[DEVOUR]. It's a very powerful concept. One didn't need to be a genius to understand his use. The ones who could use this concept were able to absorb any form of energy and use it form themselves. The only limit was the quantity one could absorb at one time.

Now, a concept couldn't be learned simply because one wished to. One couldn't just say that he would understand [FIRE], close his eyes five minutes and say that he understood it. Well... some people could do it. But just a few ones.

There are different paths to power. Sol knew four to be exact. The Aether art practiced by constellationist was called [ARS ASMADEL]. They're also three other types of magic that are [ARS GOETIA ] ; [ARS THEURGIA GOETIA] and finally l'[ARS PAULINA ]. Those four Ars represented four paths.

There was no need to go too in-depth about the other. The simple reality was that since the way they used Aether was different, the way they understood concepts was also different.

The one who had it the easiest were those who used [ARS PAULINA], they were called Apostle. They didn't need to learn concepts. They just needed to follow their faith in order to receive one.

After them, came the user of [ARS ASMADEL]. Constellationist didn't have it as easy as Apostle, but understanding concepts were relatively easy for them. As long as they used their connections to the constellation and understood their innate ability and some Ars, everything else would flow like water.

The best examples of this situation were Artemis and Emilio. The concept they used were closely linked to their constellations. All constellationist were like that. It didn't matter how many you learned, one should at least belong to one of your abilities.

Here comes the problem. With his present constellations, he could understand a great number of concepts related to laws like [TIME], [SPACE], [MIGHT], [LIFE AND DEATH]. All of them were powerful laws in their own right, but he had no constellation related to [GULA].

That where his conceptual weapon came into play. They weren't called conceptual weapon for nothing. If they were talented enough, those who managed to create conceptual weapons with a fragment from mythical objects could also learn some of the concepts still embedded in them. For the even more talented, they could even try to connect their consciousness with that of the previous user of the mythical weapons from which the fragment came from, and, understand some of the law they used.

For example, now that Emilio had an understanding of [SUPRESSION] after he reaches legend, he could learn a concept like [CUT] from his sword if he talents in [SPACE] wasn't too bad.

Which mythical object fragments were used for Sol conceptual weapon? None. His conceptual weapon wasn't born from fusing a part of his soul with a fragment but rather, a real mythical weapon.

This weapon once belonged to Sun Wukong, the [HANDSOME MONKEY KING], or [HEAVEN EQUAL]. Truly grand name, but anyone who knows his myth will understand that they are deserved. Sol weapon was formed with the true, complete and authentic [RUYI JINGU BANG].

That weapon was able to grow on command to what the owner says and was capable of injuring and even killing almost all gods. The staff was also deceptively but monstrously heavy, with few beings besides Sun Wukong being able to even lift the staff.

[RUYI JINGU BANG] size could be altered according to the Monkey King's will. It could grow broader or slimmer and taller or shorter at will. It could reach incredible lengths, as it was able to reach all the way from the moon to the earth which is 384 403 km (238,900 miles) long or it could become as small as a needle. Finally, even it's weight could be altered.

This was truly a godly weapon. No, a god-killing weapon to be exact. Simple but effective. It couldn't reverse causality like [GUGNIR] or [GAE BOLG]. it couldn't cut everything like [JUUCHI YOSAMU], it couldn't see all truth like [YATA NO KAGAMI]. No, it could do none of that. One of the weapon sole features was its god-slaying attributes, its weight, and its length. This weapon was simply used to crush one adversary with overwhelming strength, speed, and skills.

The reason why it wasn't one a fragment was that in one part, it was simply because [RUYI JINGU BANG] was indestructible. Long ago, this weapon was lost by the [HEAVEN EQUAL] after his ultimate fight against Baigujin as it was in its needle form.

During the thousands of years that went by, this weapon went from hands to hands none being the wiser that they held an incredible weapon. Mythical weapons weren't different from trash if they aren't held by their chosen one. This trend continued until the day when a young child found a beautiful needle that was glowing in the dark. This child was Sol of course.

Even now, Sol had a feeling of incredulity and happiness when he thought of how he managed to obtain a true mythical weapon of such a high level. The funniest part was that, back then, when he understood exactly what he found, he thought that he could instantly become like Sun wukong and slay gods like chicken.

Sadly, reality slapped him in the face like a square brick. Mythical weapons were incredibly powerful true, but if one didn't have the required level, it would be a burden rather than a boon. Not everyone could be like King Arthur and obtain a holy weapon that could destroy space accompanied by a scabbard that made you immortal. All that, obtained simply by seducing a fairy. Life was truly unjust sometimes.

The first time he tried to truly use [RUYI JINGU BANG], he destroyed his house and had his arm broken while he fainted because the weapon s.u.c.k.e.d all his energy in one gulp.

Even right now, he couldn't use it without carefully regulating the weight and the time he could use it was still really short. This was really a shame.

Sol let a sigh as he thought of how disappointed he was at that time. He truly thought that he could become supremely powerful in one go. Still, he had nothing else blame than his own weakness. He should already be happy to have been chosen by such a weapon. This was yet another reason for choosing [DEVOUR]. After all, if he had an unlimited amount of energy, even if he couldn't use [RUYI JINGU BANG] at its full power, he would still be able to use it as long as he wanted.

Now that everything was clear and neatly prepared, he made his second mind stop trying to decipher concepts and rather concentrate on the seal he needed to apply.

When he will try to reach the legend rank, nothing should disturb him. The safest way was to wait at night or the next morning to calm himself and breakthrough in one go.

He also needed to be somewhere alone far from most people. After all, If he succeeded, he would not only have a powerful concept, but he would be able to reinforce the seal on this accursed power. On the other hand, If he failed... Well this everything in a few meters radius around him would simply be erased.

(Why I'm even so hurried? This isn't like me, perhaps I should wait for a little and do it after going back ho.. )

He shook his head, a little, (What was I thinking again? How could I give up right now? I better concentrate on how to correctly reinforce the seal during my breakthrough.)

"Sol, is everything alright?" asked Alex after seeing him suddenly shake his head.

Sol let a smile to calm her.

"Everything is alright. Don't worry. "

"If you say so..."

She didn't insist, after all, she didn't think that there was seriously something wrong.

"I don't know for you guys, but my tummy is completely empty, look how much I slimmed down, that won't do. We should go back fast and cook this meat. "

Feng tapped his belly with gusto as he drooled while looking at the wrapped meat of the legend beast. The other two let a laugh at that. This situation made Sol forget his previous worries.

(Yes, everything will be alright, I shouldn't worry so much. )

If Sol could have eyes behind his back... He would have seen that... his shadow was smiling...

(AN 1: A short chapter, but it ended exactly as I wanted, so I couldn't continue. Also frankly, who didn't see something like this coming? I think that I let enough hints along the way. But who caused this? Is it Minos? Or is it something else? Well, you'll see it later.)

(AN 2 : I try to avoid making things appear out of nowhere. I won't say that I planned everything from the beginning, but many things had a far-reaching meaning in my story. The names I use, the places I show, the anecdotes, etc. With some of the hint I let, I'm sure that many of you already managed to more or less guess what the power sealed in Sol is. )

(AN 3: Finally, I posted two auxiliaire chapters. Go take a look)
