Douluo Dalu: Legend Of Xiao Yan

Chapter 87 - 87: Something's Rising and it ain't the Shield Hero!

Xiao Yan let his aching head fall back on a giant violet comfy pillow, while trying to ignore the three girls hugging his body.

'What the fuċk happened last night?' He wondered, trying to remember on what had went down last night that it ended of him getting a massive headache, his right arm twitchy, and a harem–wait no!

He lightly shook his head to get that thought out of his mind. Then tried piecing together his memories while his spirit power is doing its job in helping him relieved the pain from his head.

He remembered that he and Tang San had successively crippled the Jia Lie Clan, his arm had became slightly twitchy: due to exerting himself a bit. Then both had later on returned back to his store and...

[Flashback no Jutsu]

"Bro, you must be tired, here, have a drink." Tang San handed Xiao Yan a cup of what seems to be tea?

"Oh thanks man..." Xiao Yan thanked him as he sat down on the couch and started to drink the tea, only for to quirked an eyebrow as he tasted rum instead.

He was about to tell Tang San that he brought the wrong drink.

Only for him to see the world spiraling around him: Xun Er and Ma Xiaotao both shaking hands with Tang San, the three's expressions looking serious, and total darkness...

[End]

"... D-Did they just drugged me?" Xiao Yan stuttered with a look of disbelief.

He could say it would have been solely alcohol and they had gotten him drunk, but Xiao Yan's metabolism, due to the influence of the Fire Dragon King's bloodline, made it so that not even 100% alcohol beverages could easily make him drunk.

But, if it were something laced with certain herbs grown with the use of spirit power and heaven and earth energy? Well, he would have easily sensed such a trap just from a mere wisp of smell of it, but his guard was lowered as he had trusted everyone in the room; subconsciously thinking that they wouldn't do anything bad to him.

...Though now he should probably rethink that thought process.

"Mmmm... It's so hard~"

"Eh?" Xiao Yan froze as he heard Zi Yan's voice.

He looked down at the sprawled Zi Yan, sleeping with a slight frown on her face on top of him; her head on his ċhėst. Her lithe thɨġhs captured his waist, which has her little bottom stuck between a certain raised 'sword'.

'My wood---!' Xiao Yan inwardly cried in panic before freezing again, as his 'wood' became more sturdy and longer.

He turned his head around, to find Xun Er and Ma Xiaotao are clinging their impressive ample ȧssets; for their ages, to his left and right arms' respectively with very pleased expressions.

'Oh my god---?!' Xiao Yan dramatically cried like a certain old joester.

'At this rate, I'm going to become a beast!' Xiao Yan was desperate now. Normally he wouldn't be like a dog in heat, but with teenage hormones and his natural reaction in the morning, he just couldn't help it.

He should have just succumbed to his natural instincts...

'Fuck no.' Xiao Yan immediately denied himself of such. He was many things; a prodigy, a monster, a reincarnator, a shameless person, etc. But there is one thing he wasn't going to be.

Wu fuċkɨnġ Yan.

Xiao Yan took a small concentrated breath in and in the next moment, he disappeared and reappeared next to the door of the room.

Instant Movement Technique is used by concentrating spirit power or innate Qi into the feet to get from point A to point B in the least amount of steps. Normally one needed one's feet to be firmly on the ground and a certain stance so they could execute the said technique.

In the case of Xiao Yan however, in the three months of training he undergone was used in digesting his past self's memories, refining his body, mind, combat and team experience, and perfecting and honing his skills beyond their limits, he overcome such limitations and mastered the technique.

Xiao Yan shouldn't possibly even be able to accomplish all this; the human body and mind has limits, even if he is a spirit master, the physical and mental exhaustion due to all the training he has done can cause even an ȧduŀt to go insane!

It was just pure torture. Everyone around him wanted him to stop but he persisted.

But that was before he ȧssimilated the memories and experiences of his past as the Flame Emperor.

The will, grit, stubbornness and pride he once had in his past to go beyond the limit of his capabilities, the cruelty and the mercilessness towards his himself and his enemies, the carefree and adventurous nature of his, all of those came flooding in his head.

He was just like his past, except, he was much tamer now.

This world, Douluo Dalu, is much more peaceful compared to his own world: where cultivators are everywhere and more prone to kill at the slightest disagreement. While this world, due to the timeline, spirit masters are low in population, the story is set in a single continent with two kingdoms, and how both powerful and limited the cultivation this world has.

Without any enemies and people scorning him everywhere, Xiao Yan lived a more lenient life compared to his second past. Which is both a blessing and a curse.

A blessing, cause he would trained in peace and would easily be prepared for the future. While it's also a curse because he wouldn't be truly training with everything that his got till his bones break with how peaceful the world is at, at the moment, and he would retain the principles he held when he was still an earthling.

The reason why his past self was able to unshackle the chains as an earthling, was because the world itself force itself on him. While he, had no such pressure. How could he?

With the main characters of the story, his spirit undergone second awakening, his use of unorthodox self-made spirit abilities and his meta-knowledge, how could he feel any pressure as he lived this world?

That was until he found out about his past self fuċkɨnġ the entire world into anew.

Letting a huff, Xiao Yan shook his head and left the room, completely ignoring the fact that the trio on the bed were awake.

No one just speaks coherently when they sleep talk. Zi Yan blew their cover.

Xiao Yan let out a sigh as he looked down on his junior.

"....I need a cold shower."
