Douluo Dalu: Legend Of Xiao Yan

"Wooo! Go everyone! Go Xiao Yan-gege!" Xiao Zi Yan excitedly screamed out her support for her adopted brother from the crowd.

She wasn't alone however, as Ah Yin also started shouting out her support.

"Go team Shrek Ten Commandments! Go, go!" Unexpectedly, she had a pair of pom poms on both her hands and she started swinging them around.

The two ladies were both seated next to each other and had attracted the other audience, not only for their blatant support of Shrek Ten Commandments, but also for their beauty.

A pair of middle aged men near them, with slicked back hair, were about to approach the ladies when they suddenly felt numerous sudden gazes on them.

It was death.

The pair quickly turned away and made excuses to go to the bathroom.

Tang San and Tang Hao kept their eyes locked on the backs of the retreating men and moved on to other targets.

Grandmaster, Flender, Zhao Wuji, Dai Mubai and Xun Er sweat dropped.

"T-They're quite protective huh? Guess you really don't mess with the Tang Family..." Dai Mubai muttered. Everyone nodded in agreement.

Xun Er smiled as she patted Dai Mubai's back and shrugged.

"They're family after all, though they see Zi Yan as a little sister figure, even so, family and friends' sticks together and have each other's backs." Dai Mubai's eyes widened at what she said, as Xun Er went back on looking down at the stage, he hung his head down in contemplation.

"Family huh...?" He wasn't the only one as well, as a certain pretty boy clenched his hands and closed his eyes for a brief moment that no one noticed it.

Except for Flender who merely stared at Grandmaster's face and leaned back to his seat in contemplation, rubbing his black chin hair.

'Should I...?'

As for Zhao Wuji, he was busy eating his bucket full of popcorn with buŧŧer.

Back at the stage.

"Everyone, release your spirits!" Xiao Yan ordered out loud as red flames started surrounding his body, with silver lightning sparkling around him; coiling around him like snakes. He then immediately made a spiritual link with his team.

'Except for Ma Xiaotao and I, all of you release your spirits. We want to keep our spirits and spirit rings hidden so to not cause any trouble of complains from the other participants of being overpowered.'

Everyone didn't make a reaction out of the sudden link of their mind together and different order; having already known this ability a couple months during their training together.

They all followed his mental order and everyone, except Ma Xiaotao, release their spirits. Xiao Wu, Ma Hongjun and Zhu Zhuqing's bodies all changed physically added with the fatty having purple flames hovering above both his palms and the two girls having extra appendages. Oscar, having already fulfilled his purpose earlier, only had his three spirit rings out surrounding his body, and Ning Rongrong had her ever famous Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda on display on her hands for everyone to see. .

Their other team opponent had already released their own spirits but the crowd's attention were on the Shrek Ten Commandments.

Their attention was of course on the three dazzling spirit rings around the members of Shrek Ten Commandments, two yellow and one purple spirit rings; the best spirit ring configuration for spirit masters.

The audience now realizes that, instead of the Mad Battle Team's victory in this round, it was the newcomer team Shrek Ten Commandments.

The Mad Battle Team could feel the pressure on seeing their opponents spirit rings, four of their members only have one white spirit ring and two yellow spirit rings, two members with one white, one yellow and one purple spirit ring, and only one member with the same spirit ring configuration as the other team.

It didn't help that Mad Xi, their leader and one of the two members with white, yellow and purple spirit rings, had told them that the flaming skull masked Xiao Yan was much more powerful than him. Him, a spirit elder of the thirtieth eight rank! What's worse, and what the audience hadn't clearly saw, is that the cat masked Zhu Zhuqing had a purple spirit ring slightly tinted in black color.

'What the heck are these people?!'

Manager Ao silently gulped at the scene in front of him, silently thanking to himself that he made a good impression on the Shrek Ten Commandments than antagonize them.

Looking down on the list of notes in his hand, he should reward his secretary for giving him this before he met up with the group a while ago.

'I have never met a group of monsters such as them before. A spirit master with a blue silver grass spirit with three purple spirit rings? That is unheard of! Also these three, at spirit elder and spirit ancestor they already have a black spirit ring?! It's certain that they would reach Titled Douluo, even the spirit master with a Blue Silver Grass spirit!' It was only thanks to his great experience in his profession that he managed to schooled his expression of being calm.

But that didn't mean he wasn't feeling both excitement and expectation boiling inside of him. He can feel it with his gut, that this group, Shrek Ten Commandments, will create a new era for all spirit masters.

Mad Xi gritted his teeth, hesitation and anger clear in his eyes as he eyed the opposing the team, especially Xiao Yan.

Mad Xi knew that their chances in winning this battle is low. Even if that Xiao Yan and Ma Xiaotao didn't release their spirits yet, he still knew that his team's chances in winning are still low.

He could feel it with his spirit, the moment back when his fist made contact with the masked man, it trembled in incomprehensible fear. Like it had disturbed a slumbering dragon and was going to pay the consequences of waking up the dragon.

There is nothing more terrifying, than going against the king of all beasts.

Even right now, standing several meters away from Xiao Yan, Mad Xi, in his rhinoceros spirit form, was frozen in complete fear.

In his eyes, staring at the masked Xiao Yan, Mad Xi didn't see a man standing there. Instead, it was like staring at a dragon, ready to devour him and his team.

They say, when you gaze into the abyss...

The abyss gazes back.

And this abyss to Mad Xi, was the incomprehensible pressure of terror filling every part of his body slowly from looking at the flaming skull masked person.

'Damn it, what the fuċk should I do?!'

He turned away from looking at Xiao Yan, clear fear now in his eyes, and looked towards his teammates, only for his eyes to widened in realization.

He gritted his teeth as he stared with bloodshot eyes at the standing Xiao Yan, flames and lightning surrounding his figure, before his eyes flashed in determination and lowered his head.

Taking a deep breath, Mad Xi deactivated his spirit, raised his head up, and yelled.

"We surrender!"
