Duchess Mira

"What just happened?!" Claude said his eyes widening slightly as he slammed the door.

Claude met a lot of crazy fangirls in his life but that took him off guard by a lot. He removed his wig and tossed it at the side of his bed. He closed his eyes and started to remember that scene again.

"Damn it!!!" He screamed.

"Is he gay?" Claude asked to himself. "The way he acted it looked like he did that a lot..." Claude's eyes widened a bit . "No, no , no..."

Then suddenly Claude felt a presence who just entered the room. Claude stood up immediately and pulled out his dagger in a flash. Then he saw it was just his assistant Cane and sighed with relief. "Oh. I am sorry, Cane. " Claude said placing his dagger back inside his jacket.

Cane sighed and said "I could never beat you really"

"Well it seems you have a lot on your mind, Master." Cane said looking at his Master's messy hair and ignored it and continued "I came to report something sir."

"Go on..." Claude said.

"We need to go back soon." Cane said seriously.

"What's the matter?" Claude said.

"There is a rebellion in one of the newly aquired land of the empire, just one of the small neighboring countries of the Aiphilian kingdom before and they are preparing for war in about a month. " Claude sighed frustrated. "Okay, we are going back after I had a meeting with the King so in three days. Please start preparing when I leave tomorrow, okay?" Cane only nodded his eyes and left without another word.

Claude sighed feeling frustrated and felt his neck feeling hot. "Damn you, Duke Elias..."

Later that night the founding members assembled in Duke Elias room.

"My lady is it true you are going to the south?" Kyle said looking worried as he put his glasses up.

Mira smiled at Kyle "Yes, is true but before that I will be discussing our next plan. Ronald are you ready with the decoy?" Mira said looking at Ronald as she stood up and went in front of the chess board.

"Yes, my company is ready but we are just waiting for the Empire's famous Viscount Gilbert to reply." Ronald paused and looked at Mira. "But are you sure we did the right thing to join him in the SWORDS?"

"Are you doubting me, Ronald?" Mira said coldly. "N-no it's just-"

"Don't worry, Ronald." Catrina intervened. Ronald looked at Catrina and Catrina continued "Lady Mira is obviously trying to make him the dog of SWORDS." With that Alexander's eyes widen.

"Is it true, my lady?!?" Alexander shouted. "That move is too risky. Even for you..."

Nicolas, Catrina assistant said "Even I think it is to risky, lady Mira. My lady might get harmed if anything happens if she did I am coming for your head." When he said that Leo who is listening in the corner of the room was about to move until Mira removed the dagger inside her dress came behind Nicolas suddenly with a dagger.

"Remember your place, Nicolas... " Mira whispered coldly as she put the dagger near his neck releasing her killing intent. "Are you forgetting what I was known for in the past?"

Nicolas got goosebump and started to tremble and Catrina bowed at Mira and said "I am sorry for my servant's loud mouth! I promise I will punish him accordingly! So please don't kill him, My lady!!!"

As she said that Catrina was trembling as she felt the dangerous atmosphere in the room. Mira looked at her coldly and just hid her dagger. She whispered to Nicolas "You are lucky that I didn't torture you... say that one more time and it will be an useless life for you. Remember I am not merciful enough just giving people a fast and painless death..."

As she said that Nicolas dropped to his knees trembling as. Catrina came near him.

Alexander sighed and clapped his hands everyone looked at him. "Well, please calm yourself my lady because you have yet to explain about your trip to the south and Viscount Gilbert. " Mira nodded and looked at Nicolas again. "You are dismissed but if you come near me or let me see you in the next weeks you are dead. " Nicolas nodded and crawled to the door where Leo opened it and glared at him.

When the door closed Mira sighed "Viscount Gilbert is no ordinary noble. " Mira said. People looked at her feeling confused. "He has a second identity like me."

All of their eyes widen.

"W-what? " Kyle said. Obviously they are all thinking the same thing 'Someone with a second identity like their mistress?!?'

"He is the great inventor, Hugo Ashworth..." As Mira said that the room got terribly silent.

Catrina stood up and broke the silence. "Hugo Ashworth? The Hugo Ashworth?!?"

"Yes, THE Hugo Ashworth and I have obtained something from one our expeditions from our spies named of Beatriz. She found out something a great weapon that can kill man in one go. " Mira paused and continued "I tested it out and killed a rabbit with it and it was incredible but there is a flaw it can't be used for assassination because it produces a loud sound that could be heard from a long distance but think about it A new era will begin soon an era with more advanced weapons and knowledge!"

As she said that her eyes sparkled and everyone in the room was stunned. A weapon more dangerous and mightier than a sword?

Though stunned, Ronald squeaked "Why hasn't Viscount Gilbert-"

"Show the weapon to the Empire?" Ronald nodded at Mira. "The Emperor knows already about it..."

"So isn't it pointless my lady?" Alexander said. "For I am sure the Emperor has began a mass development of it. " Mira shook her head.

"You are wrong, Alexander. Viscount Gilbert will never give it to the Emperor because he knows that with it thousands or even millions of lives will be killed." Mira said at the confused looking Alexander.

"So how-"

"But we can use his soft heart against him by letting him trust our cause first. " When Mira said that Ronald's eyes widen.

"Genius!!! Our madam is a genius!!!" Mira chuckled and Ronald held Mira's hands and said "So what is the name of the weapon Lady Mira?"

Mira looked at Ronald's gleaming eyes and smiled at his curiosity.

"Well from the information we have received from our spies Viscount Gilbert or rather Hugo Ashworth calls it a Gun."
