Endless Adventure

Chapter 11 - So What now?

Miles was scared shitless from my show of talent and was trying to run away. Of course I couldn't let him go as he could alert the Organization. I ran up and picked up my knife. I tried to extend my Ten around the weapon to perform Shu. I failed my attempt as I just now learned Ten and my control over it still lacked.

Shu is an advanced application of Ten. Shu allows a user of Nen to enshroud an object with their aura, allowing them to use that object as an extension of their own body. For example, one could use Shu to extend their Ten around a weapon, which would strengthen and protect it.

I threw my knife at Miles and he didn't even try to dodge it. My knife made a contact with his Ten and weakened it. I ran after him and attacked the exact place that was weakened by my knife. He turned around and tried to punch me but couldn't penetrate my Ten. I easily beat him up and finally killed him. I went next to the window and observed the three other rookies. If I could I would've killed them too but I had to leave them alive.

I went to the garage and took gasoline from the cars and stored it in plastic containers. After filling up the containers I started to spill gasoline all over the building. Thankfully there were a lot of flammable materials in a building. Using a match I "borrowed" from the gang member I started the fire. Fire quickly spread through synthetic fibers. I covered myself with Ten so that I don't get burned. Ten also protected me from smoke coming from the fire.

I exited the building carefully so that three rookies could not locate me. They were too scared to enter the building and contacted the Organization. I left them alive so that they would be my shields.

No one exited the building so they would tell the Organization that everyone who was inside died. Organization most likely would think I died in a battle and before my death I trapped Cason and Miles in a building to die with me. I just hope that the Organization has no Nen user that could locate people. Or I would be screwed. They underestimated me this time and only send Nen apprentice but if they send a Nen master I would die before knowing what killed me.

I looked at my stats as there was some change there.

....

In my Abilities section it showed that I was Nen Apprentice and I know only Ten.

I didn't know where to go now. I can't go back to the Meteor City as I would die there. I couldn't even travel the world as I don't have any Identification papers and I couldn't use the one given by the Organization.

I could participate in Heavens Arena but that would make too many changes in the storyline. Gin and Killua would visit it in the future and that's where they would learn about Nen.

The only option that I could consider is taking Hunter exam and become a Hunter. Hunter license has many benefits, those include:

1)95% of all public facilities can be used at no cost. Furthermore, all such services are provided at first class.

2)Unrivaled freedom to travel around the world. Access is granted to about 90% of countries which normally restrict the entry of outsiders, and access to 75% of areas that the general public is restricted or even prohibited from entering.

3)Reduced legal responsibility for murder. However, a Hunter can be prosecuted after repeated acts of murder without justification or if they attack the envoy of a person with political authority.

4)The ability to sell the Hunter License as a valuable collector's item. Though only the original owner of a Hunter License can take advantage of its normal benefits, it can be still sold for enough money to support the seller's family for at least 7 generations or to guarantee lifetime material comfort.

5)The ability to use the license as collateral for a zero-interest loan of 100 million Jenny Currency Symbol.

6)Access to the secret Hunters-only Website, where secret intelligence about various subjects, uploaded by other Hunters, can be purchased.

7)The ability to hire convicts under conditions of absolute obedience, with the possibility of shortening their sentences. This power extends to death-row convicts, whom the Hunter or a proxy of theirs can execute on the spot should they violate any terms of the agreement.

8)Exemption from certain educational and professional degree requirements.

9)The privilege to bypass certain age-restricted laws.

I could also make some progress in my Missions.

But after some thought I declined to take Hunter exam as of right now because I had a better idea and how to complete 3 missions.
