Dream Life

Episode XXII: Life for Three

August 10th evening.

When I went home after shopping for uniforms, stationery, etc. in the Old Town, Liddy started telling me to celebrate her passing.

"How about a meal somewhere?

Guy is nodding like he should celebrate my passing too.

"I passed the first and second seats, so I'm gonna get you a little excited."

Apparently I had been thinking about it from the start and had already decided to go to the store.

"So I'm going to get dressed for the best."

That's what Liddy told me, I change to the best clothes, but I don't have a lot of clothes except for the uniform I bought today, and even though I passed, I can't go in uniform because I'm not enrolled. I always pick the most decent leather pants, long boots and white hemp shirts from my clothes. I'll get dressed and see, but I still don't really take the place of the usual.

Sharon comes down to the ground floor dressed in a qualitative white piece and braided leather sandal. Exactly. The pretty girl looked at her with the old man smelling in mind that she looked good in whatever she wore.

Liddy for the time being, wearing a white piece of hemp similar to Sharon's, but this one was an authentic beauty and looked well suited to that rich blonde with a clean looking white.

(Now if you wear a wide hat, you're some lady, but how dare you have a boneless short sword in your hand...)

Guy was naturally an adventurer style with long swords hanging above and below his usual leather.

Remaining prompted by Liddy, head to the downtown area of the new city - the south side of the city with the commercial guild.

Sometimes it's a summer night and it's still a little steamy but still not as hot and humid as Japan and easy to spend. People walking in the city also walk happily to see if the people going home from work are going for a drink.

Liddy doesn't take any notice of the landscape, and enters a fine stone inn like the one where the big merchant stays. We get behind so we don't delay, either, but without turning around, she caught the waiter in front of the door of a calm atmospheric restaurant on the ground floor - not the atmosphere of a dining room - and called out, "It's Lydiane Dupree I'm booking".

"It's here," the waiter tells me, but there I saw not only the merchants dressed in expensive clothes, but also the noblemen who seem to be dating the children's exams. Sharon was nervous about the vibe.

Even if I say, "You don't have to be so nervous," I just shake my neck to the side and the words don't come out. I do feel our outfit is somewhat irrelevant to this atmosphere.

(I know you don't have a dress code, but I was hoping you'd make it a little easier)

He is guided to a four-man table, seen with strange eyes from around him. The table lit a white cross with elaborately crafted lighted demonic props, and the small vase had a circle of flowers stabbed.

As soon as we take our seats, drinks will be ready. Apparently, we had this ready too, and it all goes on in Liddy's production today.

A glass of white wine - a rare glass in this world - also lines up before me and Sharon.

Liddy held the glass in his hand and said, "Zach, Sharon. Congratulations on passing," the dinner party began.

Just like a fancy hotel restaurant, dishes are served in a format close to French course dishes.

The appetizer patties - which solidified the meat and guts of the birds - had plenty of spices, no odor and were very tasty. The main fish also had an excellent aroma of butter and herbs with an elegant fire jar.

I was concerned about the price and asked Liddy, "Isn't it pretty expensive?"

She laughed and didn't answer, "It's not cheap, but it's worth it," she said.

Enjoy the food and talk about the future.

I was particularly concerned about when Guy, who had seen him pass, was going home.

When I asked him when I was going to leave,

"The process is over, and I thought I'd leave the day after tomorrow."

If I were a parent, I'd want to see, "Aren't you going to watch the entrance ceremony? I don't think there's a problem with him remaining for about twenty days," he asks, shaking his neck to the side,

"It's already been about a month and a half since we left. Lord Hector, guard the forest around the village. - Hector Marron, a squire. I'm leaving it to Mel's father, so I'm going to go back as soon as I can."

Guy's main job as a squire is vigilance around the village of Rasmore. Usually Hector and I take turns using the hunter Robs and probing for demonic traces, but while Guy is gone, Hector will be strained.

"It does strain Hector, but there are also Enos - Enos Vassel, a squire - and Will - the same Will Keegan. About twenty more days will be fine. And your father didn't tell you to come home in such a hurry."

"Surely the hall tells me not to worry about the village. But, Enos, there will remain anxiety in Will. I was wondering if Lord Hector was still burdened..."

Guy did not give in and was to leave Doctus the day after tomorrow, August 12.

(Maybe Sharon, who lives alone for the first time so early, will be homesick. Well, I'm not here all the time, so maybe it won't make much difference...)

I was worried about Sharon leaving my parents for the first time when I was ten.

"Is Sharon okay? You can have Guy stay a little longer."

To my question, she smiled and said, "It's okay. Besides, I'm more worried about the village".

I was a little nervous, but I think back soon.

(Children's independence in this world is fast. They say a lot of kids go on public service at the age of ten, so maybe they don't need to be so sick)

By the time dessert baked sweets came out, I was starting to get a little drunk.

(I don't know if it's been a long time since I've had a drink, or because it's the first time I've had one in this body, or if I get drunk with two glasses. Still, it's odd how it feels to grow up little by little. Size of body, but also alcohol and habits......)

And suddenly I remembered the time of day procedure.

"With that said, I didn't hear the chief say hello at the entrance ceremony. You kept quiet."

When I joke, Liddy's eyes swim.

"Mm, I forgot about it back in the day... with that said, I feel like I've done something too..."

"What kind of greeting did Liddy give? Let me ask you something for your information."

When I laughed niggardly, and I heard that, she leaned.

"It was then that I didn't like to go out in public. So..."

Apparently, Liddy's interpersonal phobia triggered a greeting from a freshman delegate at the admissions ceremony.

I immediately said, "I'm sorry. I didn't notice," Liddy starts laughing with Couscous.

"Ugh... you're hooked. I'm not lying, but I don't care anymore. Such an old story. And now we have you..."

Apparently, Liddy was responsible for the intoxication. When I tried to say something, I said first, "I'll tell you what's good for an apology for deceiving you."

I said, "Good thing?," he tilted his neck,

"I still have greetings from historical freshman delegates. Maybe you should go to the faculty room."

It is not a question of the past, but if there is an example I have used before, I can easily say hello or something.

(When I was a new employee, my boss's experience of making greetings was good. This kind of thing becomes like that if you mix the old one with the regular sentences appropriately. Now you have one less hassle)

And the meal's over. After the restaurant.

Guy was rarely talking to Liddy on his way home.

"And you knew that store very well. I've used it many times, too."

Liddy blows out puffy and slaps Guy in the back.

"That's not true. I've never been there before. I've only heard of that store before. Pretty expensive and splendid."

I said to the words, "Wasn't the taste in the selection?" I accidentally interrupted.

"Right. Because I'm not as loud about flavor as you are. That's why you went first. He said I'd get you excited."

Looks like Liddy chose that store just because it's famous.

The food and the flavor were good, so I have no complaints about it, but thanks Liddy for driving me crazy today. It was more like it was rising than usual or not having feet on the ground.

When you get home, you stick that thing into Liddy,

"It's decided because I'm happy. I thought you'd take it first... but I'm sure you'll be fine, but I'm glad to see the results. So praise Sharon more, too."

"Well, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't happy either..."

"And now I know I can live with you. Because Sharon passed within fifth place properly."

(I see. I rented a house, but if Sharon didn't qualify for a fifth-place, that is, enrollment waiver, she might have been brought back to the village. Then I would have entered the dorm to discipline myself. You cared about that)

The next day I went around the old town to buy souvenirs to the village of Rasmore.

A souvenir is a kind of utility book that can be used in a village. Here in the academic city of Doctus, many old books are sold. Among other things, books and animal and plant drawings on agriculture and civil architectural techniques are necessary for the village, but because they are quite expensive, I had decided to buy them here.

Of course, the real souvenir should be bought by Guy in the adventurer's city of Periclitle.

August 12th.

Guy leaves at sunrise.

I had finished writing to my fathers last night and had given it to him.

Guy rents a horse in the Adventurer's Guild to leave, so we'll drop him off there, too.

"Well, I guess it's safer to be alone than to have us, but still, on the road, be careful. Say hello to your fathers."

I take Guy's hand and send him out with a handshake.

Sharon was just lonely or slightly top-down.

Guy said, "Don't bother Master Zach," and then he was hugging her with a small voice saying, "Enjoy it because it's a corner".

There are tears in both Sharon's eyes at the words.

"Take care of yourself, Father. I'll do my best too..."

Guy bowed his head to me again, then crossed the horse in a flicker and headed east down the street.

We dropped him off until we couldn't see him, and then we slowly went back home.

Life for the three of us is about to begin.

(For me, it will be the first time I have come to this world to get out under the asylum of my grandfather or father. Until now, no matter what I say, one of my squire's helped me. I have Liddy, but as far as I'm concerned, I don't want her to protect me, I want her to. So from today on, I'll be independent. To a man who protects his family like his father or grandfather......)

I was just in the mood, and Liddy suddenly hugged me.

"We're going to live together today. Five years is not long, so we need to have fun."

When they say that with a smile, they somehow shred their temper.

(I put in a corner temper... well, it's just fun... no, I'm here to get some power. We need to make sure it doesn't get flushed...)

"It's good to have fun, but we have to be strong. Like not taking delays on the remaining Mel and Dan in the village."

Sharon snorts at my words, but Liddy says, "Because I'm serious" and points. But soon, he said, "Right. You're playing here and you don't want to regret it later..."

Before I changed her mind, I said, "So I'm going to head to the woods now," and I started putting on my gear.
