Dream Star

The feelings lingering in her heart ever since that day. "This entire time I held back, I kept it all to myself." Lila mumbled, her words wavered. "I wanted to go back to his side, I wanted to return to him. I wanted to get off the train that time and rush into his arms. I never wanted to part from him. But he insisted, even though it caused him to break down."

"Yes."

"That person is foolish but I think I gave up far too easily to." Lila muttered. If she only said something - if she insisted more than the situation now would be different.

"Indeed it may seem like that. But I believe your decision was the correct one. Like this everybody got what they wanted."

Everybody huh?

"You know--" Ameno suddenly trailed off and shook his head. "Well we can continue this conversation another time, it seems like your husband is here."

At that comment Lila glanced over at the direction he pointed at. Not too far from where they stood Haruka. Judging from the cigarette in his hands he was there for quite some time now.

Lila bowed and quickly rushed over.

She slumped her head on Harukas c.h.e.s.t. "Did you hear all that?"

"A little."

Is he mad? Haruka placed a gentle kiss on her temple. "Lets go, yeah?"

"Mmm."

With those words said the two of them walked down the hall. Nobody spoke and it was quiet for a good few minutes. She wondered what Haruka thought right now. What is going on in his head? Should she break the silence first?

"Are you okay?" Haruka suddenly asked.

Lila blinked and looked at him puzzled. What is he talking about?

"Last night…"

"Ah.." Lila finally understood. "Um." She laughed awkwardly. "My legs are a bit wobbly." It was difficult to stand up let alone walk. Thankfully Ameno-senpai turned a blind eye to it, otherwise she would not be able to speak to him calmly.

At that comment Haruka pointed to the benches. "Shall we sit down?"

"Okay."

Haruka led her to the seating area and the moment she sat down, he brought his lips to her neck. "I wanted to tell you to take it easy for today, and I will attend to all the meetings. But you left so quickly."

Lila saw the distraught look on his face and panicked. "No uh you misunderstood."

"Was it to sudden? Sorry."

"That isnt it…" She trailed off and ran her hands through his hair. "I was just nervous."

"I see." Haruka lifted his face from her neck and cupped her cheeks. "What about tonight?"

"Ton-to-"

Haruka nodded. "Tonight too."

Uh-- that's right, Haruka is like this. It was the same thing when they first did it too. It seems like she wont be able to escape tonight either but she doesn't mind that situation. She likes the idea that Haruka will touch her again, especially since she plans to leave in the next two-three days.

Lila shyly nodded and Haruka beamed. This was the first time she saw such a childish reaction from him. Who would have thought that he could make such a face?

"Thank you Lila, I am happy."

Why is he thanking her for something like this for? Normally it is difficult for Haruka to say thank you, but when it comes to this stuff he says it so easily.

"How was the meeting? Were they harsh on you?"

Lila shook her head. "It was okay. They were mainly talking in english so it was bit hard to understand at first." Thankfully somebody noticed and switched to using japanese. She felt bad that people made exceptions for her. But this is how things are now. "You started teaching me english when I went to Star town to recruit me, but I still didn't learn it well."

Haruka sighed. "Learning a language isn't easy. Besides you were busy."

"I learned korean quickly though."

"People adapt and learn at their own pace. You may learn something faster than another person or slower. But it does not matter much at the end of the day as long as you learn it." Haruka nibbled on her lips. "You're a fast learner."

"Idiot." Lila scolded knowing what he was referring to. "You're too experienced."

"Does that still bother you? At the start you would not let me get close to you because of that." Haruka asked seriously.

She blinked when she heard his tone. Could it be that this troubled her husband this entire time? It seems like despite all their serious conversations, there are many things they have yet to discuss with one another. But that is also a part of the process of change. In order for humans to change - they have to make the first step. The first step is communication, they have to overcome the barrier of conveying their thoughts and feelings.

"No, it doesn't." Lila trailed off. "I wonder what would have happened though, if you didnt leave me from the start."

Would they have ended up as a couple right away? Or would they have

circled one another awkwardly for a while like Kiryu and her?

"You wouldn't be so innocent."

Lila hits him and Haruka laughs. "Is it that surprising? I mean.."

"Ah, I wanted to ask you, do you still go to the gym?"

Haruka sighed and flicked her forehead. "Don't change the topic so quickly."

"Can I ask?"

"Yeah, but lately I am thinking to quit. The whole work out thing was because of Rikka anyway. Sophia told me it would make me look more attractive in Rikkas eyes and sure enough that was the part of me that Rikka liked."

Lila pouted when she heard those words. So it was to do with Rikka? She buried her face in his arms and held him tightly. Haruka should focus on how to make her like him more. She already likes him this much, but if she does come up with ideas then he might as well listen to them.

Haruka laughed and cupped her cheeks. "Well, most of the things including my career was all for your sake anyway."
