A/N : This is a short chapter introducing the other famous Kryptonian and next chapter will be a major exposition on what happened to Krypton.

As Clark flew in the direction of the falling spaceship he constantly kept his heat vision active cutting pieces falling off the ship into smaller sizes. It was taxing and he had to act judiciously while maintaining his speed so that the distance reduced.

As he flew higher and higher he heard a familiar heartbeat and a small smile made its way on his face. As he saw the pieces of debris which was either too far for his heat vision or had missed his notice exploding before coming closer to Earth.

As he noticed the majority of pieces being taken care of he breathed a sigh of relief. Now as he exited Earth's atmosphere completely he could see the shape of the incoming ship whose size rivalled the Pyramid of Giza and the shape was slightly similar to a bunch of ropes coiled together or roots of trees coiled around each other having a single thrust point at the back which was boosting it towards Earth.

As he touched the ship he felt a bit drained and he felt like his palms had received papercuts.

His eyes hardened the ship was Kryptonian in origin what happened to his home world exactly was still a mystery all he knew that his planet exploded and he was regrettably the last survivor.

The culture of Krypton was expansive and so much advanced that he dared not introduce the technology to his adopted world. The hologram of his father too supported his decision it was too dangerous in the wrong hands the knowledge and technology could blow up the planet.

Unless he could safely do it and not cause the same disaster that befell Krypton he needed to keep himself away from it as he could. A similar field or job might just tempt him to experiment which might not harm him yet be harmful to life on the planet.

And now a ship full of the stuff that was harmful to him was making his way to the planet. He frowned as he tried to push against the ship if not to stop it then redirect it.

As he tried to hold the ship and push he could feel his body straining from the effort. His body screamed by the effort exerted at the same time he felt paper cuts all over his body slowly chipping away at his strength when he heard the same heartbeat zooming in the emptiness of space

towards the back of the ship and felt the ship become colder before he felt heartbeat zooming down to the earth and seconds later flying back up and freezing the engine of the ship again one way of describing the situation was of a swimmer who was taking a single breath before going underwater to complete a l.a.p.

As he felt the pressure and accelerating decreasing he felt that it was now if far more manageable yet as he came closer to Earth he could sense the various layers of atmosphere blocking the direct sunlight and he started experiencing excruciating pain yet he stood firm eyeing an abandoned location he gently began manuvering before he noticed 5 Martians flying towards him and as their palms touched the surface of the ship the weight was reduced significantly.

He felt relieved that they had successfully prevented a tragedy before he saw J'onn pointing at his left and he saw a white spaceship pod speeding towards the Earth.

" Go Superman that object contains a living being I can sense it. It's flight path is irratic and will crash"

"Okay J'onn I will catch up with it if you guys need any help just shout "

"Certainly Superman we will take care"

Clark dived downwards and within seconds the small spaceship was in his reach. He noticed that it looked similar to the one in which he came in. As grabbed it from the front negating the acceleration until he could feel the fuel run out and he glanced inside and he was holding it in the air like a giant stuffed toy.

I looked in. There was a young girl with blonde hair asleep with the House of El symbol on her suit. I gently brought the ship to the ground and placed it in the center of a field and carefully began prying open the hatch with the bottom of my fingernails.

As the hatch opened completely I heard the heartbeat of my unseen helper approach yet stay at a distance.

Neither interfering nor helping.

As I placed my hand on the girl's shoulder and gently shook her.

Her eyes fluttered and began opening.

There was one blink and then another before her eyes turned red and fired a Lazer beam straight at my face.

I brought up my left hand up and blocked the beam it wasn't strong enough to harm me yet it was like I was holding a warm cup of coffee.

She blinked again and spoke. I heard Kryptonian for the very first time spoken to me by a living being.

" You wear the mark of House El. Who are you? "

I smiled.

I was not alone anymore.
