Endless Adventure

The Hunter Exam occurs once every year starting from January 7th and lasts for a period comprised between one week and one month. The exact date and time is communicated to the applicant upon registering. The application deadline is December 31st.

The Exam Hall changes each year along with the stages of the exam, and it is impossible to find on one's own. Applicants are given only approximate information on the location of the exam. In order to reach it, they must find a navigator. Navigators could range from humans to magical beasts. As the navigators for Gon and his gang were magical beasts that could transform to humans. When I just landed on the island I tried finding the navigator.

First thing I did was use Gyo in my eyes. As it could help me see traces of aura that so faint that they might go unnoticed otherwise. And I just started to explore the island.

When I was exploring the island I heard the rumors about the navigator that could lead you to the Hunter Exam if you paid him enough price. It was said he lived in the center of the island. Curious I went to see that navigator.

When I arrived in front of his house there were already more than forty people there. He was a strong looking middle aged man. He was talking about how he first became a hunter and how he was the best from the same exam.

I went thru many people and got in front lines. I raised my finger, and used Gyo on that finger then I used Ten to make a shape of number 666. I didn't try to hide it using In to make it easier. I then asked so called "navigator who was the best in his exam", "What do you see in my finger?"

He looked confused at me and answered, "I see nothing, don't bother me." I confirmed he was a conman and already fooled more than forty people. I left that place and kept searching a real navigator. I also heard of many so called navigators but when I went there to see them they were total fakes. Only one smart one told me he saw a face of a kid, when I showed him number 69.

I walked around the island when I saw a young man who constantly used Ten. As the Ten is the skill that you could never forget once you learned it. I went to him and asked, "Are you the navigator?"

He looked at me and said, "Navigator? Who is that I don't know anyone like that! Don't bother me!"

By tingeing one's Ren with hostility, a Nen user can exert what is colloquially referred to as "bloodl.u.s.t". As I killed many people when I worked as a Blacklist Hunter I had a strong bloodl.u.s.t.

When I showed my bloodl.u.s.t he couldn't say anything for few minutes and said, "I'm not the navigator but know who he is. Follow me!"

I followed him and he came next to the remote house next to the forest. There he called out and an old man came out from the house. The young man explained everything to the old man. Frowning old man said to me, "I have to test you before I can let you enter the exam."

I frowned and started to get annoyed. I once again released my bloodl.u.s.t. After experiencing it he drastically change his expression. Smiling he said to me, "On the other hand you have such a great talent. So let's just skip the test."

He invited me to his house and the next day we left for the Exam site. It took us 2 days of train riding and 1 day of ship travel. We have arrived to the desolate island. There were many people on that island already. They were most likely the participants in this Hunter exam. When I landed on an island. When I landed I was given a tag number 362. Showing I was 362nd participant that arrived to the island. I looked around and saw him. Tall person who was mix of magician and jester. He had long pinkish red hair, pale skin and toned physique. He wore face paint of a star on his right cheek and a teardrop on his left cheek. He was leaning against the tree and was shuffling his cards between his hands. Then I looked at the other participants I saw no one who stood out from the crowd of people. Then I looked at the sea. The new ship was coming to the island. When the ship took ashore.

After few minutes people exited the ship and the person who first left the ship was him. As he took his number tag which was number 363. I just wanted to throw away my number tag. As that person was him and I never even wanted to interact with him so I went inside the forest so he doesn't see me.

As I was entering the forest he called out for me. I turned around and saw him.
