Disney - Traveler

"Umm... I'll be extremely honoured if Snow White would accept my invitation to the dance floor." Said Adam, not really knowing what else to do.

"And I would gladly accept your invitation, Adam." Snow White replied with a victorious smile.

The moment they entered the dance floor everyone stopped whatever they were doing and were looking at who Snow White was walking with.

*Adam, what the hell are you doing?! What did I tell you...* Harry nearly got a heart attack once he saw who walked hand in hand with the princes.

Once the orc.h.e.s.tra started playing the two youngsters owned the dance floor, both of them not missing a single step and completely in tune with each other.

When they finished their dance everyone seemed to snap out of a trance and the hall erupted in cheers.

Adam bowed and left the dancing floor with Snow White by his side, who refused to let go of his hand.

To make matters worse the first person to greet them was the king, who was curious who managed to successfully invite his daughter to dance. Every other ball or party ended up with her declining invitations... that is until today.

He didn't blame her though because he had to admit that Adam has the looks to stand side by side with his daughter. The king could only imagine how many hearts the young man will end up braking when he grows up, which worried him the most.

"Well, it seems that my daughter finally found a friend? Care to introduce us?"

"This is Adam father, we only met today."

"It is an honour to meet you, your highness. My name Adam Foster, son of Harry Foster."

The king liked Adam's behaviour but didn't recognise the family name which meant one thing- his family's standing isn't that high.

*What a pity, he seems like the bright young man.* thought the king and nodded in response to Adam's introduction.

Without saying anything else he turned to the other nobles, letting Snow White and Adam pass through.

Once they walked for a bit more Adam stopped and turned to Snow White.

"Meeting you was more than an honour, but even I know when to stop pushing my luck."

He said that, bowed and disappeared through the groups of nobles. Snow White tried to stop him but his steps were too quick and her dress didn't help much either.

*Hmm... not bad, but you could have worded your parting message a little better. I'll give you a 9/10*

Adam scoffed slightly at Loki's score and made his way through the crowd, trying to find his father.

"Umm, dad, I think we should leave." He said said once he found his dad, who was socialising with other low ranked nobles.

"Excuse me gentlemen, it was a p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e talking to all of you but I must go." Harry downed his glass and looked at Adam with a dangerous smile.

Once outside the palace and back into the carriage, Adam stood face to face with his father who was waiting in silence for an explanation.

As Adam was explaining what happened his dad's face changed from solemn to amused and eventually just burst out laughing.

"Bwahahaha.... I don't even know if you were lucky or unlucky!"

His dad easily forgave him but the entire journey home was filled with Adam's situation being laughed at.

After finally arriving back home Adam tossed his clothes inside the trunk beside his bed and collapsed, having already gotten used to the hay bed. Little did he know what awaited him the next morning.

"WAKE UP MAGGOT!"

*Thud*

Adam got so startled by the yell he jumped off his bed and hit the floor. He looked around to see who woke him up and saw his father standing by the doorway of his room.

He was wearing some kind of colourful uniform with a small knights emblem sewn onto it.

"Today will be your first day of knight training, and will last until you decide to no longer become a knight. We start early and end late, now hurry up and put on some clothes!

You've got to the count of 30 to come outside."

His dad said with a militaristic tone, counting loudly from outside the house.

*What the hell did I get myself into...* thought Adam as he rushed to put on his leather overalls and ran outside as fast as he could.
