Elemental Dissonance.

Chapter 21 - Advent of Dissonance (1).

Location: Somewhere in UAE

After a full 5 minutes of 'intense' planning, Bilal analysed his situation and listed out all the plausible things he could do right now.

They were....

1) Go back to Dubai

2) Check out what's the situation at Abu Dhabi

3) Head to Riyadh

The first option was good as he could find out what happened to Omar because at the time of his call Apocalypse hasn't arrived so it's definitely suspicious. And he could also get the company of many of his ex-pat friends from the Labour camp.

The second option was Plausible too as he would stash his belongings in Abu Dhabi and then try finding some clue of what's happening. At the same time, it wasn't that far from the MBZ city just 100-125km and he could also check the situation of MBZ along the way.

The third option wasn't a good idea as it was in Saudi Arabia and he is in UAE currently, it was way too far. But if he were to somehow reach there he could meet another System Users and would plan ahead of what to do.

But it seemed that fate has sewn another sweater of plans for him. As before he could decide what to choose he saw the sky getting dark and dark by the second, it wasn't the clouds that were covering the sky instead it seemed it was happening naturally like the transition from day tonight.

There was no moon, no stars not even a hint of them appearing in the sky. Instead, the dark sky seems to be absorbing the light like a crazy huge black hole.

"What is happening?!?! " Bilal muttered subconsciously and went out of the truck to get a better view.

No matter how far he tried looking it was the same, it appeared to swallow up the entire day sky. He could understand whatever's happening right is definitely not anything good.

Then suddenly without even a hint of warning, the dark sky slowly started glistering in a bright red glow, it looked like the entire world is on fire, but there was no heat.

Very soon he discovered a horrifying fact, he couldn't move his body, at all and he couldn't move his head either. As if the whole world's time has stopped on its own.

Just then out of the red sky, a pair of deep red giant eyes condensed out of nowhere. The Red eyes had three dark red rings as pupils which seem to be rotating constantly in a clockwise manner.

The red glistering sky seemed to rumble as that horrifying red eye blinked and a loud raging voice echoed into Bilal's head like a celestial announcement directly coming from the heavens.

"MORTALS, HOW PETTY OF YOU TO THINK OF ESCAPING THE SACRED DISSONANCE, WITH THESE METAL SCRAPS THAT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE EVEN A THREAD OF MAGIC POWER?!?"

Even the world seems to be shaking from fear, suddenly Bilal felt something weird as if something was coming, tearing the walls of atmosphere towards the Earth.

The buffering time seems to have been ended and everything started moving once again, but it wasn't the time to celebrate as he looked up and saw, from the red-hued sky hundreds of fireballs the size of entire buildings could be seen falling like meteors, they were akin to raging balls of fire ready to destroy everything to dust.

If someone were to look at those fireballs through a telescope carefully they would find those things weren't fireballs in the first place. Instead, they resembled satellites, with glass panels and electronic components hanging out of them, getting burned to carbon from ruby red flames surrounding them.

Unfortunately, Bilal wasn't one of those people with a telescope, all he saw was raging fireballs, being hurled towards him from the skies. Especially one of them which seemed to be the size of a minibus coming towards his direction.

"Oh f.u.c.k, why is all this happening with me" Bilal sulked

All of his instincts appeared to be screaming in terror commanding him to run away at that instant. He jumped right back in the truck and turned the key, but it was of no avail because exiting the truck he turned the engine 'OFF'.

He confirmed that Meteor was really heading towards him by

Pulling his head out of the window. Without wasting a single moment more, he jumped out of the door and decided to start running on foot. Every step of his carried a chance for him to escape from this prejudice.

But at the end of the day he was only a Human being with human-like capabilities, how can he outrun a giant flaming meteor hurled towards him from the sky.

All of it appeared to be a game of fate from the start, his late arrival for consignment, the trek in the cave, Apocalypse preparation in MBZ, the chase of the Rainbow cloud and now a flaming meteor freshly out of sky ready to burn him to cinder any second.

While still running, he looked back and came to know it was too late, his legs just stopped there on their own accord as if they had finally run out of juice. He just stopped there looking at the blinding ball of light coming at him, he had already accepted his destiny.

Feeling the heat from the Flaming ball, he closed his eyes as he already knew what's going to happen.

"It's a good thing I'm here to save you Awakened one, when the time is near, choose the side of Phairs, not the elementals"  a voice came from behind.

"Silent casting - Earth wall"

He opened his eyes to look, but what he found was a mighty, sandstone wall erected in front of him. Startled he turned his head around to look back at the voice source, but all he could find was a dissipating Humanoid shaped shadow, drifting and mixing into the earth.
