Podium

Superman stood on the hastily constructed podium in the middle of Dodge City. On his left was Martian Manhunter on his right was the Defense minister Andrew Planeor.

As Superman moved forward and adjusted the Mike.

The reporters started bombarding him questions, rumours.

" Please calm down, I will answer all your questions "

The audience became silent.

" Yes the gentleman on the right"

A young man with black hair began speaking

"Superman, I am from the daily reader my question is what was that and what happened?"

" We had initially a giant spaceship on our planet which by the government and their advisor believed to be an abandoned ship we might be able to repurpose for space travel. "

" Then why did you push it off the planet?"

" There was an alien species on board which might have invaded the ship or was a part of it but coming to the point it was deadly for humans and all life on planet"

" How big a threat?" A woman with brown hair asked.

" Planet extinction level, thankfully we managed to get it out of our planet or else the consequence would have been catastrophic and I would like to thank the government, the president and the military for their prompt response to the threat"

" Where is it now?" A middle aged man in the front row asked.

" It is on Venus."

The audience exploded in a flurry of discussion.

Superman tapped the desk and everyone began looking at him again.

" I am sure you are going to ask why Venus?"

" It was the closest planet we could carry it without causing any damage to the Earth or the solar system"

" Why didn't you just destroy it?"

" I would have done that but thankfully I couldn't the entire ship was made of some metal which I or any other person with super strength couldn't break, tear, destroy or even make a dent and considering the aliens inside it was the best option"

" How dangerous were the aliens?"

" The best way to describe would be that bullets are ineffective and they can regenerate, reproduce quickly"

" Superman why did you mention reproduce?"

" Their manner of reproduction was another reason why everyone was keen to get rid of it. They reproduce using hosts and I don't think anyone would like to check if humans can serve as passable hosts for the species"

" Are they dead now as Venus is a lot hotter than Earth and doesn't have the required air combination that supports life here."

" Sadly, no after I placed the ship on Venus the ship opened up and the aliens inside rushed out and weren't affected by the shifting as I speak currently those aliens have burrowed inside Venus making caves and quite a few of them are running on the surface of the planet"

" Can they come here?"

" Unless the ship has someone inside who can pilot it back I don't think so"

" Is there a way we can communicate with them?"

" Our first response was to do that but it failed as the aliens did not reciprocate or have intention"

" Can we tame them?"

" That's impossible, from the initial analysis of the scientists the alien is extremely dangerous to humans everything about it from the skin to saliva is dangerous. Many of you might have noticed some red patches on me they are from the bodily fluids of the aliens"

" Why didn't you throw it into the sun, it would have been better or push it into outer space?"

" It wasn't possible once you are in space every object depending on mass is affected by the Sun's gravity pushing it away might just cause it to fall in the asteroid belt causing a destabilizing effect and the possibility of it turning into a comet and coming back is also possible. As for pushing it into Sun we don't know what could happen, we don't know what is inside the ship apart from aliens, the components inside might harm the sun or cause it to grow hotter or might even cause it to become colder. Both of the circ.u.mstances are too volatile"

" There was another person who we noticed who was assisting you, who was that?"

" That was another person with powers who decided to help us in this time of need. He goes by the name 'Sun'"

" Is he also going to join you with saving people"

" As of this moment I don't know whether he would like to consider vigilantism but I thank him for being there."
