End of The World? Time to Level Up!

Soft panting was heard as the pitter pater of feet crashing against the floor from running rung out in a dark and gloomy alleyway. A small girl no less than 12 years old was frantically looking behind her seeing two shadows follow her fast.

"[Binding Snake!]" shouted a gruff male voice.

Four glowing purple lines were shot out the one figures hand and the lines wrapped around the girl's legs causing her to yell out in pain as she was tripped to the floor. She slowly opened her eyes and saw that the item which she was holding was a big piece of bread that was now soggy due to falling into a puddle of water. That's when her eyes widened as she frantically tried to scratch the ropes causing her nails to be completely ripped off coating the lines with a dark red shade of blood.

"There is no use trying to escape "said the gruff voice.

"That skill is used to imprison only the strongest of criminals and ghouls." bragged the gruff male.

"Speaking of ghouls why don't we feed you to them I'm sure they would be veryyy satisfied from a filthy thief such as yourself.

Both men laughed crazily.

"I only took food for my family they are starving please let me go it wont happen again!" Pleaded the little girl tears escaping her eyes.

"We need the food more than you!" shouted the gruff man

Both men walked forward out the shadows and you could see they had bulky figures indicating they were getting plenty of food. They were wearing the hunter corp uniform each one had an arm band with the number 3 on.

"You peasants don't need food you all should die like the vermin you are" sneered the man at the crying girl.

"You are even a "null" Level that makes you worse than peasants at least they could be a good meat shield." said the second male as he stared at the girl like she was a piece of trash on the floor.

The girl looked up angrily through her tears and picked up a brick next to her.

"I may be a null level but I'm still human!" shouted the girl.

She screamed and picked up a brick next to her and threw tit at the one soldier who was too busy laughing to notice the brick which seconds later hit his fore head causing him to scream in pain as he fell to the ground.

"YOUR DEAD!" shouted the second solider.

The man took out his weapon which was a spear and he activated a skill.

"[Golem Hunter]!" roared the man.

The spear glowed brown as he launched it towards the girl which eyes went wide expecting her death. A big explosion rung out gushing black smoke out the alleyway drawing in the attention of any people walking by. As the smoke settled down the girl slowly opened her to see a big green glowing wall in front of her that was starting to crumble away seconds later. Both men looked scared and started to shake slightly seeing a figure behind the girl.

"You were so cocky when facing this helpless little girl but now that someone who is stronger than you showed up you feel fear? "spoke a robotic voice.

A heavy modulated robotic voice rung out in the alleyway. The little girl looked behind her and saw a figure glad in a black cloak that covered their entire body, the right sleeve was missing and a red and black robotic prosthetic arm was glowing. She couldn't see the figures face as it was wearing an old traditional Japanese mask that depicted the face of a demon or know as a "oni" and the coats hood was up showing not even hair the person had.

"It's you the vigilante One winged Black Crow!" shouted the girl stars in her eyes.

The figure reached its other hand out the black cloak to reveal it was wrapped in bandages but still softly rubbed the little girls head softly causing her to have a big smile on her face. Both men roared as they rushed the vigilante with their spears raised. The figure quickly picked the girl up and dashed out the ally way onto the street dodging an explosion from the soldiers using a skill. Crow spun on the palm of their feet and threw a glowing dagger which zigzagged in the air. The dagger borrowed its way through the one soldier head causing a river of blood to slowly pour out the now empty tunnel. The solider twitched for a few more seconds and they collapsed on the floor his blood staining the brown rustic concrete.

The other solider shrieked in fear and fell on his behind shaking his eyes never leaving the now dead corpse.

"You wear the skin of a human but deep down your nothing but a lowly insect that immediately reverts to your true nature when you are in danger." spoke Crow slowly.

The man looked in front of him and saw the figure was looking down at him the demon masks eyes were glowing red as they peered in the soul of the man.

"We are soldiers we protect the city and the people! I am no insect!!" shouted the man afraid out of his mind.

"A solider huh..." said Crow.

Crow chuckled softly and then took out a purple horseback hunting bow which had a fox tail at the bottom part of the bow.

"A solider is a person who stakes their life for their fellow brethren, they are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to save everyone they promised to but you... you are not a solider you're not even a human your nothing but a leech." replied Crow emotionless.

The figure pulled the string back of the bow and a black arrow materialized out of the air and red lightning escaped it occasionally.

"If you want to kill you must be ready to be killed yourself..." said Crow.

"[Oath Breaker]" spoke Crow out.

The figure let go of the string and the arrow launched into the figure as a massive explosion rung out through the city. When the dust settled down it showed a big crater and nothing remaining of the two men. Crow let a sigh out and looked at the little girl who had stars in her eyes.

"THAT WAS AWESOMME!" shouted the little girl.

Crow laughed lightly and took something out their inventory. They threw the item at the girl who juggled with it abit but then caught it and looked at it with wide eyes. It was a box of food pills! Food pills was an invention Squad 6 had developed a few months ago, they all contain the vitamins and nutrients a full coarse meal would have! They tried to give everyone in the city a steady supply of them but people got greedy and raided manufacturing sites causing the city to stop production immediately.

"Use them sparingly ok?" said Crow.

The little girl looked up again only to see the figure disappeared and few black feathers were left floating in the air.

On a building roof top appeared Crow out of thin air and released a breath they were holding. The figure reached with their robotic arm to take off the demon mask which released steam as it left the face. The wind picked up and blew the hood off reveling long flowing brown hair. Crow opened their eyes to reveal glowing green that shown softly. The one-winged Crow was none other than May Fall. Her face was mature and you could see a few black bags underneath her eyes and a big scar was present on her right cheek from her fight in the war with Angst.

"What happened to this city...��� said May.

The girl looked over the once bright and hopeful city which was now nothing but an empty husk of what it once was.

"If only the war didn't happen one year ago..." said May to herself.

She looked down at her prosthetic arm and flexed the fingers causing a soft metal clicking to be heard and she softly caressed the scar on her face.

"I hope you know what you're doing... Sebastian." said May as her eyes glowed green softly.

On the other side of the city it showed a bus stop building that was engulfed in flames and it was surrounded by Hunter Corp soldiers with their weapons drawn out, in the middle of the fire were 3 figures that was sitting on a pile of dead soldiers.

"Geez you guys are a bore you'd think you all would be strong. " spoke the first figure.

The first figure was a man that appeared to be 18 years old. He had a black leather jacket with black jeans and black military grade boots adorned his feet as he wore a plain blue v neck t-shirt underneath his jacket. He had glowing purple hair that was spiked up and had yellow eyes that shown against the light of the flames. His name was Gale Metal.

"Well it has been a year since the big war Boss maybe they rusty?" spoke the second figure.

The second figure was also a man who was 18 years old. He looked the same as Gale except he had messy red hair that reached his shoulders with black highlights and wore a red plain t- shirt instead of the blue V-neck. His eye color consisted of a dark brown color. His name was Lio Virgo

"That makes it worst what have they been doing then sitting on their asses?" said the final figure.

The last figure was a teenage girl that was 18 years old as well. She had the black leather jacket as well except she wore black denim shorts and had black stockings that was ripped here and there. She had dark orange hair in a side pony tail with blue high lights. Her eye color was a glowing purple. Her name was Angel Grace.

"WE HAVE TO PROTECT THE CITY FROM TERRORIST LIKE YOU!" shouted one soldier.

"YOU PEOPLE CAME AND..." shouted Lio only to stop.

He was cut off when Lio saw that Gale lifted his hand.

"Don't explain anything to them Lio they won't listen." said Gale.

As they were talking a military truck came driving up and it stopped next to the soldiers. The door opened up and a person walked out. They had the hunter corp uniform on and a captain coat was fluttering in the wind. The number 3 was present on their back. This person was the new Captain of Squad 3 after Toge Himoka had "retired" 3 months ago.

The soldiers stood up straight and saluted the man.

"Captain Marco!" said a soldier.

"At ease men now tell me what happened." replied Marco.

Captain of Squad 3 Marco Diablo. The man was in his early twenties, he had short military cut black hair that had ash grey highlights in it. He had a bulky silver cross necklace that adorned his neck and had glowing blue eyes that shown softly.

"YES SIR!" said the solider.

"Right and then when we got here it suddenly exploded, we thought this was an attack against us so we sent troops in seconds later all of them were killed by those three in front of you but some civilians were caught in the cross fire sir." said the first solider.

"I see I get the picture you were only acting in self-defense..." said Marco.

Marco looked at the three and slowly walked towards them. Gale had a blank look on his face as he stood up and also walked towards Marco. They soon stood in front one another.

"You all will be arrested and brought into the Squad 6.5 prison for murder of citizens and my soldiers." said Marco.

"And would you go to prison for killing multiple refuges?" replied Gale.

"Of course, not my men were only acting in self-defense you're going straight to prison." said Marco with a smile on his face.

"You mean that testing lab where you research and do experiments on all the inmates 6.5 right." asked Gale.

Marco didn't say anything until he suddenly launched his fist in the teens stomach blasting him backwards a few feet.

"BOSS!" Shouted Lio and Angel.

"As I thought i couldn't do it" said Marco as he suddenly hunched over.

"Do what asshole?!" Shouted Angel.

"Breath the same air as you rebel scum" said Marco as he stood back up straight to show he had a gas mask on his face now and was sterilizing his hand he punched Gale with profusely.

Gale spat some blood on the floor and then wiped his mouth.

"You hunter corp bastards think you are so high and mighty acting all the time if you some type of godsent to protect us. It makes me sick !" shouted Gale.

He reached his hand towards the flames still burning at the bus stop and the flames flew towards him but while it was flying towards him the orange and red color turned into a bright purple flame as it ingulfed his right hand. He sent Marco a grin and then swiped his hand through the flames which in the process glowed brighter and then turned into a flaming Katana.

Lio nodded his head and held out both his hands as they were suddenly frozen into giant ice cubes when cracking was heard and the ice broke reveling him to wear bulky spiky ice gauntlets. Angel sent Marco a cheeky smirk and then taped her toes against the ground when suddenly both her legs were ingulfed with a bright light. When the light settled down it showed she had high heel thigh length boots that was made of pure lightning.

The captain suddenly released a lot of killing intent and a vein was throbbing on his fore head.

"You insects dare raise your weapons against me?" said Marco slowly.

His blue eyes shown bright as he roared and took out his weapon which were two giant battle axes. Gale suddenly disappeared and then appeared in front of Marco and bringing his katana down on the captains Axes. An explosion pushed all the soldiers back as the weapons clashed against each other. As the two started slashing against one another they were only seen as blurs destroying the local surrounding. Marco suddenly felt a presence behind him causing him to look behind him only to see Lio standing there both his gauntlets glowing.

"[Polar Express]!" shouted Lio.

He launched a barrage of Punches against Marcos back causing him to be launched into a building bringing a dust cloud up. The captain took off the broken gas mask and spat some blood on the wall he was currently stuck in when he saw his vison was getting dark in front of him. Angel was there in the process of doing a drop kick.

"[Pluto Rocket]!" roared Angel.

The impact behind the drop-kicked launched Marco through several buildings behind the current one he was in.

Angel landed softly next to Lio and Gale who were still on guard.

"You weren't kidding when you said they were weak boss." said Angel.

That's when they felt a massive amount of killing intent and they looked with wide eyes towards the wreckage were Marco slowly climbed out of. He was breathing heavy and his once blue eyes were now glowing red.

"Sir are you al..." asked the man be his sentence was cut short.

He couldn't finish his sentence as Marco reached over and grabbed ahold of the man's face in a vice grip when he started to suddenly glow orange. The soldier started to scream but while he was screaming, he started to get thinner and thinner until he was grey and looked like a dry mummy.

"Thanks for playing your role as the sacrificial lambs..." said Marco in a deeper tone now.

He sent the trio a mad grin and he glowed orange as his body became bulkier. He grabbed both his axes and held them next to one another causing them to glow, seconds later they fused together to make a giant double headed war Axe. Marco disappeared and suddenly grabbed Lio by the head and launched upwards dragging him through the building as they flew up.

"LIO!" Shouted Angel.

"[Shield Wrecker]!" roared Marco.

He threw Lio in the air and the slashed him across the chest launching him straight like a missile through multiple buildings and the ground causing a grove to be made. When the dust settled down it showed Lio was breathing heavy and his eyes were rolled back showing he was knocked out.

"You bastard!" roared Angel.

Her legs glowed and she ran up the building at Mach speed causing the glass to break behind her, it took her seconds to be above Marco.

"[Deus Machia]!" said Angel.

Her foot glowed dark red and black as she brought it down with an axe kick on Marco who had a smile on his face. The explosion cleared all the surrounding clouds. A figure was suddenly shown being launched from the cloud and straight in the ground causing a giant chasm to form. In the center of the chasm layed a severely injured Angel she was unconscious as well.

"And then there was only one." said Marco.

The man laughed as he landed on the ground causing the ground to break as it couldn't support his new weight and power.

Gale had a look of anger etched in his face as he trailed his finger along the flame katana edge, seconds later the katana glowed brighter and a massive surge of mana came from the blade.

"[ Burning Universe]!" said Gale.

A massive purple slash traveled through the air towards Marco who laughed again.

"You don't have the guts to send that attack through to me there are thousands of residential areas behind me!" shouted Marco

"THATS WHY WE WILL BLAST YOU IN THE AIR!" roared Lio and Angel.

Marco looked behind him frantically and saw the two teens severely injured yet they stood up.

"[Deus Machia]!" said Angel.

"[Artic Collapse]!" said Lio

Angels foot glowed dark red and black again as Lio's right arm glowed neon blue as they both drove their strongest attack against the captain launching him in the air. Just when Burning Universe was going to hit the two Gale Appeared in front of them.

"[Burning Universe] X2!!!" spoke Gale out.

He slashed the attack again only this time upwards and as the attacks went upwards it changed into a giant purple dragon roaring defiantly. The attack reached Marco as a giant explosion happened. All three teens were panting as two of them had severe injuries and Gale had mana deficiency while some injuries from his fight at the beginning with Marco.

"I could go for some food right now what do you guys say?" said Lio.

"Hell yeah!" said Gale and Angel.

All three of them suddenly stopped and looked in the air to see Marco was holding a giant axe that was the size of a sky scraper.

"I took this move from that glasses bitch who was Toge's Vice Captain!" shouted Marco.

"[E for Extinction]!" roared Marco.

He roared as he brought the axe down which slowly sailed through the air. Gale heard the sounds of crying and saw multiple families of refugees and citizens screaming out in fear. Everything went into slow motion as he tried to reach out and protect the citizens as Lio and Angel tried to Save Gale, Thats when suddenly a figure appeared in front of them and took out a black katana.

"[Kosumosu kuchiku-kan]…" said the new voice.

A massive red blade suddenly appeared and cut the giant axe straight into to two causing a defining silence to occur which was suddenly replaced with an extremely loud explosion which broke all the glassed of any nearby windows. After it settled down Gale slowly opened his eyes and saw Marco was on the ground no longer so muscular and was unconscious with a massive slash wound across his chest. He quickly looked around and saw all the citizens were alright and crying.

"You care to explain what happened here?" said the new voice

That's when Gale and his crew looked up to see a man that appeared to be 19 years old. He had his hair in a comb over hair style which was black with white stripes, he had glowing maroon eyes and had a scar going downwards on his right eye and a scar going across his nose bridge. He wore the general uniform and had a white captain coat on. In his hand was a black katana which he sheathed slowly and, on his hip, rested another black katana.

"Who are you?" asked gale as he looked the man in the eyes.

"Sebastian Topaz now explain what happened." answered Sebastian as his eyes glowed softly.
