Electrify

I looked at the chitauri who were poring out of the wormhole like ants from an anthill. I saw Tony fly up and take out one leviathan with an arsenal of missiles. I sighed and fired a bold of lightning at the other leviathan and watched it convulse in the air for a few minutes before falling down. A few of the chitauri aliens crawled out from the dead body and began firing at the buildings. They took out nearly 40 civilians before I could takedown the first one. I used my knife to slice clean through its head. I immediately moved on to the next one and then the next. I didn't stop till the entire street was full of dead aliens.

This drew the attention of another flying squad and they came at me full speed. I was going to fire another bolt but Tony flew down and fired a few missiles taking them all out. He flew down and land in front of me.

"What the hell. I was thrown out of the top floor. Where were you?" He yelled while taking out another flier.

"The comm was fried due to my power." I said and blast another one with electricity.

He gave me a button like device and pointed at the side of his head and flew off. I sighed and put the thing behind the ear and boom. I heard police chatter, shield chatter, Peter screaming.

"Hello, Mr. Electro. This is Jarvis. How may I assist you." A British voice sounded out.

"Clean out the chatter and guide me to the nearest hotspot full of aliens." I said and the chatter was gone.

"Sir, the nearest place with the highest concentration of alien is at…" He told me the address and flew there in moments.

The chitauri immediately focused on me and fired their weapons. Their blasts were made out of plasma, but the heat didn't bother me in the slightest. The impact was a different matter altogether. It was like Peter's full strength kick. I was thrown off quite a distance and had to fly to the nearest alien to kill him. They behaved like a hive of sorts, if one of them saw me, all of them would drop whatever they were doing and tried to kill me. One of them even had a suicide maneuver and nearly blasted me off.

While my speed was many times theirs, the aliens number in thousands and I was running on a half tank due to the leviathan takedown. I had to recharge at the nearest power line and continued the massacre. I looked at my blade and sighed, it was great but it didn't even cut through the skin of the leviathan, the carapace like skin was nearly 2 feet thick.

"Tony, do you have a blade of some sort?" I asked.

"What? A blade? I have a plasma sword but that thing weighs like 20 kgs are you good with that?" He replied.

"Sure. Where is it?" I asked.

"It's on the display in the gallery in my building. I unlocked it but you need to go there to get it." He said

"Jarvis." I said and he guided me to the gallery.

I went there and it was inside a glass case. Jarvis opened the case and it picked it up. It was heavy and made like a Japanese long Saber. It was only bladed on one side, it had a few engraved Japanese character that roughly translated to 'better than light Saber'. I sighed and strapped it to my back and drew it.

"Mr. Electro, the blade is power my an battery that only last 1 hour, perhaps you can charge it with your electricity. Please, read the instruction manual." He said.

"No, time." I said and gripped the hilt.

The blade immediately turned on and glowed brightly in light blue color at the edged part, while the blunt side grew darker and was glowing with circuits. I slashed it in the air and it made a nice sound. I sped up and ran out to slash at the nearest alien. The blade went through like hot knife through butter, the cut sizzled and was cauterized before the alien could even realized that he had been cut in two. I roared in delight and jumped at another group.

"Stark you seeing this?" Steve's voice came through the comes.

"yes, but I am working on believing. Did you stop to get a takeout? Where were you?" Tony grumbled.

"We need to stop them fast." Steve said.

"Spiderman, you go and stop the ones at mid level." He said and grunted.

"Okay, captain." Peter yelled. "Don't you dare plant eggs in us."

"Nice one kid." Tony complimented.

Steve then talked to Thor and before he could brief him, Thor flew away. I heard, bolts of lightning near me and I felt him rage in the sky. In the meanwhile, I was busy destroying squads up on squads. Which lead to the aliens, sending in more drones to be killed. In the past hour, I had felt the need to recharge but I intentionally avoided the leviathans and focused solely on the aliens. I even saw Peter swinging by and he was focusing on the climbers that scaled the side and got into the buildings. His idea was to web them up or to throw them down the buildings to die. Somewhere, in between I saw an fireball floating around and burning stuff up. There were also reports of a few other masked people rising up to defend. I smiled and concentrated on the task at hand.

Almost, another half an hour later, I had cut my way all the up to the Madison Avenue. I saw Steve fighting a whole bunch of alien with nothing but boxing and yelling, yet he was still surprisingly effective.

Natasha climbed over the huge car pile and joined us. While Clint was on a telephone pole shooting down any alien out of sight for us.

"We can't continue this much longer." Steve yelled out.

"The energy around the device is impenetrable." Thor said and landed in front of us.

"What if we torture Loki till he gives up?" Clint yelled from the light post.

"So, this all looks terrible." I heard a voice from the car rubble.

"Bruce." Steve said and approached him

"Looks real bad." He said kicking a dead alien.

"I have seen worse." Natasha added softly.

"I'm sorry." Bruce said looking ashamed.

"We could use a little worse." She said with a smile.

"Stark, we have Banner here." Steve said on the comms.

"Okay, bringing the party to you." He said and immediately appeared in our field of view with 2 huge leviathans on his tail.

"Dr. Banner It would be great if you got angry." Steve said with a warning.

"That my secret. I am always angry." He said and transformed into the green giant within a second.

When he turned around he had begun a punch and when it connected to the Leviathan, he was fully grown. The transition was great and he looked feral as he smiled back at us. I looked at the other Leviathan, Thor launched a huge bolt of lightning at it and caused it to die mid air, while the leviathan Bruce had punched was missing a huge portion of it head. Tony launched a couple of missiles and blew it apart.

"Break it down, Cap." Tony said and looked at us.

"Until, we can get that portal shut our priority is containment. Tony, you are on the perimeter. Anything that tries to get out, you turn it back or turn it to ash. Clint, I want you on that tower, call out patterns and strays, Thor you got lightning, light those bastards up." Steve said pointing at the portal. "Spiderman, you are on mid level. Clean those up. Natasha and I will be at the ground level. Electro, you cut down anything you see. And hulk, Smash." Steve said and I sped up and rushed away.

I heard a roar and a loud crash, I guess Hulk doesn't need much to let loose. I began to clear out the streets and helped a bunch of people to safety while other concentrated on the aliens. I was once again very far from where I had began and I saw a bunch of explosion on a decrepit looking manor. I climbed to the top and saw a bald woman cutting down the aliens with what looked like fans made of glowing energy. She looked peaceful despite the number of alien far out numbering her. I sighed and sped myself up to the max and cut down every alien on the roof. I slowed down and saw here surprise.

"Electro, Come to this building once you want to truly learn." She said and disappeared from my view.

Holy f.u.c.k, her invisibility was on a whole new level. I could not even sense her bioelectricity anymore and the manor felt dead, abandoned for years. There it was again, that feeling that I am missing something, the feeling that I had gotten before like I was forgetting something. I shook off the creepy feeling and found another squad of aliens to cut. But before leaving I memorized the address. 177A Bleecker Street.

"Captain, I found a way to shut the portal." Natasha yelled over the comms.

"Do it." Steve yelled.

"Stop." Tony yelled and sighed.

"Stark, these things are still coming."

"There is a nuke on the way and I know just the place to put it." Tony said in a serious voice.

"Stark, you know that's a one way trip." Steve said.

"Save the rest for when I get back." Tony said.

"Did we just over look the part where the US government tried to nuke New York?" Peter said and everyone remained quiet. "So, just me?"

I looked at the missile and saw Tony grab onto it and steer it into the portal.

"close it." Steve yelled out and the beam powering the portal disappeared.

The portal began to shrink and I waited for Tony to return. I had almost given up when he fell through it.

"Son of a gun." Steve cheered.

"He is not stopping." Natasha yelled.

"On it." I said and began to run at my top speed towards the man. I had almost reached the place of the fall and was deciding how to catch a metal man when Hulk jumped out of no where and caught him. I sighed in relief and looked over the man when hulk put him down beside me.

"Jarvis, vitals?" I said.

"Mr. Stark is not breathing. The primary diagnosis is..." Jarvis went ahead and listed the treatments.

"Move." Thor pushed me out of the way and literally pried open the armor's faceplate.

We looked at him and were about to take of the rest of the armor when Hulk roared. After what felt like a bomb going off in my ear, Tony was scared awake. We laughed and sighed in relief.

"Tell me nobody kissed me." He joked.q

"There is a shawarma place near here kid, I don't know what it is but let's have that." He said closing his eyes.

"We have unfinished business." Steve said and we looked at the Stark tower.

"Shawarma after." He said and got up.

"Peter, let's leave." I said and that appeared to have pulled him out of the reverie he was in.

"Oh, sorry. I thought yoi died." He told Tony and jumped to the nearest pole and started swinging towards the building.

Tony, looked dazed for a moment but flew up. I followed him to the tower. In mere moments, we all were stand over the unconscious form of Loki. He stirred and woke up. He looked around and raised his hands.

"If it's the same to you, I will have the drink now." He said and Thor hammered him through the floor.

"Point break, that cost me half a million. No fighting here." Stark said and a few flying gadgets flew in and tied up Loki

"My apologies. I will get you some gold next time as an offering." He said looked at his brother. "Loki, all father will judge you at Asgard. You are to remain silent." He said and threw a Piece of metal at his face.

The metal contorted into a gab and latched onto his face. Tony immediately looked impressed and tried to touch the gag but Thor stopped him.

"Stark, the item is to be only touched by a realms guardian or royal elite. If you touch it, it will kill you." He said and looked genuinely frightened.

"How?" He asked.

"I charmed to work that way, I don't really know the details." Thor said and looked at me. "You feel different." He said and picked up a bottle of liquor that was lying on the floor and opened.

While thor enjoyed his beverage, Natasha called over shields ground agents. I took off the comm unit and grabbed the phone that Natasha handed over.

"Fury, We need to talk." I said.

"Kid, I am busy cleaning up. We will talk later." He said and hung up.

Peter was standing still, looking over the destroyed city. I came and stood beside him.

"Did we fail?" He asked.

"Yes. We were outnumbered. Out gunned. Out smarted. Out maneuvered. This was a grade A disaster." I said.

"How do we prepare for this? How much training or skill will be enough?" He asked looking at the human bits blood on his body.

"We can't. There is no possibility of us predicting this. It was a disaster." Tony stepped over. "For all its worth. We did save a city, some of it at least. We learned a lesson. No we move forward and be better."

"Thank you, Mr. Stark." Peter said.

"No, thank you kid. You rose to the occasion. You did all you could do and that is all anyone could ask of you. Now, hold your head high and be proud of what you accomplished. You did good." He said an patted Peter's shoulder and left.

I saw him shuddered a bit and then calm down. I knew he was crying but he wanted to hide it and I will accept that. I put my hand on his shoulder and waited.

Soon, the team arrived and picked up the scepter and the cube along with the single prisoner. After all was packed up I finally held the sword and sighed. I put the sword on the bar and was about to leave.

"Electro, Mr. Stark has asked me to deliver the sword to you and has asked you to accept it." Jarvis said.

"Tell him thank you for me." I strapped the sword to my back and left.

I was in the air on my way to the base when I finally got a call from MOM. Goodbye world, it was fun while it lasted.
