Douluo Dalu: Legend Of Xiao Yan

"Ahhhhh!!" The man screamed in pain as he held his right hand, fingers twisted and broken to the point of a bone showing. Blood pouring out of his devastated hand.

He was skid back several feet away from the momentary fight encounter and fell to his knees in pain while Xiao Yan still stood at his position, completely unmoved, with his fist out for a punching position.

Everyone who looked on at the scene had their eyes widened and jaws gaped of such a unbelievable sight.

A two meter tall man was defeated with a single punch that caused him his right hand, while the skull masked individual: was unharmed and unmoved.

In a single confrontation, it already decided who was the one stronger between the two! And such outcome completely dumbfounded the surrounding spirit masters.

Everyone gulped a mouthful of nervous saliva, all thinking, 'I'm glad we aren't fighting him.'

What everyone didn't know, except the members of the Ten Commandments, Xiao Yan had held back most of his strength so he wouldn't seriously injure the man of crippling his hand. He knew that the man in front of him was part of the Mad Battle Team, the team they were going to fight next, and he didn't want them to say that they were cheating of crippling their team member before the fight.

'Haa, but for the sake of not being prosecuted by the other team and the audience...' Xiao Yan let out a sigh and turned towards Oscar.

"Oscar, give the big baby a recovery sausage."

His friends looked at him in surprise and confusion, that he wanted to help the guy who harassed Zhu Zhuqing, making Xiao Yan explained that the guy was one of the members of Mad Battle Team they were going to fight in the spirit arena field; they could use this incident as an excuse to file them for cheating.

"Alright, fine." Hearing the explanation Oscar reluctantly nodded and walked towards the man to give him a recovery sausage. He was disgusted at first, because of Oscar's incantation, then he immediately ate it to relieve the pain of his hand.

Oscar then returned to the others which in time because a forty something year old man appeared like the wind between the Ten Commandments and the tall man.

"What is going on here?" His voice was calm but sharp, as he immediately went straight to the point on asking what was going on.

His eyes glanced at both Xiao Yan and the tall man, though his eyes stayed longer at the former for a few moments, and turned towards facing the latter.

"Mad Xi, could you tell me on what's with all the ruckus around here?" The man opened his mouth to answer but with one glance at Xiao Yan, the scene of his broken hand flashed in his mind; fear immediately filled his body. His knees felt weak and there was a noticable tremble in his voice as he spoke.

"I-It was nothing Manager Ao. I had merely slipped on the floor, causing that small disturbance to happen. You know my body, big and strong."

Manager Ao raised an eyebrow as he looked down on the floor to analyze if what Mad Xi said was true. Seeing the damages on the floor and mostly under the tall man, he let out a exaggerated sigh to accept the excuse and drop it.

"Alright, just be careful next time. Don't worry about the floor, the staff would handle it but the property cost comes out of your reward in your next victory battle."

Mad Xi nodded profusely and soon left the area, shoving past some observing spirit masters he quickly went back to his team. .

Xiao Yan and his friends' eyes continued on looking at where Ma Xi ran with his tail tuck between his legs for a moment and before turning towards Manager Ao.

"Hello Manager Ao." Xiao Yan and his friends politely greeted.

"Evening Shrek Ten Commandments, I hope your all ready for your fight?" Manager Ao waved off the greeting and instead asked if they were ready.

Tang San shook his head saying.

"Until the Mad Battle Team decide on what number of participants we could have against them, we wouldn't be ready until then."

Manager Ao nodded. "As expected, well, I am also here to inform you that the Mad Battle Team wants a seven vs seven battle so only seven of your members could participate. Well then, I have more things to do so I'll be off." He then left with big strides towards the exit door, but stopped for a moment and said out loud.

"Mad Xi is the captain of Mad Battle Team, all their members are over thirty fifth rank spirit power. In the seven days since they registered at the Spirit Arena their team has already obtained seven successive victories on the Spirit Elder rank. If they can accomplish ten successive victories, they will be directly advanced to copper spirit fights. With their strength, they could be counted as first class among the thirtieth ranked copper spirit fighter teams, they would even be outstanding. Tang San turned towards his friends and said.

"But why?" Xiao Yan asked.

"It's because his spirit power is already at fortieth rank. Although he doesn't have a spirit ring for him to officially enter the spirit ancestor realm, he is still technically at the spirit ancestor. Now normally we would let this slide for others who has a similar situation to him but everyone, especially the higher-ups, knows that control system spirit masters are capable of fighting ten ranks higher than themselves. So you can understand what is going on?"

Xiao Yan didn't fight over the decision and nodded with a determine nod.

"Don't worry, we'll kick their buŧŧs and more for you guys. I also have a bone to pick with that prick for harassing our kitten here." He teasingly said as he patted the head of the cat masked Zhu Zhuqing, who immediately swatted the hand away with a hiss.

The Ten Commandments let out chuckles of amusement.

"Thanks for standing up to protect me. But you know you didn't have to do that, I could have handled the situation."

Xiao Yan smiled.

"I know but I would still do it, you're someone important to me Zhu Zhuqing. Even if that guy was a Titled Douluo, I would still do it." Zhu Zhuqing face turned into a tomato and remained silent but gave a small nod of gratitude.

An hour passes by and finally it was their turn to enter the arena.

The ones participating in the battle are as follows: Xiao Yan, Oscar, Ma Xiaotao, Ma Hongjun, Xiao Wu, Ning Rongrong and Zu Zhuqing.

"Rock out there bros and gals." Dai Mubai offered his fist towards the team, who returned a fist towards him as well.

"Good luck and don't get too reckless out there." Tang San said the first half to the entire team and the latter half to Xiao Wu with a affectionate voice; which she stuck a tongue out to him and a cheeky smile.

"Be sure to kick their ȧsses everyone." Xun Er encourage the team with double thumbs up and she turned towards Xiao Yan. "And Yan, be sure to kick the guy's nutz." He grinned and nodded.

Shrek Ten Commandments left the resting area at the same time as Mad Battle Team. Now, they finally saw all the members of the Mad Battle Team.

Further in the rear was a glamorous woman, the only female in the Mad Battle Team. Through the heavy makeup her age couldn't be made out, but by her figure she should be over twenty. Her clothes were also extremely revealing, on her upper body she only wore cloth wrapped around her ċhėst, and although she wore a skirt it was thin as gauze, and her skin could be faintly seen through it.
