got a good look at Ultear.

"Sensei, what should we do…? Ur Sensei?" Lyon asked the dazed Ur.

"Ul…tear?" She asked in disbelief.

"Ultear? Isn't that your…" before Gray could finish his sentence…

"M-mother… You… Have you repla-" Ultear's sentence confirmed Ur's suspicions and…

"ULTEAR!" Ur jumped towards Ultear and hugged her while sobbing, she was holding on to her for dear life.

It's as if were she to let go, Ultear would vanish and disappear from her world once again…

"You're alive! *sob* Oh thank god you're alive!! *sob* what happened to you? Where were you all this time? *sob*"

"Mother what are you…? Didn't you abandon me…?" Ultear asked while confused at her mother's reaction. She thought she had been abandoned at first after all.

"Abandon you? They told me you were dead and buried somewhere! What happened after I left you at the Bureau of magic development institution?" Ur asked her daughter.

"W-what? Then you didn't abandon me there?" Confusion appeared on Ultear's face.

"Of course not! Why would I ever abandon my daughter? Please Ultear tell me what happened to you? Did they do anything to you?!" That last part was said with a hint of anger…

"Mother… They… They tied me up and did painful experiments to me… I-I-I was so scared mom! Please, I don't want to go back there ever again…!" And now Ultear is sobbing too! What a touching reunion.

"T-they did WHAT?! Those f.u.c.k.i.n.g BASTARDS! They're going to PAY for this if it's the last thing I ever do!" Okay now Ur is mad, maybe I should go say hi right about now?

"*cough* *cough* Hey there!" I cleared my throat and said waving a hand at the four people that have been completely ignoring my existence until now.

"And who are you?" Ur asked me with a bit of fury in her voice.

"The guy that pushed your daughter down here a second ago. She was about to leave thinking you abandoned her or something, so I thought she should at least know the truth from you first before doing anything rash." I explained

"… Then I guess I should be thanking you." Ur said with a smile, I guess she managed to calm down for now.

"Come on Ultear, let's go home for now and then we'll see what we'll do about all of this… You two, go get dressed, we're done training for today." Ur said to the three kids

"Yes Sensei!" Lyon replied

"Fine." Gray did too, just not as respectful.

"Oh and you, come with us, I'll treat you to dinner!" She smiled and invited me for dinner…

Whelp I'm quite hungry as it is I guess…

"That reminds me, what your name kid?" Ur asked me

"Arthur. But you do know it's rude to ask for someone's name without first telling them yours right?" I replied

"Ah forgive me. My name is Ur and these two boys are called Gray and Lyon, they're my disciples. And this is my daughter Ultear."

"Nice to meet you Arthur!" Lyon greeted me

"Ah.. Yes it's nice to meet you…" So did Ultear

"Whatever…" Gray is being a prick. He was kind of like this soon after the Deliora incident wasn't he?

"Gray!" Ur yelled at him

"What...? Okay fine, nice to meet you." There we go! Wasn't so hard now was it?

"Well its p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to meet you guys too! Hope we can get along."

The five of us went back to Ur's house and she explained the whole story about Ultear's 'death' from her point of view.

About how her daughter, Ultear had too much magic power confined in her body at a young age which made her have a terrible fever, making her very ill.

Because of this she took her to the Bureau of Magical Development.

After some time they informed her that her daughter was dead, they told her that Ultear's body was ravaged and unfit to look at for a mother.

Ultear's point of view however was different.

The reality was that she had apparently been abducted and forced into some kind of mad experiments which would make her have even more magic power.

Those were painful and terrifying days for her.

She couldn't explain the details, probably because she didn't want to relive any of it again…

After everyone heard that there was silence in the room for a while.

"That settles it then…" Ur said with confidence in her eyes.

"Settles what?" Gray asked her

"What else? I'm going to destroy that damn facility!"

"Mom, you don't have to…" Ultear didn't want her mother to risk doing anything like that.

"No! They lied to me about you being dead and tortured my beloved daughter with their stupid experiments! How can I just stand here after learning about that?" She is furious!

"Yeah! Sensei is right we should destroy those bastards! With Ur Sensei it will be easy!" Lyon said cheerfully. He's probably excited to see Ur in action for the first time.

"But…" Ultear seems to be worried about her mother.

"If you want I could help you." I said trying to ease Ultear's worrying

"You? But you're a kid. I can't be endangering you with my own problems! Also we just met today… Why do you want to help me?" Ur asked me.

"No real reason, I just thought it might be fun! Also I might not look it but I'm a pretty good wizard myself you know?" was my reply.

"Huh, really now? If you're so good why don't you try me then, huh?!" Gray said trying to pick a fight with me.

"You want to fight me kid?" I replied

"Who are you calling kid? We're probably the same age!"

"Actually I'm a year older than you."

"What!? How would you know that?! I never told you when I was born!"

"And when were you born?" I asked him.

"March 7th X766!"

"Oh cool! I was born in January 19 X765 which makes me a year and almost two months older! Sweet!"

"Damn it! Come outside! I'll teach you a lesson with my magic!" He replied and was very agitated.

"Gray! Stop it right now. You're being rude to our guest!" Ur tried to stop him

"It's fine. I want to show you I can help with your little 'adventure' anyway. This is a good opportunity!" I said with a grin

"Okay then if you say so, I'll permit it! Just don't hurt each other okay?"

"That's fine by me, I promise that I won't even hit him. Come on Gray! Let's go outside. "

"Why you…" Now he's mad! How cute…

Me and Gray were standing facing each other in the snow.

This guy… Why did he pick a fight with me all of a sudden?

"If anything happens I'm stopping this fight, got it you two?" Ur said

"Fine!" Gray agreed

"It will end quickly so don't worry." I said with a hint of mockery in my voice. Poor little Gray thinks he can fight with the big boys, Ha!

"You c.o.c.ky little… {Ice Make: Lance}!"

He shot a bunch of lances made of ice at me! Dude the match hasn't even started yet…

Well I did mock him a little too much I guess… It's kinda fun though, so… Yeah!

"Gray I haven't started the match yet!" Ur yelled at him but it was already too late.

"That ice magic is pretty cool!" No pun intended "But I can do it too… {Ice Spear}!

I created a long spear made of ice and shot it at gray's attack, it broke all of his lances along the way and went straight towards him.

"What the!?" He exclaimed and quickly cast "{Ice make: Shield}!"

"Oops, sorry don't wanna hurt you now do I?" I said that and made my spear disappeared with a {Melt} spell.

"You're also a 'maker' mage?" Ur asked me surprised

"No, I use Word Soul magic… {Melt}!"As I said the word a radius of 30 meters around me got warmer and all of the snow and ice melted. Including Gray's Ice Shield!

"Word Soul magic?! Amazing! I've never even heard of it before! What is it exactly, some kind of Lost Magic?" She asked

"Well basically whatever I say happens." Was my reply since I didn't want to get into the details of how my magic works exactly…

"Don't get c.o.c.ky! I'll show you… {Ice Make: Hammer}!" A relatively big hammer appeared above my head and was dropped.

"{Melt}" I pointed my finger towards it and said the word! Bam! No hammer.

"That all you got kid?" I asked him

"… Damn it!" Oh… Okay so Gray ran away… Did I say something bad? I said something bad didn't I…?

"Gray! Wait, where are you going?! Come back here!" Ur yelled at him to come back but he didn't listen

"Should I have gone even easier on him or…?" Okay maybe I flexed a bit too much on him… Not that I was trying to, his magic was just too easy to melt…

"It's not that… He doesn't believe maker magic to be a strong variant and has been complaining to me about it allot, he wants me to teach him stronger magic that the 'ice make'...

After what happened just now I fear he believes it even more strongly than before…"

"I wouldn't say Maker magic is weak though? He just faced a stronger opponent with a ridiculous Lost Magic and much higher Magic power!

I doubt I can simply melt your Ice Make spells considering your Magic Power amount…"

"He probably doesn't understand that… All that he thinks about is revenge after all, and he wants to get it quickly too…"

"Against that Demon called Deliora I would presume?"

"You know about that thing?" Ur asked me with a surprised look

"Yeah, back home at the guild there was a request about defeating the demon, I myself can't do that though… You'd need to be of wizard saint level or higher to fight him…"

"That so…? Then why are you here?"

"Well, I wanted to at least check him out… Haha…" I tried my best to come up with a lie, not a very good one but a lie none the less…

Can't just say I came to save her from using {Iced Shell} on Deliora now can I?

"I don't advise it. As you said yourself you'd need to be wizard saint level or above to be qualified to fight that monster. It would be dangerous for you to 'check him out' as you said…" Ur said in an attempt to make me give up on seeing Deliora.

Sorry but I'm pretty sure the two of us are gonna end up fighting the damn thing sooner or later!

"Lyon could you go get Gray and come back here?" Ur asked Lyon to fetch Gray

"Sure… Why'd he run away anyway…?" You didn't listen huh?

After that Lyon found Gray and brought him back. He's mad that he lost to me but Ur told him that he just met a stronger opponent and that he should learn from the experience.

He actually asked me to teach him my magic but I told him it's impossible to teach to someone. I was born with it after all, it's my special magic attribute if you will.

He thought I just didn't want to teach him and left being really angry...

After that Ur got both me and Ultear beds to sleep in and I stayed in the house with them for the night.

Ur decided she'd let me help her with destroying the institute that held Ultear captive all this time.

Tomorrow we're going to be planning when and how to assault the Bureau of Magical Development.

This should be fun!
