"Wake up Kara" Kara jolted awake. Her eyes looked around there were no lights and her night lamp was also off.

"Dad, what is happening? Why did you wake me and why is the night lamp is off?"

" Kara we don't have much time your Mom has already packed your bags we are leaving Krypton right now"

Kara stood up and put on her slippers "What! we still had 1 months to go ?"

" No questions right now" as Zor-El spoke and sound of explosions shook the entire house.

"Dear are you both ready" her mom entered the room carrying a plasma gun wearing the Kryptonian armor.

"Did you deal with the bots?"

"Yes, I never knew the soundproofing our rooms could work against us"

"All 7?"

" Yes why aren't you in armor yet nevermind get Kara in one too"

"I will, lookout our for neighborhood bots they might just be getting ready for a sweep"

" Okay"

"Dad, what is going on?" Kara asked scared for the first time. " Why is mom killing all the bots?"

"Sweetie you remember the holovid Invisible killer, well our AIs went rogue"

" What about Brainiac wasn't he there to make sure this didn't happen?"

" Brainiac is the leader of the rebellion and he has ensured that the physical ways to shut him down are inaccessible to us. "

"What? But that's impossible."

"Kara you need to be strong. Stay with your Dad"

" We have emergency shuttles on the rooftop make your way there once you are sure there are no stragglers"

" Okay Just keep Kara safe. I love you"

" Love you too, Kara let's go"

As both father and daughter wore armor got on the rooftop they saw fires raging across the darkness with screams of people accompanied with the whirring of machines.

Zor-El stood in front of a spot and spoke

" Unlock sequence 5647 designation El33 "

The space in front of them shimmered and an earlier invisible object became visible"

It was a Nityw 9l a family ship for short planetary travel

"Get in " Zor El commanded before himself sitting beside her.

" Override automatic control switch to manual"

" Command rejected. Please wait for Brainac to provide assistance"

Dad deeply breathed in and then twisted the ring on his index finger. His hands became transparent and disappeared behind the digital console before she heard a whooshing sound of the ship starting it sealed itself and Dad's hands appeared outside the casing holding a small device with three triangular dots before crushing it.

The ship drilled a hole through the roof and came down mom was hiding behind the couch on her knees with concentrated plasma fire firing through the couch drilling holes.

Our ship fired 6 blasts and blew up the armored bots invading our home. Dad opened the door

"Get in now"

Mom ditched her gun and dived inside her arms bruising against the edges of the ship and she was biting her lips her knees were scr.a.p.ed and bleeding.

Her eyes went wide with fear.

"Go now "

"Short range FTL engaged" Dad spoke.

And we were no longer in our home.

The ship appeared on a space runway or spaceport.

" Dad where are we?"

"Argo City District 44 Spaceport it was one of the ones that was supposed to be opened yet got cancelled due to being environmental hazardous"

"Oh"

"Kara now pay close attention, what I am going to tell you this is very important. You have a cousin his name is Kal-El. We have already sent him off-world to escape and now we are going to send you as well"

"Ddaad"

"Shush, I am not done yet your cousin is an infant and you will need to protect him. We aren't sure that we can make it but you have to survive. This might as well be the last time you see us"

"Daaad no "

"Kara my child you are needed to survive as your parents it is the least we can do is ensure that you are able to grow up without conflict. You know that we would never leave you if we had a choice. We are desperate here. We wish we could see you all grown up doing something which you hated or liked but most of all we would like for you to be happy."

Kara began crying profusely. Their situation had finally sunk in. Her initial shock has evaporated to horror of losing her parents and that this was going to be the last time that she would see them"

"Mom Dad no"

Her Mom pulled her to her c.h.e.s.t and hugged her tightly as she could her father joined the hug.

The did not know what the future held for them.

But they would do their very best for their daughter.

She sniffed.

"Mom Dad I ….. I don't….want to be …. alone"

" You will never be alone, we....will.... always be with you. Now dry your tears"

Kara rubbed her eyes with the sleeves of her shirt.

"Umhum" she mumbled as she separated from the hug.

" Mom Dad if there is even a little bit chance please take it and save yourself."

"Its…" mom began

"We'll try Kara" Dad spoke up.

As the family of 3 stood suddenly a deep voice spoke.

"Zor El are you here?"

" Yes follow my voice" Dad spoke and then a General Zod walked in with Uncle Jor El who was missing his right leg.

"Uncle Jor"

"Kara, is that you. I guess I should have taken better care of myself"

"Jor El stop with talking you are losing blood keep the talking to the minimum"

"Yes Zod I never thought that you would prioritize my life over the council"

"Don't be ridiculous, I just saved the person closest to me "

"What happened Jor?"

" Brainiac blew up the entire council chamber I survived barely because Zod forgot to change his uniform to council wear and the suit shielding saved us"

"What about…"

"Zor.. no " Jor El stopped him from speaking. He looked at Kara and spoke.

" Kara we are sending you to the planet Earth in the milky way solar system. This planet is similar to our own my little boy is already on his way you too should start boarding now"

"Uncle but"

"Kara this is the most important moment, we can't delay. Brainiac is establishing a planetary wide blockades with asteroids to prevent us from escaping you need to leave now"

" Listen to your uncle Kara, for me as a soldier of Krypton your life is a priority you are not living for yourself but for all of Krypton. Jor's son I was glad to see him and fear for him who will tell him all about us. He would never know anyone similar to him and would always be an outsider on the planet"

" You need to live" General Zod spoke. " I will be here with your parents and no bot of Brainaic can harm them until I fall"

" That I give you my word"

" Uncle Zod. I'm sorry"

" Don't be you are a child I and protecting Krypton is not something that I am forced to do but it is what I want to do "

Zod pressed a switch on his armor a mini spaceship floated inside under camouflage which could be seen only because of the light refracting off it.

As the camouflage rippled a white mini spaceship was visible.

Kara looked at it and felt emotional. It was a model which a few months ago she had perstered her parents to buy but it had eventually fell through and she had forgotten about it but her parents didn't.

" Mom Dad you remembered."

" Of course"

The spaceport shook as 9 feet tall bot descended from the sky.

" Unauthorized entry. Eliminate trespassers"

"Try me. " Zod spoke as a bright blue shield sprung up and covered them and plasma bolts bounced off the shield.

"Get in now. We're out of time" As she felt her Mom and Dad drag her into the ship and secure her.

The ship sealed itself shut. Kara put her hand against the glass.

Her parents did the same on the other side.

" Launch in 3 2 1" she heard a robotic voice speak.

She felt her body hit the back of the seat as the ship zoomed upwards.

Her ship went left and right and center she could see asteroids cl.u.s.tering her ship was avoiding them and forming a barrier which the ship blew up with a concentrated beam and she escaped the blockade.

As soon as she had exited she could hear the mechanical voice chime " Engage FTL to Planet Earth"

She felt the ship heating.

" External damage detected"

She could see multiple black holes erupting as she felt her ship shake.

" Attack on vessel imminent"

"Boom boom boom"

" Kraaaink Dzz Dzz"

" Zzz "

the ship shook as she saw a wormhole appear.

"Stasis sleep engaged" as Kara's eyes began drooping.

" No I need to reach Earth" as her arms flailed powerlessly.

As Clark narrated Kara's story he wasn't sure whether or not he was happy to know more about parents death.

"What do you think?, J'onn"

" Kal El my friend I can't read her mind but the pain she felt is genuine. I can understand a bit of her situation fleeing her planet to survive but we are too different for me to offer any assistance"

" I don't know what to do here. Her powers while similar to mine are out of control. I can't leave her at the Kent farm with ma. She can't raise an alien teenager"

"I understand but something needs to be done. I suggest we keep her with the DEO agents who helped you hone restraint."

" They have retired and I can't impose on them and they even have a daughter who is as old as Kara"

" Why don't we ask them and see where it goes from there? "

"Alright. I might visit them and put forward the idea but I won't force it and if she accidentally or intentionally harms them I will drop her at the fortress"

" That's a bit harsh"

" J'onn it took me years to get a hand on my powers. From the very first moment I realized my strength I have had to show restraint in everything I do. I have even had to control my breathing so that I don't accidentally freeze my food or blow the cake outside the house"

" I don't think that anyone can truly understand what you have experienced but Kara is also facing the same things"

" I'm worried J'onn the feeling that I am not alone in the universe is overwhelming yet we are so different from each other"

" Let's leave that for now. What about the giant black ship? Any ideas or does she know"

" No I haven't told her about it from the information that I gathered indirectly and that she told me. She left alone from the planet and has no memory of seeing a giant ship or being approached by one her last memory of meteors surrounding her and her falling asleep before the FTL was activated."

" It's suspicious, but the blood work does prove you both are related."

" Hmm. I will talk to her and see if she agrees"

"That would be most preferable"

"What about the progress on the big ship any success? "

" We are unable to walk inside or do any kind of scouting. The shell is made of Diamonds and we are cutting ourselves trying to break through and before you ask I can't turn transparent and get inside."

" Hmm"

" What about the Kryptonite?"

"Collected and bagged A'oon has already sent it launched it to Venus. There was too much lying around I am surprised that it didn't affect you more adversely"

" It been years since although I can't get a resistance against it. Yet I can control how it affects me plus I had help"

"Your shadow"

" Yes"

" I am unsure that not confronting the person is a good idea. He has been helping all of us whenever we are in a fix, yet we still know nothing"

" I understand, that you are suspicious even I was.

But the actions have spoken loud to me and I do not have fear.

Until that person is comfortable reaching out to us I would not want to force a confrontation. I trust his or her actions which have saved numerous lives anything else he has had our back whenever we have been vulnerable yet has always been there to lend support. In my book whoever this person is they are one of the good ones"

" I can't understand you Superman your optimism and belief in people is extraordinary"

" I agree to disagree. Let me give it a try on the ship once again and check if I can breach it"
