Elemental Dissonance.

Bilal was stuck in a state of bewilderment because it wasn't everyday he gets chased by evil rainbow clouds, that ends up vanquishing many lives in the process. 

Although he wasn't a saint, he wasn't a demon either. His thoughts and his instinct were of a Normal human being whose body was operated by a series of chemical reactions which would do anything to preserve itself, even though he didn't like the outcome; it was life, anything can happen and what's done can't be restored. 

He calmed himself down and walked towards those corpses to get a closer look, the sight was even more horrifying than it seemed from a distance, he got to witness the true horrors of those clouds. Those corpses didn't even have a single patch of intact skin, their entire skin seemed to be burnt from the inside out, they looked like roasted chicken just coming out of a microwave. In the eye socket, there was only a dark hollow space left there, nothing more. Some corpses had burnt out holes all over their body, it seemed like something had erupted out of those holes. 

He counted the bodies there were a total of 12 of them, 7 seemed to be the restaurant's workers and 5 of them looked like guests. The scene outside was even more dreadful, the whole outer structure of the establishment seemed to be filled with cracks, the tables and chairs were swept meters by their original position, the people who were sitting outside didn't even have the chance to scream as only their skeletons were left. 

It was quite an unbelievable thing for it to happen in less than a minute. 

Breathing heavily he walked outside, towards the old couple, but what he saw was quite unexpected, the old couple whom he saw sitting right next to the entrance were incredibly lucky as the corpse was intact, there was no burning pattern, no burnt holes, nothing. Heck, even their clothes were completely intact. The same could be said about the Middle-aged man sitting right next to them. 

He really wondered how did they get so less damage, but he couldn't make a single hint of why that happened so he just left it as it is because he wasn't a professional and wouldn't be able to find any clue even after dissecting these bodies a hundred times over. 

Abruptly a great idea came to his mind, even though he couldn't make heads and tails from their bodies it doesn't mean the System can't either. He remembered the Research tab, it was mentioned to be a very powerful system function in the 'System Tutorial' letter used for researching, scanning & analysing purposes. 

"System open the research tab and find the cause of their deaths." Bilal spoke in his mind.

Suddenly a blue progress bar appeared in front of him once it was complete, a video movie-like scene played out in front of him, this time the people were replaced by Blue dummies with no faces. The rainbow clouds were the same too, everything seemed very real even the restaurant was perfectly copied with the same stained glass panes. The same scene played out at the end as well, the rainbow cloud touched them and they died this time as well. 

But one thing shocked him was the old couple and their son. He saw it very clearly this time in the simulation, even though they were the first target of the rainbow clouds they weren't affected as the people inside the restaurant. He could only come to one conclusion that their physique was somewhat different from the rest of them and it would also mean one thing that everyone had different capacities of resisting the effect of that Rainbow cloud.

He definitely wanted to know how exactly did they resist that much 'Energy' in comparison to other, so he extended his hand towards one of the corpses which was found inside the restaurant and touched it. 

"System scan this body and give detailed information on the damage of 'Energy' to the body."

Excessive storage of Energy in the skin layer is found that lead to the decolourisation of skin, disruption in the function of Internal organs found leading to internal bleeding. An enormous amount of immediate keratin production found leading to hardening of the skin. All the excessive fats, proteins, lipids utilised in resisting the Energy leading to charred skin. 

No clue regarding eyes is found, certain Mutations found in the victim's brain similar to Host in minuscule quantities.] 

Although Bilal couldn't fully understand the report, he was still thunderstruck because all this happened in just a duration of few moments, he couldn't imagine what would've happened if their bodies were to be able to resist the 'Energy'. 

He then scanned the other bodies with the same method and reports were quite unsurprisingly the same. Some had Mutation in the appendix, some had Mutation in the spine, while some had nothing. 

But all of them had one thing in common, that is they had similar patterns of mutations in their brain in smaller quantities. 

After the analysis of 15 inner corpses he walked towards the corpses found outside, only 3 corpses were in the condition to be analysed as others had already become skeletons. 

Out of the three corpses, the body of the middle-aged man was in the optimum condition after him was the bodies of the old couple. 

"System analyse both these bodies and see if there's something abnormal in their physique" Bilal said and lightly touched their bodies.
