ENDLESS MYTH : Surpassing The Gods.

"Shit, shit, shit"

A young man was running in the forest. He was extremely fast. He zigzagged in the forest like nothing. What made him even more incredible was how fast he was despite the level of fat on his body. Viewed from the side, it was like watching a round ball bouncing around. His direction seemed random but in fact, he had a goal all along. Still, why was he running so much?

The second shadow, a man said to the side. His red eyes and black hairs were extremely beautiful.

The fatty, after stopping running and taking a deep breath said with some anger on his face.

After expressing her disp.l.e.a.s.u.r.e, the woman suddenly took a breath and then send a roar even more domineering than the two who were after the fatty. This attack immediately stunned the two of them.

The second man, using this lapse on attention clasped his hands together and after putting one knee on the soil put his hands and shouted

Suddenly from the earth, tens of chains shoot out and began to bind the two beasts, completely stopping them from moving or even making a sound.

The fat man, suddenly laughed and screamed like a possessed man. A swing from his hand sends two arcs of wind filled with fire toward the head of the two beasts who were now unable to defend themselves. The result was clean. The two beasts lost their heads.

The man who stayed silent after forming the chains approached the fat one and asked,

As he walked with his two teammates, Sol couldn't help but thinking how lucky he was to have such good teammates. Now in order to understand what is happening, we should get back a few hours earlier.

The young woman had short blonde hair, tanned skin, and green eyes. She was truly well endowed and wasn't shy about it. Her attire consisted of a red bikini top, short fringed shorts and on her hands were two black gloves. She had a backpack that seemed more or less full.

Frankly while looking at her, she was truly s.e.xy, but Sol doubted of the protection such attire could give in a forest. The chubby one, on the other hand, gave him a wretched vibe. He didn't seem malicious, it just felt like that he could sell you and ask you to count the money for him.

The three of them looked at each other in silence, finally, the chubby one opened his mouth.

"Hum... Guy, I don't know for you, but if we continue like that we will be here all night. Let me present myself", with a low bow he continued, " my name is Feng Huan, my constellation is the [PHOENIX] "

Sol looked a the girl. She was munching on a chewing gun after popping a bubble, she said with a bored tone, "Call me Alex, my constellation is [DRACO] " She didn't seem all that interested in talking.

Sol seeing that he was le last simply said: "Sol Heracles, my constellations are [HYDRA] [HERCULES] [CRUX] and [LUPUS] ".

The two looking at him with a stunned expression. Still, this didn't last long. Of course, the two of them were now looking at him with a more respectful expression. The girl even more so. Sol knew why she acted like that.

Those under Draco also suffered a suppression by those under Heracles. The dragons were a powerful mythical beast who even dared to fight the gods. Sadly the dragon who gave birth to the Draco constellation was the dragon Ladon a powerful dragon with hundreds of heads, each one speaking a different language. Seeing the strange look cross Feng and Sol's face, Alex grew a little irritated and spoke. "What did you think I was a girl with no brain ?"

Sol blushed a little this time, he was a little embarrassed as it was exactly what he thought. In his defense, while it was a little s.e.xist, it's very hard to take seriously a girl who is walking in such attire. Still, he wasn't one who couldn't accept his mistake.

Feng Huan on the other hands laughed out loud. " Ah ah ah, you shouldn't be angry, the stereotype of big boobed girl having no brain is pretty hard to avoid".

Alex's expression, who softened a little after Sol's apology, immediately went red in anger after hearing Feng Huan and began to argue with him.

The other two weren't stupid. They naturally understood that he wanted them to follow him. After walking back some Kilometers away. Feng Huan finally couldn't help himself and ask.

"So? What did you feel?"

"A pack, medium-sized one, about forty or so."

"Were you able to feel their ranks?" this time it was Alex who posed the question.

"Yes, one legend rank and about 8 heroes. The others are just trainees."

*whistle* "Pretty big catch. How do we act?" asked Feng Yu.

Sol thought about it. While this pact was large, only the legendary one posed any form of danger. He could easily jump headfirst and fight it out with them. What more if the two were half as competent as they seemed, they will be all but a burden. Still, such an occasion to train their teamwork would be extremely low in the late stage of the test. So better get some experience.

Now we came back to after they successfully implanted their plan. The setting sun on the horizon made for a beautiful scene. Since they didn't have the time to find a water source, they decided to simply make a camp and continue on the next day.

The atmosphere was mellow, they didn't start a fire, since on one hand they were able to see in the dark, and on the other hand, making a fire camp in such situations would have been incredibly stupid. The meat had been smoked by Feng Huan a little earlier, while the scents of smoked meat have been dispersed in a different zone by his wind.

The silence between them wasn't the awkward one of this morning but a more peaceful and pleasant silence. The kind born between people who knew that the other wasn't a burden.

Sol silently looked at the tree around him. Even now his ability [CHILD OF THE FOREST] was empowering him, what more the concentration of aether was so high that it becomes like a light mist. Every simple breath would help him grow a little stronger.

Sol envied them a little. He didn't have any friends. His introverted nature comes from his lack of human interaction. The only being close to him were women such as his sister Helen, his aunt Anastasia and his fiancee. Apart from those three, he had no one he could say to be close with. A far cry from how it was in the past when his house was constantly swarmed by different elders and their children.

Society was cold and heartless. People, nobles even more so, didn't care about who you're, where you came from and how you feel. The only thing people cared about was how useful or dangerous you'll be to them. If you're useless then you have no right to exist in their eyes.

Sol directly felt this coldness and it changed him. He became bored with life, he became cold and detached. The only thing that stopped him from going full emo was the fact that he knew that even though he had it bad, there were people who suffered from far worse but still chooses to get up and fight.

Sadly Sol didn't have such firm willpower. Or rather he was so overly rationale that people who could still fight despite all odds being against them were like an alien in his eyes. He couldn't understand them, he didn't want to understand them, at least... Until now. Now he knew that it was time to stop acting like a coward. He knew it... But... Sol decided to tell a white lie. He didn't know why, but she seemed to have a rose-tinted view of what nobles truly were.

He wasn't hypocritical. When he thought about how cold and ruthless society was, he included himself in it. He also judged people based on their value in the past and despite his young age back then. Becoming a victim didn't stop the fact that you were once a perpetrator. What more he wasn't totally lying. Nobles truly followed righteousness(In that the strong is always right) and acted for the greater good(By killing anyone being too troublesome for them).

"I knew it. Say, is it possible for a commoner to become a noble ?" she was a little shy as she asked this, a far cry from the personality she showed a little earlier. Sol stilled and shared a look with Feng Huan. This wasn't classified info, any constellationist, no, any blessed could easily learn this with enough research. It means that she came from a background where such info was hard or basically impossible to obtain. Still, everyone had their fair share of secrets and they didn't know each other enough to share them. Just as Sol was about to answer her,
